Best video on youtube. I been struggling with this to the point I'm spending like an hour trying to center the shirt and the design only to end up with a crooked design anyway. This is super helpful! Thank you so much
love your videos. i know everytime i'm questioning something, i can just go to your channel and find the answer i need. very thorough and straight up. !
Thanks for doing this video tip. I’ve been trying to get away from folding my garments to find the center. My 15” x 15” heat press doesn’t have a slide out platten. I’ll give this a try again. Pockets tend to give me problems with lining the design up. I’m going to mark the back of my press. I had even considered using a laser beam to line up the garments. 10:41
Big Brandon, thank you for the tips and your channel is niii-ce! How do you get transfers that are cut individually to line up straight horizontally across the t-shirt? Wife uses Cricut sometimes to do vinyl heat transfers but they are layered and have to be cut and pressed one at a time. It’s a struggle sometimes getting a layer to line up horizontally and not look crooked getting up or down. Do you have sire fire technique like the one in this video?
wow thank you very much for the video friend, i messed up some tees for a client yesterday and thats what got me into your video. I hope i wont be getting these problems in the future with these steps
Thats great information...ive used the tape on the press way from another video i believe....but still the information is a great value to anyone....thank you again for sharing...
That is my flaw with my t-shirts - ALWAYS CROOKED!! Ugh!! 🤦🏾♀️ I am definitely trying this today! You had given me the tape trick before but this added info I am hoping is going to help as well. Thanks again for sharing. 😁
def. will help me with the pinching! the place i work .i heat press images and im always doin extra stuff to make sure its straight and this will help!! thank you!
Fantastic video, thanks! What do you suggest for the left chest small transfers, is it half the shirt like with the central image but then half again, so effectively, quarter of the shirt as a centre point?
Thank you I can press by sight straight t shirt on a 16 x 20 on a 15 x 15 everything I press came out crooked so I stopped pressing thanks I'm good now back pressing
I really need a slide out heat press. Thanks for putting this video out though bro. I got these rulers in here and like you said, they’re not really much help at all.
This was so helpful. Can I ask a question - my daughter wants an image on both the front and back of a hoodie. How do I ensure that I don’t over heat the first image when I go to press the second image - so once I have pressed down the first image - I am worried I will scorch that image when I turn it over to do the back. Should I only “tack” down the front image so I don’t over press. Does that make sense. Sorry.
the direct heat comes from the top. i press front and backs all the time with no issues. look at my video "supacolor start to finish" i show the whole process
This is SO great!! Any tips how to make the design level? Mine ends up tilted sometimes. Also, I lined up a collar perfectly but there was way more tshirt on one side of the press than the other. I think the collar was on crooked lol What then? Thanks again!!
My Auto Heat press has a triangle heat stamped as a warning plat is hot symbol, but that triangle is the center of the press, so they probably thought of this when manufacturing the press. Kinda awesome. I went to mark the center line with a marker only to notice the triangle in the same spot.
I forgot to ask you, in creating/designing for tee shirts how are you doing this? I tried Canva because it's free but I have to improve in this area. I'm actually printing my own art on tee shirts. That's the niche that I'm building. I haven't sold one shirt yet but that's okay since I haven't perfected my process. Your lessons are very valuable to me and I appreciate you greatly. I'm happy to send you a shirt once I'm better.
I like the idea of marking your center. I’ve always just folded my shirts and pressed to find my center but it does take way more time. I’m going to try this method. I was looking at lasers but I can’t figure out how to use those lol. Thank you
Thank you for your great instructions. T shirt transfers are new to me and this video really help in creating a workflow. Using a line to follow worked great and all I have is one of those hand press machine! Thanks again!
Really solid "how-to" video.... no wasted time or BS, just here it is. I use the same basic method for my shirt alignment (bigger shirts are more difficult to guess from the overhang for me), for my transfers... I do keep a ruler handy to check spacing from the sides (i'm going to try the pinch method, that looks like a time saver) Thanks!
I agree with everything here. But one thing for sure , it’s eyeballing it,& by hand placement that could be the best way, with clothing it’s amazing how it’s not s sewn together square & it still looks good lol Ty
yeeeeeee tape, sticker, marker, white out... whatever you got laying around hahahaa. whatever it takes to speed up the process and get them orders out bruh
@BigBrandoh thanks mate. So it wouldn't affect the film pressing down on the sleeves or collar area? I'm in NZ as well so you got people all over watching your vids, thanks 🙏🏽
This is by far the biggest struggle I have printing my Tshirts. I'm going to try it. Quick Question My heat press Has these foam square pads that came with it. Do I need to keep them on my heat press when I'm pressing a tshirt?
no. back placement is all eyeball. i suggest asking somebody to wear a shirt in front of your. put a piece of tape on a shirt where you want your design to land and then measure that and use it as your guide for back designs. that way you place it where you feel looks best
I swear….three years in and I’m STILL double checking for my crooked work. 🤦🏾♂️ THANK YOUUUUUU x 💯,000,000‼️ *Edit: I’ve DEFINITELY been goin’ off the tag for the center. 🤦🏾♂️ these are 🔥 tips. 🙌🏽 🏆 #BigBrandoh4President 🇺🇸
I’m new to DTF world and pressing. I get your technique for center. Any pointers to make sure the words read straight across. Also, I have a picture of man holding a book in the air, some of my presses it looks like leaning tower of Pisa. Any tips on that? Thanks for the video
@@user-lu4qe5td3o hit the youtube search bar and look up "big brandoh left chest print" you'll see how i place those prints. do the same and put the tape on your press
most time i've struggled trying to center a shirt was 30 minutes, usually it's about 9-12 per shirt. it just takes me forever, especially when the arm pits aren't even sewn straight. they're almost always poorly stitched (gildan shirts), it' makes it impossible to deal with. is there a better brand of shirt?
You did an excellent job teaching this. You could actually be a school teacher.
BEEN AT THIS FOR OVER 2 YEARS AND THIS IS ONE OF MY BIGGEST HEADACHES!! VERY GOOD TIP. THANK YOU!
The old school technique is still tried and true. Thanks Kuya Brandoh ✊🏽

love your videos. i know everytime i'm questioning something, i can just go to your channel and find the answer i need. very thorough and straight up. !
Is the 4 finger method used on all sizes?
My problem is the rotation of the design itself. It’s always slightly crooked. Aligned perfect on the shirt, but rotated crooked.
Mine too
This is such simple and easy advice without a bunch of gadgets.
Really great video! You are an excellent teacher!
Thank you so much for this video! 3 crooked transfers and I was getting so frustrated. This is a huge help thank you!
You're the best teacher. Thank you so much. Love & Respect to you.
thank you for watchin and for the continued support. im glad these vids can help you out
Another solid video. Also, got to say that you have one of the best logos I've ever seen.

This was so helpful since this is my biggest struggle and is what takes me too much time! 🤪 thanks a bunch!
Thank you. I am a beginner and got all the fancy rulers none of which work... I thought it was me being bad at it but this really helps❤😊

Can you suggest the best dtf printer to purchase ?
Great info! I really needed this. Will this technique work the same with a hoodie?

Hey Brandoh, I noticed you didn't thread the shirt in this video. Do you always lay down shirts completely on top instead of threading?

Hey bro, what size machine would you use for kids shirts size 5 to 12?
15x15 is the best all around size heat press. in my opinion

Man, good-looking out....appreciate all your time!!
Salute big G; thank you for your time
💯👊🏾💯👊🏾 thanks for watchin
Brandoh...mucho thanks for these info vids. Really helps the little guys!!
How did you measure to fine the center mark in your heat press? Did you measure the metal piece or the part that you put the shirt on
with a ruler. measure the platen you put the shirt on. thats all that matters.
I can't wait to try this. I keep messing up shirts even when using the fancy rulers.
Does Big Brandoh unplug his heat press nation HP like it says to on the side ( when not in use )
hahaha i never noticed that warning. but no i dont. i keep it plugged in.
@@BigBrandoh Bahaha because I’m like man I get tired of unplugging it

Quick Question
My heat press Has these foam square pads that came with it. Do I need to keep them on my heat press when I'm pressing a tshirt?
Thanks Brandoh Love your Work Gary Hobart Tasmania Cheers
Thanks for the great tip. Instantly removed my placement anxiety!
I'm going to try this! Do you use the same technique with 4 fingers for a back design?

I have a question how do you do pockets? Most of my heat transfer will be on the pocket.
This is a very good walk through of the process. Really appreciate it.
