5 gallon black tank? That's Absurd. So instead of a relatively easy 5 gallon cassette...you're going to make people find a dump station every 2 days)maybe less with family???!!
Either do the casette or install a worthwhile black tank of 10-20 gallons.
Foolish designers never are campers themselves 😂.
Does that drain fold up? It looks so close to the ground you would probably scrape it off on driveways or bumps!
PLEASE! PLEASE!! PLEASE!!! ... Do the interior first ... as that is what really matters!! I'm tired of having to scroll through the exterior walk-around to get to the meat of the matter.
He just zoomed right through the interior.
@@clbudd That's because the interior is really really cheap and poorly designed.
Jissus
The exterior is very important considering the weight of the camper.
You are so correct who gives a crap about the outside first!!
Looks and sounds to be very well designed and equipped too me. Be nice if you gave a retail price range estimate also at the end of the video for interested viewers.
Terrible design for the waste water drains! That protective frame around the drains is only about 6" off the ground. Being that is as far back as it could be, it will scrape on even the smallest of driveways. Every gas station, every parking lot. This will be a major issue.
I sent the factory an email to ask if the trailer has sufficient fender clearance to swap the stock 13" wheels for 14. That might give another 1/2" clearance. Not much, I know. Never got a response which makes me hope I don't have any warrant claims. Not likely to get a response.
This should include solar power as an option. Love the small footprint.
You can have solar installed, I did on mine 👍
May I ask how your panel(s) are mounted, and to what?
@@nunyabiznaz833 the trailer dealership mounted it on the front roof of the rove and how/what they used I'm not sure, will need to get a ladder and get up there to look..
Question about the electrical system. I'd like to buy this and take it boondocking, how many amp hours do you recommend and how many panel watts? Does this come stock with any batteries? Thanks!
That's impressive to get all that under 2000 lbs.
The gray water drain looks like it is positioned too close to the ground.
Yeah, really bad design that will be evident as soon as you pull it out of the lot...
I've been looking for this kind of video for about a month. It's not the floor plan I want, but this video gives the details I was looking for. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
That's incredible, 1,600 lbs for a unit that size. Well done!
This video is outdated. They actual production models have a dry weight of around 1800 lbs. I wish they would update their advertising to reflect the actual weight instead of giving a misleading sense that it is lighter than it actually is. Other than that issue, which is a big issue for me, I think this camper is ridiculously cool!
@@cocoosborne1805 weight is a big factor for me too! Thank you for the information!
I don't understand why an outdoor shower needs a larger grey water tank. Did you really mean to say that? That water goes on the ground. Also I need a spare tire. Its okay if it's an option but I need a place to mount it..
I think he got the Grey and Fresh capacities mixed up. @Dukes Outdoor
This is awesome. I have a 98 dodge Durango I can tow this with ease it's the perfect weekend camper trailer for me and my honey. What's the MSRP on this?
Nice, but it does look kindda made on the cheap side. Who will want to sit in front of a sink? Don't know maybe it's me, but I didn't like the inside set up at all.
Add a window in the front and it would be perfect.
Better without it in my opinion. No leaks or seal failure and rocks bouncing off the road wont crack it.
I agree. That would be awesome!
My jeep renegade with a 2k tow capacity could take tow this correct?
yes
I bought a Mazda CX 50 nonturbo model back in December and it has a 2000 pound towing capacity? Hard to believe I could actually tow this trailer!
This is perfect trailer EXCEPT with only a 5 gallon black water tank, and 10 gallon fresh water…. You can only really use it at campgrounds with hookups. Boondocking is out of the question, because two people will fill that 5 gal black tank too fast, and run out of water in a couple days. Please make upgraded black and fresh water tanks an option.
I would buy this but the gray and black water flush are too close to the ground and separate? The tank sizes silly. 10 for fresh and 30 for grey 5 for black?? 🤦 You could never boondock with this. Torsion axel would be better too.
they do come with an offroad package now that makes the ground clearance better
The light weight is commendable, but the layout doesn't work for my needs. The gross vehicle weight is a problem for a boondocker. as we need solar and batteries, and a lot of additional stored good, plus the weight of bikes and kayaks. So this is nice weekender with limited loading. And when are RV mfg's going to quit putting reefers on the floor. I'm not to good at standing on my head to see what is in the fridge.
Thanks for sharing
système égout trop bas arrière gauche pour le reste super
That's great. I'm planning on buying a truck coming out in the fall that can tow 2000lbs.
Ditto :)
Same. 2022 Ford Maverick with 4k tow package.
Get a Tacoma!
I think I am going to buy an FL model!
I think it's fantastic.
they really are
Love this RV
Fantastic. 👍
One question: how tall are you?
I’m 6’2” and hate the idea of having to hunch all day...
Head clearance of 6’3”+ is a must
Get a KZ 130SE. I'm also 6' 2" and I can stand up in the shower. Plenty of headroom in the main area too.
We owned a Forest River Wolf pup 16fq that was 3200 lbs. Was told I wouldn't even feel it behind my Nissan Frontier pickup truck but not true. I would have wanted this at 1600 lbs and exactly half the weight. Gas mileage and performance was terrible pulling the wolf pup.
Put a Murphy bed in it. Then you will have something.
yes that might be a good option
Very nice.
For our needs I wish you made a 16-18BH at maybe 2500 lbs. 6-7 cu ft refrigerator. Toilet separate from shower. Proper queen bed and pair of bunks.
There are a lot of options in that space and I believe TLRV is catering to truck camper tops and those of us with less towing capacity than that would demand.
Aight. 😅.. Roof. .
I would order one Without the awning. Instead, I would set up a Portable Gazebo with screen walls, right up against the side and over the door. That way we're Sheltered from the Sun, with Screens to keep the bugs out, and there's no metal bars sticking out that we have to try not to bump into.
Hey Keith, how tall are you? Your head is very close to the inside roof. Would a 6'4" person fit? Thanks!
Very thorough and well described. Great video!
is this how they come from the factory? Could I order one but only with what I consider necessary for me? ??
Can a 22 Subaru Forester Wildernesses pull this?
it should this unit only weights 1775 with awning and ac. i believe your tow capacity is around 2500
@@dukesoutdoor2707 thanks! actually it's 3000lbs so even better
would a 2016 honda crv tow this?
I love it, perfect to be towed with my Jeep! The construction looks great!
Where’s the microwave?
Need a microwave when camping.
How much do these sell for?
A microwave for camping? 😱
@@Stevenowski definitely! I prepare all my meals in advance....heat and eat! How do you heat your leftovers?
Get a KZ 130RB. Similar layout, 20 gallon fresh water tank, 15 for gray and black. And it has a microwave. And lots of storage.
@@cindyrose4155
Cast iron Dutch oven, from Lodge. 🤗
There is a space under the sink at least in the 14BH model that fits a microwave
How much? And no micro? What's up with that?
I think he means 30 gallon fresh not grey
Thank you for side function most don't do that
What are the dimensions of the dinette for sleeping?
Can entrance cabinet be removed for dog crates?
Dude looks like a white James Harden.
How tall is it at it's highest point?
I’m assuming I need a bigger vehicle for a stabile thing? I have a Ford Edge rated to a max of 3,000 lbs tow.
We towed a Jayco 145rb with our 2014 Edge which max's the tow rating. It towed it around the mid Atlantic fine. This might go up hills easier with the Edge. We traded our Edge last year for a 2019 Ranger. If you are looking for small try the Aliner Ascape. This looks like a nice camper
Finally something my truck can tow
I don't care for this one. But if I could haul it with my mustang convertible , under 2500 lbs, I might buy it
it only weights 1600 pounds so yes you could
Impossible to get
Very coool. 😊❤️
How much?
I'm picking mine up in three days! 🤘
how do you like it so far?
@@driftx2 still liking it. A few bugs still gotta be worked out. Seems that travel light may have been in a hurry to pump some units out. And in doing so the quality went down a little. With the warranties of the manufacturer and the dealership, it'll all get fixed. Just the hassle of taking to the dealership,,,, again. $31k was a little high, but then again the market for everything was/is ridiculous. I do love how big it is in comparison to how much it weighs. Major point is my Jeep Wrangler can pull it.
@@driftx2 Also, at the last minute, the manufacturer pulled the three-way refrigerator out and put in a high efficient 110v with inverter. Definitely can't do more than two and a half three days without power/generator. The solar panel can't even keep up with the fridge running.
Would love to hear an update...how is it holding up?
I love it
Didn’t he say at the beginning that this trailer is 2800 lbs?
no these trailers range from 1600 to 1800 depending on the floorplan and options
Add microwave n spare tire please.
they dont do that to keep the weight low. there is room you can install a microwave and could put a spare in the storage compartment.
Need a rear Bumper..Why Not ?
Owners manual says not to use anti sway hitch or weight distribution hitch, what is recommended for towing to reduce sway with the rove lite?
we have sold 23 of these and no customers have said they had sway its only 1675 pounds. but yes frame is alluminum so sway control would void warranty
@@dukesoutdoor2707 Do you know if a Subaru Forester Wilderness can pull this?
Nice!
This is exactly what I need
What is the hitch weight on the FD model fully loaded? I am unable to find any info for the hitch weights on your website or on dealerships listings.
with awning and ac unit its about 1660
@@dukesoutdoor2707 Thanks. I understand the Trailer Weight since that is well published, but what is the hitch weight? 160lbs? 200lbs?
Travel lite website says 160lbs hitch weight. GVWR is 2,500lbs.
@@colleeneaton7807 Thanks! When I originally posted they didn't have that listed but have since updated to include it
Not sure sure in this exact model but the 14FL which is just a different layout is only 200 pounds!
Is there fiberglass insulation in the roof?
yes
Is a microwave an option? Surprisingly, I do not seem to find one in any of the various floor plans.
In their pre-production literature a microwave was included as an option. That got me excited about this camper. It looks none of their production models include a microwave option, which is unfortunate.
Is solar an option?
they do come prepped to add a portable solar unit it has the plug already
I had a solar panel installed from the dealer I bought mine from
Did you say 10 gallons fresh!? Are you kidding? Who would buy a camper with only 10 gallons fresh tank?
How much???
Yeah really. I need to know.
Wow,1600 pounds! My EcoSport could do it!
Don't make me go to a dump station. Give me a cassette toilet or composting toilet and get rid of that shower - not needed at all.
It is a bit funny how individual preference works out. In my case, I will not consider anything without a toilet and shower.
@@robertcrawford718 same here. A wetbath is a must. Would like a cassette toilet though not a deal breaker.
I have the 14FD for a.month now. The only complaint is that the rear window leaks badly. I belive it's a bad install at the factory. Unfortunately all of the electronics and electrical are underneath the cabinet where it's leaking.
@@billloomis7611
How is the dealer/Travel Lite handling the solution? No doubt the trailer is under warranty and will be fixed to your satisfaction... I hope! Consider posting some videos of your trailer. Thanks!
Dude. Tell me again how the outside shower requires you to install a 10 gallon gray water tank.
I’m beginning to do research and learn about these. I never imagined they were THAT expensive
the way they are built with all aluminum frame adzel exterior and hydrolite walls and floors is an expensive proposition to make it this light not to mention no wood to rot
How expensive are they??
@@IowaHiker $27k
You’ve built a beautiful camper. Why would you demean it by repeatedly calling it a “unit?” Call it what it is: camper, RV, trailer, coach, etc.
Is it available in Canada?
Are you out of stock as there isn't any listed/shown on your website?
yes have more on order but currently out of stock
Didn’t say a dry weight. 🥱
