Reminds me of a really uncomfortable night I spent in our Sprinter conversion about 18 years ago. It was in the New Forest, UK and we'd been to visit my Aunt who lived in a nearby town. It was August and it was just myself, my husband and our youngest daughter, then 8 years old. She was crazy about horses at the time and we hoped to get a glimpse of the famous semi- wild New Forset ponies. We pulled into a small, gravelly area marked Rufus Stone at dusk. There was nobody else parked there. It was a peaceful spot, but as darkness fell I began to feel really spooked out. The other two seemed oblivious to the vibes but I was hyper alert. I thought maybe I was sensing the presence of the wild boar which also roam the forest but there wasn't a sign of any large animals. It was so scary stepping outside in the dark to have a pee before bed! I lay awake most of the night and it felt like a hostile presence was actually inside the van with us. Horrible! In the morning we awoke to tne sound of curious ponies approaching the van, no spooky vibes at all. Later I found out that the place is supposed to be haunted because King William Rufus was murdered there while out hunting.
I think a lot of what attracts spirits/the paranormal to places like old mining towns is the greed and debauchery and violence inherent in such places. Human emotions tend to accumulate in locations and the objects found there, including in things like gemstones, as you mention, and darker, negative emotions seem to attach themselves stronger than positive ones. coyotes make the scariest screams when calling for their young. We lived in the country and every year we had a mom come over our front yard with her young pups……I’ve never heard anything like it. It was a cross between a screaming woman & a dying cat 😳
This is true. One night I woke up and heard our rabbit thumping loudly in her cage on the porch. She didn't thump loud and constantly like that so I knew something was off. I heard this unearthly scream in the front yard. I grabbed my 2nd amendment rights and a flashlight and went to check. It was a coyote.

It is so weird how me and my friends had the same experience while camping. The scream was exactly how you described it. And it came closer and closer then stopped eventually. It was horrible feeling stuck in a tent like that. Love the vids!
Well I think it’s quite unresponsible of him to leave car door open and and start exploring outside because if there was mountain lion nearby , he can easily snatch the dog

I believe the screams that you heard, or some thing that’s called a red fox they scream in a way that it sounds like a bloodcurdling scream from a dying woman, but also appear as it’s some thing mimicking that it is eerie. I have not heard it myself, but we have some up at the cottage that my grandpa has and my grandpa has heard it creepy
I hear a lot of deer and foxes scream at night or early morning where I live, and they truly sound like someone dying sometimes. Especially the deer really freaked me out the first time i heard it😂 Did not expect that sound from them, like a demonic dog human scream bark. Absolutely loving these vids! tho You're a great story teller and creator and its always entertaining without being over the top! Awesome stuff. Leaving a virtual pet for Millie too as she is such a great doggo and personality!
Yeah. I have a family of foxes that live in the woods behind my house. That scream he recreated was a fox. I've watched the mom fox scream like that in broad daylight. It's haunting, but it's just a fox.
Curious why so many animals evolved the same sort of scream. I wonder if it's in imitation of something, or if that's just a good sound that travels far?
Hello again, Trent the last video I’ve seen of yours when you were staying at the high tower. It was a good video thank you again and by the way, this is Kathy Edgar once again I’m glad to see you’re doing well. Just be sure to watch your back because it’s a crazy world out there. You should know what I mean, I’m gonna be watching your other video. I just want you to have another great day. Thanks again Trent.
Love the spooky history and skinwalker stuff. It was so eerie at night. Maybe set up a night cam near where you camp. You might have caught the skinwalker moving your spade. Looking forward to the mining video
Hi, I lived in that area for years. It is a beautiful spot. The mountain lions might be a reason, to be on alert, but I've never heard much talk about ghosts. Look up the sounds made by bobcats and red foxes. Both make a range of noises that can terrify you in the night, especially bobcats.
That makes you so genuinen you could make a lot drama and leave it like that but you go and find rational explanations, but you still realize there might be more to the haunted place. I really like this.
Trent, I love your channel. You get to do these amazing adventures. And I get to sit and watch it, while drinking my coffee or wine depending on the time I watch it, lol. Hello Fresh, yum!

It's great to see you, Trent. Great video. I loved Milles' flashlight. You're the man of steel being out there alone! Be safe. Looking forward to your next video. Much love
I am so glad this video showed up in my recommended videos. I love vanlife videos and I also LOVE spooky stories and drives on dark roads in the dead of night. This video combines the two and I have to say, this type of video is my absolute favorite! It has everything: Vanlife, camping, spooky stories. But what I most love is THE DOG! I'm so glad that he has a dog with him, because they're such great company. I have to say, I do love his hair - and hope he doesn't cut it anytime soon! He's definitely "easy on the eyes" too, which makes this video a real pleasure to watch! 😆🤣 I also love the front end shots, where it shows the dark road at night. It's like we're riding along. Thumbs up. I'm subscribing. 15:46 Hell no!!
Over 65, and I would say his looks are most of the reason I watch it. LOLOL That and his cool van. Oh and Millie is adorable, love that she sleeps under the covers with him.
Your videos are really fun! I was so nervous for you as you walked down the roads. All I kept thinking was “Oh please go back to the van!” You’re crazy did you know that? Then I’m like “Oh yeah! Say skinwalker again, only this time, say it REALLY loud!!” You’re very brave. I’ll pray for you. God bless.
The screaming woman you heard was definitely a fox. They literally sound like a grown woman being disemboweled. Can definitely scare the hell out of ya in the middle of the woods at night if you're not familiar with the sound.
When I lived in the Zuni mountains in New Mexico I heard mountain lion scream sounds exactly like a woman screaming. Scared the shit out of me I ran in the camper like mom mom there a lady screaming out in the forest hahaha
What a trip...I just came across this video by accident....I live in California now but once upon a hard time in life....not only did I drive down that road....but lived for in the exact spot you parked....never knew it was haunted but it does kinda creep u out at night.... completely different feeling from night n day
I live in the woods of Oklahoma. I do this every night. 😂 Freak out because of animals creeping around my house. They do sound terrifying when they fight and scream. But there there are times I hear stuff and nothing is there😮 It can be creepy AF! You are a brave man to walk out there alone.
@@CrisR07. yes they are real. I am not alone in seeing the thing. I was driving home from work and what looked like half wolf, half man lept over the hood of my car. I watched it disappear over the railing of the bridge and into the field. I thought I was going crazy, my boss at the time was a native american man who w a healer. I went to him and told him what I saw. He confirmed it was a skinwalker. Later that year I learned from others at work and in my community that they had also witnessed this. I lived at the time very near the rez. My grandmother was part native american and I grew up hearing stories. Check into native american folk lore. You will learn more.

Hello Trent, In circumstances such as this, it would be wise to have a contingency plan for Milly. In the unfortunate event something happens to you while traversing through the forest alone, at night; someone would need to come retrieve her or she'll be trapped in the vehicle. It might even be better to leave her with a local friend if the option exists before going on risky adventures.
Seriously...? Don't tell me you honestly believe he's all alone on his trips.. Come on.. Listen very carefully to the story starting at 12:10.... "...the noise that WE were hearing"...."OUR tent".... ".. "WE were sitting in OUR tent ...trying to figure out if WE were hearing this correctly...." .. "...WE came to the conclusion it was probably a mountain lion"... "...after that experience, when WE finally got signal on OUR phones again...".. BUT I don't care, I like this channel, I like the stories.......
Hey, Trent, love watching and seeing this as I'm planning a trip to Colorado with my brother. I am now rethinking..thanks for that. lol...still going to watch though. Sometimes i wish i could live the van life. 😊
That was fun and interesting. YES it looked creepy/haunted. Imagine the indigenous people and how they felt about the odd noises and shadows. Or the first miners/explorers that might be looking at the place by Lantern light.
Your screaming story sounds very similar to what I may have heard this one early morning around 3:45 am when I was camping. it has stuck with me since. This happened in WA at the Saltwater State Park
Beautiful forest. I hate driving at night especially where you are. Also, having to watch for wildlife. I would not get out of the van in the dark though. I would just stay inside and be safe. I would check it out in the morning. You are brave. Nice to have a fur baby with you. How long have you traveled in your van? I love the layout of your van. Very comforting.😂
This was such a fun but chilling video to watch, Trent! I love your vibe so much! :) Also, what kind of flashlight is that? I've been trying to find a good flashlight to take outdoors!
Welcome to Colorado. I hope you enjoy your visit here. I am also in Colorado. There is a very rich history from Colorado Springs to Cripple Creek. Divide and other areas like Victor. Gold Camp Rd is also what we locals refer to as a "Body Dump." Many murder victims end up there as well as questionable activities happen up there. I was always terrified when as a young chi my family would travel the old road and through that original "cave/dug out mountainside road " that you had to drive through to get from COS to Cripple Creek. I would literally start screaming and crying that it was gonna collapse. Years later it happened. They road dept had to fence that off and build a new road around that fallen in access.
It’s crazy how nature can look so beautiful during the day then when the sun goes down the surrounding areas makes our senses become more acute the darkness takes over Your pup is adorable 🥰 you are such a brave guy going out and doing these awesome haunted stories and alone too with some history and how I love me some history that was fun 🤩
I think it's psychological, you hear a bump in the night or think you see something in the corner of your eye that puts you on edge. I agree there were real creatures on that road that were more of threat than ghost stories. I am an open minded sceptic when it comes to the paranormal, but there are some weird things in the world.
I did hear the exact same sound he did while watching this vid. I even went outside to check, but dead silent at night. Iv never seen anything but Iv heard voices sometimes...maybe our brains do that too
@@Exalted_Truth I think our brains can do some strange things when we think we hear or see what may be perceived by some as paranormal. There is a natural thing called infrasound that is beyond human hearing,, but it can create an uneasy feeling (and in some cases trigger our flight or fight response).
That screaming you heard when you were in the tent was probably a Fox. Just YT the sounds that Fox makes. I honestly thought my property was haunted by the Blair Witch until a neighbor told me it was just a Fox. 😂

Wonder if this was footage from while you were out walking the road or if it was in the middle of the night, but either way... she was definitely alerted. Look at her ears!

Found your channel, and my wife and I have been binge watching your videos. Love the content, and love your dog Millie, she is a sweetheart, and a super star!!!
After a crappy couple weeks, the notification for this dropping alone was enough to cheer me up. Also, seeing Millie with her own flashlight is adorable 😊
Sorry for your crappy couple weeks 😊

I just came upon your channel. (Don't take this the wrong way, but...) I'm a 60 year old woman with grandchildren, and I have to say, you are so stickin' cute...and INSPIRATIONAL. I want a van just like yours to adventure around the world in (I'm not dead yet!). Can't wait to see more of your vids, young man.
The skill it takes to film something like this! Amazing video.
he cannot be alone or is a ghost taking the video of him
First time watcher here. I enjoyed this video and will be watching more. Loved the cave, very interesting. I have never believed in ghosts, but I do believe there are things we don't understand and can't explain. Those are the instances which capture our imaginations. Stay safe and give Millie a scratch on the ears for me.
You are literally doing everything I want to do, such a inspiration man for real

Love how openly honest you are about debunking things like the singing you herd in the tunnel and the shovel sliding off the tyre.
A lot of contract creators would have kept these things to themselves to try create some false expense, gotta respect honesty! ✌🏼
Your dog wears a flashlight. Awesome!!
I love watching your adventures. I wish I was brave enough to just let go of everything and just travel. What a fantastic way to live! Good luck in all your journey's.
It is so weird how me and my friends had the same experience while camping. The scream was exactly how you described it. And it came closer and closer then stopped eventually. It was horrible feeling stuck in a tent like that. Love the vids!
This was SOOO GOOD!! Kudos for the courage it took to make this video, I can't imagine being all alone in a remote setting.
He’s got balls!
Millie is one brave girl too!
Horror experience and stories are the only thing that keep my heart beating. And you do justice to it !!
Just found this channel , this is gold
Millie does not look worried at all and she is the one that knows what's really going on.
If there was a thud on the van I think the dog would have gone nuts.
The flashlight attachment had me LOL made it look like Scoobydoo!🤣
When u think about it Pets can see things humans can't which is creepy
Well I think it’s quite unresponsible of him to leave car door open and and start exploring outside because if there was mountain lion nearby , he can easily snatch the dog
@@vanizorc my village is in Himalayan forest , and often leopards are waiting for right time . And when they see the opportunity , they just snatch the dog and disappear and they need 5 seconds and you won’t even hear any sound
I found your channel a couple of weeks ago. I must say besides the creppy content, the captivating storytelling, the eerie vibes, the interesting spots you visit, you come across as a really cool dude. also, I like your style of filming too. the editing, the colors..I only watch youtube these days instead of tv etc. and your videos brighten my day. 🙂 it takes you away for some time from the everyday life and I enjoy it a lot.
same here i stopped watching tv from last 4 years , only youtube which show lot in limited time
I believe the screams that you heard, or some thing that’s called a red fox they scream in a way that it sounds like a bloodcurdling scream from a dying woman, but also appear as it’s some thing mimicking that it is eerie. I have not heard it myself, but we have some up at the cottage that my grandpa has and my grandpa has heard it creepy
Ok well at least it’s not a gigantic threat
@@PrincessTwilightdash still would make someone stain their pants though if they haven't known better, though.
Wait until you hear a bobcat scream lol. Straight nightmare fuel coming from an animal no bigger than it is.
Foxes scream like that. I have several on my farm. It will freak you out the first few times you hear it but you do get used to it 😂
Curious why so many animals evolved the same sort of scream. I wonder if it's in imitation of something, or if that's just a good sound that travels far?
Just found your channel!! I LOVE IT!!! I shared it on Twitter with other paranormal enthusiasts. Your filming style is AMAZING!!!
I appreciate you!
I love your way of life and how you make every video like a documentry! also Millies little light is so awesome!
Your cinematography is what made this episode more chilling. Keep it up!
Trent, I love your channel. You get to do these amazing adventures. And I get to sit and watch it, while drinking my coffee or wine depending on the time I watch it, lol. Hello Fresh, yum!

cudos for getting out doing something thats fun to you & sharing the adventures. good for you trent. fun to watch keep going, stay safe!!
I really want to do this so bad, the thought of being inside the camper van in a haunted area is so exciting
I was stationed in the springs for 4 years, I’ve always explore the area. From what I understand, those tunnels used to be a railway. The city removed it so vehicles can pass through it. I’ve driven on old stage rd multiple times. This gives me that kind of vibes.
This dude is living the good life in my opinion. I wish i could do this. But watching these vids will have to do.
It's great to see you, Trent. Great video. I loved Milles' flashlight. You're the man of steel being out there alone! Be safe. Looking forward to your next video. Much love
It really made it seem like a lil person searching around everywhere with the flashlight 🤣
Wow man.... hats off to you. Your videos are incredible.

I love when camping is horror, it makes the hairs on my neck shudder, but that's what I've been waiting for.
Your videos are really fun! I was so nervous for you as you walked down the roads. All I kept thinking was “Oh please go back to the van!” You’re crazy did you know that? Then I’m like “Oh yeah! Say skinwalker again, only this time, say it REALLY loud!!”
You’re very brave. I’ll pray for you. God bless.
The screaming woman you heard was definitely a fox. They literally sound like a grown woman being disemboweled. Can definitely scare the hell out of ya in the middle of the woods at night if you're not familiar with the sound.
Definitely a fox we hear them all the time
When I lived in the Zuni mountains in New Mexico I heard mountain lion scream sounds exactly like a woman screaming. Scared the shit out of me I ran in the camper like mom mom there a lady screaming out in the forest hahaha
The courage you have to walking that dark forest roads omg i could never I just die by fear
I'm in Osage county, mainly coyotes out here but we do have skinwalkers. Stay safe neighbor.
@@van3363 skinwalkers are real? Could you tell us what they're like?
Ufo at 21:06
@@CrisR07. yes they are real.
@@van3363 I have all kinds of critters. Brown bears, raccoons, Bob cats, owls, coyotes, nutty neighbors. Lol
I have never seen a skin walker. But living near Cherokee reservation I have heard of them. It would be absolutly terrifying to see one like you did.

Your dog is lovely - staffies are the best - and it’s brilliant you got her a torch on her collar too
Couldn't ask for a more beautiful campsite. Thanks for the journey!
Hello Trent,
In circumstances such as this, it would be wise to have a contingency plan for Milly. In the unfortunate event something happens to you while traversing through the forest alone, at night; someone would need to come retrieve her or she'll be trapped in the vehicle. It might even be better to leave her with a local friend if the option exists before going on risky adventures.
I second that !!
I agree wholeheartedly!
@@iknownothing495not many people realize that such big youtubers usually explore such places with a crew and then make it seem like they’re alone

That was fun and interesting. YES it looked creepy/haunted. Imagine the indigenous people and how they felt about the odd noises and shadows. Or the first miners/explorers that might be looking at the place by Lantern light.
Seems a lot less spooky when you have a beast of a specimen like millie with you. Love that sweetie ❤
Trent ain't afraid of no ghosts. He's got balls of steel. Millie with her little light on her collar so cute.

@@dragonmac1234 definitely felt that
That screaming you heard when you were in the tent was probably a Fox. Just YT the sounds that Fox makes. I honestly thought my property was haunted by the Blair Witch until a neighbor told me it was just a Fox. 😂
