If you install a Blow Off Valve in an Automatic VW stock turbo, you will need a tune up since the diverter valve recirculate the turbo air instead of blowing it off, if this a BOV gets installed without a tune it will cause engine to stall!
Why would you need a tune, it’s just a piece of metal that lets air out. I had one on my Mk5 for 2 years before I traded it and it’s just plug and play. If your engine is stalling you have other issues like a manifold breakdown which is common on these since it house three different breather parts.
I had one from ecs. My mk5 had a DV+ spacer. Swapped out for this blow off adapter. Took it off immediately. The DV+ is far superior in my opinion. Also, look up the Klein 65200. It will be your best tool friend in tight spaces
Hey man, real nice video, but I’d like to ask if you have had any problems ever since posting this video? I got the same brand for my mk6 gli, and I just installed it, and now I’m hearing ppl having issues and I’ll like to know if it has something to do with the brand or something
Does yours sound like it’s sucking in a lot of air during full throttle? I just did mine and it sounds great but I’ve never heard it from anyones video
Yep mine does that too, it makes a SSSSS noise, then the blowoff when I let off. Seems to not be very noticeable on camera. I have heard that if the spacer isn't fully tightened you could be losing pressure but im not sure what sound that would make. I'm sure the main thing you would notice is power decrease.

Could be a bit off, however the MAF already regulates how much air is going into the endings so I’m sure it dosnt effect it that much
@@bensonallsop5653 it does affect
The MAF works at the reading of the ECU, you should see how the Turbo works with a Diverter Valve and how it works with a Blow Off Valve….
This is a diverter valve spacer, so works a bit different than a BOV. My car runs great, and I haven't noticed any power loss without a tune.

Hey man, sorry for the late reply. I still have not had any issues with it and have had it on my car for probably around 10k miles
question for all, I have diverter valve revision D - is the spacer compatible with it? thanks
seat fr 2.0T DSG
How did you install if you didnt take off the wheel? Trying to get mine on and i dont have the proper lug wrench lol
Sorry for the late reply, hopefully you got it together lol. It was really tight but just put my hand up in there lol
I got the same year, is it still holding up. Just curious on how reliable this is
It is still holding up after around 2 years and I would say 20k miles or more. So for me really reliable so far

@@noahjaeger3423 just had this happen to me i put loctite tape on my bolts and screwed them back in as tight as i could, we’ll see how it is
@@michaelazure6457 hey any updates
bro, a question I have a forge relief valve on my mk6 I would like to know if I can add a spacer to the same valve
Holy fuck I just listened to it, is there any exhaust mods you have done. That sounds so sick
No exhaust on it in this video, just the spacer. Thank you!
You have Golf 6 gti engine ?
Yeah kinda. I have a 2009 mk5 which was the first year they implemented a tsi engine in the mk5s
Did you get a check engine light from this
I personally did not, I have read on Reddit that some people have before though
Wait your mk5 doesn’t have a check engine on? Crazy😂
