RIP, Sean Connery. 1930-2020 This is the ultimate father and son story of the Indiana Jones film series. Before Sean Connery was cast as Henry Jones, Sir Laurence Olivier was considered for the part, but fell ill with Pneumonia. Gregory Peck (To Kill A Mockingbird) was even considered for the role. Olivier passed away in July 1989, 2 months after the films release.
Harrison Ford has been in a LOT of movies that are great choices. As far as action films go, he played Jack Ryan in two movies ("Patriot Games" & "Clear and Present Danger"), and was in "Air Force One", and "The Fugitive"; Dramas like "Witness", "Regarding Henry", and "42"; Comedies like "Six Days, Seven Nights", "Working Girl", and "Morning Glory"; and Sci-Fi movies like "Ender's Game", "Blade Runner", and "Blade Runner 2049".... just to name a few.
At one point, Harrison Ford was in seven of the top ten grossing movies ever. The first three Star Wars movies, the three Indiana Jones movies and Witness was at number ten. Obviously other movies have come along and supplanted them. But such an amazing accomplishment.
Raiders of the Lost Ark is the first. Easy to remember as it's the one that *introduced* the character. Only then did we have 'Indiana Jones And the Temple of Doom' and then 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade' to complete the trilogy. Yes, complete.
And you can see now why Indy has a fear of snakes from when he fell in the train snake pit. You’ll have to watch the final two Indiana jones movies even though they ain’t as good as the three you have watched but still watchable to complete the set

When they first made this movie, the ancient rock-hewn Nabatean city of Petra (filming location of the Grail's sanctuary) was still relatively unknown to most people... seeing it on screen was pretty impressive. Fast forward to the present and they seem to use it in everything, even though a lot people would recognize it for what it actually is. It was even in one of those idiotic Michael Bay Transformers movies ... (in a scene where they drive from the Pyramids of Egypt to Petra in about an hour or so when in real life that trip would take probably 2 days plus another day sitting in customs Egypt-Israel-Jordan) I visited the real site in 2014. Pretty cool. Some modern scholars have even hypothesized that it may have been the true home town of the Muslim prophet Muhammad, not Mecca.
Biblical names are adapted according to whatever language they were being translated into/from. Not to mention different alphabets. Hence the Jehovah bit. Surely you don't think that people were *actually* named Matt and John back in those days? (The real question should be why is there a tile with a "J" in the first place?)

(in a scene where they drive from the Pyramids of Egypt to Petra in about an hour or so when in real life that trip would take probably 2 days plus another day sitting in customs Egypt-Israel-Jordan)
I visited the real site in 2014. Pretty cool. Some modern scholars have even hypothesized that it may have been the true home town of the Muslim prophet Muhammad, not Mecca.
Yeah when my daughter went they weren't allowed to go inside. I wonder how big it is in there
@@AwesomeUSMovies they're still repairing the floors from when the last group of Nazis tried to steal the Grail.
Biblical names are adapted according to whatever language they were being translated into/from. Not to mention different alphabets. Hence the Jehovah bit. Surely you don't think that people were *actually* named Matt and John back in those days?
(The real question should be why is there a tile with a "J" in the first place?)
Indiana Jones and The Melty Face One. A truly classic film!

Hello James, since you like to read, you've probably read Tom Clancy novel, well Ford Started in two movies based on those novels, Patriot Games, and Clear and Present Danger, the first one of those was Hunt for Red October with the late Sir Sean Connery.
I've already reacted to hunt for Red October, but I need to get to some of the other Jack Ryan films. I know there's more than a couple. I didn't know the Harrison Ford is in them cuz he wasn't in Red October but the dad was.
cross on the rock tablet is a Knights Templars Cross
You should put the James Bond films on the list with a young Sean Connery, starting with Doctor No.
Look for "The Frisco Kid," an underrated Western comedy starring Harrison Ford and Gene Wilder (Willy Wonka, Young Frankenstein).
34:10 You inadvertently rode the algorithm; the fifth one is imminent.
If you like the Character of Indiana Jones, you could try and react to The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, TV show.
I guess this is THE movie to review right now. Two other reaction channels I sub to reacted to it yesterday also. You're all in cahoots, lol! I'm watching yours first though.
Really, that's crazy!!!
16:05 This is Bond.
