1- your car is no more as the maker sell it so , as you can't produce all the engineering papers to homologate it , it's illegal.
2- In the event of a crash with someone else , as cars are designed to absorb the impact , reinforcing your car with a roll cage reduce the amount your car absorb , leaving the other car absorbing it , resulting in more serious injuries to the other driver. tl:dr the repartition of the damages aren't equal , it's not fair , so here's a law for it.
so, here in France basically, i can put a rollcage and ride the streets, i don't think cops will bust me on that (but they can) but if I've an accident with it , the insurance can retract , and you're in for a big trouble, big time, you become the one at fault. They are in the UK but if they have these kinds of laws ...
On the limit, still exchanges pleasantries to drivers he passes. Wicked Lap! GTI6 for life!
4:08 His right foot: "COME ON, GO FASTER!"
Vive la baguette 🤣🤣
I’m french and i love this kind of humor
Incredible skill 😵
We couldn't help ourselves 😂 these French hatches just bring out the best in us 🤙🏻
That's some serious driving here. Most entertaining lap i've seen in a while. Thats is so satisfying to watch, no drifting Bimmers, no supercars going ultra fast relying on electronic safeguards.
I had a 306 1.9 diesel as a courtesy car a few years ago, 180,000 miles, seats would move about a foot under hard braking/acceleration.
Absolutely loved it, continuous smile on my face! Steering wheel was off centre, gearbox felt like custard. The contagious torque made handbrake turns effortless. When Peugeot were 👍🏻👌🏻😄
It was a long time since I've seen a BTG lap that is so enjoyable! Great job!
Glad we could be of service Sergey 🤙🏻🙌🏻
Absolutely on the limit and beyond, what a driver and what a car. Love these. Reminded me of Senna with the footwork.
1:18 downshifted so clean you thought you missed a gear XD
Nice. Here in California we have to do that stuff in Hondas , but I'd love to drive one of those.
Love that final shift
It’s like, yeah I own you. How do you like them apples
I miss my old French rockets... the 306 and the 405 mi16 had such great chassis you could always manage the oversteer and look cool as fuck doing it!
You obviously have skill and feel confident in and with the car. But Please. Fit a rollcage, harness and bucket seat. Your luck runs out faster than you might think. Safety is the most important thing in racing. Those 3000 euros or so will determine if you live or die. Life is priceless, safety isnt. Hope you will make the right choice
@drunkduck It also slows down the rate at which you die from mistakes. Potato / potato.
@drunkduck when you are dead, you also lose weight. And from recent studies, dying slows your life down a lot
@drunkduck yes but on a much slower rate. I dont need a rollcage in my daily life
@drunkduck yes there are more people that go fast without a cage. But not in this level. He is going over the limit. Of you dont see the problem, There is something wrong with you. I dont think you even know what you are talking about.
Boosted One damn so nothing positive comes after being dead?
Damn son you can drive. My pulse went up watching this, outstanding.
Big respect for this drive ! Absolutly on the limit! You have big skills on this car 👏🏼👏🏼
Most enjoyable lap I've ever watched. Flat out complete faith in the car and your skills. Loved it
At first I was wondering, how is he going to cope with the lift off over steer problem. Then I saw he just embraced it. Left foot braking in a 306 is advised.
Lift off oversteer is great in the pugs. So much fun at the same time as driving
Yeah my GTi6 was amazing in how intentionally chuckable they engineered a road car (felt a bit naughty), but was also really refined when not being a lout.
@@JN-qj9gf I never had a gti6 but I owned an xldt non sport turbo and it was really knowable. Once entered a rounds out on hard lock at silly speeds in my younger days. The passive rear steering. saved me 😂
Can anyone inform me why does lift off over steer happen? Is it because of the sudden grip on front tyres and weight transfer?
@@adodoes8770 Pretty much yes. Letting out throttle quick enough to upset/lighten the rear end, which makes it rotate quicker. Most cars have it fairly dialled out in the suspension tuning (and ESC).
The Pug GTi's do it pretty easily but its gradual and you can feel what the car is doing.
simply amazing, congratulations m8, a spectacular driving
Vueltaca impresionante!!! Saludos Axel !!!
El control del pie izquierdo es brutal
una bestia el colega🏁👍🏼
Brutal...vaya control
Axel este tio es un inglés racista me lo ha dicho en otro comentario, racist english guy not respect from me.
Someone with real driving talent at the Nurburgring!
Some serious going there man. Well done! 💨
Definitely my favourite ring lap. The commitment on the mini carousel is astounding. You have giant balls.
That‘s one angry Pug driven so wonderfully! Shmee, Archie and the gang, you have got so much to learn how to make your videos interesting!
Chassis Peugeot, suspensions Peugeot, moteur Peugeot + un bon pilote.... what else? On sait pourquoi quand Peugeot vient en rallyes, il gagne!
chassis citroen zx, moteur citroen zx :D
It's not Peugeot suspension
Unchartedplayer15 wishbone pseudo mcpherson is 4 peugeot design
@@jurgen6238 Look in the description of the video, there are the mods listed
is better an astra gsi 16 with a spaniard driver ...
You clearly know the GTi-6 inside and out. Look how perfect that FWD chassis is.
That chassis beated every car of that category
306 GTI-6 is my favourite car that I've owned. I have owned significantly more expensive and more 'exotic' cars since but nothing I've enjoyed as much. S252 DRE hope you're still out there somewhere tearing up a B road !
almost made me cry💔
Definetely didn't lie about ''fully sending it'' in the thumbnail:D
You've honestly got my full respect👍🏻
Fantástica demostración de técnica de conduccion SIN CONTROLES AUTOMÁTICOS. ..... forever joung this style of driving with forever joung supercars
Very nice! Got to love the 306s predictable lift off over steer! On it like a tramp on a sandwich there!! 👍🏻
I have seen a lot of laps of the Ring. Never been so stressed watching one tho. Amazing stuff
😂❤️
Great driving ability, looks totally to the limit, keep show us some high adrenaline videos, great heel toe technique also !!!
I can't believe it that I watched it to the finish. It's like you walking in a departmental store and by the tv section you just stop because it showing your favorite band with your favorite song. You experience the song with whole new perspective. Very nice driving bro.
Still having the time to be friendly to others while - definitely - fully sending it, that's classy.
I love 306's, had a few. This is brilliant showing how good a chassis they do have
I've watched my fair share of ring lap videos and this one is the most impressive 👍
🙌🏻
Amazing lap and driver skill in a "this is a car, make the best of it" type. Added to my favorites next to the 50ish hp Ax diesel.
I know the Nordschleife very well… that’s why I have to say that your driving is extremely excellent!!!
Man that was exciting to watch!
Awesome left foot breaking and handling a FF car at drift... is highly skilled af!
Love it!
306 gti 6 is probably the best to drive hot hatch ever made
Only after you rip out the standard seat and extend the steering wheel towards you . Before that they are intolerable . The sitting on the the car with the steering wheel between your knees thing is just awful .
@@avancalledrupert5130 That's how old cars used to be, bad seating position in most of them.
Im 6ft 4,never had a problem in either my gti6 or 205 gti.
@@mikeygti8930 I don't get how . When I had a d turbo I lost my shit and cut all the foam out the seat at the side of the road . Still feel way to high after but better . Would bang my knee on the steering wheel every time I break . 106 and saxo are the same . I tried to drive a k11 once that was impossible . Steering wheel right between the knees. But k12 is perfect seat goes really low steering wheel can go right up and back towards you .
All french cars feel like whoever designed them has never actually seen a human being to me .
@vindaloo gay love as standard against more modern cars, not really. Mines pretty modified and makes 85bhp more than when it came out of the factory
Amazing driving, manhandling that car like a champ.
Un bon exemple ! Les moyens ne justifient pas le talent !
ça a tendance à être souvent oublié..
Oui car grosse voiture petite kekette
@@yzfr1rr654 mdrr grave
A masterclass in fwd driving. Those slides and catches were awesome!
Mad skills bro - This makes me want a gti6 as My next track car !! Well done you smashed it
Great driving! The 306 does the job great
🤙🏻 The 306 flows well through the Ring!
Congrats on your Gold IA-15 license....sorta. Just need to do the same thing in a 190e lol
Renault has Jean Ragnotti. Peugeot has this guy.
This was my first and propably last Peugeot video that I will ever like. Excellent driving.
👏🏻 awesome flying lap, 2:54 was a heart pounding moment, could have gone very wrong, bravo!
i bet many supercar drivers questioned every choice they made in life)
"DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT' 👊
The fact he drifted a Peugeot 306 around 1:25 ish is impressive enough
To be fair, when you know these chassis, it really isn't. The back end likes to play a lot on those, but it's really progressive and manageable.
@@HugoAmasing yea, I just got a 306 1.6 sport. Not the fastest car, but man does it handle corners like a champ. This is the first car I havew driven that feels like it's on rails and won't go anywhere you don't want it to go. With that being said i did feel the rear end slip a bit a few times, but that was when changing from a right corner to a left fast or vice versa. All in all an amazing car, idk if I'll ever sell it.
Left foot braking, rev matching, heel and toeing, powershifting. Critics can't say shit. They gotta sit down biatch. The amount of respect I got for you bro. 100%.
he's a legend but there was no double clutching in there
@@achilleaustin yh My bad bro. Reviewed it again. Realised I was wrong. Though I'd seen double clutching
@@princedesouza69 that guy can fucking drive though damn
I'm a big pug fan myself, but this was all driver!!
His massive balls gave the car an incredible low center of weight!!!
Very entertaining and well done.
Bravo, encore!!
2:50 O.O niceeeeeeeee
I wanna learn to drive like you. 😃👍
4:25, Nissan owner regretting not getting a Peugeot 306 lol
These cars handle absolutely fantastic, even basic 306's estate's have a good steering feel and reasonable body control.
i just discovered this channel, you guys are fun to watch, i wander why this channel is not that famous, you deserve more views!
So you overtook a 360Z and E46 with a spoiler in a Peugeot 306.
2:10 powershift?
Respect!!
RING106RALLYE on ne peux que respecter... il faudrait qu’on se fasse une session un jour ! 😁
Love it. Had a stripped out 306GTI back in 2007. Good to see this casr is still in shape to kick ass :-) Long live N/A cars.
And btw great driving.
Amazing driving with probably the best camera quality
I’m impressed , 8 minutes an the Zonda supposably did it in a little pass 7 minutes 🤔
Every comment on this video:
“Get a roll cage!!!!”
I want this skills, but you need a roll cage, protect your skills bro, awesome driving, I love to see the foots, looks like salsa dancing
This is truly inspiring. You had a race with death and you won. I want to push it to my limits like this.
One of the best laps of the 'Ring I've seen, and thanks to UA-cam,1 I've seen a lot. Awesome skillz fella
