When Connery says ,"Indiana, let it go." Gets me every time
Same. It’s the tone.
@@EOMReacts exactly. That calm voice...."I thought I'd lost you." Is another one. Such a well directed film.
Especially since it's the first time he didn't call him Junior but his own chosen name.
This is what I feel like saying to everyone who talks mess about the newer films. The other two are way overhated. If you like Indy, watch the other ones, J.
This is my favorite of the Indiana Jones movies. The dynamic between him and Sean Connery is one of the funniest put on film. Give the co pilots a pet from me, please, and God bless you, J and Blank.
I will let them know the belly rubs is on you.
I can never decide if I love this more than Raiders, but every time I'm stuck in traffic, change lanes, only to slow down even more, I can't help but mutter "I chose...poorly."
This is my favorite one lol
A sports station in my city uses that when people lose the trivia game. Winners, wisely.
"A Great Value Indiana Jones" I laughed so hard for so long!
🤣🤣🤣
The actor who plays Indie's best Egyptian friend also played in the "Lord of the Rings" movies, as Gimli the axe-wielding Dwarf, one of Frodo's loyal companions.
The boy who plays young Indiana Jones was actor River Phoenix, a successful actor building up to a strong Hollywood career, when he died of a drug overdose on the sidewalk outside a popular nightclub, at age 23. River's younger brother is the famous actor Joaquin Phoenix, who has played Johnny Cash and won the Academy Award for his tragic portrayal of The Joker a few years ago.
Yeps. And Alfred Molina (Satipo - the guy who betrayed Indiana Jones in the first Movie by taking the golden idol) played Doc Oc in Spider-Man 2
He was also a regular in the tv series _"Sliders."_
Yes! River Phoenix was amazing.
As for the fourth Indiana Jones movie, it was by no means as good as the others. But it was…okay. It was nice to see Marion and Indy together again, anyway.
This has to be my favourite of the Indiana Jones Trilogy.
The onscreen rapport between Harrison Ford and Sean Connery, really took the film to another level.
Many thanks for a great review
like many have said, the 4th one isn't great but still worth watching at least once. especially for a reaction channel. kind of like the tremors movies, they go down hill but still worth a watch. same could be said for die hard. the last one isn't great but if you're gonna do the series you have to watch it.
Actually, Indiana Jones WAS literally named after a dog, George Lucas' Malmute!
I swear, I just love that your dogs are always nearby. What a lil ham you have there, “look at me standing up dad!” Adorable!!! Anyone that obviously loves animals is an a-ok person in my book. Been really enjoying your reactions.
May your views and likes always be equal. 🙏
Thanks so much for the kind words, and we're glad to have you here and enjoying!
I actually have a document with Hitler's signature on it. It's a boring troop deployment document but it's a neat piece of (horrible) history.
That is actually pretty cool
My favorite of the series. And I love the back story of young Indy. How he got a whip and how he got the scar on his chin (Harrison Ford has that scar in real life). How he got the hat and why he has a phobia of snakes. And the chemistry between Ford and Connery is fantastic.
That quick back story was amazing
5:39 Bullwhips are no joke. They require strength and precision otherwise you could hurt yourself.
11:30 😂 For every comment you made on how disgusting the tomb I kept telling myself "Oh, it gets worse!"
23:55 I'm just surprised he didn't get arrested on the spot for not saluting Hitler. Even forgetting to do so could get you tortured or killed.
24:15 Considering what happened to the Hindenburg I don't blame you.
27:25 A lot of plane crashes were caused by birds. In 2010 there were at least 5000 incidents reported.
Overall, this is my favorite Indiana Jones movie. 😁
This is hands down my favorite too
In Classical Latin, there is no letter J and no. "J" sound. (No letter J in Italian, either) The Romans used the letter I instead of J, so the Julius in Julius Caesar would have been written Iulius (or IVLIVS, as the Romans used V instead of U) and pronounced like "Yulius"
You're right about spiral staircases; they suck. I'm 6'2" (and I think you're *taller* than me, J). *Never* go inside the 🗽. The top is a spiral staircase that just gets tighter as you ascend and there's no way back. I nearly had a panic attack; needs to be a warning: big dudes beware.
He’s definitely taller than you. 6’5 all day.
Thanks for the heads up!
The same in the dome of st peter in the vatican city
That at young Indiana Jones is river Phoenix brother of Joaquin Phoenix aka the joker aka the guyvyou hate in the gladiator
Lol but I love him Joker. That reaction is coming next week
Dr. Schneider was played by an Irish actress, Alison Doody (Yes her last name is Doody, hey man it's Irish) and ironically she was also a 'Bond girl' (named Jenny Flex) in the 1985 James Bond film 'A View to a Kill' when Roger Moore was James Bond.
I sense a childhood crush :)
The prettiest Jones girl in my humble opinion... even if she was half-heartedly a nazi.
That would be pretty cool of him to react to some Bond movies. Or even the spy spoofs, from the original Casino Royale, the Matt Helm, and Flint movies to Austin Powers and Spy Hard.
I love how Bond Girls have ridiculous names.
It's weird to think that the actor (who I know from kids school drama Grange Hill in the UK) who plays Hitler could be considered a hugely successful actor. He was in Indiana Jones and got force choked in Star Wars, he was in 2 of the most successful film franchises ever
With Harrison Ford.
Julian Glover who plays, Donovan, the main bad guy in this movie, has been a villain in FIVE of the biggest franchises ever: Indy, Star Wars, Harry Potter, James Bond, & Game of Thrones.
Young Indiana Jones was played by the late River Phoenix, Joaquin Phoenix 's older brother. He, Keanu Reeves an Johnny depp were all close friends
34:43
Of course he picked the most simple cup.
Jesus was a carpenter.
He probably made the grail himself.
You are so blessed with your copilots. You'd be a cool dude to hang with. The last Indiana Jones movie is just a cash grab.
I truly appreciate comments like this. And thank you for showing my babies love
You really should see INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL (2008). It’s not great and it’s probably the least satisfying of the series but it’s entertaining and not a horrible movie. It has some neat stuff in it. It takes place in the 1950s, though, so Indy is definitely older and grayer.
By the way, the whole bit about the dog being named Indiana is a Lucasfilm in-joke. In reality, producer George Lucas had a big Alaskan Malamute dog named Indiana in the 70s. That dog inspired the character of Chewbacca, the Wookiee, in Star Wars. The image of George driving away in his convertible with Indiana in the passenger seat was said to have brought to life the image of Han Solo and Chewie side by side in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon. But George’s dog really was named Indiana, and also the name “Indiana Jones” is kind of a play on the 60s Steve McQueen character Nevada Smith.
That movie sucked
Too bad this is the last movie. Better than them milking the series to death.
River Phoenix and Harrison Ford were in a great movie together before this called The Mosquito Coast. I got a Delphi painted plate at the flea market that is a portrait of Dr Jones and Henry Jones Jr.
5:40
Yes. That's how Indy get his scar.
crystal skull is a good movie its just waiting for years for it an everyones expectations where sky high but 4th one is not that bad
You will see his first girl again if you watch Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
conery mentions that he should have mailed the diary to the marxs brothers. if you like comedy those are some good ones to watch. 'a day at the races' is my favorite but 'animal crackers' and 'a night at the opera' are also good ones.
River Phoenix R.I.P. (Young Indiana) ...was Joaquin Phoenix' (Bitch-ass, Gladiator) older brother ❤️
That's River Phoenix, the kid from "stand by me"
Also in English the lower case j has the little dot because it doubled as an i way back in the day and that's because latin is the basis for alot of languages
If you're wondering if a bird strike can bring a plane down, the answer is yes. In fact, if you like Tom Hanks movies, you could watch _Sully_ , a 2016 film directed by Clint Eastwood. It's about an actual 2009 flight in an Airbus A320 that hits a flock of geese at 3000 feet that knocks out both engines. The plane has to make an emergency landing on the Hudson river.
I’ve heard about that situation in real life but I never knew that it was birds that caused it.
@@J_EOMReacts Oh yeah, it happened. In fact, the actual pilot of that flight, Chesley Burnett "Sully" Sullenberger III, was just this year made the United States Permanent Representative to the International Civil Aviation Organization, and is the leader of the U.S. Mission to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). The position is formally known as the permanent representative of the United States of America, with the rank and status of ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary. The man did some hero work that day.
1990-2019 there were 227,000 wildlife strikes involving civil aircraft at US airports. With about 9 aircraft destroyed beyond repair per year.
The 4th was, "Eh"... but I'll watch with ya....it's part of the series and we got part 5 coming real soon....and remember, bro.... "Curiosity killed the Cat-but satisfaction brought it back."
"I love Sean Connery. I just want you all to know that."
Really hard to judge you there. That man was a peach.
Btw, the Nazis are so dumb in this movie, Hitler misspells his own name (Adolph instead of Adolf).
Great reaction bro! 👍🏿 This film is fantastic. Don't listen to the naysayers. Please react to Indiana Jones And The Kingdom of The Crystal Skull. In my opinion, that movie is a hot mess, but in a good way. Just lower your expectations and enjoy it.
The fourth one is actually really good at the start. It gets a little too cheesy and over the top in the chase scenes. And the ending is a bit X Files. I enjoyed the closure I got from it. AND we find out why it was that Indy was such a badass, he was more than an archeologist and college professor. As if that wasn’t enough already.
He’s def gonna watch it. May be a bit before we get it edited, but he said he has to see where the story goes.
you really don't want to know the stats on birds bringing planes down...it happens a bit too often for comfort, though mainly with single engines. Been ages since i saw this film, has some really neat moments. The fourth film was a bit weak, it's watchable but somehow manages to be even more contrived than the original premise is, loses some of that charm as a result, but it's not the worst movie to ever exist XD
There's about 25,000,000 flight hours by general aviation aircraft every year.
In 2020 11,083 bird strikes were reported. These resulted in reported damages approximately 775 times.
Listen...you are JL. With Indiana Doggo's in the sidecar.
I did say he ALMOST fought Hitler with a whip.
On the 4th one...your call, man. I will only say to me, it has a great opener, a very unique beginning car chase, a really nice fight scene at high speed and an outstanding atomic powered refrigerator. After that...some say not so great. "Goofy" might be the word to use. I says, if I was here to watch the movie, I would just watch the movie. But I ain't here to watch the movie, I am here to get chuckles with JL while Blank does excellent **bleep** & fire edits that also make me laugh. So basically, watch whatever you want. No reason not to watch the 4th one. Just remember to calls it like you sees it, don't be bashful on not liking what you don't like, or saying what you do like. Above all, keep having fun with it. (Nice to see the Vipper List growing.)
Much, much appreciated as usual, homie.
This is my fav, but it's because of Sean Connery, there was and is the Ark of the covenant, but there is no such thing as the holy grail.
"If Indiana Jones was R.Kelly, it'd be a serious problem." ... 🤣 lmao... I had to stop the reaction til I could get it together.
🤣🤣🤣 you know it would be bad if it was R. Kelly
The next film isn't as bad as most say.
Not the best either, but it's worth a watch. Indy's chick from Raiders comes back in the next one.
No more spoilers. Hope you watch the next one.
Plus they're currently making the 5th movie, so it's best to catch up when that finally releases.
What if you reacted to old episodes of Fear Factor... where they have to eat and do all kinds of gross things? I think your viewers would love it!
some goof ball moments in this movie, but it's still a classic : ). One of my favorite Connery roles.
Your cute dogs are true professionals, gotta put on a show when the cameras rolling.🐶💗
If anybody got the green light from Harrison Ford to take over the Indy role after Ford was done, I believe River Phoenix would have been it.
I pictured Ryan Reynolds
"I bet that b1tch got a yeast infection now" 🤣🤣🤣 man you crack me up
Awesome!
You have to watch indy 4. Fuck the haters..
I don't know. I kind of liked the Kingdom of the Skull too. Go ahead. Start the hating. i don't care.
the tone and theme are completely off, which dooms it even with great actors, the goat director, and a score by the goat composer.
There's a great continuation goof in this, indy is bleeding from one side of his mouth gets hit by a wave then the bloods on the other side lol
I laughed so hard at this reaction! Had to pause it several times. When you found out that dad smashed her too.... priceless. Thanks man
Glad you enjoyed it and much, much appreciated.
You had me pissing myself laughing
Man, you kill me every single time. I sincerely hope you react to Highlander (1986). If you like Connery, you’ll love that one.
It’s on the list and I’m glad you been enjoying
I've seen this movie a half dozen times and probably twice as many reactions and this was the first time I noticed how jarring it is that they go from the desert to lush greenery with evergreen trees in a matter of minutes on horseback and train
We had the 3 movies VHS collection....so we watched it probably over 20x....this was the first damn time I noticed when they're down in the tomb and she asks "What is this?"
"Ark of the Covenant"
"Are you sure?"
"...pretty sure"
🤦🏼♂️🤣
I liked Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, it isn't a great movie but I think it's good, plus it brings Karen Allen from Raiders of the Lost Ark back. I think people don't like it because it's more sci-fi, & not as much action but you got to realize Indiana is getting to be an old man now.
And yet can survive the G-force of an atomic explosion.
@@platinumspider7859 And he survived jumping out of an airplane in a rubber raft in TOD, shut the fuck up. KOTCS is just fine. Not nearly as good as IJ I and III but still a decent movie
The reaction to the rats was hilarious 😂😂😂
Indeed. But, in truth, many kids have rats as pets. They're smart, and easy to take of. Due to risk of disease that's inherent in rats, the production couldn’t just use any rats on set. As a work around, they had to have two thousand rats specifically bred to film that scene for the movie. Another useless fact: Before Alison Doody was cast in the role of Elsa, it was offered to Amanda Redman. However, Redman turned it down due to her phobia of rats. Redman is quoted as saying, “[The script] included a scene where rats would be crawling over my head. I really can’t bear rats, so that was that.”
This was the best of the franchise.
It was my favorite of the 3
The rest 4th isn't bad at all its just a little different. You should do it. And Indiana's original girl is in it. So definitely do it. It's just got a different story.
Nope, Raiders of the Lost Ark is still the best.
@@kurtrivero368 Nobody beats Bond. Lol.
@@TheCashcrue Do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it

We're just stoked to see people enjoy. And the amount in the time we've done it is honestly mind blowing in all the best ways.
I can't speak for other reactors, but I can say J is as real as it gets. And he's the same off camera. I'm just happy people see it.

The 4th isn’t bad but finish it while you’re at it
J, I think you were a little hostile towards Elsa. She is beautiful. If it were me, I would have said; "Baby, I know you are a Nazi, And I'm Jewish, but relationships take work and I believe we can make it, girl. We can argue which way to raise the kids later."
And as always, Much love to you and the babies.
Lol she was bad though.
@@J_EOMReacts There isn't a man alive that doesn't love a bad women.😜
Raiders of the Lost Ark is adventure film.
Temple of Doom is a pulpy black comedy adventure film.
The Last Crusade is a comedy adventure film.
Kingdom isn't a baaaad movie... it's just not "up to par" with the trilogy imho, but I definitely think you should see it. Great content as always my friends!
Def going to sometime soon.
Elsa died because she couldn't Let it Go...
This is my Favorite Indiana Jones movie. I won tickets off the radio to go to a early showing. I got to see this movie a couple of days before the release. Had some cool SWAG that unfortunately I no longer have. Posters and stuff for the early release.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 that’s amazing.
I bet it was awesome as hell to go see this before everybody.
Fun fact: Sean Connery was only 12 years older than Harrison Ford. Sean was born in 1930, Harrison was born in 1942.
That’s wild as hell
The 4th movie is not horrible by any means. It's ridiculous for someone to say it's so bad that it ruins the series and they want to pretend it doesn't exist.
Yeah, I didn’t think it was all that good, but it certainly didn’t ruin the series for me. Not anymore than Temple of Doom did.
I’m curious to see what happens
Absolutely agreed! I'd say let the man watch the movie and decide for himself.
I heard him say at the end of the video "No one wants to see Crystal Skull". That is false. It's just that the haters are always louder.
@@goldenageofdinosaurs7192 I would like to see him react to Crystal Skull. He may say it's his least favorite but I'm willing to bet he doesn't dislike it and he'll say it's not as bad as people make it out to be.
The first hour or so of Crystal Skull is a decently fine Indy adventure. But then the story gets over-plotted, too cartoony, several characters are just wasted and it just becomes stupid. It is very, VERY easily the worst of the series. Still, it was great to see Harrison Ford back as Indy after so many years. By far the best thing about the film, he is STILL entirely watchable and fun in the movie. Can’t wait to see Indy 5 next year. Not only is James Mangold a fantastic director but Lucas is not involved and Ford is actually in much better shape now than he was 10+ years ago for Crystal Skull. Amazing for 79 years-old.
This is gonna be so good. LoL
how does it smell under Venice?
I've been to Italy. Seen the underground catacombs (where Indy and the rats were). It smells stale, moldy, and dusty. And it's cold and dank. Cold like you need a jacket after about 20 minutes. The kinda cold that creeps into your bones. Doesnt stink. But if "ancient" had a smell, that would be it.
They mainly buried soldiers and public figures down there. When I saw the coffins, I ask the tour guide "why are there so many children?"
No, people were SMALLER back then. These are SOLDIERS and the average height seems about 4'8". People have just been getting bigger with time -- likely due to food supply, calcium, better nutrition, and the tallest men getting all the girls.
Also, probably explains how the dinosaurs got so big: gradually.
The average German soldier was 5'8 150 lb. The average American soldier was 5'9 150 lb. My dad was 6'3 150 lb. Supposably you was not supposed to be over 6 ft to be in the army. But when my dad got to where they measured the height. The guy said can you stand under that marker! He said yes, and duct his head under it. He said you're army now!
@@neoncatfish4038 what a great story! i had no idea there was a height LIMIT to the army. i woulda thought they want the biggest guys they can find.
I can see height limits for tank or fighter personnel, because they have to fit inside something.
I guess that German guy Indy fought in the Raiders under the flying wing must have had a similar experience as your dad.
@@slchance8839 I'm not for sure if that's still is the same. I think a lot of the recruiters did not stick with that rule. Because my dad said there was some 7 ft + tall guys! My dad was a truck driver in WW2! On his discharge papers said he was a sharpshooter. He did not really talk much about what happened over there. I looked up the tallest soldier during world war II and it was a German soldier that was 7'3. I don't know if the Germans had a limit or not.
Knowing when to duck is very important. I guess they figured that they at least didn’t have to train him on that.
Did my thesis on this. Hollywood AFI thesis. Amazing how much people DON'T know about this movie. What it's really about.
The Templar quest. Masonry. The third film is all about the Third Degree. The eternal quest for "illumination". As Brother Connery says it. Had class with him. Bond is all about the same thing: The eternal quest.
Indy picked "the dirtiest cup" because in the Bible, Jesus was a carpenter who renounced wealth & riches. The Holy Grail, being "the cup of Christ," would therefore be a poor man's cup, not a jewel-incrusted chalice of a king. Although the Bible describes Christ as "King of Kings," he was never a "king" in the conventional sense; that is, he didn't preside over a kingdom, nor did he sit in a castle on a throne. The "king of kings" moniker just referred to his followers' belief that he was the son of God.
It was Donovan's lack of knowledge on the subject that doomed him, as like most people, he envisioned the "cup of the King of Kings" being the most expensive, beautiful chalice ever seen.
That's the ultimate irony. The Holy Grail represents the mother of all archaeological finds; but it's ironic because the most sought-after artifact in the history of mankind turns out to be a dirty old cup.
The fireplace turning reminds me of mel brooks movie young Frankenstein (put the candle back) 😆
I know young Frankenstein is on the list
Love your cute dogs.
Thank you for showing my babies love
Now you know why Indy hates snakes after the scene on the train when he was a kid. 🤣
Another great reaction! Love the copilots. This is a great ending to an amazing trilogy. Yes. Trilogy... That young Indie is River Phoenix. Joaquin Phoenix's older brother. R.I.P River Phoenix. Gone too damn soon. Love your one-liner comments. Keep it up my man. Where can we send goodies to the copilots?
I’m getting a P O Box either tomorrow or next week.

@@J_EOMReacts thats great! Thanks JL. Your copilots will apreciate it.
12:36 metal! 🤘
If Crystal Skull came out in the 80s, it would've been received a lot better. I didn't like that it was basically all shot on green screen. I had a HUGE problem with the gunpowder being magnetic AND able to fly, that was dumb, but I never thought about how much other unrealistic stuff is in the rest of the movies (underground petroleum well was complete BS, raft as a parachute, the well of the souls, the snake pit, not to mention the literal magic in all 3 movies) so I guess if I saw it as a stupid child or ignorant boomer I'd have liked it.
Overall, besides the misuse of CGI, every theme and corrupted historical tie-in on the standard Indiana Jones checklist was ticked. I guess the only difference was the audience: in 2008 we were better-informed maybe? Everyone had the internet back then and smartphones were just starting to take hold, so it was that short time when we were all better-connected and had access to good data but before social media rotted everyone's brains to pus. Maybe it would've done better if it were released today, 14 years later.
007 Bond, James Bond.....Just sayin
That’s why Indy a bad man. James Bond his daddy
When it comes to staircases in & leading up to centuries old buildings, many of them were designed to make it difficult for intruders/invaders. One of the more mundane defenses. Pretty clever though. When something works...
she's not a good guy that is with indiana jones
Just started. Wondering if you noticed the name “River Phoenix.”
Didn’t notice the name but I knew that was him. I knew he was in this since I watched Stand By Me and somebody mentioned it to me.

No lie Muppet Babies are probably better than this other legendary stuff. Hard take.
Muppets Babies has always been amazing. Always will be.
I say watch the last one. I liked it, but then again I am an Indiana Jones movie homer so I probably would have liked it not matter what.
I’m definitely watch it bc I’m curious about it
My fav ij movie I had a collector plate but got lost in a move
Looking forward to your reaction
If you end up posting the fourth one to UA-cam, I would definitely watch it. I imagine that-like most people who see a reviiled episode of a series-you will end up not disliking it as much as the public average.
I like INDY 4. It's fun, there's commies instead of nazi's, and we get to revisit that Warehouse.
Do yourself a favor, if you have never seen the movie 1941 you should.
I am sure you will know most of the cast.
You will enjoy it.
The moment at 12:35 minutes, why does it always have to be rats?😨 Man, I'd rather walk through snakes.
Was gonna focus on Muppet Babies but I could 100% not gloss over "she's got a yeast infection" 😂
Another adventure film you might like is THE MASK OF ZORRO with Antonio Banderas.
