Thanks for the info. Had mine for a few years and your info helped me finally fine tune the settings. For those with camera issues, I did too Riolink customer service was terrific and I had two cameras replaced.
Loving all the great information on your channel! You have taught me a lot on how to better set up my Reolink Go PT Ultra for land surveillance. Thank you!! Im using Tello for mobile network and so far its been great with my 2 cameras. Its just $6/month for 2GB of data per camera
How's she goin'? This is pretty interesting info Dave. Coming from someone who is an avid user, makes this info all that much more pertinent. Thanks for sharing these set up strategies!! Take care!!
I love these cameras. I have 4 Reolink Go PT Plus cameras on my property. I've been having some issues with trespassing despite the entire property is marked with purple paint and signs. Here in PA, the Purple Paint Law its very clear, No trespassing, except to retrieve a hunting dog.
Thanks for making this most informative video. It's a huge help to newbies like me. And thanks for answering the many questions I have sent you via email
Great information on your page. Do I have to have a Reolink subscription to view my videos or am my accessing the card on the camera via cell service to view or download a video?
Thanks for watching. You need a data plan to operate the camera. The camera will use data when you view the livestream, change settings, or playback recorded videos.
Love your video. Helped a lot. Only problem I have is that I have my audio turned on but cannot get sound on my video when playback or trying to listen.
I’m suspicious it’s a problem (or setting) on your playback device? You can pull the micro sd card and playback the videos on a computer to confirm there is audio being recorded
I would like to see a video of how to access the recorded video after I get a notification and can i change the length of the video I have the Reolink Go Ranger PT
Hi Dave, I have regular trail cams and happy with the purchase/performance after your reviews/recommendations. I use Blink outdoor cameras for home security, they are OK but the 'detection range' pretty much sucks. I want to add a Reolink Go PT Plus w/SP . Can you give me an idea of how far [feet etc.] away the camera will detect to begin recording? I do use an additional trail cam as a backup in a main area for home security because the PIR is much better than the Blink. Any suggestions/tips etc. always appreciated, spouse and I trust you and HF channel above ALL others.
I appreciate you watching. The Reolink is advertised at thirty some feet but I’ve found them to be a bit better. Probably 40-50 feet. Here is a video I did exploring the detection range ua-cam.com/video/2M509aXYGxY/v-deo.html
I have the new Reolink Go Ranger PT. There was an area on the app that allowed me to choose one or all objects. Person, vehicle, animal or other. I can’t find it now. I’ve looked and looked I would like to select or deselect my selections. Where is it?!?!?
I’m in PA and run the cameras all year long with the solar panels. In extreme cold there have been reports the batteries won’t keep a charge but I haven’t ran into that.
Hi, I just installed and setup my Reolink GO PT Plus and now have a problem. When I first did a live view, the camera showed a wide angle view. I then was using the pan/tilt gizmo to get used to how it worked and now I cannot get the wide angle view back. It seems stuck on a downward view, and the camera doesn't go up. It is mounted on a wall, with the camera down from the bracket. I have tried rebooting and restore feature, but the view did not change. Anyone have any suggestions on what I may have done and how to restore the wide angle view? Thanks in advance
My Reolink go plus keep on cutting off and won't connect. I don't know if it's the (Flexiboom sim card)? I have two of them and both stop working after 2 weeks...
If the camera did work and then stopped connecting, check the SIM card website to make sure there is still data available and that it’s listed as active
Hello, when I received my camera it only had a 28% charge. It has been very cloudy and overcast so I cannot get much charge. I want to access the setting as your video depicts but it appears the camera must be one. It is in another location from my home. So my question is: is there no way to set these settings with the camera turned off?
I bought one of the Keen Rangers to put in my driveway for security. I set it up to start, and it connected and worked fine in the house. Then I took it out a couple days later to set it up out there, and had forgotten my password, so I took it back to the house, reset the settings so I could reset the PW. That's what it said to do. I then watched your video again and reset everything. Now I don't seem to be able to connect with my phone. Any ideas what's going on? I'd really rather not have a PW. Is that possible?
The camera, when setup correctly, should not require the password each time. What data SIM card are you using? Are you sure there is still data available?
Thanks for detailed explanation but can this Reolink 4G Network work in Africa especially Nigeria. Again if one have 4 reolink Cameras in one Field or Area how can one link the Cameras to one Phone or one Sim Card.. Can one Sim work for the 4 cameras or one will buy different Sim Cards.
I have Reolink Go Pt cameras and on thing I discovered is my solar panel cables work loose and stop charging the battery. I have to find a way to keep them snug?
I don't like having infrared lights on because I am using this as a security camera. But if the lights are off will it still work in the dark or pick up motion?
My new Reolink Duo 4G is not recording videos. I get notified when the motion detector is triggered, but there is no video recording in playback. I have a 128 GB SD card in the camera that only has used 1.75 GB. What could be the problem?
I’m concerned you may be using too big of an sd card. I can’t remember off hand what the max size is but I only use 32GB cards. I know for a fact if you use too big of an sd card it can cause the problem your describing (I’ve had it happen with other cameras)
My Reolink Go PT is not picking up the vehicle when driving towards the camera, it catches the very end. Do you know what might causes this and how to fix it? Thank you
My reolink cameras connect fine with wifi but when i try to use cellular data it always has a connection failure. Are you using a wifi connection or cellular data? It was working until i updated my nvr and cameras it seems. Now it wont connect throuh cellular data. Any input would be appreciated.
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial i figured it out. It was through my cell phone. When i upgraded my nvr and cameras it changed a setting blocking access to my nvr in my nvr settings. Everything is working great now. I am able to access live feed and notification playbacks remotely from anywhere through my cell phone.
One of my 4 units stopped charging with the solar panel, tried charging it with usb connection power, battery charging indicator on app shows battery charging with blue charge signal moving from zero to fully charged but the indicator only shows 20% whether the camera is off or on
I am using this camera for a driveway alarm. Often it notifies me but the video isn't on system for a number of hours. Good signal, battery 100%. Any idea if I can correct this?
I’m not sure what’s happening?? I’ve never experienced a delay. Are you using the cloud service? The video should be available for preview nearly instantly from the SD card via the app
@@HuntingFarmerOfficial Using the sd card. Bought a new antenna and going to mount it today. Signal seems fine but going to try that rout anyway. Thanks
I notice my gt plus using data even if I am not using it or it isn't detecting motion. Is this normal? I assume is uses a small amount to keep a connection?
Thanks for watching. The camera should use little to no data unless you are viewing recorded videos, watching live view, adjusting settings, or it’s sending you a notification. I’m others words in standby the cam shouldn’t use data.
Why doesn't my camera work with cellular data? And I have to be near a Wi-Fi network for it to work. If I was away from home, I wouldn't be able to watch it at all
Thanks for the info. Had mine for a few years and your info helped me finally fine tune the settings. For those with camera issues, I did too Riolink customer service was terrific and I had two cameras replaced.
You are a wealth of knowledge when it comes to trail cams, Dave.
Thank you. I appreciate you watching 👍
Best video out there on these cameras. Learned a lot from what you discuss in this one. Appreciate you!

Good stuff. Will the camera automatically overwrite the SD card when it fills?
No that option is not available. With that said, I use a 32GB cards and get thousands of videos and have yet to fill one up 👍

Sorry I know it’s a random question but do you think solar panel helps in the winter to keep the camera charged up? I line in upstate NY

Can one Sim work for the 4 cameras or one will buy different Sim Cards.
I’m not sure if they are compatible in Africa. Reolink’s website does have a list of compatible countries
Does downloading a playback video to phone use camera data or phone data?
Watching a recorded video or watching the live feed uses data from the sim in the Reolink camera (and possibly data on your phone).
Do the keen 4G come with its own SIM card?
Thanks for watching. You must supply your own sim. I use (and suggest) Eiotclub SIM card 👍
Why when i download the video from the sd the files are in low resolution?
Thanks for watching. The sd card will have two files for each capture (one low resolution one high). You want to look for the largest file size.

@@HuntingFarmerOfficial I was thinking of clear nail polish on the end to make it more snug? Enjoy your Holidays.
I don't like having infrared lights on because I am using this as a security camera. But if the lights are off will it still work in the dark or pick up motion?
The camera will still detect motion but with no infared lights it’ll be hard to see the video (unless there are other lights around)

How to delete pictures
I’m not aware that you can delete individual pictures, you can however format the sd card and delete all the photos at once
