This is what i consider the perfect set up.... you don't always camp with your significant other... so you want to be able to use a bunk AND the table at the same time. That way I can get up in the middle of the night and have a snack or check email or write a letter... while my brother can stay comfy cozy in bed... PLUS the bathroom. So... nice to see this floor plan available in a lighter camper trailer.
Nice clear review! It blows my mind that my 8’ 1976 tent trailer had a better dining table set up compared to any of these wobbly tables today. Man they really chins out on the fridge and freezer size. Good luck keeping enough food for 4 for 5 days in that little fridge
The video was well done, however these trailers have some issues. We've had a BH for three seasons now. So far the frame has broken twice from highway driving, the windows and hatches have leaked because the holes they put them in are so over sized that they could never be seeled, the bed has broken, the table warped to salad bowl proportions, the grey and black water labels were reversed and the door has never worked properly and is so damaged from trying to close it, it will probably never work well. I don't think we got a lemon, I think these are just really poorly built camper trailers.
Sorry to hear about your bad experience! This is one of the reasons why we bought our Alto from Safari Condo. They might be pricier than some but they are well built and durable. Thanks for watching!
@@DayHikerFromTheSix Fit and finish on this 14BH gives off a DIY vibe comparable to a level of quality seen on big-box RVs from a Lance or Jayco. All the unfinished joints and mediocre hardware seen here makes the higher price point of the Alto a superior value proposition if retained for more than a few seasons.
Interesting concept. Aluminum frame. Totally composite walls and floors. I would be interested, but would like to know how they hold up over time and normal use.
We would recommend you do the same thing we did, which is to talk to other owners maybe on Facebook and do your research before you buy and we would recommend this with any trailer. Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much for this video. Its going to be such a hard decision when I go to make my purchase but the one thing that really narrows it down is finding a local dealer and this company has one less than 15 minutes from my house. Bonus Round!!!!
Great video! I just got rid of my Tab trailer during the pandemic and I’m missing my trailer. Is it complicated to purchase in Canada? My family lives in Ontario.

Nice walk thru . I have the 14FD . I think I want a BH now LOL Owner comment the Window A/C in Oklahoma /Texas does not keep camper cool. and because the opening is small few units fit. Found 6000 BTU with auto controls that is just keeping up. A Vent in roof over the A/C to release the heat would help tremendously. As for no leaks and weight can't beat it for the price point. I luv my Rova !!!
Glad to hear it! Your floorplan has a better kitchen IMO. The A/C isn’t as important up here in Canada, but down South it’s key. Enjoy your camper & thanks for watching!
Does the tongue weight include propane and batteries? I have emailed rove lite twice in the last 3 weeks and no one has gotten back to me, I'm not too impressed with them ignoring me
I’m not 100 per cent sure either. Safest guess would be that it does not. Try joining the Rove Lite owners forum on Facebook. I’m sure at least a few owners have weighed the tongue. Thanks for watching!
Yes, and that would eliminate the need to move the sewer hose from the black to the grey to empty. I would rather have a cassette or composting toilet than have to shift a dirty hose. Jon in rural BC, Canada

@3:06 You might not have to worry about water damage💦🌧💧, but learned that type of composite insulation material is highly flammable 🔥. Can't win them all 🤷♂️, and that's a bummer. The rear window is a port window and not an emergency exit window considering the high flammability of the insulation material. Another bummer.
As with most RVs, no cooking space. Otherwise very nice inside. No sink in the washroom is usually a no-no for me. Yuck, washing hands in the kitchen sink? They could have used some kind of a solution for small washrooms. Plus: excellent couch conversion and lift-bunk. #1 - no cooking space #2 - no sink in the washroom
Just signed a deal for a 2024 with off-road & solar packages. The list or sales price r just a bit misleading since you also have the $2k destination and then prep/dealer fees - It's always a fun game to play in getting the down and dirty out the door price in writing. Got ours for just under $28k US - Then another 2k for state sales tax.
5 gallon black? Should have made it a cassette. That’s useless. 12 v fridge? No dice. Propane or nothing. They had a good unit going until those two automatic stoppers kicked in.
I agree, just got back from a weekend dry camp in a super shady area…no solar, but no worries with the fridge on propane. And we had to run water on purpose just to get the black tank full enough to dump!
You can't pull 200lb dry weight with a car that has 2500 lb towing capacity! Any hill will be a real issue, the wear on that car will be awful. I looked up the specs and it actually lists Dry Weight 1956 lbs, GVWR 2500 lbs. Towing it with a car with less than 3000 lb would be dangerous, you should really have 3500 towing capacity.
I agree with the comment of towing with a vehicle that has a tow rating of not less than 3500lbs. All the research I have made advises the rule of thumb is the trailer’s GVWR is not more than 80% of the tow vehicle’s rating. In this case a vehicle rate to tow 3500lbs at 80% is able to tow a trailer with GVWR at 2800lbs. Must think of payload of the tow vehicle. For those who are new to purchasing a RV that means you need to count the passengers & gear being packed in the tow vehicle as well as towing the trailer. There are a few great UA-cam videos walking through the calculation for this. Overall, great job on showing what the walls & floor is made from. My only wish is that the bunk bed would turn into another storage cabinet. Happy camping.
I agree it’s not built to, say, an automotive standard…unfortunately we see a lot of these foibles in the RV industry. But I still think there is decent value here.
It blows my mind that they put refrigerators that have only electric power option. No gas. Our favorite places are State Parks. They have no power. Total deal breaker.
We agree. On our trailer we have both which is great because we do a lot of dry camping so having the gas option allows us to have more camping options. Thanks for watching!
@@douglascampbell8324 If you have sunny weather and you park the trailer in the sun, then yes...but if you're boondocking you're going to want to park in the shade to stay cool. And if it's cloudy for 3 or 4 days in a row, then you'll be plugging in to the tow vehicle for a charge. I personally would only do a 12V fridge if I had at least 200Ah of lithium on board. Our approach is to use one 100W external solar panel which we chase the sun with, park the trailer in the shade, and run the fridge off of propane. And in this way we have a bit of buffer with our single lead acid battery. Dual propane tanks means we always have backup there too. We have the Truma, the fan, and the lights drawing power, and that's all the single lead acid battery seems able to handle.
We are a family of four and camp in a 17’ trailer with no issues. Sometimes it’s a bit crowded, but way bigger than our old tent! 😃 I wouldn’t live full time in it, but it’s perfect for camping. Thanks for watching!
