Dr. David Geier hey I tore my acl & meniscus & it’s been 5 months since surgery & I still feel stiffness & it’s been cracking or popping a lot while walking
How long is recovery... really? I was told 6 months but I still feel very fragile now that 6 months is here. Still find myself limping and having pain - especially after sitting. Is 1 year more like it? And if I am worried, should I see a different surgeon or the same one?
@@sethpainter7143 Did you do pt? You did not mention that but since these surgeries normally cause quad lag and other things I hope you did some pt and did not just think the surgery was the end of the issue. Sorry if this is a stupid question but you did not say and from what I understand a good pt is very important after any knee surgery.
I just had my surgery, my meniscus had a lateral tear but the surgeon just made holes around it and said that should be enough for the meniscus to heal itself. But now he's also suggesting prp injections. I would opt for the injections only if I know my meniscus isn't healing on its own but how do I determine that
Biggest mistake of my life was getting knee surgery for meniscus tear on both sides of one knee, didn't even notice the lateral was torn and never suffered any aggravation of the knee whenever running, after surgery it is the lateral which now aggravates me constantly. was told by doctor I would be able to run again within 9 months providing it was slow and gradual with an increase to full capacity after a year, one year and six months on and I have gone from running an average of 95k a week to being incapable of running no more than 2k before the knee breaks down and the pain becomes unbearable. I'm no surgeon but I would advise anybody suffering from tears to not rush in and get surgery but wait and see if it can be recovered with rehabilitation, I rushed in and am not better off. it's actually worse.
Hi! I’ve had a meniscus bucket handle repair 4 weeks ago. For someone that’s always active and works as a personal trainer. This injury was mentally a hell! My doctor couldn’t stress enough about the recovery after the surgery. He kept mentioning that I have to take rest for at least 6 weeks. That means not putting to much pressure on it. Walking on crutches, and never bend the knee more than 90 degree. Even if you don’t feel pain. And to be honest I have kept myself to most of his advice. If I had a financial back up I would have probably done what my doctor said. I don’t feel pain anymore and I am almost back to walking normal again. My physical therapist did some deep tissue massage on my upper leg to keep the muscle working and some electro stimulation. There are times that when I stand to long that I feel some irritation but it’s slowly disappearing. In two weeks I have my second checkup, my doctor will than do some test on me like twisting and bending my leg/knee. Let’s hope for the best. One more thing before I go. If you ever have to go through a meniscus repair keep in mind that you need to have patience! A lot of it!!!
Sam Ame thanks for sharing your experience. Hope your recovery is on track. I too had a medial bucket handle meniscus tear in my right knee and my doctor repaired it. I am 5 weeks out of surgery and my doctor has advise to be on crutches and 50% load bearing. However, in my 5th week I cheated i.e., walked a lot limping without crutches. Now I am getting localized pain on the medial side and concerned that that the repair did not work. Further more, since I am limping and not putting equal weight on the legs, I have muscle pain in my right leg calf. Do you still have localized pain? Did you have pain/soreness in your calf?
I had surgery 14 days ago and it was a very easy minimal pain for the first 6 days and now the pain has me in tears. ..it the kneecap that is the most painful part of my problems. ..it's so painful that I am going to be calling the doctor. ..it's was in agony most of today and I'm not able to walk around like I was. ..am ice and infrared therapy. ..I'm I'm very disappointed that I'm not healing like I was looking forward to. ..maybe I should have been easier on myself instead of trying to be super woman. ..lol..age 66 with RA, crohn's and fibromyalgia. ..and oh...both biceps and rotators torn...failed surgery. ...most painful surgery. ...nightmare
@@anw1986 how are you doing now. i had similar situation and after 5 weeks, I think I have bended my knee more than 90 degrees by mistake and I am having pain.
Im 6 months out after my repair. I am a very active 35F and this whole ordeal has been so depressing. I dont feel good at all 6 months out. How are you doing 10+ months later?
I had a massive bucket handle tear on my left knee which left me a locked knee and unable to put my heel to the floor . I’m 2 months post op after a meniscus repair. So far so good I’m back to work as a plumber mindful of what I’m doing regarding twisting and squatting . A result for me …
Hope sooner recovery for you. I have the same situation. How was your first 6 week. Did you put any weight on your leg? And how was your physical therapy?
@@nessa90 fully recovered the operation was a success which the surgeon said was only a 65% success rate with it being repaired rather than partially removed . I’ve got full movement can do everything I did prior to tearing it Thank you for your question
@@nessa90 yeah do the exercises and don’t do any twisting actions . It was 5 months for me to be confident in fully kneeling and twisting it . Always be mindful of not putting it in that position . Still am now really after 1 year . Hot tub helped me with the supportive squatting getting the full flex back which I have now
I had what the surgeon described as a "massive bucket handle tear" in my medial meniscus repaired in November last year. My rehabilitation was going well until a few weeks ago when I felt a brief sharp pain when I was using the leg press machine (an exercise prescribed by my physiotherapist) and shortly after that I noticed that my knee was catching in certain positions, and then clunking back into place. There's no doubt in my find that this is because the tear has re-opened. I feel that this is the end of the line for me in terms of ever playing sport again, which is hard to come to terms with.
Thanks for asking. Unfortunately, not good: my physio has confirmed that my medial meniscus has re-torn, as I suspected. I'm going to speak to my surgeon about what my options are, but I think my only choice is to have a menisectomy and hope that I can avoid osteoarthritis.
I had multiple partial tears of my left knee, partial tear of my meniscus a year ago, the physician kept dismissing my symptoms. About 3 months ago, I went for a second opinion, I also requested a comparrison MRI since so much time had passed. The physican for the second opinion said he would not have let my injuries go, and would have repaired the tears back then. Needless to say, I ended up having the surgery done almost 3 weeks ago. The first few days I felt nothing (he used a nerve block to help mediate the pain for a few days). After the few days, I noticed my foot was cold, modeled, and was sore and achy, but was up and walking with the knee immobilzer. I hadnt felt this good in a while ( I was not medicated). I took off the teds, because they were hurting me. I actually had to cut them off due to the swelling. At the moment, I still have a lot of swelling, and was told not to bear weight. A lesson learned. I should have made solid plans for someone to care for my dogs, help me cook and clean. The biggest challenge post-op, was the reduction of my ADL's. I hope that no one has to be alone if they have this surgery, it can be overwheing having to do so much by yourself.
Thank you to Dr.David Geier for uploading this fab video. I have been reading all the comments and feel for everyone and totally understand. The mental strain is tough. My doctors nor physio would not help me. All I kept hearing was strengthening exercises. I asked my physio to send me for a MRI he said no I said I’m going to pay for a private one to be done, his reply why waste your money. The verdict was I did go ahead and pay as we all know our own bodies and know when something is not right. I had been enduring a lot of pain and stiffness of the knee with giving way, then the swelling got so bad it wouldn’t go down. The MRI came back that the MCL had torn extruded and truncated and with sign of arthritis and also degenerative. I took these results back to the physio which they then referred me to a surgeon. I’ve had the surgery 10/5/22 the surgeon had sewn trimmed the meniscus. After about 6/8 weeks after surgery I felt like my life was back on track. Then into 4th month I feel like I’m back to where I was before surgery. The swelling hasn’t gone, the pain is starting to get worse. I struggle badly when I get up from bed to walk and when I’ve been lightly walking ie shopping I start to feel sick with pain and after rest when I get up and feel so stiff that I feel like I’m 90. Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been waking in the night a few times a night in pain. It’s ruining my life I’m a post lady and now I’m on zero wages and the mental stress of all this is very tiring. I went back to my doctors and just to be told maybe I should accept that it’s never going to be like before and also maybe I can’t do my job anymore and to be told nothing more we can do for you. When this isn’t true after seeing this video. So thank you.
I had a meniscus bucket tear repair followed by numerous visits to have the excessive fluid drained post 4:35 op 3 x to be exact. It has been one year and I am still in constant pain after the slightest activity and it’s locking again
I had surgery to clean up a torn meniscus tear in my left knee. About a month & 1/2 after the surgery, I felt like I was maybe 80 percent back to normal. Not long after that, I took a turn for the worst and I don't know what happened. Almost 3 months later, I am once again finding it difficult to walk which is interfering with my daily activities. I am scheduled to go back to see the surgeon in just a few days!

Hi! Greetings from South Yorkshire, Uk. I'm new to this pin. Anyway here goes, I had a anthroscopy on the 2nd of July around 5 or 6 weeks ago. I twisted my left knee getting out of a low down Sports car about 4 years ago and after a few steroid injections, I was offered an anthroscopy. Had the op for a lateral meniscus tear on left knee. I have had keyhole surgery where surgeon has flushed the joint out and cartilage trimmed. I am so worried that my knee isn't healing successfully as it is feeling worse now than before. It is clicking and grinding as though there's something catching. This happens when I turn my knee and I find myself helping to lift and move my knee with my hands. My knee still feels stiff when I bend it. I am doing the physio exercises that I have been given. I am seeing the consultant on the 17th of August, so I need to be asking him lots of questions. I am feeling quite miserable at the moment as I was expecting more of an improvement by now. I am wanting to get back to work and walking and cycling. 😢
Me 23 , acl reconstruciton at 18, bucket handle meniscus tear at 20, acl revision and bucket handle menisucs tear at 22, now buckethandle tear again. Currently not consider surgery....😅. Personally have hypermobility syndrome, so without gym to build up the muscle all the surgeries are useless until my muscle can fully support the parts(ligament,tendon...).

Can’t really comment on locking as I’m only partially bending it and walking with crutches. The surgeon had said it was only 50/50 but that he was encouraged by a pink side of the year indicating a blood supply of sorts. Gutted as haven’t been able to do anything now for almost 6 months. HELP needed in Casa Grande, Arizona. I just had a 3rd Meniscus repair that I was told by this Doc was medial. After surgery, I was also told by his partner that they also god rid of some arthritis. What that means, I don't know. I was concerned when I removed the bandages 3 days after surgery and noted this Doc had gone through both sides of the knee with the scope, not just the medial side. He also put one stitch over each of the scope holes with a tough plastic type black thread instead of tape. My knee was badly bruised and had 4 red dots in the middle of the knee where I was later told they gave me shots (of what I don't know). This is my 3rd Meniscus surgery by scope and I have never seen anything like this. This is a small town Dr. near my home as I had to move here to be near my last job as a social worker/counselor on an Indian Reservation. People in town said he was a good Doctor, but I have never seen anything like this. I also threw up for 2 days after surgery and wasn't able to keep anything, even broth down until the 3rd day. I feel this old Doc is old school and I have doubts in my gut about his abilities and competence. Can someone please advise. Who do I report this to? I'm supposed to go back on Friday for a follow up. I don't want this man touching my knee again and it is still oozing yellowish liquid and the bluish/green bruise is spreading.

I had a Meniscus and microfracture surgery to my right knee almost about a year ago , and was on crutches for almost 2 1/2 months, then of course did the therapy for the 3 months 2 to 3 days out of the week as per recommended by my Dr. Then I slowly started walking, and light jogging on my own once I was done with the therapy paying attention to any pain i'd feel to the meniscus repaired knee, if i did i'd stop doing either the walking or light jogging right away....well its been almost a year , and my is question is, if it still hurts from time to time when i exercise could that just be normal, or a failed surgery repair. I've had some people tell that even after years of a meniscus surgery they had there able to do just about any type of exercises but that they still get pain from time to time on their meniscus repair.
I has a partial meniscusectomy for a medial tear on 9-12-22. Now, 7 weeks later, I still have a lot of pain when trying just to walk. When I 1st get up in the morning, its not too bad, but a couple hours into the day, after walking without a cane, the pain is bad enough that I have to go back to using a cane. This tear was a result of mount/dismount of a high seated bicycle for 20 mile morning rides. I am SO discouraged .. I expected to be able to be fully healed & back to regular use of my knee by this time. My Orth. Sur. is supposedly one of the best in NE Ohio. When do I call that TV Ambulance chaser "Tim Mizny" to "make him pay" for screwing up my knee? I've had 2 post op visits & his options were: 1) cortisone shot 2) partial knee replacement ... Neither one sound good to me after all I've already been thru.

I had a meniscus surgery in 2018 , I was told that not only would I be able to walk but actually go back to jogging . This has not only been possible but I also continue to have pain. When I attempt to walk a few blocks or jog, I'm in pain for weeks. I have followed therapy but have not recouped. The last therapist told me that having surgery and have good therapy have very little different results.
Hi doctor David,I have question I had meniscus surgery and cyst removal about a month ago and the last two nights. I was feeling a lot of pain I don’t know what to do I try to go for a walk I couldn’t even do it my pain it was so sharp. Should I worry about that?

It’s been 6 weeks since my surgery I was feeling good no more pain, then suddenly a few days ago bam pain was back and getting worse mind you the severity of my tears were really bad I had 3 tears I don’t think the surgery was successful
Meniscus removal 6 months ago and I continue to have localized pain and swelling. Difficult and painful to walk daily and definitely not for exercise. I do not have locking of the knee.
I’m not sure my repair healed. I had torn MCL and was repaired about 2.5 months ago. Since then it almost feels a little worse. I was told after a week I could get back on my indoor bike and go slowly to get back to what I was doing before. My range of motion took a month before I could fully squat. Now I have this burning throbbing pain on the inside of the same knee and I can actually press on the area of pain and feel it burn. I am also having trouble sleeping at night again like before the surgery. I’m concerned that this didn’t do anything to help or that I somehow hurt it again in some way. I am going to make an appt to go back to my surgeon. What sucks is that I had a second follow up but canceled it because it was feeling pretty good but now here I am. Very frustrating.
Hi Dr David. Thank you for your videos, which I find useful. I had a lateral meniscus repair 12 weeks ago. I was worried about doing it, as I've had multiple surgeries on this knee in the past (including a total synovectomy for PVNS) and the leg is emaciated and weak. I've been in chronic pain with this knee for more than ten years and I saw this surgery as my last hope. 12 weeks on, it is more painful than it was before or at any stage since the surgery. At 8 weeks I thought it was finally improving. Now it's worse than ever. Localized, strong pain around the lateral meniscus area, where the surgery was performed. After my long and debilitating history with this knee, the idea that this surgery has gone wrong genuinely horrifies me. It is destroying my life. The idea of even more surgery is also horrifying. If, in the worst case scenario, it has gone wrong, can I avoid any more surgery and is there a chance that this strong, localized pain will go away with time and that the knee will slowly get somewhere near where it was before the surgery? I had this surgery done in Thailand. There is a language barrier and a seeming unwillingness of the surgeon to recognize the mere possibility that his surgery may not have worked, which is why I am writing to you. I know that for legal reasons you cannot give specific medical advice, but I just need to know if there is a chance that leaving it, resting it, and doing gentle exercises will help, if there are precedents for this. Thank you for any advice.
I got hips arthroscopy surgery to fix my labrum and fix cam and pincer on my hips 8 months ago until now my hips still hurt and my Doctor see still got tear in my labrum but he said it doesn't needs a revision? Is that right? Plus I got knee pain after my hips surgery which until now I'm still using crutches to walk. He take some xrays and MRI he said he doesn't find a tear on meniscus but my knee locked up, , gives away and he told me that if I want he gonna scope my knee. Kind of scared after my hip surgery maybe it doesn't solve the issue again.

I had a meniscus repair done 3 months ago and I still have pain on the inner knee which is where I had before surgery and pain behind my knee which I didn’t have before. But my repair was towards the back of the knee. It was sewn together with several stitches. When should I be concerned? I really can’t go through that recovery process again. I still can’t get back to normal physical activity
I had a complete root tear. They went in and repaired it but there is a slight catch, what seems like tendon pain on the left and right sides behind the knee, skin feels numb from knee to toes, still stiff and unstable when leaning forward. Pain is only about a 2-3 normally. Still swollen and abnormal looking. It's been 5 months since surgery I beginning to think the worst. Any suggestions?

Ok so I had a bucket handle tear of the medial meniscus and had surgery and starting play basketball a little after 5 months, then one day I feel at home and bent my knee almost all the way, I can still straighten and walk but now everytime I go to play basketball after a couple of times of jumping it starts hurting again on the outside why is this???
Hey doc...I had surgery last july for the bucket handle meniscus tear and a torn ligament....now the pain is great at the same place where I'm not sleeping like the surgery never happened...what to do...thank you
Hey Doctor, I just had a repair of ACL and (lateral and medial) Meniscus on right knee almost going on 4 weeks. I noticed I’m in more pain than usual especially on the left side of my right side of my knee. I’m just wondering if I re-injured myself?
I had a Left Knee arthroscopy done in June of 2018, recovery went well for a month until I was in a car accident. After the accident I started having horrific pain in the left knee along with low back pain and hip pain. I could no longer put pressure on my left leg. The doctor injected cortisone to relieve the pain but that did not work, he also drained the fluid 3 or 4 times, finally he referred me to a knee replacement surgeon. 6 months later and with horrific pain I had a new MRI done and the result was I have no Meniscus in my left knee and need a knee replacement. How does that happen? wouldn't the doctor have seen on the arthroscopy photos that there was no Meniscus left after the surgery? Confused and in pain..
Hey doctor i had mine on December 8th 2020 but after 6 weeks start swollen and inflammation above the knee and now little bit pan and it's feel pressure when it bend it the doctor said this normal and that just fluid and tell me to get some pain killer like Advils or lbuprofen and it's really annoying me thanks
I had Meniscus Surgery in August, then again March 1st because it never healed. Second Mri said Buckle Tear, but when he went in he said he didn't see the tear, thought the MRI showed scar tissue. My knee has catching pain along outside of knee down calf. I can't do any lateral moves, and can hardly walk up and down stairs. He now thinks the pain and catching could be from the back. I am so frustrated that I am in pain and can't exercise.
Hello, my name Devon. I had a surgery performed, and a year later Im still not running. My doctor that I go to post surgery never had me go through rehabilitation or anything. The Doctor just started, let your knee be your guide. Im wearing a prescription knee brace and the knee is locking(popping) and swelling/ fluid bulge on the outside of the knee after walking at working. Not sure what to do, but I'm going to see the doctor again in a month or so. What can I do on my own so I can get back to playing sports again? Really frustrated at this point. Thanks for any advice.
Hi Doctor. I had meniscus surgery 1 month ago. they trimmed, not repaired. Things were going well with rehab and I suffered a setback. I hurt myself about 3 days ago and now once in a while after sitting and getting up, it feels like the joint gets off track. Very painful. How much time has to pass before I would have to consider it as a failed surgery?

I had a medial meniscus trim surgery about 11 weeks ago and has not recovered well. A post MRI was done after 5 weeks and showed that the tear was gone but showed inflammation. The Dr gave me a cortisone injection but did not help. I cannot really walk any distance and the pain is very sore to the touch on the medial side where it was when I first came in and had the problem. Anyone have any suggestions if the MRI is showing the meniscus was repaired? Thanks.
I had a tear of lateral meniscus of right knee, meniscus tears of front and back had surgery and 3 years later I'm still having pain daily, cant walk down steps right still too, cant put pressure on my knee. It's been 3 years since surgery
I tore my later left meniscus and had part of it taken out. 8 months later and I still can’t run and the swelling on the side is still there. I’m trying to find stories relatable to mine.
I am an 18 ur old ex baseball player who has now had three meniscus repairs( some being cut out and some being repaired) but now Mayb 6 months after surgery it now hurts again I am almost certain that I will need a cadaver if they have to do surgery again if I was to get the cadaver do u think I will still have knee problems?
Yes I had meniscus surgery I believe it was to trim the meniscus this was because of a injury falling on both knees, my left knee seems better but my left didn't do well I was given some sort of injection in my right knee I'm thinking to help lubricant it but it didn't help now two years later I'm still in pain no longer to work in my profession and on permanent disability if you have any suggestions I would love to hear then thank you

I had my meniscus tear surgery done last year, it never came right still had massive pain 3 months on went back to surgeon, he sent me for another MRI. Told me everything was fine but referred me for another cortisone shot. Worked great but the pain has been coming back now it's extricating. O and when I saw surgeon last he's telling me it arthritis! I'm thinking of getting a second opinion? Any thoughts.
i had a meniscus repair 11 months ago , since that time i had my knee locking 3 times in 11 months , wich is not as bad as it was before , it was like 5 locks a week , i don't know if it failed or not because i got it locked 3 times after the surgury , knowing that after the surgury the doctor told me to avoid walking on that leg for 6 weeks , so it was a bit stiff but with rehab i got full motion of my knee , i can bring my heel to my ass , but i can't sit on my heels any more it feels like it's going to lock again , maybe i am just scared as i didn't sit on my heals since 2 years now i walk normaly i also can run , i can swim without getting it locked , but not bend it and put my body weight on it
Sofiane Berkane It is failed. This time my surgery result also failed. If it's good, there won't be any more locking at all. I did right and left knee ACL and left and right meniscus surgery, on a different occasions. Only the left meniscus one failed, and it just happened like your story.

Ive had double ACL surgery on 2011 and right meniscus debridement back in 2008. All going well. I am 32 now, having meniscus tear on my left knee April 2019. Your not alone, I had 9 sutures put in my right knee 3 weeks ago, been layed up on crutches for 7 weeks altogether. Leg is very weak, using electric stimulation helps alot waking the muscles up, 1 more week non weight bearing and then I start physio. This experience is crippling, I have become completely emotionless from being so very fragile for so long. It's definitely a marathon of patience, I myself have definitely hit rock bottom what seems, but hoping there's nowhere but up from here, just have to focus on that small glimmer of hope to shine a little brighter each day. Bring on 6 weeks if physio soon, good luck to all those in the same position..

Just had my post Operation appointment and I'm losing motion again We decided to drain it and do a Cortisone shot. Right then and of course I got all worked up and had an anxiety attack lol. The doctor prescribed me some valium To try and help with the anxiety . So far so good my leg is actually Starting to feel normal a little bit Actually getting some weight put on it...

I had what the surgeon described as a "massive bucket handle tear" in my medial meniscus repaired in November last year. My rehabilitation was going well until a few weeks ago when I felt a brief sharp pain when I was using the leg press machine (an exercise prescribed by my physiotherapist) and shortly after that I noticed that my knee was catching in certain positions, and then clunking back into place. There's no doubt in my find that this is because the tear has re-opened. I feel that this is the end of the line for me in terms of ever playing sport again, which is hard to come to terms with.
Hopefully that isn’t what happened. Thanks for sharing. Good luck!

Man that's tough, I know how debilitating it is..I really hope things are going better for you now.
How you're doing now?minisectomy also gives good results but not for long term and strengthening your muscles can help a lot!
I had a meniscus bucket tear repair followed by numerous visits to have the excessive fluid drained post 4:35 op 3 x to be exact. It has been one year and I am still in constant pain after the slightest activity and it’s locking again
Sorry to hear that. How is you knee doing now ?

I had no pain with my meniscus tear. Only after the repair.
Same here, going through rehab now. Did yours heal up all good even with the pain?

I’m 5 weeks into a lateral meniscus bucket handle tear repair and the pain has just returned very much the same as it was before. Assuming this means it’s a fail!

Most likely arthritis

Im 40 yo and about a year ago ive had surgery to stitch a wide bucket handle tear after a ski injury. It took a long time about 6 months for the rehabilitation but eventually got back to weight training, cycling and last night was my second jog since the injury. Midway i felt a pop and sharp pain. Ive stopped running and managed to walk back. This morning i can barely stand on my leg and cannot straighten or bend beyond 90 degrees. Waiting for an mri but strongly suspect the stitch didnt hold. Is my only option now to remove it? Is there no artificial meniscus implant alternative?

How are you now 1 year later?
I am 6 months out and not feeling great. I am 35F and this has been terrible over all. I am so worried.
Don’t squat…. I think that’s how I retore mine
Which hospital in Thailand did you have your surgery done?
How are you now? Did the repair heal?

Hey doc...I had surgery last july for the bucket handle meniscus tear and a torn ligament....now the pain is great at the same place where I'm not sleeping like the surgery never happened...what to do...thank you
And the pain is like traveling up my legs and when I walk it seems like it wants to lock up on me...I done all the PT required after the surgery

How old are you?knee replacement in not for young people
Hey doctor i had mine on December 8th 2020 but after 6 weeks start swollen and inflammation above the knee and now little bit pan and it's feel pressure when it bend it the doctor said this normal and that just fluid and tell me to get some pain killer like Advils or lbuprofen and it's really annoying me thanks

Hi Doctor please make a comment Im 60with a torn meniscus. Also I have A stitch that grow under the skin . I had a repair . In the red & white zone . Please share your professional opinion

O and when I saw surgeon last he's telling me it arthritis! I'm thinking of getting a second opinion? Any thoughts.
i had a meniscus repair 11 months ago , since that time i had my knee locking 3 times in 11 months , wich is not as bad as it was before , it was like 5 locks a week , i don't know if it failed or not because i got it locked 3 times after the surgury ,
knowing that after the surgury the doctor told me to avoid walking on that leg for 6 weeks , so it was a bit stiff but with rehab i got full motion of my knee , i can bring my heel to my ass , but i can't sit on my heels any more
it feels like it's going to lock again , maybe i am just scared as i didn't sit on my heals since 2 years now
i walk normaly i also can run , i can swim without getting it locked , but not bend it and put my body weight on it
Sofiane Berkane It is failed. This time my surgery result also failed. If it's good, there won't be any more locking at all. I did right and left knee ACL and left and right meniscus surgery, on a different occasions. Only the left meniscus one failed, and it just happened like your story.

My 2nd surgery went all right I had a catheter For the 1st 4 days that administered a nerve block and deadened my leg that was strange. I have been in A c.p.m Machine At least 6 hours A-day for the last 2 weeks And 5 days a week of physical therapy I also sleep in This thing it just keeps my leg Moving. Just had my post Operation appointment and I'm losing motion again We decided to drain it and do a Cortisone shot. Right then and of course I got all worked up and had an anxiety attack lol.
