Just ordered 100 transfers from supa color .can’t wait to get them .getting a heat press tomorrow.been watching your vids and said been buying stuff little by little to start a brand .thanks for the vids .
depends what you consider high quality? if its half tones. yeah this shop nailed it. but for me print clarity and hand feel is what i consider quality. but your right its all personal preference.
yeah man. this halftone print came out good. but the artwork had to be set up right for it to come out the way it did. the first 3 runs wasnt this crisp.
supa for multi color designs and plastisol transfers for single, double, triple spot color designs. screen print isnt really needed in my work flow any more. i have the space to knock out bigger orders now so i really dont need to outsource screen print work any more.
The screen printed one is obviously the better quality print in this video, with that said Supacolor has its place for anyone that don't have equipment or that wants to learn the business. Screen Printing will always give the best results hands down!
you missed a big part of your own comment. "screen printing will always give the best results (when done correctly)" just cause somebody has a 4 color carousel doesnt mean they know how to print 4 colors. the screen printing technique and knowledge is the biggest factor in your statement. i see way more cracked screen prints from poor curing then i do supacolor prints.
Dope vinformative ideo m'boy! Reminds me of my boy T's classic Queenbridge shirt/ FM Expres video. You went into super detail and gave great visuals. Luh ya or that.
Like your style homie. I’m a lettering artist from New Mexico so I dig your shirt styles. And appreciate your knowledge. I’m a tattoo artist getting i to shirts now. Much respect ese.
Great vid...thanks for sharing...the shirts don't seem that different at the 6ft distance....like if someone was wearing it....maybe that black would be noticeable...but dont think it would be that noticeable unless they were side by side...great comparison tho...thanks again!
Great video! I'm just curious do you know off hand if you can get that white glow around the word GARDENA with the supacolor transfer just like the shirt that was screen printed
the way this artwork was set up, they couldnt do it because the adhesive lays flat and even. theres no gradient in the adhesive. but maybe if you set your artwork up with a clean halftone they can accomplish it. but as a gradient/glow with no backing its hard to print.
i havent screen printed in years. but a really good channel with great content about screen printing is my brotha Rhybeats. check out his channel. good source of info
The halftone screen around the edge looks better on the screen printed shirt. Did you have to adjust your art or did they adjust it for you. Is Supacolor best for Vector mostly?

Brandoh, I didn't see any of your previous videos talking specifically about sheen and touch differences between different transfer companies and the differences in their transfer products.. I would want the applied transfer to have little or no sheen so it wouldn't visually separate itself from the t shirt fabric. I think this is pretty important. Also, can you speak to the differences in touch in terms of smoothness, texture, and hand feel as opposed to the feel of the t shirt fabric itself. I think the differences between transfer companies may seem subtle but are not just relevant to t shirt buyers also should be even more important to t shirt designers.
do you mean use your iron to apply the transfer? no you cant. you need a heat press to apply it correctly. but if you mean after the shirt has been pressed with the transfer and you wanna iron the shirt before you wear it to get the wrinkles out. no you can not iron over the transfer. you gotta remember that its ink, if you heat it up you can melt the ink and mess up the shirt.
any mail scale will work. find a cheap one on amazon. you'll be straight. i might have a link to the one i use in my description box under "shipping supplies" check it out
hi, i dont 100% understand this question. but i would find a design software like photoshop or illustrator, start creating your logo. make it a brand name by operating your business under that name
The difference is that anything screen printed is actually art. Nothing about heat on transfers is any form of art and nothing done by the process is worth anything. There are screen prints worth millions. Also screen-printed t-shirts hold value. Like old concert t-shirts. Most of them were screen printed. Concert shirts from the 80s can go for thousands. They are considered art works to some extent. The value grows.
very good points but the transfer is also screen printed hahahaaa. its just cured differently haha but the print method is exactly the same hahahaa but concert shirts that are worth thousands are valued more for the blank its printed on. vintage t shirts are sought after because of the t shirt. Reason why single stitch is listed on all vintage shirts. the print, the band, the tour... dates the shirt but the blank t shirt its printed on is what drives the price.
also, no credit to the actual artist that creates the artwork to be printed? hahaa only the screen printer is making art but not the artist who designed it?
yes, I know. the bad thing about screen printing is that you are limited on colors and it is not very productive. people don't really buy t-shirts for art. most of the concert t's got trashed. so not many left. i am more so speaking of prints on canvas. @@BigBrandoh

i have dtg printed 6 shirts for comparison. all from different dtg machines and printers. from converted epsons to Omni's. did not compare. nothing wrong with dtg. i have dtg printers in my shop. but cost of investment on a printer vs. ordering transfers... cant compete.
not better but more cost effective. invest in $15k+ printer + consumables. or order supa color transfers? for one off multi color jobs DTG is a life saver. but anything over 20. transfers all day. supa turn around is 1-2 days. dtg printer in my shop, convenient. still have to pretreat, print, cure. supa transfers, place and press
yeah thats a personal preference. i personally dont like the texture of it. i prefer a more soft hand feel. but everybody likes different things! thanks for watchin
depends what you compare it too. an 11.5x15 multi color design from my usual go to transfer company charges $5.06 a sheet at 100 sheets 8 day turn around. same design and size at supa is $4.49 a sheet at 100 sheets with a 2 day turn around. gotta remember that multi color designs will always cost more. but its all about what you want to offer and what fits your budget. at the end of the day its all personal preference.
@@BigBrandoh i just look at it like by that pricing id just send it to my DTG company. $5.50 a shirt, shirt and print. Smaller stuff like the 4x4 is great but the full size 11x16 is just kinda high for me.

Screen print all the way for me. clothing is also about feel and texture, Supacolour just feels to much like a sticker to me.
Just got prints from supacolor last night, man they don't miss, appreciate you sharing your knowledge.
Thanks for giving us youtubers some of your insights and content on stuff from your patron circuit. You know we cheap.

I agree. Screen print looks more blended. Supa color looks like a sticker. Analog vs Digital. Lol
That screen printed one looks really good
yeah man. this halftone print came out good. but the artwork had to be set up right for it to come out the way it did. the first 3 runs wasnt this crisp.

The halftone screen around the edge looks better on the screen printed shirt. Did you have to adjust your art or did they adjust it for you. Is Supacolor best for Vector mostly?
For the screen printed one, I don't know how they got such good quality out of those halftones. I try to avoid halftones altogether.
the shop that printed these been in business a long time. i've got some other prints from them with more detail that they nailed. really nice work.
lot of it has to do with how correctly ur steps are before you get to the screens
Supacolor is recommended for multiple color prints. Trying to get a free sample. I have to purchase something over $15 bucks?
i think you make an account and request a sample pack from them. try the link in my description box.
