I've driven round trip to Alaska and back six times now. My rule of thumb is to fill up at the next opportunity whenever I'm at half a tank. Fuel is fairly plentiful along the entire highway so if I make sure to fill up whenever I'm at half a tank I've never had a problem. I've made the trip in a van, a 2-door convertible, little sedans, SUV's and a full size pickup. I love this drive so much.
Since it's so remote and no civilization for hundreds of miles, when people are sick and can't show up to work or truckers didn't drop fuel so they're out, or the pumps are broken or bad weather, you have to use fuel you're carrying in your gallons. Best to top off every time you see a station. I lived in AK and drove that. It's remote.

Asian guy here . Try this. When your rice is done cooking. Mix it up with a spoon or fork or whatever and fluff the rice. It allows for any extra moisture that is too much to escape as steam. The texture comes out much better. Hope you like. Can any other asians verify this. My mom used to make me do it when i was a kid LOL

The likemindedness of the people thinking the same, doing it their own way just bonds incredibly. It makes me feel so wholesome meeting these people as if you will be friends for life without hearing them too often anymore. The memories made, the views seen, the stories to tell. It’s makes me feel melancholic almost and thats why i love these video’s so much.

Dude, seriously thank you! I just got fired from my job yesterday that I hated, but was also too comfortable with. I feel like it's a weird blessing indisguise. I've watched videos and tours of many tiny homes/van life in the past a number of years ago and really loved the idea of this lifestyle, but then moved on and kind of forgot about it all. I found your channel by looking up gaming PC's the other day and honestly is the happiest accident I've had happen to me in a while. Your videos are comfort food right now in a very uncertain time for me. It's got me thinking about van life again and its nagging me in the back of my mind constantly now, but its a good itch. I'm 25 and have been having a bit of a quarter-life crisis since my birthday back in October. Right now I really just want to find a job, get caught up in my bills, save a bunch of money, and maybe try out the van life here in Canada where I live. So to end on a long note, thank you for inspiring me and unknowingling springing a passion for life back into me again! I hope you stay safe and that your journey continues to go well for you! Oh! The Northern Rockies Lodge is run by idiots. Turned my family away who had a gift certificate because it was "expired" even though it said nothing about that on the certificate. Also, how the hell does a gift certificate expire? You already got your money you jackasses. Always try to steer people away from there. If you're ever in the area, there's a small restaurant up the road by Liard Hot Springs (Liard Hot Springs Lodge and RV Park), they have really good food- burgers and pulled pork sandwiches and such- and they've always seemed friendly when I've been in.

Hey Trent, I have a van (VW T6 converted camper) use it as a day van with my wife, 2 boys and doggo for day and small weekend trips. I love everything about van life but don't personally want to live it. That said I get such an escapism and relaxation through your videos. So thank you and keep on doing your thing brother.

It's absolutely gorgeous❤ I didn't realize we were cutting through the Chucache mountains, When we started and they went from being on our East Side to our West.But oh my gosh, it's just waterfalls.And beautiful scenery and you'll love it.Don't miss it. This is my 7 time watching a UA-camr go to Alaska. Although I have never been I'm too old to go now I've had the luxury of going seven times with seven different aspects of the trip. My husband and I and our two kiddos took our van from Washington up to Alaska last summer, and we actually parked in that same spot you are at the mile 0 campground! It is such an incredible time and such a fun experience. I hope you are having a blast. On your way back down If you haven’t already planned it, you should definitely drive the Cassiar highway back and also stop and see the salmon glacier It is so awesome! Happy travels!
We did three months from FL to AK in 2019 and along the ALCAN, we met several couples whom we kept meeting at gas stations, camp grounds, even restaurants. Watching your video, we realized we never once shared names but instead referred to each other by our home States. But the conversations, laughs and sharing experiences, made that trip all the more memorable. One of the families had these stickers made showing them in front of their rig with their email address. I thought that was a great idea, so we've had them made for our upcoming four month trip to Alaska that will kick off in a few weeks. Our rig is also noticeable - a tear drop with Flamingos and it's not unusual for folks to walk up and say "hey we saw you at such and such and recognized your rig". Always a good ice breaker. I've watched videos and tours of many tiny homes/van life in the past a number of years ago and really loved the idea of this lifestyle, but then moved on and kind of forgot about it all. I found your channel by looking up gaming PC's the other day and honestly is the happiest accident I've had happen to me in a while.
Your videos are comfort food right now in a very uncertain time for me. It's got me thinking about van life again and its nagging me in the back of my mind constantly now, but its a good itch. I'm 25 and have been having a bit of a quarter-life crisis since my birthday back in October. Right now I really just want to find a job, get caught up in my bills, save a bunch of money, and maybe try out the van life here in Canada where I live.
So to end on a long note, thank you for inspiring me and unknowingling springing a passion for life back into me again! I hope you stay safe and that your journey continues to go well for you!

The Northern Rockies Lodge is run by idiots. Turned my family away who had a gift certificate because it was "expired" even though it said nothing about that on the certificate. Also, how the hell does a gift certificate expire? You already got your money you jackasses. Always try to steer people away from there.
If you're ever in the area, there's a small restaurant up the road by Liard Hot Springs (Liard Hot Springs Lodge and RV Park), they have really good food- burgers and pulled pork sandwiches and such- and they've always seemed friendly when I've been in.
Glad that you have some company along the way; your character is amazing, making tea for a stranger; good man; appreciate you taking such amazing shots of life passing by, which many of us do not experience; you made my morning, thank you Trent :))

Hey Trent, I have a van (VW T6 converted camper) use it as a day van with my wife, 2 boys and doggo for day and small weekend trips. I love everything about van life but don't personally want to live it.
That said I get such an escapism and relaxation through your videos.

Meeting some strangers with the "same" goal can be especially difficult for more of us introverts/loners sometimes of a challenging but genuinely it is just such peaceful sharing vibes in this video, although everyone is having their own alaska trip moment. But it was super lovely to see the conversation between Nathaniel and you, your eyes lit up and it seemed you felt understood. The energy really shines through! :D Don't stress too much about editing or too many plans, just enjoy your journey as much you want. With followers, there will be always people trying to demand more or be needy/bored. That guy knows what's up. Moto-camping has been my new favorite addiction. I took my busa through Shenandoah with some saddle bags and gear to camp and it was the best weekend I've had.

When you get there, whatever way you go.When you come into Glenallen, take the road to Valdez which will become the Thompson pass to valdez. It is seriously the most beautiful drive i've ever been on ever. And others have thought so too. It's absolutely gorgeous❤ I didn't realize we were cutting through the Chucache mountains, When we started and they went from being on our East Side to our West.But oh my gosh, it's just waterfalls.And beautiful scenery and you'll love it.Don't miss it. Then I love traveling with you.I've been to Alaska twice and driven all over.And all my gosh I fell in love with it. I live in Portland Oregon, thought it was the most beautiful state.It's a little brother to alaska. Enjoy the journey❤

I did the AT in 2013 and this video is giving me thru-hiker vibes. I loved meeting people who all had the same goal along the way, sharing a little time with them and moving on. It was somewhat fleeting but meaningful! Glad to see vanlife has those similarities

This is my 7 time watching a UA-camr go to Alaska. Although I have never been I'm too old to go now I've had the luxury of going seven times with seven different aspects of the trip. Which to me is amazing so thank you for taking me along again as I will never be there myself, but being with you has let me enjoy a trip I will never be able to take God bless you and Millie and take care and be safe😊

My husband and I and our two kiddos took our van from Washington up to Alaska last summer, and we actually parked in that same spot you are at the mile 0 campground! It is such an incredible time and such a fun experience. I hope you are having a blast. On your way back down If you haven’t already planned it, you should definitely drive the Cassiar highway back and also stop and see the salmon glacier It is so awesome! Happy travels!

We did three months from FL to AK in 2019 and along the ALCAN, we met several couples whom we kept meeting at gas stations, camp grounds, even restaurants. Watching your video, we realized we never once shared names but instead referred to each other by our home States. But the conversations, laughs and sharing experiences, made that trip all the more memorable. One of the families had these stickers made showing them in front of their rig with their email address. I thought that was a great idea, so we've had them made for our upcoming four month trip to Alaska that will kick off in a few weeks. Our rig is also noticeable - a tear drop with Flamingos and it's not unusual for folks to walk up and say "hey we saw you at such and such and recognized your rig". Always a good ice breaker.
