    I am a huge fan of our XC60 T8, but I always point out, with a PHEV it's really about your driving pattern. If you mostly drive within the EV range between opportunities to charge, it is the best way to go, IMO. I love the V60, wanted to get it but my wife wanted the XC60, so we I voted and I lost 1-1.

    Great Video again! As i said, love my own V 60 D4 mj 2019 a lot! But yes indeed, getting into the car is sometimes a bit uncomfortable, as the car is that low. But this makes it look really sporty!❤

    We have the Volvo V60 T8 Long range 2023 and it's the best car we ever had. It is so quick and steady (even at 180kmh speeds in Germany). We love it. (2 adults, 3 kids ) We had two V90 D3 (2018 and 2021) and this is so much better in every way. It is also so safe to drive in winter, cause we live in Finland.

    I couldn't find a MY23 V60 with the specs that I wanted so I went for the MY23 S60 mild hybrid. I don't regret it one bit, but I gotta say, the V60 looks awesome! I got mine with only 13000km and a great price! More people should consider buying a Volvo.

    Owner of a 2019 Volvo V60 T5. Such a great package. I have loved the spot-on proportions of the V60 ever since it was revealed and I bet the looks won't get worse with age ;). From an overall user experience standpoint, the car is amazing. The ergonomics and comfort levels are great. Pre-heating and remote start with Volvo app makes it so nice on chilly mornings. The cruise control / driver aids package is super easy to use, non-intrusive and works smoothly, Pilot Assist really takes the strain away on longer trips. The ventilated Nappa seats in mine give it a sense of uniqueness as few V60s have these. It has loads of room in both rows and a huge boot area, but doesn't feel or look like I'm driving a barge. All touchpoints are high quality and the car feels like it's made to last.
    A small downside compared to a couple of other cars I've owned in the recent past is that the powertrain isn't exactly engaging or characterful. Nor is the steering feel. But it's not an issue if you don't push the car and get used to the relaxed driving style it excels at.
    From the software side I wish they would have kept improving Sensus a bit more with some software updates - the 1/2 screen Apple Carplay isn't the best, especially as the other system tiles visible on top don't carry any extra value. The FM radio tile doesn't show the RDS data row when condensed, also it's not displayed in the driver's display so I'm missing out on song titles etc. Even my 2006 C30 had a better setup. Also, accessing Favourite radio stations or destinations in the built-in navi could be more upfront in the interface. Anyway, this all applies to pre-Google cars, so I apologise for the off-topic rant.
    All in all, I'm finding the V60 such a pleasant overall package that without any true shortcomings. The Alfa Romeo Giulia I had before was the ultimate driving machine, but much mediocre user overall experience as an everyday vehicle, mostly because of the basic software and little to no driver aids (pre-facelift). It also didn't turn very well when manouvering, probably had the turning radius of a P2 Volvo. The current-gen pre-LCI BMW 320d xDrive I had before that was amazing in many ways, but a 2.0 diesel with M-sport package - as they most are - was quite an oxymoron and beyond being really competent - dare I say a bit soulless. The super highly trimmed B8 Passat before that could actually match the Volvo and even exceed it in terms of the powertrain, technology, comfort and quality inside, but it did feel more of a barge to drive and make me feel like middle-aged executive, plus I'd see another Passat on every traffic light. Unlike these three though, the Volvo just does not have anything that annoys me to the extent that I'd like to get rid of it.

If i need to recharge the battery during driving the better way is to use the ''CHARGE'' from infotainment system or the ''B'' from the gear. Thanks your advice in advance.

    • @thom-lov
      @thom-lov  4 місяці тому +1

      More or less same same actually. As for luggage space the XC60 is a bit better. Then for electric range the V60 is a bit better due to its shape/height. All in all they are quite similar in my opinion. Be aware that nothing can probably beat the space of a superb, haha!

    Just bought a V60 Recharge Polestar Engineered and said goodbye to my 2007 V70R. I will miss it. Visibility is down a bit and getting used to that. Not worried about resale since I plan to drive this for another 16 years. Why not EV? I’m getting EV for 80% of my driving and I don’t have to fight for the few chargers in the US when I really need it. I am also betting current EVs may not have great resale as the tech improves and charger wars are allowed to continue.

    I wonder what is going on? The petrol-engines are almost reaching for the Group B-era, regarding horsepower and power in general. Who is interested in being friendly regarding nature, with these beasts? I prefer and I am driving a diesel-volvo and I am going to buy a D6 for my daily driving. Not for the enviroment, but for the practicality and I get the electricity for "free". 300-500 bhp for driving a car? Makes no sense. Especially not a Volvo. If it were a SAAB, it would of course be a total different thing. 🙂
