Ultimately, i love my 3.0.
I tested new 2022 T6 and it was surprisingly fast. 0-100kmh 4.79 with Dragy.
I do not know how much faster +105hp T8 is.
What happened to including draggy times?
It think I saw a comment on another video about that, it's too much work to include that
@@Schreibtisch1 Just 2 trimmed videos, what's so hard LMAO.
@@zacharypowell1939 Idk, I was just repeating what I read
Why no type r vs type s??? I thought u said u were going to post soon
Another great video Sam!!! Thank you
Thank you
Bro civic and accord all day
Theoretically the Type R should be blowing out the Volvo because it's so much lighter and the HPs are comparable, but the auto trans give the Volvo a chance. Computer shifting is always more efficient than manual.
That and pretty sure the AWD helps a ton!
That's not even the fast volvo get the top of line with polestar
Love the wheels on that Civic Type R
In it's 2022 version which I drive, the recharge T6 has 350HP .......it's bloody fast :)
We need a hemi Rt vs Civic type r please
Manual shifting only gains you hp in a rev range that your torque has already started to drop off in .
And that Civic owner needs to start utilising his E brake to load up the driveline on launch.
Stiffer springs in the rear would help to .
Automatic gearboxes nowadays shifts faster and more efficiently than manuals. That's what is missing in a Type R, a DCT and AWD!
I can't wait till I can buy a fully automated sports car. I can then sit at home on my couch, and my car can drive itself to a race track and come back home at the end of the day.
Did he money shift to second and miss 4th ?
I’m curious ?? Not sure how he missed it ?
4th gear synchro is nasty on my car!
@@danieldunn3429 so did he go from 3rd to second? lol
@@christianservin7635 no It just locked me out of 4th. I’m the driver haha
@@danieldunn3429 lmao.. I see I see, just grabbed my 21 type r and I money shifted from 3 to second 🥲😭 have you downshifted by accident before? And tranny and clutch ok??
@@danieldunn3429 also great driving man, are you the same driver as all the other white type R videos ??
The Volvo wagon is actually 1100 pounds heavier than the Type R which is the equivalent of a 110 hp penalty.
I have the Volvo V40 T2 2.0L 2017 for now. It's a great car and alright for my usage, but for my next car, I might stick eith a Volvo S60 T8 with around 400hp
This WILL be my first car, T6 Inscription in black 🖤
4wd and automatic would be tough for the Honda to beat.
nice video i got a 1997 VOLVO 850 T5 R and wil do 6.5 seconds 60 miles its still very fast !! and fun to drive hallo from VOLVO CARS SAN DIEGO
Word to the wise, never, ever, ever, EVER, buy a used manual car in USA.
I have a 2021 V60 T8 Polestar. Much different. MUCH faster. Would not lose to Civic-Type R in drag or roll and wouldn't be far behind it on track thanks to Polestar tuned suspension with Öhlins components. All of this while, at the same time, achieving over 35MPG on highway driving and 75eMPG around town. And with Fed and State colectively rebating $7500 back, makes it a steal!
Your a lucky guy, it's a rare car and I love it. I have a 2020 V60 CC, my favorite is the EPIC Bowers&Wilkins audio. I may eventually get a Volvo EV.
Indeed - It took me 8 months to get it (ordered it Nov 2020 and received it June 2021). But well worth th wait as there is nothing on the road like it - Unique and capable
I have 2020 V60 Polestar. Really nice car. New ones (2024 models) have bigger ~19kwh battery + 7.4kw charging.
You should do a rematch with the newer drivetrain!
The Civic Typer R driver epitomized what is to fail at driving. The car bogged down and the driver missed a gear.
Hoping to buy an s60 t5 this week , wish it was the t6 wagon but I can't afford that lol
Makes me wonder what the T6 hybrid would do. It has a bit more weight, but also 350hp and 656nm.
I have a T6 recharge hybrid with 18Kwh battery and AWD option. Not polestar upgraded.
It is pretty quick and handles rather well for the additional weight of the battery. It doesn't feel like it needs any additional power although the chassis clearly could handle it without fuss.Turn in is actually better than my previous 3.0 litre V6 diesel A4 Avant.
The clever hybrid AWD option proved itself last winter when it enabled the car to climb a snow packed single track lane in Grindelwald on summer tyres.
That Volvo wagon looks nice
VOLVO. ARE TRULY GREAT 👍 PERFORMANCE I HAVE. 1997 850. T5 R VERY FAST !! VOLVO. TOP. SPEED 152 MILES GREAT VIDEO 😀💪👍
And on Road coarse the R would laugh at the Volvo
But not on drag strip it got beat
Wish Honda made a Type R Wagon 🤔 I'd seriously look at it
A sedan version of this tried to race me yesterday to 100kmph at the light's on the highway.
And lost miserably against my 950kg 1984 Mitsubishi GSR Cordia Turbo.
1700kg is way to heavy for this vehicle to perform well , it's more of a cruiser and less of track vehicle.
So The Volvo won 😂
1. It’s an estate car !
2. Looks nicer
3. Safer
4.more reliable
5. The launch was better on the Volvo on every single race (launch is the most important in all street races)
So overall the Volvo wins!
VOLVO 👑
Hey sam, what ever happened to that tuned RDX race
Is coming
Type R driver shifted at like 5,000 rpm. He short shifted and missed a shift numerous times. WTF??? Try redlining next time and get a guy that can drive standard. That dude shifts like he learned to drive standard on Xbox.
Since when is a t6 a 4cylinder ?
Not many know about volvos man sleepers for sure
We need and r3 vs the type r civic. Or at least a modded s3 .
not convinced the volvo was trying at the end, just give it a tune and bam, back in the game if thats the case...
And in bends, you take Honda every day?
Good at the launch not so good at getting it in 4th gear
Ha. Blind spot monitoring sensor let's you know when they're catching up.
I have a volvo xc60 t6 with a polestar tune if you want to race.
830 lbs heavier, same size engine, of course the civic wins. Lots of handicapped weight to overcome despite having AWD.
Have a V60 T6, now I have a V60 T8 PE - should have done it with the T8 would have killed it. I laugh light to light when driving it, and my fun car is a 1M :)
a stage 1 tune on that V60 and it will kill!!
Type r driver looked like he was shifting too early.
I was thinking about that too. Didn’t sound like the engine was wound out all the way but it looks like he was really concentrating on watching the revs so who knows…
I have a 2013 Volvo s 60 r polestar it's pretty quick volvos are way under rated.there not even putting an r design Volvo against Hondas r design.
Volvo rims what size are they. Which brand. They look sexy. I just bought a 2022 v60 r design wagon in black these really suit the wagon.Anyone have info on these rims. Cheers
I'm the owner. 20x9 Ace Driven Wheels
That Volvo looks so representable and yet screams raw porn, the civic is so sadly designed, awkward and 100 joints
PAH! Unusual suspect. Turbo and supercharged is Just Volvo's way of saying eat my swedish fish.
