Johnny. Please don't apologize. Given the passion that is so clear in your work, but being busy handling real life stuff, it's very understandable why you can't make these video. It's your work, and you owe us nothing.

mardiman641 This man will eventually review every Sonic game there is. Honestly the only ones I can think of that he still hasn't are Sonic Shuffle, Segasonic, and the Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games franchise.
The Johnny Parable. I dunno, I’m lame. Anyway, love that you used the Mania version of Stardust Speedway Act 1 (Past) at the beginning of the review there. I find it highly underrated in comparison to Act 2.
God damn it, I love you so much Johnny. You're such a genuine, honest and passionate dude -- exactly what this website needs more of. You remind me of the good ol' days of UA-cam. Keep it up, broham.
Johnny, your latest donators marathon was so good, I didn't notice that it was sorter, you can take as long as you need on a long game or make a short video, your quality keeps us coming back , no matter how big or how small.
I'd gladly take compilation videos of shorter games but if it remains one video per game, there's no reason any of us can argue with that. Keep up the great work Johnny!
I vote for the batch reviews provided you can find some sort of common thread between the games concerned. Also, I KNOW THAT OUTRO MUSIC AND DAMN AM I HYPED NOW.
me too, since i saw a loong time ago he had that videogame on his shell i knew he will someday have to do a videogame out of it and i wanna see him get frustrated for it
Man, I forgot this game had outrageous achievements: Clicking Door 430 "five times", 8888888888888, Not playing for five years then come back, and the unachieveable achievement.
I would LOVE a video game compilation review. It would be like your PlayStation review where you reviewed multiple games! Keep up the great work Johnny, your stuff is always worth the wait.
Dude, don’t even apologize. Your quality is so high, I wouldn’t care if I had to wait a month or two between reviews. And if I did, there’s still BSC and SGB to get my Johnny fix from. And now you’ve got me all excited with that music. I know what you have planned, and may God have mercy on your soul.
But he also said on Twitter that with the Reignited Trilogy coming out, that gives him an excuse to look at the franchise. twitter.com/Somecallmejon/status/981913022963830785
Getting a mega-review? I'd be down, with no matter what you do, so long as you keep doing what you love to do. Honestly, I cannot wait for your next review. Not gonna lie, I got legitimately excited.
BAYMBI!!! Anyways honestly John, my 2 cents on the matter is do what you enjoy, and your work will prosper. Passion makes all the difference so if you feel good about it, then go with it. but if you do multi reviews, I'd say handle them like you did Metal Gear Acid and Acid 2. Like try to have them similar in some way, like don't go throwing a Metroid-like game next to a Gears of War for example. Like this video and Journey would be a good pair to stick together. Spark the electric jester and Freedom Planet, I think you get the idea. But that's ultimately my 2 cents on the matter, make of it what you will. Just remember. White wind cures most status ailments.
The combining diffrent reveiws in one video is a great idea for the next Donators Marathon. Now I'm on edge about the next review, I'm not sure if the song at the end was a clue, but it sounds familiar and I can't quite put my finger on it.
The collective video sounds like a good idea. Keeps the videos long without overdoing it! Also, you made me want to play this game, but I'll wait for a sale. Thanks! ALSO, SUPER HYPED for the next video!!
I would enjoy either format for the vids as long as quality isn't sacrificed. 5 min or 15 I love either as long as it's you being honest and doing what you do best.
Hmmm i understand your reasonings of wanting to clash videos together John but personally i think you should just stick to what you usually do. I think it's more fun if during the donaters marathon each game has it's own video. But if you insist i can't stop ya. Maybe you should depending on how short the games are but if a game is long enough of course do it in it's own video.
I enjoy your videos even if they're short (like this one), but yeah I definitely like longer videos lol. I think it would be a great idea for the next donator marathon to have videos of a few games at once. Wouldn't mind waiting a bit more than usual for it, too. That said, keep up the good work Johnny! Watching your videos makes my day a lot better :)
Johnny games are an interactive medium and they can tell stories in ways that no other mediums can. They can allow you to interact and play through a story instead just reading or watching it and that can (when done well) create stories that have a very unique and powerful impact that no other medium can replicate; and yes sometimes these games will sacrifice traditional video game fun in order to do that but that's not always a bad thing. Saying that all games need to have an element of traditional fun to them is like saying that movies like the Godfather or Ex Machina need to have some action and spectacle in them to justify them being movies. In the same way that not all movies need to be summer blockbusters, not all games need to have an element of traditional video game fun to them. If you can't get behind that mentality, I don't know why you bother with games like the Stanley parable. I'm sorry for this mini rant but it just bugs the hell out of me when you say that certain game stories are better of as books or comics.
I think its a good idea, i love watching long video game videos from my favorites youtubers with a cup of cofee, a bowl of cereal or something. I say do it
7:33 yeah, sounds good 7:44 "the choices are yours, and yours alone!" 7:55 ... wait... the music... NO, JOHNNY NO, OMG. IS THIS EVEN REAL LIFE AT THIS POINT?
I remember a friend of mine showing this game to me. I had no idea what I was getting into and I ended up VEEERY surprised. There are soooo many different paths and some paths you took in the past is remembered by the narrator. And the narrator and scenarios that happen can be pretty funny. This game will be a experience I won't forget
Hey, Johnny. Love your videos and the blood and sweat that's put into it! You're an inspiration to me. If anything, I'd love to see something similar to how IHE handles reviewing every movie of a specific criteria only with the next Donator's Marathon where it can be one big hour-long extravaganza and it's randomly chosen by maybe picking the name out of a hat or an RNG generator. Maybe 6 or 7 games and then in case people don't want to watch the long video, just cut them into seperate reviews later down the line. Just food for thought. Looking forward to the next video! ❤
Take all the time you need, dude. I always get excited to see your videos, you're one of my top UA-camrs. As they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder.
I think a collection of videos is a great idea and very thoughtful of you to put in the extra work for your fans, myself included. Dont worry bout the lack of uploads, you have life stuff to deal with and we all understand that, just keep doing you John
A Donator's Marathon set up like your Vs. PSX video? That would be awesome! They might take a while to make, but those kinds of videos are really satisfying to watch.
For me, it doesn't matter what you do with the donator's marathon, it's all up to you. However, I do think that making a longer video looking at a couple of games, maybe having an interconnecting theme between them, would be cool.
Dear John, I think your idea to bunch a few games together is a great one. Especially if the games have similar themes. Something like similar genres. That way you can leave us satisfied on a cliffhanger like you tend to do and I will have less reason to go "God dammit! He did it again! I don't even know what I'm anticipating here!" everytime. But that's just me.
I think for donator's marathons that yeah, if you just get a couple of small indie digital games or some quick little shovelware games it's totally fine if you want to just do three mini episodes in one big video. That sounds perfect.
That basement is so fuggin rad Johnny. Really great review, I love how straight you are without dipping into hyperbole. I remember so many reviews for this game either being "rah rah it's the greatest meta narrative deconstruction of the genre ever" or "rah rah overhyped garbage that you just watch and don't even play" Love seeing you play it so honest.

Please don't apologize.
Given the passion that is so clear in your work, but being busy handling real life stuff, it's very understandable why you can't make these video.
It's your work, and you owe us nothing.
He owes us his life
You do what you need to do Johnny
Do you mean "You owe us nothing"?
I think the meaning got across, and it's clear English isn't their first language. XD
It is kinda his job
I think if the games are short, you should bundle them together. Otherwise, you should probably stick to one game per video.
Yeah I was thinking this.
Yeah I think that can work, he's technically done it before with Mega Man 4&5.
I agree.
i have nothing new to add here, i just agree with this idea. long game, own video. short game, bundle up something else in there.
Samuel Johnson agreed.

Is that Dark Souls music I hear at the end!? Next marathon is gonna be -git- *gud*
Hope Johnny plays Demon's Souls and Bloodborne as well!
Yakool Yea! It's the track that plays as you create your character. I can't wait to see how Johnny handles it.
Oh, did you get the broom closet ending??? The broom closet ending is my favorite!!!
I found this concerning.
The next review will be the Dark Souls of the Johnny Vs. Series if you catch my drift.
Edit: Wait, that wasn't remotely subtle in the slightest...
Mathias Chrome that was the Dark Souls Of subtle hints...wait...
This comment thread is the Dark Souls of Dark Souls jokes...

JOHNNY VS. XENOBLADE CHRONICLES
Is it weird that this is one of my favorite games despite me never playing it per se?
Edit: NOSTALGIC OUTRO SONG
Anti-A.I. Allegiance wait what is the song from? It does sound familiar but I’m not sure.
Super Joe101 The first Dark Souls.
I was talking about the track before that from his previous reviews, but thanks for the hint.
Ok no joke. I instantly figured it out with Johnny’s recent tweet XD
WHAT IS IT THO?!
God damn it, I love you so much Johnny. You're such a genuine, honest and passionate dude -- exactly what this website needs more of. You remind me of the good ol' days of UA-cam. Keep it up, broham.
It's so weird seeing the new location.
Nathan Geise I don’t know what your talking about, it weirder how calm AVGN has gotten in this new episode though.
lol
Why does the narrator sound like a thomas the tank engine narrator.
Sanju B He's British
This game didn't break the 4th wall, the 4th wall broke the game
Next on the donators marathon: Johnny vs Freddy Fessber's pizzeria simulator
Johnny, your latest donators marathon was so good, I didn't notice that it was sorter, you can take as long as you need on a long game or make a short video, your quality keeps us coming back , no matter how big or how small.
This is the dark souls of Johnny vs videos.
That cliffhanger at the end...
Johnny you already did Sonic Free Riders.
Oooooooooohhhhh Johnny if you could see the smile on my face when that music started playing at the end...
I love the idea. There's a reason we loved your Sonic 06 review John! We love hearing your opinions!
I'd gladly take compilation videos of shorter games but if it remains one video per game, there's no reason any of us can argue with that. Keep up the great work Johnny!

I would LOVE a video game compilation review. It would be like your PlayStation review where you reviewed multiple games! Keep up the great work Johnny, your stuff is always worth the wait.
Didn't Johnny lose a bet to Ted that would make him review a Dragon Quest game? I wonder when that'll come around.

Johnny, will you review the Spyro Reignited Trilogy this September?
anime_gamingxz I think he needs to review the Spyro series first.
I still think that's the next marathon he's going to do after this.
c0mf0rta61ynum6 I remember him saying he had no interest in the franchise
i think he said he havent play the old spyro games yet
But he also said on Twitter that with the Reignited Trilogy coming out, that gives him an excuse to look at the franchise. twitter.com/Somecallmejon/status/981913022963830785
Compilations would be nice johnny. Also, that outro was on point, i almost teared up

So, can we consider this as a donation?
Compilation videos sound fine, Jon. Also that ending was great, it been sufficiently teased.
Always love me some Dark Souls!
*The broom closet ending is my favorite*
Stan Lee cameos in Johnny videos now? Excelsior...
“And so Johnny shortened the Donator’s Marathon, ending it sooner than expected. Little did he know, this was in the script the whole time.”
Reads title.
Oh this should be good.
Glad someone understands the magnum opus of metaphysical thinking resides in Big Rigs over the road racing
The "ensemble" video idea sounds great!
EDIT: That ending music sounds good.

Dapper Individual that GAME was great but I see got to play it from start once more I may do that today
Really? Looked more like a beat-em-up to me. Never tried it though.
review hyper light drifter
I would really dig the idea of a multi-game video of short games for the future donate marathon
BAYMBI!!!
Anyways honestly John, my 2 cents on the matter is do what you enjoy, and your work will prosper. a giant collage video sounds great to me!
I would like another console review like you did the PlayStation
maybe he could do the virtual boy and get angry if you know what I mean.
He'd probably go blind XD
What a psychic
The combining diffrent reveiws in one video is a great idea for the next Donators Marathon. Now I'm on edge about the next review, I'm not sure if the song at the end was a clue, but it sounds familiar and I can't quite put my finger on it.
The collective video sounds like a good idea. Keeps the videos long without overdoing it!
Also, you made me want to play this game, but I'll wait for a sale. Thanks!

I would enjoy either format for the vids as long as quality isn't sacrificed. 5 min or 15 I love either as long as it's you being honest and doing what you do best.

I think that putting multiple short reviews into one long video is a great idea
What's with that music at the end? John, what game are you talking about? Is it another childhood fear?

The compilation idea sounds great!
Hearing 'In The Groove' at the end there made me think:
'What happened to S0LV0?'
Yeah, she kind of disappeared after late 2015-early 2016, I think. I hope she's doing alright.
Last I heard she was taking herself off the grid to sort out some personal issues.
Oh, well I hope she at least is doing better, now.
I like the donator marathon idea
I'm down with that idea of putting several games in each video during a Donator's Marathon. I think that a lot of other fans would appreciate it too.
The Broom Closet ending was my favorite.
Review the megaman x series
hes doing that after this marathon is over, so after next video.

If Johnny decides to bring the tails doll I will say CALLED IT
Great idea for the next donators marathon
Mass effect? That's the vibe I got from the music.
Also I'd be down for a collective donations marathon!

I like the idea of a big compilation of little games
K so that tease at the end made me squeal with excitement.
You can do videos that lets you have fun. Always take your time. Love to see what you can do with short games in compilations
I think doing a collective video of donations would be a great idea
A Donator's Marathon set up like your Vs. PSX video? That would be awesome! They might take a while to make, but those kinds of videos are really satisfying to watch.
