yesss I think that would be fun!! I don’t have much in those banana milk and melon colours she recommended but I’m going to the thrift store today so fingers crossed 🥰
@@stealthespotlight_ good luck! I'm curious how many appropriate colors you have in your current wardrobe. After my color analysis I have about 50% right colors in my wardrobe😅
One thing to keep in mind is that when we break the rules of what naturally looks good on us, we end up looking more alternative instead of elegant. That is why most alternative styles include black - black doesn’t suit many people. It’s all about the effect you want to create. I bring this up because you said you prefer chunky necklaces, even though dainty ones are recommended for you - this might be why!
I'm not a strong believer in the rules of color analysis (especially based on seasons). I think sometimes they have bad implementations of colortheory or are too strict in their applications. (I would love to see someone visit several different professionals and see if they say the same things). However I am very impressed by the service she provided. I love that she gave you a whole detailed book and on top of that provided you with easy to use flashcards. That is really wonderful and helpful. I would love to see you style outfits based on the information you got here and see how you feel about them.
Yeah I was really impressed with her service and felt she was very considerate about emphasising that you can still make other colours work for you etc!
same i always wonder if bias towards certain colors can affect the way each color analysis person perceives what looks better or worse on people. i do assume they probably have an eye for these sort of things tho, especially over time and practice, but the skeptic in me is always wondering how the result can vary from person to person. i'd love to see someone go to multiple color analysis from different people like you said.
I think the best way to look at it is just as information, not a value judgment. I mean, maybe certain colors make you look more "washed out" and if you want to look "lively" then you will avoid those, but if you want to look more "goth" for instance, you might want to use the "washed out" colors to achieve your desired effect. The same for if you like looking "dramatic" or "soft" or "natural" you can learn which colors can do those things for you, so it's not so much about what the particular "best colors" are, but learning what effect different colors have on your look, and then using that information to curate your personal style more effectively. I hope that made some sense...
I understand this as "these colors make you look more attractive in a conventional way". I'm an art graduate and the color theory is simply undeniable, but it has to add up to your personal expression. I'm clearly a summer person, and pastels, pink makeup, girly stuff... makes me look "less cohesive". My color palette is golden, brown, and orange. While I love it, I'm such a rainbow lover and I can't help wearing every damn color that exists. On the other side, I have some features (f.e dark and obvious under eyebags) that conventional beauty standards always try to hide. But, oh boy, how cool and mysterious I look when I use them as a part of my character! The info provided is useful, but use it as part of the dressing up game!
Art graduate too and color was always my favorite element to mess with. Color Theory was one of my fav courses in college lol. Granted it wasn't exactly like this since it was more for Fine Artists, but yeah when I first heard about Color Analysis, I was definitely interested. I've tried figuring out my season, but one day for sure I definitely want to get a professional's opinion. My best guess is that I am a soft summer because I tend to look better in softer and muted colors, but I'll still wear the whole rainbow too. The only color I avoid for the most part is a pumpkin orange color, if it's dominant at least for I do have 2 shirts with soft orange color on them (but they're mostly peach). Fav colors to wear are lighter blues, teal, dusty rose, lilac, and soft pink. I also love wearing my alumni colors from my HS and University (HS is royal blue and University is a cardinal red).
ngl i thought colour analysis were kind of a gimmick but this was so comprehensive and helpful. if i ever find myself in korea, i'm have to go here. also i always thought you looked good in light wash denim, no wonder !
yeah I know what you mean, i was kinda iffy on it at first too but it was actually a really cool experience!! ahh I need to start wearing light wash denim more!!
Her analysis is so impressive, and she's definitely right because I found myself thinking these same colors suited you best ever since I started following you. I would love to get to do that as well, maybe if I get to Korea one day! I can't wait for a vid where you create looks out of her recommendations, if you plan to do it. Hachi vibes all the way!
The way I see colour analysis is that it’s great to use if you can’t be bothered to put much effort into your appearance, like if I cba to put on any makeup I can wear something that makes me look all radiant anyway. That’s how I’ve been using it since I got my colours done! I’m a true autumn btw
I like how she explained the effect of each color. But what looks better is very subjective. I tend to like the "bad" shades whenever I see these color analysis videos, I'm just into a harsh/sickly leaning look (I blame that on the popularity of vampires during my teenage years)😂
I love that she did makeup and hair too, that’s amazing! For me, I wear all black all the time, but I’d find this a fun experience, particularly for the makeup and hair stuff because I like to experiment with that
OMG I LOVE these kinds of fashion tests! I know we're supposed to be like "F the rules Imma do me!" but I'm autistic and decisions are incredibly difficult for me. Having these sorts of ridiculously detailed rules/suggestions is PERFECT for being able to clear out my closest which is what I'm literally officially going to do by colour right now. Where's my Light Spring dominated by Saturation fam at?! 🙏 ❤
I’ve seen numerous personal color videos (both short and long form) and this is probably the only color analysis video that I have seen that I can actually see the differences and understand what to look for based on what the specialist said!
@@pliktl i mean you can use the words you want, read it as "opinions" if you want. but saying "this color makes you look washed out" or "these are your worse colors" or "this color looks great on you" or "these are your best colors" is a judgment. this person is paid to judge a set of colors on a person and give that opinion.
oh this was so interesting! and brave - i don't think i could handle being told that some of the colours i wear are actually the worst for my complexion hahahaah :') but like you said i feel like is isn't something you need to necessarily take super seriously - regardless i would love to see you try and style some outfits in your recommended colours!!
Yes to a part 2! And would love to hear to see your takes for a look book and vibes for the different seasons, similar to your zodiac signs video (although I know this is an old reference!). One of things I heard is color analysis falls into personal style of harmonizing with your natural features but not to forget that there's also "essence" which is one of the systems for expressing who you are on the inside. The essence system itself is pretty limited in the personas it has and you have such a strong and well defined personal style so you don't need that system but more of a reminder that color analysis is meant to supplement rather than define personal style. You can keep recommended colors close to your face for the synergy of those colors against your skin tone and still keep your personal style for the rest (like wearing a black jacket open vs closed and anything goes for bottoms!) to get best of both worlds. (also I guessed light spring -- you look especially radiant in light warm colors!)
This was so fun to see! I'm glad you aren't letting it dictate your choices going forward, but it is cool to be equipped with the knowledge. I can see the application being useful if you want to look "more awake" after not sleeping well or something. Would like to see a video where you make outfits based on these colors, but I just love your content in general!
I'd love a video where you try to style with these recommendations in mind!! As a side note, I think your current variety in style is amazing and suits you in a way that makes the colour matching irrelevant. Being able to wear clothes that represent who you are on the inside is kind of like the holy grail of fashion and expression imo.
I do really appreciate that this color analysis system didn't require you to be blonde to be a "light" season! And I think the warm pastels do really suit you, when you want to go for that kind of look.
I think you do a great job of wearing colours that aren't your season to create an effect. I think thats why the words you use to describe your style were matched with bolder colour palettes on her sheet, but by contrast with your features the colour palette that you wear most seems strong and bold on you without being overpowering, when on other people it's quite soft and subdued. Definitely keen to see how you incorporate some of these softer colours and styles she recommended!
got this notification at work and was sooo excited to go on lunch and watch it. so interesting!! and your editing + narration is amazing as always, super informative. gotta get myself to colorwings 😭
That's so cool !! I always thought it was a bit of a gimmick but you could actually see it in your video. When she draped the darkest shade on you I was like "uh uh yep that's not it" !! As everyone else I want - no, I NEED- a part two. with everything, like curly hair, makeup, clothes etc. That actually would look so cute on you. I also really imagine you with a pastel orange dye like you showed! But I agree with your ending comments, it's good to know your colour but it's more important to have fun with fashion and wear the colour we like, whereas it "compliments" your skin or not
I thought she did so good with identifying you’re colors! I would love to get an analysis like this, it’s so hard to find color analysis for woc here in the states
Honestly color analysis has given me a complex about the colors that I wear! I’m always second guessing myself now and I have zero idea what my ideal colors are!
yay I guessed light spring right! What a cool experience, it seemed one of the most thoughtful color analysis I've seen in videos like this. It makes me wanna go. It's interesting you find that warm colored lipstick make your teeth look more yellow when usually is cool tones which will bring up the yellow by contrast, for example I find that when I'm wearing very cool shades of pink or red 🤔 I would love a video where you try to style outfits in those new colors, it seems like a fun challenge.
A video suggestion-you should absolutely do a look book inspired by female survivalist horror game protagonists (ex. Resident evil, silent hill, fatal frame, etc)
What I've learned about color analyses are it's really about narrowing down the shades that look most flattering against your face. It can be helpful for people who don't know where to begin.
Has anyone ever noticed how a hugely disproportionate number of clients going to Korea get typed as a LIGHT SPRING?!! Dark-toned, light-toned, all sorts of people are magically a light spring. It's really strange to me, I think they are really biased to those colours for some reason - maybe it's that pastel vibe. As for your colour analysis, I watched it twice - here's my take. First thoughts - immediately loved your pink hair, gray headphones and overall aesthetic. You're giving off very creative vibes and seem to present yourself well via your style, so that's awesome. Even in the digital colour analysis, you SHINED in the summer drapes. Not necessarily light summer - maybe cool sunmer - but summer nevertheless. On to the draping: • silver to me looked more harmonious than gold • champagne gold is way better, cuter, more "you" than the yellow • the very first light spring warm drape was not HORRIBLE or anything, but made you look just the tiniest bit yellow and washed out compared to the cool drape • the bright orange was absolutely horrid, compared to that, the magenta was a RELIEF. It was so obvious. It literally made me angry hearing her say "orange is better than pink" 😭😭😭🤬 HOW. And obviously, from this point, it went downhill 😢 • I don't agree with many things said from that point onward and it's actually upsetting to watch. The colours are just so washed out, pale and wrong. Not at all your "best and most vibrant" look. Seeing that snapshot into your other video, wearing a blue skirt and surrounded by summer colours (pink chair, blue and lavender details etc..) was SUCH a relief, it showed your true energy, vibe, aesthetic; i mean girl, you've already got it!! Don't let yourself get washed out by this Light spring BS 😭 Also, teeth looking yellow in "your" colours is a HUGE red flag! With your correct colours, your teeth will naturally look whiter. Conclusion: you're a very beautiful and energetic person who does not match with this washed out colour analysis result AT ALL. I'm surprised I'm not seeing more comments about this. And in my opinion, you're probably a cool summer. If you ever get curious again, I'd love to see you do a colour analysis in a different country (Europe or just outside of Korea) and I swear that it's gonna be different. I'm a bit of a colour freak, so sorry for the rant! 💜
Hi! The YT algorithm brought me here. Great editing - was good to see the differences side by side. It would be good to see a "dressing in my color palette" vid for a week, to see how you feel about it. And yes, if you're a light spring + soft/ muted autumn, low contrast outfits are recommended (colors beside each other on the color wheel). Btw just a tip: put #coloranalysis or #colouranalysis in this vid or other vids that you will make which is related to it, so that it will be picked up by the algorithm = more views. The analyst provided a very good/ comprehensive service. Thanks for the vid!
i love the note you left on! it's so true that maybe finding out where you fall in this theory could you try on colors you might've deemed boring or not for you before. beiges and light greys also aren't my favorite, even white, cuz I'm a serial stainer and i know for a fact i will ruin a piece in those colors so i just don't even get them. plus i love more vibrant colors. but finding out something like this might be the push to give them a chance. either that or reaffirm my belief that more bright hues suite me better lol.
I felt so self conscious, at the beginning when you were just making an “mmm” sound to everything , I do that every time I am in Asia; so easy to pick up the habit 😅
Maybe its just because im more darkly inclined and alternative but the effect that your "bad" colors have are more what Im after personally, lol. I like the contrast and my more deepset eyes being enhanced, idk. I wanna look a little dead, sickly victorian orphan style, lmao 💀 As an artist i do see where its coming from color theory wise but sometimes i think people get a little overzealous with it. I do find these videos interesting though, i really liked your approach to it! Great vid!
I do think for lip colours, colour analysis doesn’t take into account the default lip colour of the person; darker skinned people would have darker lips, some people have more pink, purple lips so you should take into account your bare lip colour as well
This was a great and insightful vlog - thank you 😊 I am planning a trip to S.Korea next month! Did she also check which pattern looks good on you, large or small squares , floral, etc? Did she also check which neckline suits you best?😅
*Sees the price in USD* That's A LOT cheaper than here in the USA wow. In my neck of the woods (I live in South Central Texas near San Antonio), there is a color analyst here and the price is almost $200 more. I am legit gagged. How long was your actual session because that might have something to do with the price, but I am curious?
I didn't finish the video yet but my guess is light summer or light spring. I can't tell if your are warm or cool bc your skin has pink in it wich is usually cool toned but you have green eyes wich is warmer so...🤷🏽♀️
I don't know if it's the phone or the video but when she held the silver up... I was sure you were gonna be cool tone and summer, cause I thought it looked really good. A lot of times people have a warm overtone butt cool undertone and as far as this usually goes it's the undertone that matters. I do think pastels look amazing on you but I was thinking cool pastels a summer palette... I wish I could see it in person because I definitely have an eye for color. I've seen a lot of people cover the hair I wonder if the hair was throwing her. I only read the top few comments ..don't know if anyone else saw what I saw.
I don’t put a lot of serious stake in color analysis, but it IS fun 😂! Like horoscopes, but for your fashion! I’d like to see a styling video, I also think it’d be fun to see styling with your supposed “worst” colors, or a mixing of the “best” and “worst” after just the “best” for comparison. If it’s about what’s close to your face, wouldn’t that mean the bottom can be anything? Super curious!
i would love to go to a colour analyst but im a goth who only wears black or very strong/dark colours, and only silver jewelry and heavy makeup so idk what the point would be lol - imagine if they told me im the opposite to what i love to wear the customer service looked amazing tho i rlly think you got ur moneys worth
Please do a part two where you try out the stuff you learned today❤❤❤

• the bright orange was absolutely horrid, compared to that, the magenta was a RELIEF. It was so obvious. It literally made me angry hearing her say "orange is better than pink" 😭😭😭🤬 HOW. And obviously, from this point, it went downhill 😢
• I don't agree with many things said from that point onward and it's actually upsetting to watch.
Don't let yourself get washed out by this Light spring BS 😭
Also, teeth looking yellow in "your" colours is a HUGE red flag!
part 2 please! this was so informative!!
Those colors really do look good on you🥰💕
would def love a part 2!! this was so fun, i also guessed soft summer at first; guess we were both wrong lol
Thanks for the vid!
this looked like so much fun!!
this was super interesting to watch, and I could really see the differences :D
i love her english accent ❤
i love the note you left on! it's so true that maybe finding out where you fall in this theory could you try on colors you might've deemed boring or not for you before. beiges and light greys also aren't my favorite, even white, cuz I'm a serial stainer and i know for a fact i will ruin a piece in those colors so i just don't even get them. plus i love more vibrant colors. but finding out something like this might be the push to give them a chance. either that or reaffirm my belief that more bright hues suite me better lol.
thanks so much for the video-it was so informative and fascinating to watch
thank u for sharing the process and for all the details!!
Ok wow the part where she showed how one color made your chin look shorter blew my mind
I felt so self conscious, at the beginning when you were just making an “mmm” sound to everything , I do that every time I am in Asia; so easy to pick up the habit 😅
I love these kinds of videos💕
Maybe its just because im more darkly inclined and alternative but the effect that your "bad" colors have are more what Im after personally, lol. I like the contrast and my more deepset eyes being enhanced, idk. I wanna look a little dead, sickly victorian orphan style, lmao 💀 As an artist i do see where its coming from color theory wise but sometimes i think people get a little overzealous with it. I do find these videos interesting though, i really liked your approach to it! Great vid!
This is so thorough! Totally worth the ~$80 I think.
i loved it! would love to get my own color analysis
I do think for lip colours, colour analysis doesn’t take into account the default lip colour of the person; darker skinned people would have darker lips, some people have more pink, purple lips so you should take into account your bare lip colour as well
Omg I want to get this done SO BAD
This was a great and insightful vlog - thank you 😊 I am planning a trip to S.Korea next month! Did she also check which pattern looks good on you, large or small squares , floral, etc? Did she also check which neckline suits you best?😅
I would love to see a Video on dressing like your color palette just to see it
Wow I would looove to have this done!! ✨
My guess at the beginning is true summer bc of the clarity and cool lightness
Light spring makes so much sense!!!
I can't tell if your are warm or cool bc your skin has pink in it wich is usually cool toned but you have green eyes wich is warmer so...🤷🏽♀️
i’m subbing to you for this
But that makes no sense because the sister palette of spring light is summer light. Spring light and autumn muted aren't connected at all
I don't know if it's the phone or the video but when she held the silver up...
I'd love to get this done but my entire wardrobe is red and black as well as my hair, I'd be left with nothing if it turns out red wasn't for me
Part 2 pretty please! 💖
I was today years old, when I fund out you are of polish descent. Nice~
Wow this is amazing, I’d definitely go to get tested
Awww that’s Ashley from Ladies Code at 10:45 10:46 on the right
part two please!!!
11:27 I feel like certain outfits cAll for chunky jewelry, some minimal dainty jewelry, and some both
I am going to go with Clear Spring? That is my guess! :)
Super curious!
i would love to go to a colour analyst but im a goth who only wears black or very strong/dark colours, and only silver jewelry and heavy makeup so idk what the point would be lol - imagine if they told me im the opposite to what i love to wear
the customer service looked amazing tho i rlly think you got ur moneys worth
