I appreciated the frank video you published some time ago about your time there and could relate. I am with, you all the way, about prioritizing feel-good environments and being kind to ourselves. I have a few vases that I love the shape but that sweat when holding water. Not good for wood surfaces. OMG! Thank you so much for the tip about the water in a vase...inside the vase. Love the idea of using branches instead of only flowers for vases. Flowers are definitely much more feminine than my taste and overall mood of my place. I have house plants but it's a different look all together using branches in vases. Thanks for sharing!

My mother was a long time collector of Waterford pieces and used cups, bowls, pitchers and sometimes even the vases as vases. It was so much fun to watch what she would come up with next! Because of her I now have an entire shelve of vase options in my basement.

Your home is so soothing and beautiful!! I've learned from you to cut beautiful branches from my own garden and put them around the house in beautiful vases. I have leyland cypress trees and I cut some of the branches and they just look gorgeous around my home for winter decor!!!! I love your videos always so much info! Thanks :)

Hi Valentina! I love the use of greenery in vases instead of using them for just flowers. I also love the use of material from your garden. I’ve always liked the idea of planting shrubs, that are good for cutting, on the side of the house. A good shrub for this purpose is forthysia as it can provide all year interest. Thank you for an awesome video!

Lately I’ve been seeing very similar designer ideas and suggestions of decor, to me all this looks so beautiful and perfect and thus, an extension of a busy life, to be this is part of an entire culture that make us in such a hard task of having everything perfect, all this “perfection” feeds the marketing
of trendy decor, everything seems to take so much effort and life here in the US is challenging itself. I truly identify myself with the effortless way of interior design of European, more appreciation for the antique, unique and simple things of life. I love watching Parisian vibe decor, almost like the street style of home design, they treat their house decor the way they approach beauty with such an effortless vibe. Although, I love watching this videos, they are very exquisite but totally beyond my identity, they feel imposible to me.
I have a vase at home....its a hand me down from my mom's side. Its made of glass and not the prettiest looking one but I consider it very important as its an antique piece. My mom's great grandfather bought it in 1910 when India was under British rule.
Hi Valentina! Love your content. I like it when designers place context into their design concepts. I purchased the “origami” vase from Amazon. I was a little disappointed with it’s scale. Then, I realized you were a tiny tiny woman. It’s ok, still like it and currently in the living room having a cocktail table moment.

I just bought a bud vase from Target And couldn’t figure out what to put in it. I just loved the shape so I bought it. Today I put a bunch of leftover eucalyptus stems in it and it looks great!

Love, the vases and arangements...my home is full of greens, vases, flowers... must have life around me, love the look! I have three very large beautiful baskets, hanging over my table in my dinning area,I let my roses dry, and have filled one of the baskets with them... very pretty, moves the eye up...the other baskets have greens and big moss balls,and wooden balls...love❤❤❤❤❤❤

I never thought about using clippings from a larger plant to put in other vases until I saw your holiday video. Now I can add more greenery around my house without spending a dime! I'm not ready for spring since we just had about 25 inches of snowfall this past week so I'm still decorating with pines and other holiday plants because I love cold weather.

I bought two very interesting vases from someone I follow on Instagram. They have an origami structure similar to yours, but the base is oval instead of round. Very interesting just by themselves, or with a couple of flowers in them. I loved the way she styled them on her Instagram and couldn't believe she was selling them!

A little late , but I asked my husband to cut a few branches off his oak tree~~!! Boy did he!! I put most ina large vase on the floor, and the extra branch is sitting on the kitchen table,in a green glass jar~~ says coffee on it!! Perfect!!

I always love your videos and any opportunity I can to see your beautiful decorating. In Canada in Winter we only really have evergreens so no clippings but I love the way you used your's and especially love the huge one over the fireplace! I love how you incorporate the different shapes and textures in different rooms with different clippings so it's not repetative. It adds so much character and life. Bigger is better!

I love your collection of beautiful vases! I also love this black and white Kähler vase, unfortunately I only have the mini one. I found it at a castle we visited last summer and I was sooo happy when it was on sale and I could get it for not much at all! Flower and greenary are so important mood elevator in a home, I almost always have a bouquet of flowers on my kitchen table, today I had to throw out the one I had and now it looks so empty! :(

Walmart has a great white vase they sell year round. It is tall and textured. I know you'd love it! It is very inexpensive.

I often put a big round stone in the bottom of the vase if it's not heavy enough and might fall when it has greenery or flowers in it.

I love the video but I use artificial flowers from places like Michaels and pottery barn. I have multiple seasonal colors and keep them stored in space bags to use during each season. That includes artificial fruits. I can bend and mix flowers in so many options. Some seasons I am in a more minimalist mood which is where I am now. I have an assortment of vases in neutral colors for both the floor and tables. Some of my vases are without any flowers or branches bc they’re grouped. Your point about vases being an inexpensive way to change a space is on point. EQ3 has nice vases too!
Try using a little peroxide in your water for flowers ( water and peroxide equals oxygen and flowers LOVE IT.) IF YOU WATER HOUSE PLANTS THEY WILL NOT GET THAT WHITE MINERAL BUILT UP AND YOU CAN ALMOST WATCH THEM GROW.

If you love flowers in your house all the time you could supplement your garden with a Flower CSA during the summer season and support a local flower farmer. 😁😉 We flower farmers have to put a plug in for local flowers! Down there in your climate you may even have some growers who have flowers for Valentines Day blooming in their high tunnels right now. We have some here in VA. You can find them through the ASCFG web site (Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers) 🙂🙂🙂
