The big thing is there was a huge raid by cops in sector 5 and all these scammers ran away and i am sure they won't come back for at least a month. We are equally frustrated with these thieves and India getting a bad name and also IT industry is getting affected.
I wish the authorities would take this more seriously. India overall has a terrible reputation for this. I keep them on the phone as long as possible to waste their time.

You see they are mostly threatening to rape women as an attempt to insult you. That reflects well on how women are treated here. How brazenly they display their disgust for elderly and harrass them. Nonethless, your work is satisfying. I really applaud your efforts.

India is a very ancient and noble race. These "educated" robbers are giving it a bad name. The decent people of India will have to order the Police to close down All these scamming centres. It will take a huge effort but it should be done. The Managers and Top Level owners of the Scam centres should be arrested First. Very often only the low-level employees get taken in and the Top level Scammers get away to start again.
Thinking about how a lot of these people's own grandparents would feel, hearing them speak to strangers on the phone like this - let alone seniors - is nauseatingly depressing. I've seen firsthand what happens when these guys' relatives find out the money they're supporting them with comes from scams. I promise you've never seen a person devastated by shame until you've witnessed that reaction.

I'm so glad Perogi is learning to speak the language, hope he gets to the point where he can speak like a native. I think a lot of the scammers hear him talk and because he sounds like he's reading off a cue card with a thick American accent, they don't take him seriously.

I do have a question tho. Do you, or any of the victims, report such incidents to the cops or to the Indian Embassy in US? I would really love them to be dragged and prosecuted for messing with people's hard earned money.
Indian Embassy won't care (they don't deal with this stuff). US cops will just tell you not to get scammed (it's all about risk minimisation). Pretty useless but they're hamstrung by international borders and the corrupt Indian police (worst is generally Kolkata, the call centres are run as org. crime and pay off the police directly, one channel caught even it in action, i.e. an Indian cop getting bribed right across the street).
This is cathartic for me. My 80 yr old mom got took for about 25 grand..different scam but hate these people who prey on the elderly the rage and cussing is disturbing too Thank you!!!

I always make a thing to annoy scammers when they call. You see it with calls, e-mails & websites. You can even type the number you received the call from into Google & see reports (if it is known to be a scam). I’ve had abuse from a scammer once. It’s a beautiful feeling. The work that you do must give you so much satisfaction. Keep up the good work - I wonder if you can trace numbers that I’ve received calls from - they’re UK based. I imagine you can - that would be hilarious. I’ll work towards donating because I’d love to make that happen. Peace ❤️
Thank you for doing this. These scammers scam Indians as well. I have worked in an Indian Bank, we used to get queries regarding scams from poor customers. They should be shamed for scamming people of their entire life savings. They don't even spare poor uneducated people. Shame on them .

I am born and raised in America as were my parents. However I do speak a few different languages. What this bunghole is trying to say is your accent does not match there's. What you're saying is fine. They are just nit picking. I had a lot of fun understanding Arabic. Before the internet, Amazon, Best Buy, There used to be mom and pop electronic stores. 99% were run and owned by Syrian Jews. When they did not want the customers to understand what was going on they would always speak in Arabic. I was fluent in this language never let them know it always gave me the upper hand knowing what was going on. I even learned the code that they would put on every piece of merchandise. It had a price that was astronomically inflated and then a thing called a lot number. The lot number was the code for the salesperson to know what each item cost. This was a big help to me when I was buying electronics. Stereo equipment, clock radios, appliances and so on. Had to share with you. Take care and happy Hunting.

Indian government doesn't seem to care unless it makes big headlines and even then the guys are back to what they were doing weeks or months later.

@@everevelyn1094 it was a romance scam. My mom was the least likely to get scammed we thought she lost her mind we didn't find out about money until later.and no it wasn't Indian. He said he was Irish and spoke with that accent

I always make a thing to annoy scammers when they call. You see it with calls, e-mails & websites. You can even type the number you received the call from into Google & see reports (if it is known to be a scam). I’ve had abuse from a scammer once. It’s a beautiful feeling. The work that you do must give you so much satisfaction. Keep up the good work - I wonder if you can trace numbers that I’ve received calls from - they’re UK based. I imagine you can - that would be hilarious. I’ll work towards donating because I’d love to make that happen. Peace ❤️
Thank you for doing this. These scammers scam Indians as well. I have worked in an Indian Bank, we used to get queries regarding scams from poor customers. They should be shamed for scamming people of their entire life savings. They don't even spare poor uneducated people. Shame on them .

You may have had better luck if, instead of gross mispronunciation, you had called ASIM, - USSEEM. The mispronunciation is a dead giveaway, and inevitably results in a failure to get Lift-off.

However I do speak a few different languages.

I had a lot of fun understanding Arabic. Before the internet, Amazon, Best Buy, There used to be mom and pop electronic stores.
99% were run and owned by Syrian Jews. When they did not want the customers to understand what was going on they would always speak in Arabic. I was fluent in this language never let them know it always gave me the upper hand knowing what was going on.
I even learned the code that they would put on every piece of merchandise.
It had a price that was astronomically inflated and then a thing called a lot number.
The lot number was the code for the salesperson to know what each item cost. This was a big help to me when I was buying electronics.
Stereo equipment, clock radios, appliances and so on. Had to share with you.
