These calls took place back in 2016, before I even started my UA-cam channel. I found a tech support company called Techie Avengers, and I destroyed it, it took me months to take them down, but I got a ton of hilarious recordings in the process.

I have often wondered what would happen if they got an elderly person, here in the uk who had a similar accent and could speak a common language with them. Cue Zak, he works at my favourite restaurant, he was telling me about his grandma, she’s almost 80, moved to the uk years ago after marrying in India. She’s one of those people who aren’t naturally a language learning person. She’s found English difficult from the beginning, so when she answered the phone and heard a familiar accent she felt more comfortable. Then she heard Hindi in the background, so she spoke in Hindi. So did the scammers 😤 She’s got virtually no it knowledge except that she can talk to friends and family easier, no matter where they are when her grandchildren come with their technology. So when the scammer asked her about Amazon she was a bit puzzled, she of course had heard it & family had ordered her things. But she knew for certain she hadn’t used it herself or ordered anything (please remember she’s speaking in Hindi as are they) Her family had told her about phone scammers, but this could have been her own grandson talking to her. A good Indian young man wouldn’t do that?
I don’t remember the order of it, or their exact words of course, but….

Do you have a laptop or computer? She didn’t.
Do you have a smart phone? She had heard that & knew phones can do all sorts now, but she has a very basic phone.
In the end got really angry, he swore at her, told her he knew people in England and was going to send them after her, she told him he didn’t have her address and that her daughter was in a high position in uk police. Swore some more at her & ended the call. She had to sit down, she was shaking and her neighbour did her usual pop in to make her a cuppa and check if she needed anything. Sharon rang Mrs D’s daughter and then she rang other relatives.
They had taught her well & she was thankful for it so she had some defence against the scammers. She’s still upset by it & how he treated her. Sharon put her teen son & daughter’s numbers in her phone and to ring them if anyone tried asking her about money etc. or anything else she needed. They call her Nan because they grew up living next door and their grandparents live a while away. They’ve taken her bins out, cut the grass, cleared snow, checked on her, staying over night when she’s been I’ll. their friends have sometimes asked why they don’t look anything like their grandparents, her husband died a few years ago. She’s their grandma because that’s what she’s been to them. She took that role & has always treated them exactly like the rest of her grandchildren. They go spend Eid with her & the rest of the family, in turn she always spends Easter and Christmas at Sharon’s house.

She knows that she has so many good people in her life, we had a morning tv series about scammers a while ago, she watched some of them and was angry, not just because they hurt people, but for bringing dishonour to the people of India.

Love the idea of an illegal company suing someone else for harassment.
Actually pretty common with "Free Energy" and "Miracle Wonder Cure®" companies. Point out how they claims are lies, that their devices do nothing, and that their explanations on how they are supposed to work are nonsense, and you can easily end up in court for defamatory statements and for intentionally harming their business for no reason. They rarely ever win these cases, it's just a scare tacticto make you sign a cease and decist statement, and if you don't give in and they reach the point where loosing in court becomes inevitable they just drop the lawsuit. So you end up having lost quite some time and nerves, maybe some money, too, and their legal record is still clean. You can then try to counter sue for malicious allegation, and spend another year or two on that with uncertain outcome ...

Hey I knew a guy who was got into trouble for stealing pot from a friend. The friend literally called the police on him! The guy got into trouble, tho I think the police kept the pot lol

These scammers scammed one of my cousins of ₹25000. They even tried scamming my father. I had to teach my father how to counter these animals.

These people do this a lot thanks to low technology literacy. A huge percentage of technology users are pretty new.
These animals target old people and new users of smartphones and computers.
Police can arrest them. Many get arrested too. Nowadays they target people who have money but are not that literate.
Government is trying to educate people to be aware of such things by campaigns and reminding everyone by regular emails and mobile messages.

Dude My Stepdad and Mother got Scammed.. I told them no Government Agency or Company will call you asking for gift cards.. They still got Scammed.. I love the Elderly but some of them can be a little stubborn..

in india it was way to expensive to even do national calls back in the days but after ambani made the company called JIO the cost of wifi for 50 mbps went from 20$ to just 5$ and calling and mobile data went from 15$ to just 5 to 6$ this all happened after 2016

This is one of the greatest ways I've seen for shutting down these scam call centers. All these people do all day is spam call hard working people and try to screw them over, what perfect irony that the best way to destroy them is to do the same thing to them. Just have a bunch of virtual machines call them thousands of times a day and jam up their lines. If a single freaking person can do this, just think of how much good it would do to have entire fed teams or independent companies dedicated to destroying these plagues on society.

While I don't have the hacking skills of these scambaiters, I do try my best to take up their time on my days off from work. I used to work in a store that sold gift cards and I warned so many elderly people about these horrible people.

It’s actually sad. Most of them spent money on education hoping for a bright future and release from poverty but get no jobs due to high population. Hence these are the jobs they’ve to resort to feed themselves and their families. Many of them don’t understand the intensity of what they’re doing. Sad.

I can now produce a lot more harassment for them, but still can't match how much they harass us, one time they called me at 7 AM, I have been shutting them down ever since, I am not a morning person.

I did the same to a girl from Liverpool that tried to scam me, then started drop calling me when I refused to pay any money. 24 hours later she had to call the police who contacted me to find out why I was harassing her. They got told bluntly what happened, and that it won't stop until she's investigated as I felt jamming her phone line was preventing other frauds from happening 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

The fact they consider scamming as a legitimate income is exactly why they need mallard sent to them constantly.
I called a scammer about 20 times one time. They would answer the phone calling me filthy names. After he begged me to stop calling I told him to never call my number again. They probably sold my number to a dozen other scammers and the calls never stop. So....
Inform these numbers to scambaiters. They can hack their systems nowadays and destroy them for a few months
