Ed Solomons. One of the few people who can discuss owning guns most of us will never afford, without being smug or elitist. Really interesting video. Spot on philosophy, we graft so we can enjoy owning nice things relative to what we can afford but it’s being out there enjoying the sport that matters.
Know how you feel Ed I owned 26 in total including many gold custom ones my first one in 1975 and at the time was the only krieghoff shooter in this country so I'm glad the rest eventually copied me and gave me many wins at world European and domestic
Everytime I watch this video- I pick up something I missed before- great work Jonny. All the other videos you and Ed have done are second to none. You are very fortunate to have Ed and great gun clubs to film your videos at. Very informative at the highest level in every regard. Thanks again sir. Best regards from Missouri, USA.
Love the TGS content, love to listen to Ed and Simon, Sascha’s camera work is taking it to next level, just watched this twice! thank you form Australia.
This format is fantastic. It's really a nice alternative to watch this kind of discussion without the energy of the field. Don't get me wrong the discussions on a course are great but this is a nice change of pace. Keep up the great content from a fan of yours from the USA.
Beautiful guns, and a riveting video once again. Above & beyond the pretty things however, I would like to wish Mr Solomons all the very best with his health issues, whatever they may be - it's always a pleasure to watch him weave his magic.
Another great video from Johnny and Ed. I was surprised to see the adjustable combs on his custom stocks until he explained that his weight fluctuates giving him the need to make adjustments from time to time. I feel very fortunate to have two incredible clays guns. Ed, he's living the life with three.
THanks I started with a K 32 around 1990 and now have since late 90's a K 80 Parkours Special with a Carrier Barrel and full length Kolar Sub Gauge Tubs 20ga 28ga and 410. Love it and not once has it let me down.
I shot beretta for a good while, moving onto a new DT11 EELL to mark a milestone birthday. Had nothing but problems with it. Ended up writing off 2022 comps and shooting as it was back and to to GMK so many times, ended up having 4 DT11 swaps, all with different issues until I lost confidence and gave up with the brand. September 22 I got a K80 SS and what a refreshing change that was, different animal than the DT11 and has took some time to adjust but my scores have continued to improve. I’ve had zero issues, so many positive comments and the support from Alan Rhone is second to non. I agree with everything Ed says, they are simply superb pieces of engineering. I’d never sell mine, but I would like to add another. Great vid guys! ❤ PS we need a factory tour with JC and ED. Road trip!
It appears that shooting well at clay develops an ability to handle questions with instinctive sharpness. There is a responsiveness to this interviewee that reminds one that you have to anticipate and lead to address the issue before the focus vanishes. Fun, fun!
Great to see Ed Solomons personal collection, he comes across as a great guy. Would really like to get a Kregoff, K80 Super sport but the wife would loss it !! If I spent that much 😂 Great interview TGS 👍
Im considering a krieghoff at the moment, but getting to try one is not easy here in Australia. If I do get one it will be a basic model, engraving looks great. Unfortunately, it won't improve my shooting.
Gday Paul, I found buying my Krieghoff through the Australian agent 6 years ago to be a great experience and a decision that I’ve never once regretted.

Very straight shooting guy. The chokes that hit hard are very interesting. seem really long, maybe there's something to the chokes shape, that allow them hit harder, pattern wise. I would like my next gun to have them characteristics of abnormally hard hitting.

Enormously likeable guys. Solomons is so straight talking - thank God. I do wish they wouldn't wear hats whilst inside. It's such a vulgar habit. I'm still using my vintage B2G, but goodness I'm tempted.

If I want to look at something about shotguns on UA-cam, these two gentlemen are just about the only "game in town" for me.
