Doc good day im En from Philipines i love to play baskeball but everytime i play my knee hurts so bad two three days my friends told me its patela can i stil play
I sprained my ligament in my right knee two years ago playing basketball I landed on it awkwardly try to play through it like I normally do with injuries but with this one I couldn't do it because every time I tried to run my knee buckled but my biggest challenge right now is trying to run and jump again at 100%. But I'm more cautious because I'm worried about re-injuring my knee again so I'm trying to get over that fear but it's kind of hard
So, what do you think of this. About 3 months ago I was literally standing and I felt something give in my left knee,my knee felt strange, not painful but strange. A month went by no pain, swelling stiffness or anything. Then out of no where my knee, the left one, hurts going up and down stairs,so much so that it takes a lot of me bracing myself because of the pain. I know you can't diagnose, but insight would be appreciated.
Aidan, you and I share the same injury. Have you ever looked up "Unhappy Triad"? Those are the 3 things that are destroyed in that event. For some reason, it's much more common in women than men. It was nearly 25 years ago when I blew out my knee. Running between 1st and 2nd with eyes for 3rd as the outfielders chased my hit down to the fence, I never made it to 2nd. I didn't think it was possible to go from running to being dropped like a hot potato and not wanting to move a bit except to breathe through the massive amount of pain. Good luck!
Aidan Mitchell & Survivrs What symptoms did you get with meniscus and acl, was it chronic pain and hardly being able to walk like me. I don’t know what I’ve got yet, awaiting x-ray, but with covid it might be a while. How did you cope, and what helped, because this is worse than toothache, nothing helps. Been to doc, got strong painkillers that hardly touch it, but they knock u out! I’d never have believed this sort of thing possible till now, having to cancel all Xmas plans, I live alone , so there’ll be a lot of tv watching and sleeping.
@@babyblue6743 I have a high pain threshold, but that injury was an entirely new level of pain that I'd never experienced. With your ACL, I believe that you are in a lot of pain. Does your knee feel unstable when you try to walk? I wouldn't be surprised if your injury is a little worse than what you've been told. I would consider getting a 2nd opinion unless you have complete trust in this doctor. Depending on how active you are, I would think that surgery is a probability. The meniscus, once it's torn, is going to cause problems when it gets caught where it's not supposed to be. If your ACL is completely torn, with your symptoms, that also sounds like a surgical fix. My total replacement was in 2014, and I haven't had this much pain free stability since before the initial injury in 1987. Good luck!!
@@survivrs ye it is a very painful thing, but I find when I tie something around the knee, like a dressing gown cord and pull it up towards me I can walk around better. I think it’s more serious than they say. My doctors ok. But my initial injury was in October, never had problems before. Your first injury was in 1987 and you had problems all those years, glad u got it fixed. Thanks for the insight, I know what to expect now, surgery would be the best thing to have.
@@babyblue6743 Well, when I went to the ER right after the injury, the doctor put me in an immobilizer with crutches. I could not bear weight on it even with the immobilizer. My husband still laughs because he sat there and saw what was going on as the doctor had been manipulating my knee, then he began to tell the nurse how cool my cleats were. He had me focused on my stupid cleats and before I knew it, he pulled forward from below my knee and I just about passed out from the pain. That was when he said I needed surgery asap and sent us on our way. It was another two and a half years before having surgery because the first doctor I saw was a quack. Every knee surgeon I've had since him have known exactly what was wrong and what I needed. I've gone through 8 surgeries on that knee. Three reconstructions, 2 scopes, a piece of hardware removed, a partial replacement and finally a total replacement. I went from an athlete to an old lady who couldn't really do anything without worrying about more injuries, even with custom braces. Knee injuries suck so bad.
I have knee pain and I'm good footballer 2 month i don't play ball now I'm feeling good but I'm fearing to feel it again may god bless me and others who are like me
Fell out of a boat onto hard sand & I don’t remember the impact just that I felt like my leg wasn’t connected. We were in a remote location & took 5 hours to get to hospital. Spent 10 days in an Indonesian hospital before being flown home to Australia. Final diagnosis the “Unhappy Triad” complete rupture ACL, MCL & meniscus along with other damage to knee cap & chipped femur. Surgery couldn’t be performed due to an intense sunburn on my leg (didn’t realise how burnt I got waiting for help 😩 too much pain) & high blood clotting history. It’s been 6 months & I still can’t walk properly so waiting on the next approach. Moral of the story thank god for travel insurance.
@@freakboy00769 yeah me to i just hurt it ,i hit it very hard while skating and just a little part is bruised and its swollen a little bit but i literally can't bend it even half way. Can you please tell me what happened to you after because we have a similar injury and i want to know if it healed by itself or how much time it took👍
I tripped on the edge of a sidewalk while running yesterday and landed on my knee. My knee had the most impact, and all of these describe why I gotta go to a doctor. Literally, every reason explains what’s wrong with my knee.
I had surgery for a meniscus tear, and was progressing well. I was walking without my crutches, after a month, doing stairs carefully w/o a problem, and needed very little pain medication. ( My surgery was 11/20/19.) I wasn’t able to recuperate as instructed because my father ended up in ICU, so I stayed with my 83 year old mother for 7 weeks.) While my father was in rehab, I grabbed the opportunity to declutter 3 areas that he would need for home health PT, OT, and speech rx. My last stop was the utility room. I CLEANED OUT, but I had to go up and down a step stool many times. The result is that I’m now in the same amount of pain that I had after surgery, and it’s next to impossible to get an appointment with my doctor because of the holidays. When I spoke with the PA, he wanted me to start wearing my surgical brace, use my crutches, and take pain meds as needed. The original injury was last March while my husband and I were hiking. I hyperextended my left knee and There was a loud pop. Unfortunately, I had to hike back out...my knee was the size of a cantaloupe. I didn’t see a doctor for 2 weeks because I thought ‘’PRICE’ would work. The 1st doctor said it was a strain. I went Colorado with my strain for 3 weeks, and my knee blew up larger than before. Long story short, I ended up getting an MRI, which showed a meniscus tear. Dr. #2 wanted to do a partial knee replacement. Dr. #3 did my surgery 8 months after injury because I’m on Rituxin for RA and SLE. I think there’s something else involved besides the menisci , due to the amount of pain and it’s location. Do you have any ideas?
Thank you Dr Greier for this post. Because you are knowledgeable about sports details, I'm purposely providing a great deal of detail. My situation: Day 1, took a rare (for me) fall on a non-mogul run involving ice that I would normally have just edged through but for some reason lost my edge while skiing. Was able on my own to stand back up and complete the run but had to be cautious. When I fell, it felt like my right knee wobbled back and forth. I'm not sure if my injury is related to the wobble, or if I banged it on the ice, or a little of both. That was of course the last run of a long lay & night of skiing. Next morning: Could walk but with obvious swelling of the above the joint & outer area plus tenderness and slight swelling of the outer-below the joint area. Handled stairs 1 step at a time holding hand rails for minor support. Day 2 after, less swelling but still present, stairs handled with more confidence, able to step down them normal fashion as in one step / opposite foot but felt the need to use the hand rail "just in case". Day 3 less swelling, stairs without feeling the need to hold the rails, opposite feet per step and faster with more confidence and ability to flex the feet more. During these 3 days the only "pain" was on the outer, below the joint, right near the top of the tibia, area. Almost like I might have banged it causing a bruise. Day 4 - 6, got back to walking the dogs who were being neglected. First 1/2 mi and slowly, then 1 mile normal walking speed, then 1.5 mi and a little faster. Fast forward to 2 weeks after the injury and leading up to day 13... 2 mi, fast walk plus .5 mi slow jog. No pain except for very minor outer-upper outside of tibia. Day 14, took back to the slopes. Wore flexible with Velcro securing style above and below the joint knee braces on both the left and right knees as a precaution - no pain except for the very very minor now prev described upper-outer below the joint pain. First 10 runs nothing but carving on green and blue runs. then a couple of runs attempting very tight turns, the type skiers make on flats in preparation for moguls. Feeling confident, started off in an easy manner then built up to hitting the moguls hard, close to competition style speed and aggressiveness and at a medium slope pitch except for about 14 turns of the run which are at a fairly steep but manageable pitch. I felt great, no swelling, full range of motion & being able to compress and extend properly, balance was no issue, everything working, confidence high, actually one of my best days in the bumps...likely partially due to staying mentally in the game with purposeful awareness. The only thing out of the ordinary was that just one time, I hit went through a dip straight ahead of what I would consider a significant u-shape spread over about 10 feet through it with about 4 ft top to trough depth. To negotiate it, when I went from upright in to fully compressed to back to upright, when I hit the trough I heard and felt a POP in the injured knee. Very slight if even any pain associated with it, and it did not stop me from continuing. MY THOUGHT IS, and if you can weigh in to the extend of your legal ability, that I did not tear anything and likely just banged it real good. It's been 2 weeks and 2 days now and the swelling is definitely gone and only a very slight tenderness in the same spot that is betting better daily. am I being overly-optimistic in thinking "No-pain, no need to get it checked out? Thanks.
Bashed the top of my knee into a hard object. Kept making a popping sensation when bending knee, it also hurt really bad, too. Putting pressure hurt a little bit, but I was still able to walk with a limp. My knee would also randomly feel like it would give for a moment when puting pressure on it. After FIVE WEEKS the pain gradually started to go away and I was able to bend it & walk without pain. After 6 weeks my knee was 100% fine and I was running & doing obstacles again.
@@sarahsteinhardt1697 older you are the longer it takes to heal. So if you're in your mid30s-40s double the time, and double it every 10 years older you are. That is the general rule of thumb.
I have a drawer on the kitchen island that is very hard to push in. Had a handyman who couldn’t fix it. The other day i tried to just push it in with my R knee. I felt the knee cap dislocate but popped right back into place. It was swollen at first. I have been careful with it. Bought a thing to wrap around it to give it support. It is doing well. Sleep with a pillow under it. According to your list i don’t need to go to orthopedic. I have no symptoms on the list. So i will keep doing what i am doing & give it time to Heal from the injury. Thanks for the video! Who knew knees were so fragile🤷🏼♀️
I injured my left knee playing rugby. side stepped and stepped right in a hole caused by a mole. happened on 10 November 2019 and haven't been to an orthopedic surgeon yet. its swollen a lot, and i have a lot of pain on the outside of my knee. there was a time I couldn't straighten my leg to the fullest but i can now. i was told by a normal doctor that it could be either a meniscus or MCL injury. the reason i haven't gone to an orthopedic surgeon yet was because my medical aid did not cover knee ops etc. I upgraded my medical aid and finally seeing an orthopedic surgeon tomorrow 10 January 2020. its been 2 months and still have pain and swelling. That's why i finally decided to make an appointment
Thanks for the detailed info! So....yesterday made a nifty move on the basketball court which included a combo of a twist and stopping on a dime.....because the grip on my shoe was worn down all the way....my knee didn't plant....there was a sort of slide and then I fell to the ground with what I'd say was medium (closer to light then heavy) pain. It felt like my knee gave out as I fell to the pavement in what felt like slow motion. I was able to finish the game yet knew I couldn't plant and pivot as I had been during that time and after sitting /resting a while post game, couldn't ride my bike too well but I was able to do some light pedaling. After researching online, I am icing, raising it above my heart, working on getting a compression brace , anti inflammatory drugs and crutches. (tying fabric around it for now when not icing) Thinking it might be torn meniscus based on this video and my symptoms now. I can straighten it while standing and it's fairly painful to put my weight on it while standing but can...sometimes I can walk a bit. ....definitely hurts to bend it back....there's no clicking or popping now or at the time of the injury that I recall. I'm in good shape at 40 as I work out, cycle and do squats and lunges normally so am hoping that will aid in a non surgical recovery. If I don't see improvement in a few days, I figure then I should go to a doctor. Any thoughts/ reflections Dr. Geier or anyone else? Thanks for reading/commenting.
I do gymnastics and I hyper extended my knee I think, and the only thing is I didn’t know if it was serious or not, so this video was very helpful and now I feel better about it!
it might be serious, i also hyperextend my knee, passed all these knee injury tests ans was able to walk around on it. i went in to get it checked just in case and my tibia was fractured
From a person who tore their acl. For me it really hurt the first time, I was on crutches for the first few days then it got better to almost full strength. I re-injured it 5 times after that until I finally decided to get an MRI and found out I completely tore my acl and had damaged meniscus. I recommend getting surgery if you don’t have sports to look forward too. But I personally feel like I would have done fine doing competitive sports, as I rarely injured it if I didn’t jump too high. Surgery will ruin your chances and sports for the next year, and your knee will never be the same. But it most likely will help out in the future so you don’t get arthritis. Just know when the right time to get the operation is. And do it if there is a high enough risk that you will re-injure it during a season and not be able to play
Fell hard on both knees on concrete. My knee was definitely hurt and was a little swollen however I could walk and put weight on it within several minutes. I waited two months to see if the knee returned to normal range of movement on its own but it did not. It stiffens up quickly and dull pain radiates all around it, also up and down the leg. I then went to an orthopedic surgeon. X-rays taken, nothing broken. I’m now in my 6th week of PT with some improvement but not much. I did a week long steroid protocol that helped almost immediately but has proven to be temporary. It’s been well over 3 months since my fall and I still do not have normal range of motion and it gets very stiff. I still cannot squat or sit in a yoga position for example. That’s where I am right now. I liked your video and found it very helpful. Thanks!
I have a bad knee from an injury I suffered in gymnastics as a kid. I never received medical treatment for reasons I can't recall. But throughout the yrs I have twisted it quite a few different times. This time it was 2x within the last 3wks. I prob should see a doctor. I was curious if anyone has ever felt under the weather along with their knee sprain? I am not feeling well not quite sick just low energy and sleepy. Does this have anything to do with it? Just wondering. Thanks for the video.
Hurt my knee a year ago and every so often I make some movement that seems to either lock or partly disconnect the knee..After about 5 or ten minutes I can limp around on it , but it takes about a week or so to recover depending on what damaged I cause each time this happens..Over the year it's happening more often, last time it happened I was just putting on my jeans. my doctor didn't really give me any straight forward answers..I have been to the hospital and managed to get an x-ray and saw a nurse who was a little strange to say the least, and she decided to perform checks on my knee first, before looking at the x-rays.. She mentioned I could move my leg 45 degrees and anything else is just a bonus..After a lot of prodding and leg moving I convinced her to look at the x-rays , she then came back and said her colleague who is a pediatrician had a look and saw that there looks like there is arthritis on the right side of the bone but everything else looks ok..She then said in about 10 years I would need a replacement knee, and then asked if I was happy with that diagnosis.. I asked how they knew it was arthritis, and I was told it looks powdery.. I was then given a leaflet to contact physio therapist..I have lost faith in doctors and nurses to be honest, and I don't think it's anything to do with arthritis because my knee does not hurt and I can walk on it without issue, it's just when I make a certain movement I trigger something that causes the pain and locking..
I just dislocated my knee cap to the outside again, last time was 2010 (basketball). Same knee again today (2018), basketball again. I didn't go see a doctor the first time, just popped it back into place, it was swollen for a few days, but I walked on it. It was perfect after about 3-4 weeks or so. Same thing this time, I just popped it back into place today, albeit it was a bit more difficult to get it back into place today for some reason. It hurts less now (hours after it happened). I even went out for a bit and grabbed some food now and walked up and down the steps a few times already, so I don't know. Not sure if should just chill or not, but I already elevated the knee and put some ice on it, but there's no real significant pain to be honest. FYI, my knee was all the way to the outside (nearly 90 degrees). I have no idea if I'm just lucky, if I deal with pain well, or what it is, but I honestly don't feel like it's a big deal.
Thanks 4 making this video. Personally i hurt my knee from a fall. The worst thing is that it was inside the house. While i was turning to enter the restroom my right ankle just flipped, i fell, but encountered the edge or a peak of a wooden drawer on my way down with my knee, the pain was so intense that even though i sitted on a bed after hitting myself i threw myself to the floor in agony. Ive had some blows before and even experienced some of the worst before but this pain was another level. I screamed in pain. The pain lasted about 5 minutes umtil i got up and rested on the bed. I had no swelling of the knee, just bruises and a small scratch on the right side of my right knee. My family was there and thought that if i could get back up then there wasnt a fracture. In one day it will be 2 weeks but i keep having pain and disconfort. Bruises are gone, no signs or deformities or inflammation and ive been trying to walk normally witjout crutches. What do you think it was? A knee fissure or knee trauma? Ive been treating myself just with ice but have an appointment today with doctor.
Hello. Last Tuesday I was doing Romanian deadlifts and I heard/felt a pop in my left knee. No immediate pain, but after 10 minutes it started to hurt. I iced it. No pain since then, but if I go in the squat position I can feel something move in that knee. No pain, but if feels like something is slipping on the putter side of the knee. Meniscus maybe.
Hi Doc, I’m dealing with a little pain which changes almost every time I get up. The pain is a stiffness in the right / back portion of my right knee. A couple of weeks ago, I could tell my knee was a little tight when I squatted down into a crouching position. It just felt tight all around, mainly in the back of the leg more on the back outsides of the knee. It wasn’t painful, just tight. A couple of weeks later, it’s. Now to the point of pain, in fact it still feels like the back portion but the left inside knee. I don’t see any bumps or noticeable swelling but can’t figure it out. It does make me limp a bit when i walk, but can go away if i find that right stride.
This is exactly my case! 😢😢 i felt the stiffness during my sprinting session. Now it’s roughly 3 days after the pain. Did you ever find out the cause man? Did your knee heal?
Great Vid!!! I do NOT have those conditions, so feel better. Knee was sore a week ago after my workout. 30 min kick/punch heavy bag, 10 min rower, 10 min ellipt. Not sure what did it, but thinking kicking heavy bag. My left leg. Thinking I may have hurt it kicking with my right leg and the left was supporting. It hurts to lift it to my butt while standing. It hurts to raise it and do slow roundhouses. BUT, after 1 week, the pain seems to be less. I can still do leg presses, elliptical, rower, and heavy bag workout without kicking without pain. Fingers crossed that it will heal on it's own. 61 yrs old, 6 foot, 205 pounds. rarely miss a day working out since college.
I jump out of my truck and I felt I hurt my lnee two days latteri heard a pop and couldn't walk any more is bee 10 weeks and I'm still having difficulties walking I'm finally going to see the specialist hopefully I can get some help soon Thank u for the heads up on the exam
Hey Doctor Geier, this is a great video. I have to admit, description of some injuries made me a little queezy hahaha. In my case, I had a minor fall off a ladder. I was approximately 4' off the ground, ladder shifted, I fell, landed on right foot , rolled onto ground. The impact on foot caused immediate sharp pain to right knee.knocked my breathe out and made me a little dizzy. I sat down in a chair, caught my breathe and limped a bit for rest of day. But, I did not see any bruising nor any swelling. So I rested some more and waited until following day - pain was much better. But, my knee felt weird when I made certain movements - such as going up or down stairs or when I attempted to run. So, I have been taking it easy and doing very gentle leg stretches. It has been 1 week. Based on my self diagnosis and your video, I think it will get better on its own. However, if it does not continue to get better, or if it gets worse, I will go to a doctor in 1 to 2 weeks. And I will update here. I am posting this in case anyone else has had a similar experience. Thanks, Robert
About 2 years ago, my knee popped while quickly trying to leave a room. I had pain sor several days, there was no swelling and it got better in about a week. About a month ago the same knee just started hurting to the point where I had to sleep with a pillow under my knee and keep my leg elevated while sitting. I could not straighten my leg while sitting or laying down. Bending my knee hurt a lot, I could walk, but not run without a lot of pain. Stairs hurt, but could be taken if my good leg went up first. Going down stairs the injured leg went down first( hope that makes sense) I had to go slow on stairs. Last night while trying to move quickly my knee popped real loud and there was instant pain and I could hardly walk, my foot fell asleep and was warm. No noticeable swelling. I can not put pressure on the knee or straighten the leg without pain. I can not sit or lay down without pain. I have to prop my knee and leg with pillows and blankets for relief for a few minutes at a time. Last night I wrapped my knee with a potato poultice, when I unwrapped it this morning I had a lot more pain. Not sure if the knee is swollen, if so it is only a little.
Had ACL surgery 3 years ago, and other than a little bit of pain inside my knee here and there it’s perfect. Yesterday I was running and it started really hurting so I stopped. I don’t remember a specific injury happening, but I can’t walk without the knee giving way now, it completely buckles and it really hurts. I’m concerned I’ve done something to my ACL graft 😬
Thank you Dr.Geier for this video, it was helpful. I think I tore my ACL a year ago, and today while playing basket ball the same area the bones popped out and into place. IT HURT. Happened this morning, Sat. Now I am a bit paranoid waiting for a doctors office to open up on Mon. I hope I do not loose my leg for waiting over the weekend to get it checked out. Question ... When I elevate my leg to ice it, my toes start to go numb. Is that common?
Really informative video. I’ve had increasing knee pain for last two weeks after slipping on a ramp. I’m hoping with rest and stretches it will get better.
I had an injury at the gym on the leg press, luckily I was only just starting so only had about 240kg on to warm up, but I pressed out and felt uncomfortable so I thought nothing of readjusting my foot position - I had done it loads of times with this much weight on, the problem is you get complacent and I moved my foot and must of locked my knee out by accident and my knee went the other way, luckily (like I said before) I didn’t have much weight on and was able to catch it with my other leg before it done any real damage - I just felt a sharp split second pain in my knee, I got up and walked it off and thought 💭 that was lucky and carried on unknowingly making my injury worse without realising I was injured until it gradually started hurting over the next week, getting progressively worse and worse till after a fortnight, I could hardly walk, then had to stop doing anything strenuous with my knee and work smarter to limit my knee becoming worse, I have no idea really what I did, I just let it rest, but it’s never been the same since and I now just want to get back to training but doubt I’ll ever trust my knee 100% again. I do wonder if it’s ligaments as when I kneel down for long periods it hurts more and used to have a lot of movement, to the point where I would have knee pain due to it becoming slightly dislocated and it would take a minute just to re-align. I don’t really get that particular symptom anymore but I try to limit kneeling as much as possible - though it’s difficult when you’re a service engineer.
Now seeing this vid 2019, I had twisted my left leg 20 thing years ago riding a bike , my left leg turn to the right on contact with a pavement. I recently started getting pain like 3 days ago like shocking , am using ice and anti flamatories & bandage. I have full movement now .on impact I had some swelling. I didnt think much of it till later , I saw a physician , did physio therapy. It worked back then, am doing moderate exercise now
For me whenever i try to bend my knee forward it just hurts so much, and now i cant really walk well so if you know the treatment please reply im a 14 yo and thx for reading
I got caught on a rebound yesterday and my left leg landed flat horizontally and I slightly felt my knee move. But my knee doesn’t hurt it’s the back of my knee where you can feel what seems to be a string on either corner of your back leg.

Raid Hassan omg me too, but it pops back by itself, doctors say its just a bad sprain afterwards, ive had 3 back to back after somewhat healing, and I feel so scared to turn
ACL partial to Full tear, I wasn’t recommended to do a surgery. Instead I was recommended to strengthen the muscles around the knee. I definitely saw my patella going inwards while I was playing soccer . i felt like I couldn’t move my leg for about 20 seconds. I was able to do normal activities ( except soccer or anything that required change of direction for months) and no pain. Only swelling and l couldn’t fully extend for a while. Now is okay
I slipped and fell and broke my tibia in two places at the ankle. At fist I thought the pain and swelling was due an occurrence of gout. After seeing an ankle specialist and dealing with recovery. The swelling of the was going up and down. Icing heat pad did no good. Since I have been advised to put more weight on the leg, the air cast takes a lot of pressure and I can move more but still experience ongoing pain with swelling to different degrees. Plan to see knee specialist in 2 weeks
I fell from a weigh bridge which was only around 3 feet but my right leg got jammed between the bridge and truck axle, there was a terrible tearing sound then serious pain which made feel very sick and dizzy. My knee was massively swollen almost instantly. I saw a doctor the next day and he thought i had ripped the ligaments and tendon. He gave me Naproxen to help the swelling and 30/500 pain killers.... he said rest it for 2 weeks... now the leg gives and clicks and still hurts.
Hi David. I am a hobby athlete training upwards of 10-15h a week (running, yoga, bouldering, etc.). Last weekend I did two trails runs on 2 days (6 miles each) and ever since my right knee has gotten weak and wobbly. I don't do a lot of trail runs usually, so I can see why that was a dumb idea. I haven't seen a doctor yet, but I am really worried and scared, though I don't have any of the symptoms you mention in the video and I am used to letting my body heal the injuries by itself for the most part and it has worked out just fine in the past 6 years of my ultra-active lifestyle. Now I have not had many occasions, where I felt a burn in my knee area coupled with knee weakness and limp, and was wondering, if you could tell me your opinion about whether this sounds like something serious or whether I can brush it off without seeing a physician. I appreciate your advice. Thanks a ton.
What do you do for your ultra active lifestyle? I'm trying to get back in shape I tore my acl and my meniscus years ago on my birthday 🎂 my luck, today was cutting my friends lawn and the ground gave way and my leg fell in the hole that came out of nowhere I'm in pain and it hurts to bend down and to.walk. I don't know how serious it is I was 24 when I hurt my knees left one I just turned 42 lol and again knee injury I remember the pain was a lot worst then but I'm on 72hr pain medication for back injury so don't know if it's dulling my pain.
Several years fast forward doctors still can't properly diagnose what is going on with my knee.. I stopped running for the most part, but kept myself in shape cross training.. swimming is definitely a good tip!! Thanks again. Hope that knee issues will fizzle out overtime.
@@fatimaaliyeva9178do you lift weights (strength train) or just stay active? I had a similar injury that didn’t go away until I started strength training.
Just had my MRI today a month after the injury (yay military medical) and I have 4 separate issues. MCL, ACL and two others I can't pronounce. I had swelling, but it was vastly significant. Mine was extreme pain and the inability to bend or straighten my knee. Initially the military doctor did a xray and gave me motrin... did absolutely nothing. But after all this time we finally got them to listen and finally got the mri. I guess surgery is next... pretty scared. Any tips for getting through the next few weeks?
I sprenrd my knee and believe the Urgent care doctor dislocated my knee . two months later I go to my chiropractor and find it had been dislocated he put it back in place go back week later my knee was out of it socket popped it back in to place went back the next week my knee had stayed in place . After all that my knee will give out on my randomly most of the time I was able to catch myself or gave on something so I wouldn't fall .there was few time when I couldn't catch myself and fell .it was happening so much I told my primary care doctor for a referral to a orthopedic doctor and found out that I have wear & tear and arthritis in my knee (I did pt to help my knee ) and also high knee caps . Few days ago my knee started to bother it felt like it was out of it socket when to my chiropractor she wasn't able to get it back in because how my knee two day later still hurt and wasn't able to straight it the next I was able to straight or put weight on it and it pop I felt it move side to side (my knee as pop before movement normal go up and down) few days later it swell up and has not gone down yet .
I’m back watching this video unfortunately. I’ve torn my acl in my right knee, then re-tore the graft a couple years later. They fixed it and it’s “better” still not 100% but what did I expect? It’s been years and I’m fine with the right knee. NOW the unfortunate is happening and I knew it would because my surgeon told me. He said your left knee is going to take a toll if you keep doing what you’re doing. (Hard, strenuous physical work) Short story short my left knee gave out on me today. I bent down to a 30 degree angle and tried lifting something over 50 lbs. I heard a obvious loud pop and I fell on my but to see that my knee was out of place like my right knee used to do. So I did what I did in the past and straightened my leg out slowly like I did in the past, until the uncomfortable reset of my knee took place. There is 0 swelling, just pain when I walk and as well as using the stairs and a ramp to my box truck. Also feels unstable but not as much as a torn ACL would give. There’s excruciating pain in one particular spot on the outside right side of my knee. Just curious what this could be.

I had torn my meniscus and mcl about 2 years ago I didn’t get surgery or nothing just worked on strengthening the muscle around my knee and eventually became better. I recently was playing basketball and landed wrong and my knee pain is even worse then the first time and is very swollen like a softball so I’m going to get checked out today. Thanks for the help

I was jogging and I fell not to long ago and my knee hurt it’s likes when I bend my leg it hurts but I can walk but I can’t put a lot of weight on it because it just goes out and it isn’t hurting on the top of my knee it hurts like In the inside and on the back of my knee towards the bottom it feels like if somebody touches me to hard its going to break or something and when I woke up it hurt worst and it’s swoll
68 yr old male here. I have years past an occasional stiff knee from playing rabbit like everyone else but never had a specific knee injury. Last night I was playing Couch Potato, a repetitive sport for me, and when I got up, my Right Knee decided to stay on the couch. The knee is swollen with a nodule (pronounced Bump) clearly visible on the outboard upper part of the knee. I am basically incapacitated today with pain radiating down the back of the leg.
exactly as you described; can't straighten out leg, knee giving out, swelling. then 2 months after, twisted my knee again in the opposite position from the 1st knee injury, can straighten out leg, knee still gives out, swelling. going to give it 2 weeks to let swell go down and decide if I need to check it out
A week ago I had the misfortune to mistake a really big step for a stairase and fall down about half a meter I heard a snap and I could not get up I could bend the knee and strech the knee but not put weight on it. Next day I went to the doctor and it was swollen but not painful unless it snapped or moved in a certain way. I have to come back when the swelling is down but as I am 72 years old and a dancer!! I am not like many of my people of my age not getting enough movement. I want to dance and walk again and I know I have to have patience. What are my chances to be able to walk and dance again I can stand without putting weight on my leg and I am able to set just a few steps very carefully without support. I can bend and stretch my leg. So with excersise and may be a brace to prevent snapping feeling, I hope it possible. I have a fairly good condition and thanks to my dancing Argentine Tango and ballroom I know where my centre is and how to spread the weight Hope you van advise me
I answer this myself. Now 2 months later I have seen an orthopedic surgeon and I was relieved Believe it or not. The X rays showed no signs of detoriation know to be part of elderly people. I had apartial rupture and my muscle tone was quite good Thanks to my activities as a dancer After the first weeks of despair and pain and fear for the future, , I now feel confident htat I will be dancing again next year. After the experence of beng moved around in a wheelchair, I am so happy to be able to walk with a brace ( and one crutch) that prevent my knee from sudden side ways movement, I now know it is just a matter of time. I have been so lucky and that I insisted to see a orthopedic surgeon and not take the answer that "people of my age have often kneeproblems and more". Knowing my bones are in perfect condition, no sigs of old age usage, I have taken up my life again And hope to be able to walk and dance as before. This experience of not able to move without help, was horrible
Thank you for such an informational video. I hurt my knee just tripping in NYC. My doc doesn't think I need an MRI as resting has made me feel better, but even after weeks if I sit for too long or sleep in a certain position, my knee catches and I cannot straighten it due to the pain. I have to twist my leg into a different position to straighten it. If I sit for too long (a whole day at work) I can't even seem to put weight on it to climb stairs. Weirdly enough walking is never a problem. When I walk, I feel like everything is more relaxed. Wondering if physiotherapy will help.
That is how I am my knee Hurst real bad my knee pops really loud to when I am walking and moving around it don't hurt but if I sit to long I have to work on stretching my knee out before taking the first step then after about 5 steps and I am fine. Sometimes when I work after my 12 hr shifts my knee hurts all the time but all my pain is in the back of my knee not the front or the sides
My knee just pops a lot when i'm walking or when i straighten it out then retract. There's no pain at all just loud pops very often. What could it be ?
Jackson u got injured then the sound come ? Idk if i had any injuries, i played soccer back when i was a teenager and now i’m 21 and it’s still popping ever since I don’t recall any big injuries at all, just some mild soreness after some matches, that’s about it And the popping sound, it sounds like when u pop those bubble wraps, only on my right knee which is the one i used to kick the ball. And i also haven’t had any treatment before coz it just don’t hurt at all (there just a feeling that my right leg is longer than the left one and it’s somehow more flexible) Idk if i should be worried or not...
Thank you Very helpful information. I twisted my knee while changing directions now w Whenever I go upstairs or I bend it 90 degree and trying to stand on one foot it’s weak and hurts St
I’ve been goin threw about 2 months of trying to get my knee checked out I have an loose piece of bone in my knee cap is it ok to have it for that long an not already taken care of?
So I had a complete ACL tear and slight meniscus tear about 4 years ago. I got surgery and my Dr used the patellar tendon method and everything came out good. So fast forward to this past April, I was playing soccer and I stepped over the ball to fake one way and to go the other. When I planted my right leg (the one I got surgery on) to fake one side I heard it pop a couple of times and i fell to the floor. I don't think it gave out on me, but maybe I fell because of the pain. I was still able to walk after that but it was a little painful. I couldn't straighten it all the way and it was a little swollen. I went to the Dr. and all they did was give me an X-ray and gave me a knee brace. I know I need an MRI, but I'm not sure if my insurance covers it so I haven't gotten one. Currently my knee is getting better, maybe because I've been using the cycling machine at the gym often so I can get my range of motion back, but I still have fluid in my knee (not too much but it's noticeable) and when I straighten my knee all the way and flex it, I hear a little crackling. So I'm not sure if that means anything? I still can't play soccer either because it still feels a little unstable to sprint or pivot. Do you have any idea what that could be? And sorry for the super long comment lol
I’m kinda in the same rage here do to insurance I’ve been sitting around waiting on an mri with a piece of my knee cap missing floating around in my knee and it get stuck sum times mostly 3 times a day idk if it’s safe to be in this condition as long as I’ve been
Julio Rosales I have the same injury caused by the same thing, about a year ago I was playing football and put all my weight on my knee, i heard a pop and I was in extreme agony as I fell to the floor and got up to limp back to the side of the pitch, a couple of weeks later it ‘Healed’ however a few times since then I would suddenly change direction in sport and I would collapse on it the same way it originally happened, I went for an mri scan and found out that I had a little bit of bone missing and had torn a ligament, I was given exercises and stretches to do and I thought all was well till yesterday when I was playing with my dog and I collapsed and couldn’t properly walk afterwards, it’s driving me insane and making me depressed so I’m here to figure out how I can heal it myself and if it’s not too late.

I was bouldering/rock climbing (indoors) and I made it to the top, and my mask started getting pushed into my eyes so I could hardly concentrate, that’s when I gave in to the pain my arms were feeling from holding on for so long, when I fell maybe 10 ft onto the mat below me, originally this wouldn’t have been a problem if I used the right landing technique, but because of the lack of concentration caused by my face mask, I fell stomach facing the ground in a sort of crouched position, thus, the left side of my right knee slammed onto the Mat, I was terrified because I thought I had a devastating injury, my knee felt like it had been sort of sprained, like the pain you feel when you sprain your ankle, but below my knee, so now whenever I curl my knee I feel pain, especially when my leg is completely curled and my calve is touching the back of my thigh, however when I get back up from resting In pain, and started walking, lightly running, and even climbing, the pain went away almost completely, i go home happy as can be when I realized that my knee now hurts again, but it was only when i slowly got active that the pain went away, I’ve been praying, Im very worried as I love to workout and climb, so I’m just praying for the best. Thanks for this video as I don’t have any of what you described as some of the major concerns, I’m praying this is gone in the maximum of a few days. Thanks for the vid man!!! I was doing a wheelie yesterday and fell off the bike because the chain popped and landed on my right knee it still hurts today but I figured I’d give it a few days and see if it still hurts
Hi, im not really sure how I hurt my knee but here's what's going on with it and maybe you can let me know something. Above my knee cap is some swallowing, the middle of my knee has an aching pain, when I'm walking it feels as if my knee cap is moving forward in a straight line but my foot is angling off to the left if that makes any sense? When I'm laying down and try to stretch it out and straighten it out the back of my knee has a sharp pain so I stop. I hope any of that makes sense and I hope you can give me some pointers to help heal my knee and what I could do. Thanks again and I hope to hear from you. God Bless.
I have had osteochondritis dessecans for 20 yrs or so. It’s never gone away like everyone told me it would even after 5 surgeries. Recently just stepping over something it crunched and had immediately felt the digging knife pain I know to well. I did RICE for two days now and was swollen and had spontaneous super sharp 20/10 pain that would subside after an hour or so. About an hour ago going to the bathroom it popped a bit and I can tell it helped. No super sharp pain and not as swollen. Not sure if I got another lesion or bone piece or if I dislocated something somehow. Time will tell
Today morning, I had a sharp pain in my knee when I bent my leg, and since that moment I get sharp pain wherever I try to bend my leg and the pain comes from my knee.
@@njokindegwa7397 I fixed it now without visiting a doctor, bend the leg slightly then you should feel a stingy pain bear it, and hold the position after you get comfortable bend it more, after doing this for the whole leg it will hurt very slightly, you might also feel a slight discomfort sitting on desks for about a week.
I can straighten my knee all the way but cannot bend it as far as my other leg, it is swollen and it happened by making a quick change of direction in soccer. It doesn't hurt when I walk or jog, is this serious or?
Thank you for your video. It was very educational. This past Fri morning I tripped over a cement car blocker and fell full force on my knee. I heard and felt my knee break. We called 911 for an ambulance and went to the ER. After an exam and x-rays. I was told I fractured my Patella and they put a brace on me and told me to follow up with my Orthropedic Surgeon. So Monday I will be making a call to him. I watched multiple videos trying to educate myself before I see him. I'm curious what kind of Pattela fracture it is. I see there is multiple ones. I'm so upset because I have a pre-planned vacation to Hawaii for 2 weeks with my Mom and my sister. We are expecting to leave 10/29/22 to 11/13/22. I'm hoping it's not one of the worse fractures and maybe I could be so lucky not to have surgery and just wear a brace. Also hoping I will be healed by then. Fingers crossed.
I wouldn’t have gone to the hospital yesterday if i had seen this video earlier. After i felt a knee trauma while rope jumping, I could barely walk or even rotate while i sleep. But could fully extend my leg, and also no big swelling. Also had this coupled with bad cold symptoms and fever, so had to call emergency because i was pretty much handicapped. They gave a strong painkiller injection and told me that it’s a knee sprain and will get back with some rest and pills.
Great video. I’ve had a dodgy knee for few months now. I am so squeamish though all this talk about popping and snapping was seriously making me feel woozy 😂
When I was 17 years old I was running through a field and stepped in a hole. When I did, my knee hyper extended to the side and I was unable to put any pressure on it or it would bend sideways. My knee swelled up like a basketball and I wrapped it up and stayed off of it for a couple of weeks and it healed up. It’s not 100% but I run, I go walking every. My knee is sore sometimes but it’s not unmanageable. This was 15 years ago. I wish that I would have went to the doctor then because it’s to late now lol I know if I go to the doctor now i will be completely immobilized after they finish mutilating my knee.
I met with an accident in 1988, when the lower leg was snapped medially. I was in plaster for 8 weeks. Now even after 30 years I experience unstable sometimes (once in a year or so) knee while climbing or descending steps. The knee become unstable I fall. Sometimes it gets locked I cannot straighten it. Yesterday, 9 June 2019 I had another such accident now I cannot fold it completely. But today it is better. Thrice I reduced weight to about 75 kg. Now I am again overweight 88 kg. These problems occur when I am overweight
So I have a 5:46 schatzke 6 plateau fracture of tibia and fibia. Ortho says no surgery, because it's straight. My only concern in that since a week after my Ortho appointment. My foot is losing feeling and ability to move I keep telling him, but seems not concerned. Have to heal fracture then we would address meniscal tears that I have on both side from accident. Thanks
I started to run after months one step at the beginning of the run caused great pain and swelling. It is now 3 months with this pain without HEALING. When I walk slowly at home the pain is mild sometimes not felt.
I was wondering why i could my knee started hurting and than when in calm down and thought about I realized it’s not because of growth or anything it is because of the way I land when I go up for a dunk I land like Derrick rose miss or make all the time and my left knee always hurt I just stretched it out and found a less aggressive way to land helped a lot landing on 2 instead of one
Thats happening to me right now my mom is being annoying saying that its just growing pains because I'm still growing I'm 6,1 15 about to turn 16 but this feels different than growing pains I can push threw growing pains this is different
I don’t remember ever injuring my knees, and I don’t have much knee pain, although I might just be used to it if i do and not notice, but both of my kneecaps are split in a sort of Y shape, and whenever I do certain exercises where I stretch my legs a certain way I always hear a cracking sound. They creak and crack and I’ve never been really worried, but I’m concerned that there’s something wrong. My knees also seem large and swollen compared to the rest of my leg. Should I be worried? It hasn’t caused me any real issues, and they’ve been like that for as long as I can remember.
I tore my patella, doing a turn and my knee totally locked and couldn't bend it was alot of pain still recovering! 27th of Dec and I'm still in recovery but can walk.

I know you can't diagnose, but insight would be appreciated.
watched this and had every single one of them so got it checked out and i’ve torn my ACL, my meniscus and MCL
it’s a fun life
Aidan, you and I share the same injury.

Did the popping ever go away
it does, happened to me before, by the way, mine went away in 3 weeks or 2 weeks or something, so don't worry :D@@natejohnson1991
Thanks for this-gives me hope after about 2 months.
So i will keep doing what i am doing & give it time to
Heal from the injury.
(tying fabric around it for now when not icing)
Thinking it might be torn meniscus based on this video and my symptoms now.
I just did the samething how long did it take for you to heal?
I do gymnastics and I hyper extended my knee I think, and the only thing is I didn’t know if it was serious or not, so this video was very helpful and now I feel better about it!
Looks like it's my turn
it might be serious, i also hyperextend my knee, passed all these knee injury tests ans was able to walk around on it. i went in to get it checked just in case and my tibia was fractured
Did you have surgery??
Thanks!
I appreciate that. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Hi, did you ever get an MRI done? I also fell on concrete and am doing PT.
Good presentation, re-assuring that my wrecked knee probably isn't serious, thx
I have a bad knee from an injury I suffered in gymnastics as a kid. I never received medical treatment for reasons I can't recall. But throughout the yrs I have twisted it quite a few different times. This time it was 2x within the last 3wks. I prob should see a doctor. I was curious if anyone has ever felt under the weather along with their knee sprain? I am not feeling well not quite sick just low energy and sleepy. Does this have anything to do with it? Just wondering. Thanks for the video.
hey just wondering how are you now
Hurt my knee a year ago and every so often I make some movement that seems to either lock or partly disconnect the knee..After about 5 or ten minutes I can limp around on it , but it takes about a week or so to recover depending on what damaged I cause each time this happens..Over the year it's happening more often, last time it happened I was just putting on my jeans. my doctor didn't really give me any straight forward answers..I have been to the hospital and managed to get an x-ray and saw a nurse who was a little strange to say the least, and she decided to perform checks on my knee first, before looking at the x-rays..
Brother I'm facing the same problem. reply me
Maybe it's osteochondritis
Bob Smith this sounds like ligament damage if your knee keeps on popping out , could need surgery
I fell on bruised both knees years ago and its never been the same since
What happened what did the doctor say?
I have a knee pain due to football game and I am suffering from serious pain. am thanking you all for solution to our knee pain

Me too
This is exactly my case!

Thank you for your honesty. You will be blessed
What happened?
Thank you Dr.Geier for this video, it was helpful. I think I tore my ACL a year ago, and today while playing basket ball the same area the bones popped out and into place. IT HURT. Happened this morning, Sat. Now I am a bit paranoid waiting for a doctors office to open up on Mon. I hope I do not loose my leg for waiting over the weekend to get it checked out.
Question ... When I elevate my leg to ice it, my toes start to go numb. Is that common?
Really informative video. I’ve had increasing knee pain for last two weeks after slipping on a ramp. I’m hoping with rest and stretches it will get better.
hows it going
I didnt think much of it till later , I saw a physician , did physio therapy. It worked back then, am doing moderate exercise now

Sounds serious and shouldn’t brush off. Prob best jogging on soft ground, beach if possible. Also if you can swim , swim more. Best of wishes

(Hard, strenuous physical work)
Short story short my left knee gave out on me today.
Just curious what this could be.

exactly as you described; can't straighten out leg, knee giving out, swelling. then 2 months after, twisted my knee again in the opposite position from the 1st knee injury, can straighten out leg, knee still gives out, swelling. going to give it 2 weeks to let swell go down and decide if I need to check it out
A week ago I had the misfortune to mistake a really big step for a stairase and fall down about half a meter I heard a snap and I could not get up I could bend the knee and strech the knee but not put weight on it.
How does it feel when running?
My knee just pops a lot when i'm walking or when i straighten it out then retract. There's no pain at all just loud pops very often. What could it be ?
Same I get the same feeling after healing on my own without surgery
Jackson u got injured then the sound come ?
Idk if i had any injuries, i played soccer back when i was a teenager and now i’m 21 and it’s still popping ever since
I don’t recall any big injuries at all, just some mild soreness after some matches, that’s about it
And the popping sound, it sounds like when u pop those bubble wraps, only on my right knee which is the one i used to kick the ball.
And i also haven’t had any treatment before coz it just don’t hurt at all (there just a feeling that my right leg is longer than the left one and it’s somehow more flexible)
Idk if i should be worried or not...
Random Guy bro same it happens to me in soccer I keep thinking I re tore my meniscus
Mine did that at first and now it locks up and hurts like hell not letting me move a mustle
@@RecklesSleepy805 if it hurts then u should go see your doctor to check it out asap or it'll be worse
This was extremely helpful thank you.
Thank you Very helpful information. I twisted my knee while changing directions now w
Whenever I go upstairs or I bend it 90 degree and trying to stand on one foot it’s weak and hurts

I see this man is definitely a dad 😂 unless it’s broken, youre fiiine!
I’m kinda in the same rage here do to insurance I’ve been sitting around waiting on an mri with a piece of my knee cap missing floating around in my knee and it get stuck sum times mostly 3 times a day idk if it’s safe to be in this condition as long as I’ve been
Hope u guys get better
I have a subtotal acl rupture and im afraid to train again so thing like that would not happend...
Fell bad for your health system. To have to worry about bills instead of yourselves in those times of need. I am glad I am in the European health system. No copays here.

You'll never walk alone doctor!
I use to be a competitive gymnast and have sprained both knees several times. I’ve also worked with dogs my whole life so they always run into my knees. Now my knee keeps dislocating & popping back in place. I know I’ll need surgery in the future because my family has a history of knee surgeries
Hi Dr. @david.. how can contact you..?
I got i new injury just a 2 hours ago.. when we are playing basketball.. it happened when i jump and got the rebound and when i fall on the floor i felt that my left knee was twist.. but it returns back after i drop my body on the floor..
Hope you can help me Doc.
Thank you.
I bumped my knee in my new apartment because I didn't see the kitchen counter top when I paused Star Wars - I feel embarrassed to be on this video but here I am.
😂😂 If it makes you feel better I fell out the bath trying to get the towel off of an open bathroom door 🤪😂
@@Only1SapphireDiamond @MuditVerma i understand totally...mine hurts from accidentally (most probably) hitting the wall when I sleep (the bed is near, sort of attached, to the wall) and I can't do one leg squats anymore. Sucks.
I don't exercise or an active person in general but my right knee suddenly began to hurt. My parents told me to that I lack exercise so I tried exercising and now the pain got worse.
I dont exercise to but i dont have it so unless you are unfitter it is not True what youre parent told
This helped my mom a lot,
🙂
I am on a special diet that reduces the body inflammation level, mainly food contains Omega 3.
I can’t feel an improvement but at least I managed to delay the symptoms of Arthritis associated with knee injury
As a soccer player, damaged knees killed my dream ... never play a game without 30 minutes workout/practicing prior and about 45 minutes in colder weather. One injury and your dreams become a history.
Nice I think Im good then. Knee hurts from a snowboard accident but none of these apply. Ill just let it rest
Did you recover or not?
Someone fell on my knee, I had my leg on the wall all was a heard a little snap and it's been 3 days now and I don't wanna go to the hospital cuz of whats going on.
It's really swollen I can't get it to go straight down.
Well doc every tym I'm going down on a ladder the side portion of my knee is aching is that cause by ligament. What advise can u give for that- thanks doc
Thank you. Your videos are super helpful.
(All happened today by the way) I will try to update!!!!!
I was doing a wheelie yesterday and fell off the bike because the chain popped and landed on my right knee it still hurts today but I figured I’d give it a few days and see if it still hurts
Be careful, that's a good idea, but don't over do it. If your right, it will be fine, but if your wrong it could get lots worse from brushing it off
My right knee got hurt 2week ago, it didn't swell too much but whenever I sit in my car to drive it hurts sometimes
God Bless.
what’d you do ? i have the same thing right now

Did it heal yet cause I’m having the same problem

My Leg CAN bend, but hurts Alot when trying to do so, what do you reckon ?
June Jaguar same
@@njokindegwa7397 I fixed it now without visiting a doctor, bend the leg slightly then you should feel a stingy pain bear it, and hold the position after you get comfortable bend it more, after doing this for the whole leg it will hurt very slightly, you might also feel a slight discomfort sitting on desks for about a week.
June Jaguar will it still hurt walking and running? How you feel now?
@@lancekippenbrock5307 , now it's all healed up, thank you. ( your video helped a lot thanks)
June Jaguar ok I was just wondering how long it took you. I went to the chiropractor and it only too 1 week to fully heal
I can straighten my knee all the way but cannot bend it as far as my other leg, it is swollen and it happened by making a quick change of direction in soccer. It doesn't hurt when I walk or jog, is this serious or?
LJH Rest your knee and wait till your knee swolleness is gone. after that let a professional look at it
Im in the same boat bro literally on the same day
Thank you for your video.

Ooo ma gosh.🤣
Thanks
It would really save me from anxiety if you would reply to all my comments. Huhuhuhu
I fell off the stage at school and hurt my knee bad so I was just wondering
What if my knee hurts on a spot where there are no crucial ligaments... but I still feel intense pain?
I started to run after months one step at the beginning of the run caused great pain and swelling. It is now 3 months with this pain without HEALING. When I walk slowly at home the pain is mild sometimes not felt.
Very informative video Dr.Geler
Thank you very much for your expert views
I actually fall wrong way
It was like
Two bones moving away away
I hurt my knee today but I was able straighten it out and walk but it hurts behind my knee and has a little swollen
Was it ok or something serious. I am also facing the same
Same ._.
Try not to land like D Rose that’s why his knees are so brittle and weak
I don’t remember ever injuring my knees, and I don’t have much knee pain, although I might just be used to it if i do and not notice, but both of my kneecaps are split in a sort of Y shape, and whenever I do certain exercises where I stretch my legs a certain way I always hear a cracking sound. They creak and crack and I’ve never been really worried, but I’m concerned that there’s something wrong. My knees also seem large and swollen compared to the rest of my leg. Should I be worried? It hasn’t caused me any real issues, and they’ve been like that for as long as I can remember.
Normal
I tore my patella, doing a turn and my knee totally locked and couldn't bend it was alot of pain still recovering! 27th of Dec and I'm still in recovery but can walk.
