I think a lot of cool tone girlies were roped into the whole warm tone trend. Even now, gold jewelry is more popular than silver haha. I'm afraid to get an analysis because I don't want to be told I'm anything but an autumn lol
This was popular over 25 years ago and I had mine done and I was/am a vibrant autumn. Basically all the autumn fall colours plus purple. I love purple so was very pleased about that. I still wear other colours now but mostly drawn to autumn colours. Wear what makes you feel good. X
I still remember when you did your monochromatic Colourpop reviews. You really stood out when you did the ones like In A Trance and Mint to Be. That was probably a sign 😂 We are both summer mutes, which explains now why a lot of your makeup recommendations work for me too. Guess I will follow your recommendations more closely now 🥰
i totally get when people say personal colours being a over hyped concept and is just personal preference, but there's reasons why the analysis is usually done bare faced. a lot of the time when a certain colour tone makes you look dull/pale/sickly or makes your blemishes more apparent, when you wear makeup that can usually be fixed/covered up. there's always a way to make everything work, it's just is easier to dress according to your best suited season so you don't need the extra effort to "fix" what comes with the colours less suited to you
You look so good in cool tones. I'm so jealous because I look dead with cool eyeshadow 😭 but I think your makeup skills are so good that no matter the colour, you can pull of any colour!!!
It's cool that she talked about your essence which is like a key point to getting styling and make up. Most people have up too 3 essences. i'm a romantic body type and I am a deep winter or cool winter. I always looked good when I was younger with silver, then light gold or rose gold.
That's so different in that system that she'd call an autumn season opposite summer soft. In most western systems (12 seasons overall(, the opposite would be bright spring. Maybe it's about your lightness coming through a bit more than your softness? I do love how in Korea there's zero compunction about people with dark hair being light seasons. But western systems always encourage you to keep your natural hair color!
that was my assumption of how she came to my worst colours! she didn't specific in detail how we got there. but yes i can see western and eastern colour analysis is different!
I thought you'd either be spring or summer, but also let me say... ive never seen a video that so clearly shows the difference between the colors... like I could clearly visually see it so kudos for the filming setup!
I’ve only watched your vids for the past 2 years, but based on your color preferences for your wardrobe and certain makeup products (ex EM Cosmetics Chiffon So Soft Blush), I always thought you were a summer!
ooh thank you for this breakdown of color analysis! i didn't know that it's not just about what colors look good on you, but also what colors match your vibe and your aura which makes it seems extra personal!
Wow! It makes sense that you're a summer looking back, but I always thought you were a bright spring because in my mind dark hair and pale skin equals high contrast and a lot of warm peachy colors suit you in make-up, and a lot of teals which I always think of as a spring color because it's a warmer blue but it makes sense looking at all the swatches against you.
I recently got professionally tested of my personal colors, physique type, and face type in Japan!! (Bc I’m Japanese) I went back to see ur color analysis video after I got tested and I’m surprised u were a soft summer girlie!! I’m a light summer, straight physique, and feminine girlie!! I knew I was summer bc I got professionally tested once before, but I didn’t get it in 12 seasons so it was very cool! And I’m into 1930s~40s vintage fashion so the colors matches perfectly💖 I barely see any light summer ppl where are u😭😭😭 I think physique type and face type analysis is specifically made by a Japanese person so if u plan to visit Japan next time, consider taking these tests professionally bc it’s so interesting!!
Giiiirlll, in 2016 I've got into korean makeup when all of the warm and peachy colors were trending and I wanted to wear them so much. And I did. I was also wearing brownish and beige colors on my clothes. All the time something felt off and I couldn't figure out what. It's just this year that I started to discover that I'm actually cool toned, and I assume I'm winter 😭
You are definitely a cool tone, esp when you look exceptionally good in icy blues and purples!!! Although, I will say, idk what it is with Korean personal color consultants and their love for typing everyone as a cool tone. I got summer mute when I’m clearly spring bright?, tested at different consultants (i went to the Japanese and French consultants as part of my company event). My friend who went with me to the Korean place also got summer mute. Girlie is autumn deep. We went to cocory and they kept pushing us to get our hair dyed to our personal color recommendations at their affiliated salon lol.
hi! i don’t watch a lot of youtube so i’m not up to date with all of your videos, but when i do watch something on youtube it’s mostly your videos! you are my favourite youtuber and definitely the most trusted one! you also give off the girls girl vibe and i love it.
same as u judy, had the biggest shock of my life too when i did my colour analysis. i was so sure i was a warm girlie, but turns out i was a summer mute/cool tone girl!!!
This was interesting to hear you explain and talk about! I remember commenting a long time ago on one of your old videos where you always wore warm tones, saying how I think you should try cool tones! Look at you now!! 💞 The colors that suit you makes so much sense.
Color analysis is so interesting to me. I would like to get it done sometime. This was the most extensive I’ve seen done. So that’s cool. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Judy!! I’ve been following you forever for your thorough makeup reviews and largely because we have the exact same skin tone so I can always rely on your swatches. BUT it always confused me how you LOVE warm tones but no matter how I tried warm makeup, it could never look good on me (even if I follow ur tutorials using the same palettes). I actually suspected you have olive skin like mine, which is often mistaken as “warm toned skin” because our closest shades of foundation on shelves are named warm.. but olive is a separate category itself. ANYWAY your analysis verdict and your vid was so satisfying to watch and to finally know what your colours are!
Before this vid came out, I spent a good hour thanks to Dear Peachy’s thorough af vid to find my colour analysis and mine is true summer! So I thought your result made a lot of sense it was so close to mine :)
this is such a fun process. i always knew i was warm toned, but i was more into really bright spring makeup... turns out im an autumn mute!!! LOL i only got away with it because i used to dye my hair with rainbow colors (and tbh i looked really cute) now that i know my personal color, its so much easier to do my makeup, buy clothes, etc. i still wear colors outside my palette tho, some colors are just too fun to keep out of my life. especially bc autumn mute colors are not that fun, theyre more cozy
I can definitely see how you’re cool toned. I got some cool toned palettes based on your recommendations and the colors didn’t look as flattering on me as they do on you. Color analysis is so cool! Can’t wait to get mine done
You kinda gave it away when you went light on the peach for the peach fuzz video. From my experience as some sort of autumn most versions of peach give me a warm glow and really blend into my skin
You can really tell your type with the drapings, wow. I also got a Korean colour analysis (by a Korean woman in Vancouver, Canada) and was typed a soft spring.
I think you are a Cool Winter. I also thought I was a warm toned. I then did a color analysis online (I didn't feel like traveling), because I tried a cool toned look and I thought I looked so much better. Turns out I'm a Dark Winter :O. I think a lot of were convincing ourselves to be warm toned because of trends and what people think a certain race has complexion wise.
I actually liked the summer light colors on you over the summer mute? I think because they’re a bit brighter on you and sort of give off a peppier vibe?? lol. I think the mute colors suit you very well tho too ☺️. I definitely think the makeup you put on would sort of change up what tone you would look like according to your season :). I think ever since you did the stone cold fox palette review and looks a couple years ago with that ash gray Smokey eyeshadow, I knew you were cool toned haha. This was so interesting and fun to watch ☺️🫶🏻🫶🏻💗
Welcome to the cool/soft summer family! I’ve been following you for a long time now and I got color draped last summer and have been wondering if you are a summer like me 😂glad to know I was right!
I study in Korea and I got my personal color analysis too. I was so sure that I was warm, because my skin is very yellow. I know that I am not autumn, because those colors make me look dull. I thought I was spring warm... but then she told me that I am summer cool light. She even explained in detail why the more yellow you are, the more likely you are a cool-toned girl. She told me that as soon as she saw me, she knew that I was a cool tone. Still couldn't believe it, but I got it now, I can see it. It's a very fun experience!
Interesting. I have a pretty strong yellow undertone, but am a Warm Spring. I wonder if its bc my skintone depth is light-med. I look good in cool colors, but only certain ones.
I've determined I'm primarily a Warm Spring and secondarily a Dark Autumn. Glad u explained the whole process bc being "cool toned" doesn't mean someone looks bad in all warm tones. I have a warm, yellow undertone. Based on what I gravitate to and what I've tried and liked, I look good in most warm colors, but only in certain cool and neutral colors. On the warm side, some of my warm colors are brownish reds, yellows (but not mustards in clothing 🤷🏻♀️), warm greens, oranges/peaches, corals, and warm whites. On the cool side, for clothing at least, I look good in most pastels and light aquas. For both clothing and eyeshadow, cool pinks, royal blues, navy, blurples, and lavenders look great. I also think I look better in cool tones when I tan bc cool whites and light greys start to look really good on me - they pop on my skintone more vibrantly. On the neutral side, black, kelly green, and royal blue are good. I watched a few vids for determining one's seasonal color and found some are conflicting, outdated, or don't explain stuff well. The color analysis vid by Mikaela Carrizo is the best I've found so far. Also, there's a UA-camr @thealignedlover who has made color analysis vids specifically for women of color.
Honestly, I think you’re a neutral, because I always assumed you were a Spring. I love cool tones on you, but you look amazing in oranges/ warm greens too! I think when you’re pretty like you, you look great in everything! ☺️
I think a lot of cool tone girlies were roped into the whole warm tone trend. Even now, gold jewelry is more popular than silver haha. I'm afraid to get an analysis because I don't want to be told I'm anything but an autumn lol
HAHA yes i think alot of us were!
I always felt grey smokey eyes and cool pinks really suited you.
i was blinded by all the warmness
This was popular over 25 years ago and I had mine done and I was/am a vibrant autumn. Basically all the autumn fall colours plus purple. I love purple so was very pleased about that. I still wear other colours now but mostly drawn to autumn colours. Wear what makes you feel good. X
this exactly!
@@j.uuuuudy No not exactly. It did colours that suited me skin tone to wear clothes and makeup.
I still remember when you did your monochromatic Colourpop reviews. You really stood out when you did the ones like In A Trance and Mint to Be. you are too kind T___T
It's cool that she talked about your essence which is like a key point to getting styling and make up. Most people have up too 3 essences. i'm a romantic body type and I am a deep winter or cool winter. I always looked good when I was younger with silver, then light gold or rose gold.
Just so you know you can have up to all 7 essences if getting typed by John Kitchener but most people only talk about the top 3 :) hope it’s helpful !
That's so different in that system that she'd call an autumn season opposite summer soft. In most western systems (12 seasons overall(, the opposite would be bright spring. Maybe it's about your lightness coming through a bit more than your softness?

I really thought she's a bright spring from thumbnails with makeup on, but without makeup i can see why she's not high contrast

im a summer soft too! hope you can do more summer soft videos :)
Welcome to the cool/soft summer family! I’ve been following you for a long time now and I got color draped last summer and have been wondering if you are a summer like me 😂glad to know I was right!
Where did you get your pink miffy plush that’s in the background it’s literally so cute 😭
my friend got it for me as a gift so im unsure!! maybe off aliexpress u could fine something similar!
You can see how obvious it is even in the thumbnail! Looking forward to seeing your next video comparing the colors.
Ive come to terms that im definitely naturals and warm, but i got a green undertone so its messes with me all the time
If you have green undertones, that means you're an olive undertoned girlies 😅 I hope you can find the perfect shade for you though!
I study in Korea and I got my personal color analysis too. I was so sure that I was warm, because my skin is very yellow. I know that I am not autumn, because those colors make me look dull. This looks like it’s really useful info!
I think you definitely can rock both 💯
I always thought I was warm toned, but turned out I´m a winter all the way. Changed my colors and I´m like a new person now lol
literally me HAHA
I've determined I'm primarily a Warm Spring and secondarily a Dark Autumn.

Eek❤ We both have the same tone🎉🎉 You helped me a lot in picking my make up color and now it all makes sense
Really want to have mine analysed too 😭😭
how do you do your hair your hair is so cute omg
I think you still look good in black clothes though. Too many pastels would make me feel like a child LOL
I know you look great in white, so I guess winter.
Soft summers unite!
Honestly, I think you’re a neutral, because I always assumed you were a Spring. I love cool tones on you, but you look amazing in oranges/ warm greens too! I think when you’re pretty like you, you look great in everything! ☺️
I thought you are a cool tone girl since I first found you haha
I think you’re a bright winter! ❄️
That's bc she tends to wear high contrast lip colors but you can see without makeup on she doesn't have high contrast features
Twinning! ❤
I’m guessing cool spring before watching purely based on the spring dragon palette 😅 but I think you look good in everything so what do I know! 🥰
❤🙋🏼♀️
JUDY!!!!!! I ALWAYS KNEW YOU WERE COOL TONED!!!!!! U LOOK FUNNY IN WARM TONES!!!!!! BUT BEAUTIFUL IN COOL COLORS!!!!!❤❤❤❤
thank you? HAHA
I would guess you're a winter just due to the high contrast.
That's bc she tends to wear high contrast lip colors but you can see without makeup on she doesn't have high contrast features
@@donotreply8979 the contrast I was speaking to was her hair and skin tone. But I think she mentioned that her hair isn't that black in real life.
