  • In this episode I cover a lot of things that I did this week at Sugarwood, our 1790 countryside home in New England. I'm sharing what I do to help manage and lessen my anxiety, some garden updates, a casual table setting for our Easter Brunch, and a few other things around the home. I will also be sharing a little something about me you didn't know... I deal with a mild stutter and I'm sharing an unedited clip of that for the first time ever.

Thanks for sharing your health issues with us. There are so many things that others deal with and you just never know what is going on in someone else's world. You really do an amazing job with everything that you tackle even if it takes a little bit longer. Make that broken teapot into a planter or bird feeder.
And Oh that Willow and her ball. She is such a oy and I also love how Ben gave you little peck on the cheek before you headed out with your Mom. You are very lucky to have all three of them in your life.

ADHD, anxiety, horror about driving on hyways with large trucks, drinking Lemon Balm tea to calm down the extra busy mind... Linda, I thought you were talking about me - kindred spirit indeed. Now I do not feel so alone about the issues you mentioned. Gardening frees me a bit of anxiety, but what frees me from anxiety the most are my horses. The beautiful lawn and barn you have are your answer to free yourself completely from the anxiety, at least for longer periods of time. Give yourself a big gift and get yourself a couple of horses, even if they are just ponies. Brushing a horse, sitting in a chair watching the horses graze, is one of the most peaceful things I do for myself as all of the anxiety falls away and I can be completely in the moment. Sipping Lemon balm tea for the extra twist of peace as I share space with my horses is like a trip to heaven.

One of my favorite things about you and your channel is that you present many different angles to living well and with elegance, but you don’t take yourself too seriously and you don’t seem haughty or prideful which makes you so relatable and I can think we could be good friends in real life. Thanks for being you and doing your channel the way you do. 💜

My mind trap is when I have house envy and become convinced any one with such a nice home ( like yours) must have no problems at all. But this is magical thinking we all struggle. Do you think being creative helps with these feelings? It helps me in the moment I am painting or engaged in an organizing task and that helps me navigate a harder day. Sometimes I wish my mind would not always need the challenge and would just relax. Alas....I do not seem to be built that way.

Linda, you are amazing! We all love you exactly as you are. You help me keep calm by watching your videos. They are peaceful and beautiful with your scenery of awesome nature, which I absolutely love. There's nothing like it.
I deal with anxiety among other things, and just watching you helps me to enjoy the little things in life. Especially early morning sunrises 🌅 which I don't see because I am a night owl and not by choice it's my circadian rhythm since I was born. Enjoy your day, and Thank you for sharing.
That view in your wine glass 🍷 was amazing. ❤

You manage to achieve so much, Linda. You do have the upper hand on your health issues. They seem to be well managed and part of who you are as a whole person. I hope you can find that little bit of extra confidence to do those live sessions -- you have so much to offer. 😊

Get up at 4 or 4:30 every day. Love getting things done early. I go outside right at sunrise to work the spring things in the yard. Husband has Parkinsons so it is upnto me now. Wonderful to get things done super early.

I love your honesty and humor about your challenges. My father, who has passed on, had a stutter which wasn't obvious unless he was over tired. My husband had a stutter his whole life until he went in the navy! (😳) and now at the age of 72 still has what I call a "hesitation" when talking to people in certain situations. He is normally very quiet and uses the least amount of words he has to when communicating... common in people who stutter.
