    This is adorable! I love the sporty look (even the black door. It matches the fenders and awning frame), I love almost everything about this little trailer, but I would take out the dinette, expand the bathroom all the way across and put in a little breakfast bar with two chairs facing the window. It’s too small for more than two people anyway, I wouldn’t need the extra sleeping space. Cute!! I wish they had these “back in the day”, I would have loved to have one of these.

    I wish someone would make a super small camper like this but with a big bath / shower and a king bed but top of the line.
    As I get older I want to sleep and shower in comfort but the rest of the day I'm outside. I don't need anything more. 👍

    #3 Composite flooring. No wood to rot!

    Thank you for the review! This might be the exact travel trailer I want for my Tesla model Y. With my model Y only having 3500 pounds tow capacity, I can see myself having a good time with this trailer, especially since it has its own bathroom.

    Super cute. Would probably have to leave the bed as a bed because it looks like a pain in the ass to make into a couch. I love the graphics outside. I think the table for the dinette is kind of ridiculous I would rather just leave that out and use a TV tray.
    I think whoever came up with the MSRP is smoking something that starts with a C and ends with a K. There is zero excuse for something that light and that cheap to be that expensive. That is one thing I hate about teardrops there’s no excuse for it at all. You can get a wolf pup for 16K and have a lot more room …that being said I understand the wolf pup is usually around 3500 pounds but I think that it’s horrible for the RV manufacturers to take advantage of people that have a vehicle that cannot tow much because that’s what they’re doing. They are taking advantage of the regular person on a regular budget that cannot afford to trade in their vehicle for a bigger tow vehicle. They call it “niche” I call it greedy.

    I wish that bigger RV makers would use these design elements in their rigs because I am just flat out in love with the wood-look walls in this trailer. The valances, too. This is a nice looking, cozy little unit. You didn't show me if there was at least a fan in the bathroom but, oh well. This unit is the perfect she-shed for the backyard. I could fit this into my garage and be able to stay away from the crappy room mates I have if nothing else! I really love this one. Especially those walls and valances. Now if only bigger RVs would catch a clue.

I about froze last night because I can’t figure out how to turn on the heat. I read the owner’s manual but it was not very helpful. You need to rename your reviews "Matt the happy ham fisted mangler's RV reviews." You definitely have an, er...unique style of presentation. I like this model a lot. The roof jacks (vents and what nots) are sealed with indifferently applied wavy gravy. I imagine that tells me about the fit and finish in all the normally hidden spots.

    Travel Lite is to RVs what paper plates are to fine china. If someone bought that on payments I doubt it would last the term of the loan. Yikes. A $40k T@B is still a better buy.

    I am on my 3rd RV, now a travel trailer but I have also had a Super C and a diesel pusher. The solution to the dinette is to take it out and make that storage, and add a microwave and TV. The table can go in front of the bed/sofa when it is folded up and a folding chair or two could be used on the side across from the sofa. Most couples would rather have more cabinetry/storage and a microwave than a dedicated dinette in something that small. Even coming from a huge bus, I could see us camping in that if it just had a few changes as I suggested. Maybe even put the sink back where that dinette seating is at the back that’s hard to get to?

    Great review and lots of good comments from everyone. Only one concern/dislike - the plumbing at the rear of the trailer is so close to the ground that the manufacturer had to build a small cage around it. It won’t be long until everything is ripped from underneath and your driveway has some new decorative etching. Thanks again for the review!

  • @judeen5174
    @judeen5174 3 роки тому +12

    Why do you always use the EMPTY weight to figure out the hitch weight? When people go camping they take their stuff with them. It would be useless to take an EMPTY trailer. You should always be using the GROSS weight when figuring the hitch weight. This way everyone will know the maximum amount that will be added to their tow vehicle. That is, of course, as long as they do not overload their trailer. In my opinion, people tend to be more closer to gross weight than empty weight when they camp.

    On paper this looks like a great fully equipped camper that my Volvo XC70 can actually tow (towball rating 165lbs,). I'd be concerned about build quality, depreciation, and the really small freshwater and black water tanks. I might have to buy a Subaru Outback so I can tow the Happier Camper Traveler which is a quality trailer.

    I like this as a longer stay little trailer. A dedicated sleeping space PLUS a dedicated space to sit and eat or use a laptop or anything else you want the table for, without having to tear down the bed for it. Also enough space for simple meals, and a good enough bathroom to use it for several days as needed.

    • @SweetBearCub
      @SweetBearCub 2 роки тому

      It's quite obvious that his comment of “Wow…it really isn’t that bad!” was in the specific context of the weight class that this trailer is targeting. Normally, trailers towable by vehicles with a 2,000 pound tow rating have no bathrooms at all, or they're popups or A-frames, which have other trade-offs. I don't expect honest salespeople to be 100% wowed by every design decision, but he was honest here that it sucks as a bathroom, but that it is excellent that a trailer of that weight class has a full bathroom.

  • @CaddyOnRoute

    I liked your three 👍 and agree with your 3 👎.
    1. I am adding a microwave or convection oven. 2. Since there is an awning I would want an outdoor kitchen and 3. A TV 📺 bracket for indoor or outdoor viewing.
    The dinette can go if they put in a “sleeping” recliner and free standing table that I can bring outside.
    Overall I like this one ☝️
    Bring on the sun and sand 😎

  • @angiehowie9149
    @angiehowie9149 2 роки тому

    Solution for the dinette!! Lagun table. If it can swivel from the more open chair, it would be amazing. That and the missing step are the two things that I don't like about this trailer. But this is one of my favorites. I LOVE how much space you get for prep in the kitchen. I do like the AC for this amount of space. If it does break, it's an easy and affordable replacement. The bed doesn't look the easiest when putting it back up but isn't a deal breaker. I am 5'8" and would worry about hitting my head on the door frame so I DO wish that had a little more height to it.

    !They need to get rid of the cheap couch bed in the front and put in the round leather one where the couch folds out real simple and easy round leather cushions it's classy
    2. Jenn-Air double burner with grill beside it 😋 suction vent it's all one unit it's as big as that double burner you have there I can't believe they just put that double burner in there like that with the grill you can cook salmon and steaks inside no flies or mosquitoes
    3. 2 double 30 gallon tanks
    4. Solar system with cell phone box that enhances the cell phone signal inside the camper and inside the cell phone
    5 may take the dinette out put in the bigger refrigerator from the floor to the ceiling next to the bathroom and put a smaller fold-out couch round leather and put the table in in front of the couch

  • @rayramsey6711

    Since you have a sofa/bed area you don't need a dinette. Add a small to medium folding table. Then either extend the bathroom or make a storage area in the back. It needs a convection microwave. It's not a bad little unit but it's for a single person or a very friendy group of two.

      "It needs to be a lil longer so 2 people can sit at the dinette and maybe a foot taller." Bigger trailers do of course exist, but they can't be towed by vehicles this trailer is targeting.

Put in more storage and the cooktop where the dinette is. Gotta be a better way to do that sofa/bed combo!! Is there any storage underneath?? The good
    I absolutely love the fact it has a shower/toilet. IF my RV doesn't have a toilet, its immediately off the table.
    The size and pricepoint are fantastic. Its now on my short list of lightweight trailers to buy.
    The bad
    The sink positioning is oddly sideways....like why?
    I dont like how vulnerable your batteries and propane tank are to road debris. Just seems dangerous.

I did check since I watch your reviews but you didn't have RoveLite at the time. Appreciate your reviews but this time was a bit disappointed you didn't do a little homework before you went in the unit. LOL such is life Roll ON! The tiny bathroom /wetbath is truly the tiniest ever. and the super tiny black tank to match . On the 14fd I also have the dometic fridge but would like the everchill better. The window ac is a yes for me no thermostat was a no and in my opinion they should have gone with the 8000 btu with a thermostat GE makes . @@site_pro I have the 2005 Baja Turbo. There is a FB page of people towing with Subaru that may have more info. I hunted to find my Baja and plan to keep it. It tows the RoveLite easily is rated to tow 2500 so sound like you are in good shape.

    I thought Travel Lite went bankrupt? I had a 2018 Travel Lite Express 14 that was very similar. It was a bit heavy for my 2 door Jeep Wrangler to tow comfortably. I see a lot of the same trim and accessories on this trailer.
    One thing l hated about my Travel Lite was that you had to literally tear apart the bed to fill the water tank! I never used it because of that. I hope they fixed this on this model.
    You really needed to review the fridge, microwave and heat. BTW, both the heater and microwave died within the first year l owned it.
    Glad l sold this and got a high quality off road teardrop for less.

    All they needed to do is flip the kitchen to the other side. Then the dinette would fit better. And a possible bigger fridge could go in that awkward corner

  • @InfernosReaper

    Yeah, no clue how someone's supposed to actually use the dinette in that cramped corner like that. You couldn't even have the table base offset so the table could be used at a different angle for how it sits when it's the base for the bed.
    If the tabletop could slide back and forth on the base with a latch to hold it in place or there was a second board that was actually meant to be the table, it would actually be usable. As it stands now, that dinette can service one adult plus maybe a child at most, assuming the child can slip under the table easily enough.

      I can see how the dinette area could work just fine. Delete the table, keep the booths, and use folding TV trays as a table. Slide them out of the way to get in and out.

    I like how light it is. I like their use of space but the caulking around the roof vents looks like a three year old did it.

    Wish you’d give dimensions of the bed & dinette ….
    It may be ok for you
    But if you’re like me 6’2” the bed might not work
    Will should try the bed not Matt

    Like the size, the bed/sofa, the storage. Dislike lack of microwave. Table should swivel on and out or be free standing. Is dinette necessary? Take that out and add storage or a microwave and have a free standing table for in front of the sofa.

    • @kelbybmartin
      @kelbybmartin 3 роки тому +1

      3 things I like,
      The big wet bath.
      I agree with you on the graphics are awesome!
      I also like the location of the AC. with it on the side you save on over head clearance on the roof of the trailer.
      4 things I dont like,
      You said it was fiberglass. I would prefer it to be Azdel composite.
      If its not 4 season I would like to to be a 4 season camper.
      convert the black water tank to an cassette toilet to make things easier for a 4 season application.
      make the bed a queen and not folding coach full bed.

    I would like a 12v fridge, they are more reliable. And solar on the roof. And a better table for the dinette. Yeah, the sofa thing doesn't make it, but keep it a bed with a better mattress. That would be nice. Storage is very tight. But that is sadly expected.
    But the small size is nice for weekend travel. And I love an inside toilet. And inside cooking space. There is enough space to do micro convection oven someplace. And the price is ok.
