I hacked an Indian scammer and stole her photos, then I called her the next day and showed her one of her own photos, she freaked out. I told her that I will tell her parents what she does, she was begging me not to say anything to them!

My aunt got robbed by one of these organizations for 20k and they just laughed and verbally abused me with foul language when I contacted them for her. Zero respect for these evil doers.

Considering how organized these operations can be, I wouldn’t be shocked if her fear is because her parents know, and they’d only kick her out because she got caught.
I am an Indian and I can't fathom how much people like these make me angry and double down when they are confronted like they are in the right from moral stand point. It's f*cking disgusting. I am glad that you are putting your skills to such a great extent to put a cork on these bastards. And yes, while I agree law enforcement here isn't exactly too tight when it comes to cyber frauds but I can certainly tell that we are picking up pace in that matter in urban cities. These scammer do nothing in comparison to what their companies do in other countries or in India. Yes they should be put in jail nothing to be proud of, but we are much better than what their people do overall. Everready did bhopal gas, Nestle Jonson poison products for kids. They even banned imran hashmi movie tiger[you can find it online. So don't over shame yourself.

As an Indian in tech support business, my blood boils to see the sheer audacity of the scammers to malign our collective identity. These people are also a bunch of stupids. If they put such effort into providing actual support, they can earn legit money.
These scammers are the reason why there are thousands of empty offices in noida right now....the tech support boom has left india and gone on to Phillipines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Turkey, Serbia etc....we have lost billions of dollars and millions of jobs due to these filthy scammers. The Union government is sleeping as most of the people doing the scams are related to the Bjp. The same with the mamta government in Bengal. Enough is enough.
The problem is your government or police authorities don't care. If they did they would have hard penalties for this and would be cracking down on these scammers who are all over India and easy to find as various youtube channels have exposed.
India is now synonymous globally with scammers and Indian people don't care because it is not them getting scammer but rather people living in the west.

You must be aware of how densely populated we are. So you could imagine the number of complaints filed all over India per day. It's a disaster that so many cases are pending in Indian courts, of course, this needs to be improved. In this scenario, charges of scamming foreigners living outside India will not be given priority. A sad reality! Bigger charges of murder, rape, kidnapping or corruption, etc would certainly get more attention from the public and the administration, then comes property disputes, domestic violence...you get the point. An out-of-India scam will always lag behind.
Secondly, you might think whatever India is synonymous with, but this conclusion will only remain within your thoughts. You show me one Indian scammer twat, and I show you 1000 genuinely hardworking IT support guys & devs against it. I'm not even talking about the tech CEOs, I'm talking about the common people in IT, skilled enough to compete with anyone on this planet. I'm not exaggerating. Also, we hate the scammers to the core.
Third, you don't think Indians get scammed? Here are just a few of how we also get scammed:
> 1) Scams by fellow Indians - get double money (pyramid scheme), a lucky draw winner, free gifts
> 2) Scams by Pakistanis/Bangladeshis - UPI code, bank OTP scams(victims are often elderly or non-tech savvy, just like in the West)
> 3) Scams by Chinese & South East Asians (latest) - Tinder scam, fake online girlfriend
The keyword to scam people in the west is *personal security* , while for Indians, it is a *lucky winner* or a *lucky guy* . Don't ask the reason, that will take me another day to explain.
_So what is the solution?_
This will take a toll on your thoughts but Jim's amazing skills are not enough to take the scammers down unless you support Jim and others on the ground. Gather a mass to hit your respective government hard. This will trigger the Western embassies in India and then the Indian govt will have to prioritize your cases. Think about it!
You see, the Indian masses can't be scammed by the keyword used in the West. And the keywords that work in India are too lame to be disclosed. So hardly anyone files a case after knowing that they've been fooled by scammers from abroad. This would be so insulting and tiring that we would rather stay with the grief. But Indian scams operating within India do get caught. Read more.

The rise of these scam centers in India is no coincide. Either the law comes after them hard or they will grow like locust. You have seen that these people are sociopaths - calmly trying to steal money from the most vulnerable and gullible people in the west. The only thing these creatures will understand is the full force of the law. Nothing else. There is no soul to appeal to as you can clearly see.

Since you patiently read, I would say one more thing. Many of these Indian firms are working for the Chinese Mafia. They get the cut, and the rest goes to the boss. And this way they also show a legit foreign client. It's a matter of shame for me. But yes, I hope someday Jim and others will collect some solid evidence against the bigger Mafia.

Bless you both! My mother was almost scammed before I lost her in 2020. I just happen to be sitting by her. I told her hang up was a scam. I made her call her great grandson. They had told her he was in jail and was in a car wreck. That was why he sounded different. I had been watching these guys videos. I had a call twice I had won PCH 2million and a car. I messed with the first one cause I was bored. The second one I told off.i just got tired of their BS. I'm so sorry about you both God Bless you.

Contacting the scammers family and friends should be a standard procedure, make them be shunned IRL
100% and its not illegal either but has a greater effect than just wasting their time. Plus, they're all on fb so just msg everyone they know, saying they scam people. Should have the desired effect.

My 88 year old mom was getting literally dozens of these calls a day. I was able to stay with her a while and got a lot of them stopped. I mess with these scammers as much as I can before they hang up on me. I enjoy wasting their time and hope they eventually decide not to call my mom's number anymore. Either way, she knows to contact me or my sister before she does anything from a phone call. If the call is legit they might get insulted. I just don't care if they don't like it. These losers cannot break our family bond by telling her not to talk to her son or daughter!

If indian authorities really wanted this closed down, they would be able to. It is just to put in the people to track scammers. Full time hire the pro you tube scambaiters would in itself have effect if all the tip and info they provide were used. Then prosecute AND expose- visibly publish the scammers ID, crime and sentence for all to see. And have puniments that people emphatically want to avoid.
