I had spent $3,600 in repairs over 3 years if th3 6 years I had owned it. Worked ok fir the first 3 years then everything seemed to fall apart in years 4-6. Since I had purchased a service contract it was serviced like clock work and all fluids and filters changed right according to factory specs. Toyota? Oh what a feeling as I write another check for another repair.

excellent and beautiful customization. I drove the most basic 2020 version for 50,000 km and it behaved like there was no tomorrow, so smooth and so manageable, so loyal when needed, pleasant experience.
i wish u would sell the fenders.. im sure many fans out there like ur fender design from the old model till the latest model.. great design and great workmanship there.. =)

I'd be very careful of the body mount relocate. And for that matter all the cutting away of the guards !! Damn !! That is weakening the whole car !! Especially in the rear where there is LOTS of flex in that tray if you are seriously off-roading as we do here in Australia !! As for the body mount...you are better to modify it, rather than cut it and relocate. Here it's illegal to remove and relocate without engineering, and for good reason. It is a strength point. Moving that, will affect the integrity. I modified mine without moving it, AND NO CUTTING OF THE GUARDS to fit massive tyres, way bigger than on this car.. and mine are 305 wide !! My car is a different make, but the point is the same no matter what rig you are setting up. Tread carefully...

There are no car available with solid front axle in Europe at the moment. (please, correct me if I'm wrong) I do agree tho, a solid front is a lot easier to work on...
Love my 2021 Hilux but I wouldn’t mind this one now what a machine. Is this the manual model? I have manual and it tows hard not so great without load on. The gear box is awesome ratio for towing

Sorry if my comment is ignorant or something but why not build tracked vehicles or big trucks like 50" chain tyres (like Russia did) is it that the mountains are too high or too narrow or simply a scout vehicle
Most of it is actually pretty basic, mostly bolt ons. The hardest part is cutting off the cab mount and relocating it. There are a few places in Taiwan that modifies Jimnys, I'm sure one of them can do this too.

I'm sure somebody will do good work, probably just hard to find. There's "Taiwan Land Rover Club", maybe they know someone who will work on independent suspensions since the newer stuff is front rear independent. I don't know any Hilux or Toyota offroading clubs in Taiwan, and havn't heard of any shops either...

Hi I need some help with some Rim Offsets. whats the Max Negative Offsets can you go with the hilux that will not require any chopping and scrubbing issues? I am not planning to drive off road and planning to use road tires. can you give me a recommendation to what tires and Rims I should get.

The Hilux is a great car. This summer I rode it around Russia in 100 days! It is over 30,000 kilometers.

I want to say that a solid axle in front is less hassle to repair in cold conditions? I do drive a lifted IFS though,

The wheels are Arctic Trucks Dernier HDF 17x10 with an offset of -52mm. The tyres are BFG Ko2 37/12.5R17
