My hubby, who isn’t too keen on Korean cooking, loved it so much. When you say you feel like you are always eating bimambop, I feel like I am always making tteokbokki. We are our second wave of the “rona”. So we are pretty locked down now. Loved taking a walk with you.
omg. this video brings back memories. I went there 2 years ago, travelled solo. took an overnight plane, landed incheon almost midnight. took the night bus to Express bus terminal.and waited for the 1st bus to Gwangju. Stored my big backpack in Gwangju bus terminal locker (thank you Good Heavens for that) then headed straight to Boseong. The place is really beautiful. The big trees @ the entrance, i think stayed there for half an hour, taking picture, admiring the tall trees and taking in all the calmness that it gives. And i hiked as well, with those stairs. I am happy you get to see the sea up there. i wish you were able to find the Bamboo forest there. ithink it was on the left side, after those big tall trees. there is a small trail going there. a lot miss that trail. i wish i could go back to korea soon. this is the time of the year that I should be in Korea. Covid please go away. ps. can you introduce me.to.your.friend. I am crazy about walking too. hahaha

I didn't know if Arizona had anything to do with pine trees. Pine trees are very common in South Korea. In fact, the pine tree is a symbol of our tradition and culture. The interesting thing I know is that the Korean pine tree is the most expensive Christmas decoration tree in North America or Europe.🐻
Adding that to my list of places to visit when I’m in Korea... man, I *really* hope covid doesn’t screw up my plans. If all goes well I’ll be living and going to school in Seoul for about 4 months.
@@oliviam469 I haven’t applied yet! I’m not going IN 4 months, I’m going FOR 4 months. If I’m allowed to go (because of covid 😔) then I’ll most likely go from about February 2022 to June 2022. I think the only Korean university my school really has ties with is Ewha, but who knows, there might be more opportunities. Where did you apply then? :)

we're about to go back in lockdown here in France, and as a nurse working in ICU it's been pretty stressful too. One of my relatives is from Damyang, so I've been to Damyang a few times. It was a fantastic experience to walk through the bamboo forest there. Above all, we got a lot of bamboo shoots there. lol And the food in Damyang is awesome. The bibimbap there is great!🌝
The Korean countryside is def on my list! I've also seen vlogs where one biked from Incheon to Busan. I kinda want to do that, but I'm not sure if I have the stamina lol.

I live in HK now, but when I first came, I was also amazed by the strength that bamboos had to be made into scaffolding. What is even more incredible is that the bottom parts of the bamboos where they touch the ground are shaved pointy... It's almost like the bamboo scaffolding is standing on tiptoe... it's unbelievable haha. And the shot where you looked up to the sky and captured how the bamboos were swinging back and forth just reminded me of Ang Lee's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. It's incredible how we have various associations of bamboos! Traveling definitely stimulates the brain :D

That tea farm is a personal favorite of my friends and I. We plan on going back again this year. So glad you had the opportunity to visit and to share it with others. More people need to know it and appreciate it.

One of my relatives is from Damyang, so I've been to Damyang a few times. It was a fantastic experience to walk through the bamboo forest there. Above all, we got a lot of bamboo shoots there. lol And the food in Damyang is awesome. The bibimbap there is great!🌝
The Korean countryside is def on my list! I've also seen vlogs where one biked from Incheon to Busan. I kinda want to do that, but I'm not sure if I have the stamina lol.

I live in HK now, but when I first came, I was also amazed by the strength that bamboos had to be made into scaffolding. What is even more incredible is that the bottom parts of the bamboos where they touch the ground are shaved pointy... It's almost like the bamboo scaffolding is standing on tiptoe... it's unbelievable haha. And the shot where you looked up to the sky and captured how the bamboos were swinging back and forth just reminded me of Ang Lee's
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. It's incredible how we have various associations of bamboos! Traveling definitely stimulates the brain :D

That tea farm is a personal favorite of my friends and I. We plan on going back again this year. So glad you had the opportunity to visit and to share it with others. More people need to know it and appreciate it.
