Got to be a special kind of hell for the final boss, just being continually ground down as the enemy heals up after every attack and realizing "Damn, I have NOTHING I can throw at these people" after a few minutes. But still having to keep fighting because they can't retreat.
Wonderful video. Great run! But now seeing this makes me worried for the Only Red Mage run... (not the Only Black Mage run as I feel that'll be somewhat easy.)
Been wondering what scar would do next, never guessed a white mage team. And I would love to see some other games with a job for the breaks, something like bravely default for example.
Why punish yourself even further?! I've never done any challenge runs myself, but I always love the ideas. I'm currently playing through all six pixel remaster games and I'm on FF5 PR right now.
"challenge runs" are what makes games to have longevity. Final Fantasy series are no strangers to "challenge" ad "self imposed" type runs, especially with FF3 and 5 which have job system as their core mechanic.
At goldor in video. Didn't know he resisted magic, interesting. Also, in my analysis on the last video I made an error: white MAGES don't learn Holy/White, only White Wizzards and Sages. Good news is I forgot about Aeroaga, so maybe that'll fill in the gap (spell items probably will as well, but definately access to a few charges of Holy/White would have probably been real nice in the dark world -- we'll see when I get there). Also, good news for Goldor is that (at least in FFV), Staffs are considered the same kind of weapon as Axes so they go through physical defense (not that that is much of a consolation as they are REALLY weak)
Staffs as items are definately interesting, I didn't realize they cast spells in this version (probably because I played 3DS version which, like the NES version, didn't have staffs that cast spells) and I assumed it was true here too -- it's not, so good find. This might also help end game.
At end: good game! Looks like I was partially wrong about the Cloud of Darkness and Dark World as it looks like they weren't significantly harder, just slower with this party, so well played!
Beautiful run lol And let’s be real: Aerith is a red mage. She has a peculiar style, uses black and white magic at equal proficiencies, and has a red color scheme.
I beat the NES version back in the 90's, but Cloud of Darkness on the PSP? I lost three times against her and got sick of having to traverse Xande's Tower & Dark World back to back.
I remember fighting Ahriman in FFIV the after years and my god, he was very annoying in that game. I like watching SRPGs on yt mostly, specifically Fire Emblem. Lately i have been playing attention to the Mortal Kombat community on yt, idk much on fighting games but its good content.
I think you should be allowed to change to the advanced version of the class in these runs so you can use advanced spells and weapons. Shaman, Magus, Black Belt, Knight, Etc.
Imagine that every HP you overheal your heroes goes 1:1 as damage to the first monster (or in every boss fight - the boss) that would make the WM amazingly overpowered :-) its an idea i came up with by playing slice & dice on my smartphone where an artifact gives one hero (in this case the healer! what else!) an option to do his/her job while applying some dps.... great videos btw i am still doing my own OK challenge on FF3 and wonder if you used the earliest option to grant your Onion Knights protection rings from that Underwater Temple (where you get Noahs Lute aka his GUITAR as i say)???
Yuna is as much of a White Mage as Garnet is. Both are White Mage/Summoner mixed classes, and so is Eiko _also_ from FF9. Like how the full grown Rydia in FF4 is a Black Mage in addition to being a Summoner (as a child she could also use white magic, but loses that in adulthood?)
In FF3, can you put on a secondary skill from another job like you could in FF5? For example, can you have Yuna learn Summon spells, or have Rosa learn Equip Bows?
IMHO not really worth it even if you DO survive Particle beams damage EVERY turn even at job class lv 99 using a LV 99 party and CAN OUTHEAL it Holy is the ONLY attack spell worth using IF at all.
I just finished ff 3 for the first time. Watching these vids was fun, wish there were more.
Men, you are just a self harm master, but I love your challenges
Great video as always, Scar! keep up the great work. 👍

Shoulda swapped one of the summoner names for Minwu imo

I wish there was some way to start the game with any job. I'd love to see a four Dragoon run, but you don't get them until after Kraken
Thank you much love for your videos
Nice challenge run! I really like your vids!
Thank you for your support!

I like the idea of exploring Bravely Default and making up a challenge for that game.
@@solitaryscargaming Did you every get around to making some challenge runs going on BD?

4 White Mages!?!?! It will never work.
Great effort great run brother.
Thank you!
Great video! I have another challenge, beating the game with just 1 character alive!
This is a spicy challenge and I love it. Might not be for FFIII but I want to do this with another game.

Well I'll drop my tent here and wait for the next Job.
new solitary scar video yeeeeEEEEES
Final fantasy 2 but i can only use bows
In other words, one of the easiest runs but also one of the slowest ones.
Would love to see some challanges on the 3D Version since it's harder :)
I beat the NES version back in the 90's, but Cloud of Darkness on the PSP? I lost three times against her and got sick of having to traverse Xande's Tower & Dark World back to back.
Good editing

seems easy just tedious

I did provide my OK with protection rings from the underwater Temple. It help for sure.

Can you do my request can you beat final fantasy iii pixel remaster with olny just thief
Fanatic challenge run 👍

nope youre all in on a singular job in ff3
@@Bazzlieo that's too bad, would be cool to make them match their namesakes

Yuna Garnet Rosa and Aerith
*cries in Porom* 😂
✨icons only✨
👍
You could have used Minwu or Eiko instead.
Eiko is a Summoner who knows white magic, not a dedicated healer
Both Final Fantasy Record Keeper and Brave Exvius disagree with you. Eiko and Garnet both are summoner white mages just like Yuna.
I CAN BEAT FINAL FANTASY III WITH SOLO ONION KNIGHT
Hein = Hien
lol
