Benita! How on earth, have you managed to turn a video essentially comprising of your cancer journey, into yet another amazing minimalist ideas video! You truly are so amazing, even when you go through something as intrusive as cancer treatment. Being a cancer nurse myself, I just know that this video is going to really be inspirational to many people fighting through this journey.
I really wish you all the very best for your recovery, and please continue to look after yourself!
I find it very brave of you to show what impact breast cancer has on your live. Wishing all the best with the therapy and hope you will recover soon.
Good health care, good quality medicine= "SOCIALISMUS". Very much hated in USA. Make the difference. Period.
You are truely a fighter Benita. I could not stop laughing when you showed that you organized your cancer medlclnes that you do not frequently use.Sending you all my love and regards.
The most brilliant advice given me was simply to "Remember, this is Temporary"
Yes, this too shall pass!
It’s crazy how much a stranger you’ve never met feels like a friend through social media. I’m so sorry you have to deal with this, but you have the best care...and the best attitude...so I’m sure you’ll be fine. Sending you lots of positive vibes!!
Dear Benita, I work as a cancer nurse in Switzerland. Your video is a encouragement for other women who go through this illness phase! Thank you for sharing!
I’m very sorry, but happy you are doing fine. All the best to you in your recovery. ❤️
Thank you so much!
Oh Ms.Benita, I am so sad this happened to you. The only consolation is you will be taken cared of where you are. With that in mind, we know you will be in good hands and you can still do what you love to do except in a much slower pace. Our prayers are with you through your ordeal. Eat well, sleep well. Btw, the new do suits you too. Take care, stay safe always.
G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S!!
BIG hugs🤗!!
Hello Benita!
I am so sorry to hear about your cancer, but at the same time am so inspired and impressed by how you are taking a charge of everything.
Sending you lots of love ❤️ and an optimistic future!
You can do it!
Greetings from Boston! Btw, originally I am from Mongolia 🇲🇳
Hi Benita,
I have been following your blog then UA-cam for the past 14 years.
I am diagnosed with breast cancer 3 weeks ago. I wish you speedy recovery and always praying for you.
I cried while watching this not because I am sad. But because you're the embodiment of strength and Courage. Thank you for this beautiful video Benita.
Aww, that’s so sweet, thank you!
Benita, you’ve got this! I was pregnant with my fifth child when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. (Surgery, chemo, radiation, surgery) On January 23rd this year it will be fifteen years! And my baby girl will be fifteen in March. You are inspiring. I discovered your channel about two months ago and enjoy it immensely. Stay strong and keep us updated. You will be in my prayers.
I never comment on UA-cam, but I love your channel and am a 22-year breast cancer survivor who wants to say you’ll get through this and be able to resume your life in a good way. I had a single mastectomy and two rounds of chemo and went on (with my wonderful, supportive husband) to raise our terrific daughter to adulthood and see her get married. I’m healthy and have traveled and completed a long career before retiring. You have great days ahead so keep up your positive attitude!
I’m a 20 year survivor of breast CA. Six months post kidney CA. But all is well. Cancer free
As a breast cancer survivor from Canada 🇨🇦...we are so lucky to live in countries that cover the costs of diseases. I can’t imagine having the added stress of money issues. You’ve got this 👍!!!
Me too❤🇨🇦
Money issues over healthcare! A very USA type problem. It is a relief to have 1 mammogram per year paid for because of semi recent changes in the laws. But surprise! Once you’ve had an issue on your mammogram the doctor can’t order a “routine” mammogram for some time. A “diagnostic” mammogram is, you guessed it, not paid for! But after my daughter, who is a nurse, came back from a trip to Haiti to volunteer and described what she saw there I felt grateful to have access to any healthcare!

I'm sorry you're going through this. I'm a 66 year old cancer survivor of almost 35 years! Your minimalist organization skills are really coming in handy now and are definitely aiding in maintaining necessary serenity. Glad you're taking the time off from work; enjoy your kitties, books and Netflix. You're in my thoughts and prayers.
I discovered your channel today.
9 years ago, in a trivial surgery, they discovered and removed a malignant tumor. Despite all the tests being negative, our National Health Service, as a precaution, confirmed by the director of the Oncology Institute, my friend, decided to bombard the entire pelvic area with 33 daily radiotherapy sessions. My radio doctor always told me that my uncomplicated brain was half the cure. I continue to be followed, because we also have a free and universal Health Service, and I enjoy life with the joy of the south.
All my love from Portugal. Be brave, Benita! ❤
My friend was diagnosed stage 4 breast cancer, she had two operations same as yourself and chemo. She is now cancer free in less than 2 years later, her hair has grown back and it actually really suits her short and she looks really well. I wish you all the best. 💖☘️
You’re rocking that haircut - it really makes your beautiful eyes stand out! Wishing you a speedy recovery!
I was so shocked seeing the title but how you manage all of this is so admirable. You even managed to create this amazing video so gracefully. Sending you lots of love 💕
Stay strong. Be a Warrior. Fighting cancer means fighting. When I was diagnosed 24 yrs ago with stage 3 BC , i fought like hell, and then I decided to radically change my life. You’re in my prayers.
My mother is a breast cancer survivor for nearly 15yrs. now then she is celebrating her 75th birthday this month with a healthy body . Keep it up , you can do it 🙏💜🎶
I’ve always admired your calm and graceful composure - and never more so than now. Sending you love xx
Thank you so much for the love!
The wig looks really good - it suits you.
Thank you so much, I like it too!

Yes, the wig looks great on you.
Hope you will get well soon, I advise to know about Ganoderma food supplement if you are interested Please reply me
I work in the oncology field, and I just want to say, thank you for speaking on this topic! My female patients often have a hard time and are concerned about their hair loss. We always tell them that we think bald women are beautiful! Love that you took control and shaved your own head! Here’s hoping you have a healthy recovery and a happy 2021!
When there are no words to say, we are all here for you. ~Many Blessings~
I'm so sorry to hear that. You are an example to follow. Pray for your healing. 🙏😘
Benita, I used to read your blog years ago, and just before Christmas I was thrilled to find you again! You taught me so many things all those years ago. And now you share your cancer journey with us. How generous and kind you are. Please know there is a middle-aged minimalist wannabe in Arizona, USA who is sending you love and strength and prayers for a speedy recovery. Thank you for sharing so many parts of your life with us. You inspire, help and teach thousands of us! :)
This was such an incredibly beautiful video for such a sad announcement. It has helped me view cancer in a different way. Wishing you sustained health this year and a speedy recovery.
Aww, thank you so much!😊
It's not the first time I notice affirmations like "the benefit of having been a tax payer for my entire life is that the treatment costs me nothing". We'd agree on many things.
Best!
You look beautiful in your wig. Not even remotely sick. I've been down the road you're on, and I am happy to hear that you've not let it consume you. You will, of course, get well, just as you said. Take care of yourself, be safe. Hugs and love to you Benita. Will be thinking good thoughts for you.
Sending love and positive energy on your way.
Thanks for the love!
And the positive energy!
My heart sank when I saw the title, but I was relieved to learn that you are finding a good way through recovery. You are very brave and strong ❤️
You are incredible. From one cancer survivor to another, you will get through this. You have a great outlook and prognosis, and it's so refreshing to be able to see you still living life in ways that give you life! :) All the very best to you, Benita!
You look beautiful. I would never have guessed that was a wig. You have such fine features that you can pull off no hair wonderfully! I like your positive attitude.
Your strength during this time is incredibly inspiring. I admire you greatly and wish you the best through this difficult time and a quick recovery.
Thank you! You’re so sweet!
You are such a positive lady.🙏🏼🙏🏼
No point in being the opposite 😊
I so admire your positive and collected approach to navigating your diagnosis and treatment. I went through breast cancer treatment in 2019 and it’s so refreshing and inspiring to see women like you sharing their stories and showing how you can keep moving forward even when things can feel uncertain. Your videos have been a helpful part of my own recovery, as I became fixated on rooting everything out of my life that was not serving me or contributing to my happiness. Best wishes for good health from Maine, USA!
I’m a 55 year old mother of two living in Portland, Oregon. I miss my Swedish grandmother dearly and started following UA-camrs that speak English with her accent, including you. Your videos bring me peace and calm; I can only hope that sharing this personal video with us and seeing the outpouring of care and love in the comments brings you some peace and calm. I wish you all the best. ❤️
To see how well you managed to keep your composure while trimming your hair and trying on various accessories is incredible. Your optimism and passion for what you do really shines through in each of your videos!
Also, I wanted to thank you for such a high level of introspection you bring to each video you make. Your strength comes through, and it is so inspiring to see you power through adversity! You got this!! 💪🏼
Wishing you all the best and a speedy recovery, Benita!
Thank you for the lovely comment!
Benita, keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. I was a nurse and you have the right approach to coping with the diagnosis and as you said you have some of the best healthcare. And judging from the comments on all your videos...a great support system!! And love the wig...very attractive style for you! Sending a big hug.
Sending a hug right back at you and all nurses!🙌🏻
Benita, I am so sorry that you have had this diagnosis, but am glad that you have a good health system and a supportive community. I was diagnosed in 2015. Sometimes, you may not even have the energy to bingewatch tv, or do anything other than lie in bed and look out the window, and that is ok. Stay safe and be well.
Benita, you are marching through this journey so bravely and gracefully! I never comment on youtube videos, but I wanted to let you know how much I value your youtube videos. They bring a sense of calm and sometimes give me the energy to continue with my work without the stress I usually have. Thank you for sharing your story and for all the amazing content you work so hard on. Be sure to take care of yourself and take the rest you need. Sending a big hug and thoughts of healing from NYC.
I was nervous and in shock when I saw the title, but I'm so glad to see you doing so well mentally. Sending you hugs!!😊
Yeah, sorry about that 😬 Was debating what to title the video but then I just thought, it is what it is. And thank you, I’m doing well!😊
You look beautiful ❤️ I had cancer, went through treatment and am cancer free....that was over 20 years ago 😊 I love your attitude and know you will be fine!!!
Benita, I was an avid reader of your blog and have also really enjoyed watching your you tube channel - cannot tell you how many times you inspired me to get up and go do/make something! Your grace and beauty just shines through in everything you do and especially now - wishing you the speediest of recoveries.
Dear Benita! I am very proud of You, that You found the strength to share Your situation. Working in onkology I know that You give with this example power to all the women, who think they are alone. I wish everything best for You, stay strong and try to smile with your beautiful smile no matter what at least three times a day!
I am so sorry you have to go thru this. I too had breast cancer. I had a lumpentectomy, 8 rounds of chemo, 33 rounds of radiation. I am now a 9 year cancer survivor. Will cover you with prayers daily. I was lucky enough that is was not in my lymph nodes. ❤️🙏🏻❤️
So happy to hear you’re well!❤️
So sorry to hear this but I can see you’re handling it with your usual style and grace. Good luck x
Te sigo desde un pequeño rincon del pais vasco ( spain) desde hace muchisimo y desde aqui te mando todos mis mejores deseos para que superes esta enfermedad. Detras de esta pantalla hay mucha gente que te valora. Mucha fuerza
I am also a cancer survivor who had cancer treatments in 2020. Congratulations and hopes for a bright and happy future for you!
Dear Benita,
I’m a bit in shock.
But it’s good to hear you’re doing fine!
Love Lusanne
Benita, I’m so sorry to hear the news. But, only you can make minimalism interesting and inspiring even if it’s organizing your meds. Keep creating as long as you are able. We are all here for you. Sending healing thoughts for you. Xxx Carmen
All I see is a smart, lovely and beautiful lady. I’m sending you lots of good vibes and I look forward to hanging out with you in 2021. Best wishes to you always. GOD bless you, sweet Benita.
Sending you love and support. You are so calm and brave. Thank you for being a role model and for sharing your journey. 💜
This a piece of realistic life and art of showing a theme very difficult with elegancy and direct content
I’m sorry you are going through this. I really do appreciate that you have shared this personal medical experience with us, it has opened my eyes to “never judge a book by its cover” because you never know what someone is going through. Oh, and I love the style of wig that you are wearing. It looks beautiful on you. The style and color is great against your skin tone and face shape. Thanks again for sharing.🥰🙏🏼❤️
Dear Benita, you look so cute with your new "hair style". We can really see how beautiful your eyes are and how amazing your smile is!....so please keep smiling , no matter what, we love you, you are our sunshine :-)
Aww, thank you, so sweet!
@@BenitaLarsson While staying active, please give your body plenty of rest :-) I also have a health issue and one thing i know in order to fight our body needs all available resources and energy. So eat plenty of vitamin reach foods (Vitamin C!) and lay often restfully with your eyes closed. Very important - keep yourself warm, it enables our immune system to function at its full potential... You are a strong person Benita, with a very strong body. Keeping that in mind just move ahead, don't worry about anything, do what you have to do and you will be fine in no time! :-D
I wouldn’t even know it was a wig. Benita you are beautiful! You got this! F*CK CANCER!!!!
The wig is very natural looking! I can empathize with your situation. I am 5 years breast cancer-free! Will keep you in my prayers for a speedy recovery.
Benita, I was sadden to hear of your cancer diagnosis. Yet, your strength, dignity and vulnerability shine through in a powerful way. I pray for continued strength and a full recovery.🙏🏻
Thank you for telling us about your breast cancer. WE ARE WITH YOU. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. 🙏
Thank you so much!
I feel so sad this morning, but in saying that I have two girlfriends that are breast cancer survivors and they both say it changes your life forever, and looking back on their lives they both say, they wouldn't change a thing, as there is so much more clarity in their lives now. I'm reading all your comments and there is so much love and strength being sent your way, so I want to add my love and strength as well. You look so cute with the short pixi hair cut look, you look younger and fresher. In my times of sadness I turn to Buddha quotes on UA-cam and they give me strength.
I seldom comment on UA-cam content but felt I really needed to do so in this instance. I applaud you, really. I know this can't be as easy as you make it seem but your pragmatism positive attitude is amazing! Thank you for sharing such a difficult story, in such a real and matter of fact manner 🙏🏾May you continue to stay strong.
Hi Benita, what a lovely calming video. I believe your positive upbeat, minimalist lifestyle will eradicate the cancer. Your honest depiction is appreciated. I have subscribed! Blessings and positive thoughts to you! 🙏
I’m so sorry to hear this and it sounds like you are getting the best care possible, you are in my thoughts🌸
I am! And thank you!
I second Kathryn P's comment! I've learned so much from your channel, Benita. I hope you have a quick and full recovery.
Thank you for your honesty and gentle humour, best wishes from the UK for your recovery. The wig looks great and I also like the grey hats!
The grey hats are my favorites too! Thank you!
@@BenitaLarsson yes, the grey & silver-grey really suit you and the lovely wig.
Your wig was absolutely adorable, as was the assortment of hats. So glad Sweden has a fabulous healthcare system that takes care of its citizens, and that you did well with the surgery and chemo.
Benita, I wish you a speedy recovery. Everyone is different in the way they cope with a Cancer diagnosis and it’s okay to have “down days”. I’m sure you are delighted to see the back of 2020...Thank you for being so upbeat and positive you are an inspiration to all of us.
Oh, Benita, you are as beautiful as ever. I will be praying for you and hope you will keep us updated on this journey. You are much loved❣️
Sending positive energy and good thoughts your way.
at first i was scared for you financially, here in the states my moms breast cancer ruined my parents' credit scores. but im honestly so relieved you have fantastic healthcare in sweden, this video is incredible and powerful, sending you much love on your recovery!
Sending strength - Focus and take time on yourself - we all will be here even after many months ❤️.
Benita, you are a champion!!! Praying for your health during this time
Aww, thanks so much!
Dear Benita, I have been watching for a while and feel that I know you. I am so sorry to hear this news but also glad to see you are taking good care of yourself. ❤️
It’s a fear I have since a long time. I have had a thyroid cancer but the surgery to remove it was efficient and OK. No chemo. So your video is very inspiring, it shows the things as they are, the medication, the hair fall etc...and in a certain way, it’s calming, soothing. The way you show your reality will help a lot of people I’m sure, because it’s not happy, it’s not sad, it’s just what it is and your life goes on, along with the treatment. In addition, you say it, you’re fine. Thanks for sharing. And my best wishes for a quick and full recovery.
oh I'm so sorry to hear that my lovely! I'm glad you're in the best hands possible though ❤️ and honestly, you look badass with that buzz cut 😊💪🤘
Thank you! I liked it while it lasted 😅
Wishing you the very best, speedy recovery! Was going to say hope you find strength and peace, but wait, you're the inspiration of strength and peace to all of us! 💗
I never told you how happy I am that you made it through your breast cancer. I am so happy for you though I’m not much of a commentor, but I watch you and enjoy you very much. I’m older and retired and live alone as well. Loving that. My best to you always.
Best of luck. You are so sweet.
I, too, have had lumps - for more than half of my life. One went wrong, too, for me. I changed to a raw and living foods lifestyle, took IV vitamin C and more cleansing...15 years later I am well without having had surgery, radiation or chemo. Follow your inner guidance, honor your process and keep your team of furry caregivers on alert! You are an inspiration! All the best to you!
Those eyes!!💗
Aww, you’re so sweet!
Dear Benita, I‘m in Shock! Wish you all the best & That you will recover soon!
Love from Germany 🍀🧡
Thank you so much!
Benita, sending you all the love and well wishes!!!🌸💐
Get well soon. I admire your spirit during this hard moment.
Fight like a girl, you will do just fine, I made it.
Love taking back that expression to mean fighting with strength
Thank you, I will!👊🏻
My mother made it, too! Keep the good mood, Benita!
You're very brave and have such a great attitude, despite the diagnosis. Wishing you a speedy recovery and better health in 2021 and beyond x
I like the fourth, knitted, grey beany/hat and the darkblue bandana.
It suits you/your eyes perfectly!
Cancer really sucks but it is nice to see how well you are doing! I hope your recovery goes smoothly
Hey Benita! Me and my daughter love watching your content. We wish you a speedy recovery and to always stay positive as everyone knows you. Love and prayers, Talal and Nour from Kuwait.
I admire your strength! You are my favorite youtuber and I am so relieved to hear you are ok now! Sending you much love ❤️
You’re so sweet, thank you!
Thank you for sharing this! It was an important reminder that even though we can't choose our diagnosis, we can choose how we react and there's a lot of strength in that.
You look bright and strong! And you rock the grey slouch beanies!
Rock that "Twiggy" vibe wig gurl! Much positive prayer heading your way. Make sure you laugh daily by watching something that you find funny on UA-cam. It speeds up healing....plus your two therapy animals you already live with🙂
I didn’t even think of Twiggy until someone else said it too. Love the comparison! Thank you!
Giving my first thumbs up on UA-cam ever. And I'm a frequent visitor.
Btw. My first comment too.
Hello Benita, du bist die schönste Frau der Welt. Deine Kopfbedeckung gen stehen dir super gut.Ich wünsche dir gute Besserung.Denk daran.... ALLES WIRD GUT🤗Liebe Grüße Susan
I finished my own surgery, chemo & radiation treatments for triple negative breast cancer in February, 2022. I have enjoyed your channel for a few years. Wishing you well and thanks for your channel.
To quote Glennon Doyle in Untamed, “we can do hard things.” Blessings and prayers to you and your family. 🙏🏻
I’m sending you love & light thru this new chapter in your life. You look beautiful with or without your hair. Your positivity is all inspiring. I love your videos. Please keep us updated and continue with your amazing content.
Dear Benita, you probably close to my daughter age. I love all your videos but watching this particular one I was sobbing throughout.
Just wanted to hug you from my heart. May you get well very soon . Alice from Maryland , US
Hi Benita, I’ve been watching your videos for a while now, but I’ve never commented. Today I need to tell you you’re the bravest person I have ever seen. Nothing to add, take care. A hug from Italy!
Sending you love, strength, health, and good energy from Brazil 🇧🇷. You’re always an inspiration to so many, even during your toughest times!
there will be a time when you get that bag back out of storage because you need your hair supplies again and it will feel amazing! all the best Benita. i do wish you a speedy recovery :)
Hello, I went through it two years ago, it is very impirtant to take care of yourself, be kind with yourself, do what you enjoy, and see people who help you. I wish you the best.
Blessings to you! You're such a positive and brave woman! Thank you for sharing ❤
Sending high vibrations for you on your healing path.
What a wonderful video this is. You’re a great example to others. I wish you strength, good health and a happy future. X
I’ve been binge watching your UA-cam programmes and came across this one and it made me so sad. You have given me such inspiration. Please keep well and give us the occasional update. Reading the comments you have very many people who care a lot about you and now you have another one. Take good care of yourself. X
Awesome video! Thank you for sharing. That does NOT look like a wig at all! To be honest, I really like the shorter hair on you. You are a VERY beautiful woman!💕🙏🏻
