Stock diverter valves just can't handle performance upgrades. Add a little boost and they get all weak in the knees and go to pieces.
Forge knows this. That's why they've engineered boost-hardy blow off and diverter valves tough enough to take the pressure, without blowing their lids.

What intake is on this GTI? Tons of induction noise.
@ECS Tuning when putting the adapter blow off valve on the piston diverter valve adapter give a check engine light? Or only having the piston diverter valve adapter alone won’t give check engine light?
ECS Tuning would the piston diverter valve and blow off valve adapter fit on an Audi s3 2016? There doesn’t look like there’s much room between the inlet pipe and the diverter valve already and for the piston diverter valve and the blow off valve adapter on together it looks like it’ll be a tight fit or won’t fit from lack of space from the inlet pipe
ECS Tuning btw just having the upgraded piston diverter valve it’ll make those flutter noises without any upgraded air intakes?
Everyone Please note that he said the car already has the diverter relocation kit installed, that's why the diverted valve is under the hood if it didn't have a kit you'd be underneath the engine doing all of this. That's a big difference.

I highly recommend the Hybrid DV/BOV by Forge. Its fully adjustable for both sounds. I have it on my 1.8t Audi TT and its very loud when its in full BOV mode and more quiet as the DV...or choose bit of both, whichever you want. I think there is one for the 2.0t engine.

Ecs tunning I just insatalled bov today and the results are excellent but I have a GTI mk5 with TSI engine and installation is kind of hard for the space I will really appreciate a DIY for this car overall great product thank you

My mkv gti edition 30, has an upgraded intake, like yours. The oem S3 Valve is also installed.
But why doesn't it produce this fluttering noise ?

A bit late response but if u or someone else still looking for info the answer is no none of this decrease or increase (relative) boost pressure only difference is that diverter recirculate the air for best response on the other hand blow off valve release air in atmosphere soo after u press gas turbo must build up pressure in that time u will notice turbo lag which is not horrible it's just a small difference in response
Are there any issues such as fuel cut caused by venting to atmosphere with the DV adapter? Ran into issues a long time ago on my 2g eclipse using a HKS SSQV venting to atmosphere.

Hello I'm sorry to bother you guys I have the forge adapter and working great, but I am now wanting the flutter sound from the dv I hear in the video, is the car stock? The main question is will the upgraded piston dv give my car that light flutter sound?
i have the blow off kit on my 2010mk6 2.0tsi and the springs that i got one was stainless and the other is blue but i installed the stainless one ane its not vent sometimes but with the Ac on it vents no problem should i try the blue spring ? the papers it came with didnt say witch was for stock boost like i am running pls help thank you your video help my install alot ☺
I thought blow off valves were not recommended for vw’s with stock turbo systems? When I had my mk4 1.8t I went with a forge 007 divergent valve that you could adjust to let out some atmospherically for that nice whoosh sound. With that being said, wouldn’t choosing a bov be harmful for the car?

I'm just looking for that hissing sound from the blow off valve but this one seems to have a high pitch in it? Could it be just the installation or is it the the structure of the valve that makes it almost whistle?

I have a Mk5 gti. Now with the hose running to the manifold block. Is that nessesary for the kit. I know it might be a stupid question but I have a block from my pcv delete kit. Didn’t know if it would affect anything
wont the blow off valve mess with the map sensor and make engine run rich ?

Can the Forge BOV adapter plate be installed with the Forge BOV for a combined badass sound?? Could the adapter plate also be installed in combination with the DV+ Diverter valve? I'd like the performance of that but with a more obnoxious sound if that is possible lol

I have an '08 audi a4 2.0t automatic with multitronics. Will the Spacer still give me that sound? And to my knowledge, doesn't the turbo need the air recirculated so it doesn't run rich?
The piston type D revision diverter valve has been known to leak boost, best revision OEM is the one ending in G. That’s the only one that seals perfectly unless torn
I bought the one ending in J last week for my 2009 EOS. It seems there are different versions depending on the year of the TSI

i have a 2013 gti dsg and i just purchased this adaptor and blowoff valve. it looks easy to install after the video but when i looked at my car i cannot find where the original bov is i also have an apr cold air intake.
Do I have to leave the factory vaccum solenoid or replaced it with the one that comes with box? Never explained that
I have a question... My intake manifold hose (GOLF R) disconnected from the vacuum block the other night BY ITSELF while i was driving(I have the Forge BOV)... No idea as to how it happened i am more than positive i installed it properly and the hose was on the vacuum block properly. Didn't know exactly what was wrong till i made it home and popped the hood and took the engine cover off and saw the hose just hanging out in the open(car was idling horribly jumping from 0 to 2 rpm or even just shut itself off when at stand still and drove like crap). Clipped it back on all OK. But then again tonight it did the same thing while i was driving on the highway. Had to pull over and put the hose back onto the vacuum block. My question is why is this happening and how can i stop this from happening a THIRD time ??? It is very STRANGE. No CEL. No noticeable changes in the performance of the car at all, when its connected that is *****

is it true that you will lose mpgs due to the tune of the 2.0 putting fuel in after the throttle is cut? if the air doesnt rush in like is should when recirc then you have a rich condition.
