I think the point of Jez 'name dropping' Dr Tang is not because Dr Tang is some important person/character but rather by Jez saying 'So I didn't give him the number for Dr Tang...' it shows us that Jez did actually know the name/details of the doctor. That is, it confirms Jez maliciously withheld the information, rather then he just couldn't remeber or didn't know the information.

You've commented on it a couple of times in videos, so let me clear this up: Toni is wearing a qipao, not a kimono. This is because Chinoiserie (literally Chinese-style) was in fashion in the early 2000s. You can see MJ wear the same kind of dress in Spider-Man, also from 2002. She's definitely the kind of character to jump on a bold, faux-bohemian fashion trend so it makes sense for her character, but it's also probably why the American pilots didn't copy this - it was totally passé in 2005. They definitely could have modernised it to incorporate boho-chic instead. You can really picture her in a fur gilet and tiered skirt, lol.

yeah i thought that was weird, two videos he calls it a 'weird japanese kimono thing' where its just like a normal chinese dress, which people wear pretty often, especially around the time the show was made, but would be totally normal now too

They mentioned 'Paul' in the 'Mark's School Report' in the Peep Show script book as his only friend at school. If it's the same one as in this script, maybe they were thinking of bringing him in a Mark's friend [like Super Hans' is for Jez] but dropped that idea when Johnson came along with it's more interesting dynamic.

Writing what peice of music you want in a script is usually a big no-no in screenwriting, so seeing this script doing it so casually with background music was quite bizarre.
Obviously there's the money issue you mentioned. But let's take "Sinnerman" for example. If I hadn't heard Sinnerman, before I even read the first action line I've been taken out of the story. Maybe its different for a final version of a sold script, but I have honestly never seen this before.
