Hello everyone healer main here (mostly WHM) Manto Lulfar on the Coeurl server anyways I see people arguing a lot about the whole Clemency thing as an insult to healers but I want to say that I'm perfectly fine with the PLD using it honestly allowing me to feel less stressed as a healer just a note the self healing really shouldn't be used a whole lot since CD's need to be managed properly. I like to use Tetragrammaton as my first string heal since the CD isn't super long but still manageable throughout a dungeon/raid fight and then go from there. When trash pulls occur or when boss fights start I usually open with a medica 2 and regen on the main tank and then switch to cleric stance allowing about 20 seconds of decent HoT's while I squeeze out some DPS but if my tank gets hit by his/her tank buster then I will use a CD out of cleric stance maybe reapply medica 2 or regen and then swap back. As for raid wide damage I will use assize as a main CD for healing and the bit of MP. Push come to shove if the raid takes some damage at around 40%-50% HP I use medica and reapply medica 2. Just a note I notice a lot Tanks I get usually don't use Clemency maybe because of the MP cost??? Idk but ehh the whole DPS as a healer really isn't an issue for me but depending on the dungeon or raid where heavy healing is required then I will mostly focus on healing and if my tank is not the greatest then I'm probably full time heals.
As someone who played both WHM and PLD at 70, yes, use clemency. It's the only reliable non-CD damage mitigation a PLD has (Sheltron is kindof a joke against tankbusters) and if you don't use it you are wasting healer MP. Healers are the only role that has to really worry about going OOM. BLM goes OOM as part of their rotation. A lot of DPS doesn't even use MP. Tanks reliably get their MP back over the course of the fight. Etc. Meanwhile a WHM who has no MP is going to be sweating bullets while waiting for Lucid Dreaming/Thin Air/Assize to come back up.

Top notch healing advice for any new healers out there. I've been healing since XI, and now that I've came across this healing tutorial, my healing skills are better than ever. I'm always the main talk of the party, I've been respected more now than ever.
Then you're not just Clemency-slapping the healer in the face - you are shoving shit down his throat while giving him the middle finger with the other hand.
Seeing this 2 years later: Then you have GNB with Superbolide, where when the Healer waits to the last second to use Beni, we can piss it all away and reassert ourselves as a priority.
I don’t know how to read so I didn’t understand the red text at the beginning, but I did understood what you said and I’ll make sure I follow this Guide and also teach this method to new players, thank you. My friend wrote this comment for me. I can’t write either.
This was legit funny asf. Im new to FFXIV (been playing for like a week now) and my god I'm so fucking mad it took me this long to find this masterpiece. I maining Monk now, but definitely want to try all three roles. Thnx for laughs, keep up the solid work.
even though it meant to be a joke, some times you had a point. im a whm and i feel alittle offended when the tank does clemency. edit. after people explained to me the reasons for them healing themselves, im not too bothered by it nowadays.
From my perspective, I'll usually do Divine Veil > Clemency myself, since I can control when the shield goes out. During a big pull or boss fight/Primal/Savage, etc, though, any non-Divine Veil-triggering Clemency casting is absolutely intended to be a slap in the face to inattentive healers.
Jesus christ how dumb are you...clemency could be considered just another mitigation tool, where you dont have to heal the PLD but just keep DPSing. No one ever bitches about WAR Inner Beast, Thrill of Battle, Equilibrium or DRK Dark Arts-Soul Eater self-healing.
Started playing a week ago, lvl 25 CNJ, and yes, of course i stand on those boxes in the mine or any other cool spot where everyone can admire me! What's the point if no one can see who saves their asses? 😅
the bene part was def funny. I wish you kept the flashing text out of the intro though. Keeping the fact that this isn't a real guide implied by terrible tips makes the humor better :P Though putting that info in the video description doesn't take away from it like it does in the video itself.
NecNix yes. When you had cleric stance on you do damage. But people would forget to turn it off and lose 10% healing potency and have very little MND because it swaps your INT and MND. So when the tanks cool downs wear off they eventually die because the healer can't keep up.
Zonther Ah, I gotcha. But to counter the fact that it no longer have a permanent damage boost, they ALSO added a skill that have you a temporary healing boost. Assuming that Largesse wasn't already ingame.
I just wanted to tell you that your oxygen mask metaphor saved a duty that kept wiping, it finally got it through to the healer that they need to keep themselves alive before taking care of the tank. We finally beat it on our sixth (ugh) attempt.
Also love how in the beginning of this video you are wearing a white robe and repping WHM, and in the end a black one repping SCH. Very subtle, but nice! I also love how the game deliberately tells you to abuse bene.
hi im kinda new to healing, that idea with healing from cool spots to let them know your COOL is nice, i will try that today. letting them drop to almost zero and than give him a big heal, is kinda fun too i wonder what they think about that but no1 didnt say anything so far. any special tips to make them pull faster/bigger? i always say "you can go crazy on the pulls :)" or somehting like that but alot of guys just keep pulling 1-2 mobs.
actually, being your own #1 target is not completely wrong, since if you forget to heal yourself, the rest of the party will die too (happened way too often to me xD)

The res macro was the most hilarious part of the video. Nice work.
I like the "rez target so he can uninstall the game" if a healer used that on me I'd be smiling while say "you son of a..."
those are some cheeky macros for sure lol.
One of my friends has a rez macro that says " has completed their spiritbond with the ground!" I always laugh when I see it
@@ClockworkCouture. omg that's F'ing brilliant!
Thanks for the tips. I just came back to FFXIV so I can get ready before Stormblood. Been wanting to try out healer, and you make it sound pretty fun. I'll definitely be following your advice. Liked and subscribed.
when you see the animation for blood price go off, that's your cue to spam holy. make sure you do it after your first 4 second, then 2 to maximize the times the trash is stunned
I laughed so much at the text bubble for Raya-O-Senna XD!!!! Nice work Zepla
Thanks! This really helped my healing a lot Everybody loves me now!
Because I give them no other choice!
I'm new and I learned a lot! Thanks! I'll be doing my first dungeon tonight and I think a lot of these tips will help. :)
"You should be using limit break as much as possible! because its a free heal!" (this totally made my day :-)
This awesome advice and these tips still stand strong today in 2020! Respect!
Omg, as a healer, this is 100% how I wish I could play the game.
Top notch healing advice for any new healers out there. I've been healing since XI, and now that I've came across this healing tutorial, my healing skills are better than ever. I'm always the main talk of the party, I've been respected more now than ever.
Should I give to this tank a little spook?
Do you have Benediction? If so, than yes. Of course you should. What kind of healer would you be if you didn't?
You are without a doubt my favourite ffxiv UA-camr
But Zepla! What if we Warriors use one of our many self heals?
Then you're not just Clemency-slapping the healer in the face - you are shoving shit down his throat while giving him the middle finger with the other hand.
This comment just made my night.
Seth Matteson if you do that
Not only it's no more heals for you, but the healers are inclined to rescue you into AoE attacks
First time seeing your videos and I love them! Subbed 😄
Seeing this 2 years later:
Then you have GNB with Superbolide, where when the Healer waits to the last second to use Beni, we can piss it all away and reassert ourselves as a priority.
I don’t know how to read so I didn’t understand the red text at the beginning, but I did understood what you said and I’ll make sure I follow this Guide and also teach this method to new players, thank you. My friend wrote this comment for me. I can’t write either.
Gonna put a macro on my benediction to say 'clench 'em butt cheeks
Thanks for the guide I was looking for, just started to play conjurer, will follow every step :3
I do consider Clemency to be a personal insult to my healing, if y'all can heal yourselves so good you don't need me so I'ma go make a snack
lol #triggeredhealer
schwarzschild radius lol #thinkshesacoolkid
i also consider smn's physick and rdm's vercure as an insult. i have a raise macro ready saying "didnt you have physick/vercure? :O"
I use Clemency for Divine Veil cuz' healers will take almost 3 seconds to know that I need healing.
Leonard Papruz vercure I give a pass because they sometimes use it to proc dualcast, but everything else yes!
This was legit funny asf. Im new to FFXIV (been playing for like a week now) and my god I'm so fucking mad it took me this long to find this masterpiece. I maining Monk now, but definitely want to try all three roles. Thnx for laughs, keep up the solid work.
I just came across your channel and I love this video! it's exactly how I heal and I main whm 😂😂
"Rezzing so he can uninstall the game" that made me to lose it xD
Jokes on you. I'mma heal like this anyways.
even though it meant to be a joke, some times you had a point. im a whm and i feel alittle offended when the tank does clemency. edit. after people explained to me the reasons for them healing themselves, im not too bothered by it nowadays.
jesus fucking christ.....
SpaceGrape whaat?
Paladin's only use for mp is flash and clemency, to not use clemency is to waste resources.
That Benediction tip will only work until there is a Gunbreaker.

"An extremely powerful white mage"
*Did you just assume my class?*
Edit: When the hell did I comment this? Apparently a year ago lmao
What other class would you play?
GekoHayate Astrologian or Scholar tyvm
Haha, so glad I found your channel, vids are always fun XD
'When Paladins use Clemency, that says that they think they are better than you.'
Well she isn't wrong 😉
whoever made this is bonded to me in such a spiritual way! lol
well the macro telling the target to uninstall the game is actually helpfull xD thanks hahahaha
"Turn on cleric stance"
Well that did not age well >.>
I found myself fondly remembering my Bard's old backflip Purple Rain move at 0:50. :)
How have I not seen this until now..This is great.
I'm hearing a lot about the idea of turning Cleric Stance on and off... Was it originally a toggle, like Grit or the Oaths?
Assuming that Largesse wasn't already ingame.
i think people took your advice. ^^;;
(said as a dead tank on the floor)
This absolutely murdered me, you madam have a new sub.
This is satire on how to be a complete jerk right?
I just wanted to tell you that your oxygen mask metaphor saved a duty that kept wiping, it finally got it through to the healer that they need to keep themselves alive before taking care of the tank. We finally beat it on our sixth (ugh) attempt.
thank you !! i'm a new player and healer and it was so helpful
Someone please tell me what clothing (upper body) that is at the very end of the video.
Also love how in the beginning of this video you are wearing a white robe and repping WHM, and in the end a black one repping SCH. Very subtle, but nice!
I also love how the game deliberately tells you to abuse bene.
This is EXACTLY, how to heal.
Now I feel I'm ready to try healing.
I took this advice and am the best healer on my shard now, thanks zepla
hi im kinda new to healing, that idea with healing from cool spots to let them know your COOL is nice, i will try that today.
letting them drop to almost zero and than give him a big heal, is kinda fun too i wonder what they think about that but no1 didnt say anything so far.
any special tips to make them pull faster/bigger? i always say "you can go crazy on the pulls :)" or somehting like that but alot of guys just keep pulling 1-2 mobs.
this was amazing!
actually, being your own #1 target is not completely wrong, since if you forget to heal yourself, the rest of the party will die too (happened way too often to me xD)
I'm applying this to any and all Alex runs from now on. And Subbing.
Haha I do that last-second heal sometimes when the tank annoys me, or if I just feel like messing around. No harm done though, right?
