I have learned long ago never pay someone something you can do your self. Even though you may only have that noise on one side it's best practice to always replace in pairs. Im off to do the same on my 3.7 2014. Thanks for the awsome video.
Great video!! I do most of my work on my cars and its very satisfying when I get on the car and the issue is resolved. That's the moment I feel like a God. Lol. Great job!!!
It did have a knocking sound and was difficult to identify where it was coming from while driving. I was able to confirm by pushing down and/or pulling up on the wheel well over the tire. It didn't need to move much to duplicate the noise.
Can you describe the sound to me? I'm getting a rattling sound but only at highway speeds. Also, get a "rubbing" sound when turning the wheel at low speed 5mph or less. Thanks.
It was a subtle knocking. It could only be heard at slower speeds and most noticeable when going over a bump or uneven pavement such as driving from the driveway onto the road or going over a speed bump. I could reproduce it by pushing down over the wheel or lifting on the wheel well over the tire.
The sound was in the front but could be a bit deceiving if listening for it while driving. However, if I lifted up on the wheel well with just my hands, it would also make the noise.
This is proof that you can do anything the dealer can do. This video is real and natural and an inspiration for others. Congratulations! !

The feeling of accomplishment is another great reason to do it yourself. I hope it all worked out well for you!
Excellent DIY overview - very helpful for other 14' stang owners to learn how to save some money and take pride in doing the work yourself.

Like the 2V GT in the background 👀
Is the noise like hollow knocking sound? I get it on uneven pavement..

@@darinvader9766 Okay. Thanks for the reply. I found a different video and I believe now it's the rack and pinion epas that's making the noise.
@@freakrule21 Excellent......Best of luck!!!
Was the sound in the rear or the front of your car?
