    The fact that we can customize an alarm is really awesome, when my Reolink Go got stolen and thrown off a cliff, I was able to change the alarm to my voice saying my phone number and for anyone that heard it to return it. I set it to sound alarm when motion is detected. And sure enough someone at the bottom walked past it, they heard my voice on the speaker and returned it to me.

      That's quite a story. I can only think that an alarm saying "Help I've fallen and can't get up" might be appropriate...followed by your phone number of course.

    I want to replace my existing doorbell with reolink. I want to setup a Samsung tablet as an intercom. Do you know if the reolink app can be setup to auto open and show live view when someone presses the doorbell?

    I have a question. In my country there is one GDPR legal requirement for cameras I'm worried about.
    The GDPR law requires "automatic log data records" to be in place to know who has accessed the footage on the camera's storage.
    Do Reolink cameras have this function?
    Or any IP/devices data log records ?

    Are you going to add an option to scroll through timeline in the app for a timelapse view like Nest and Unify? I find those apps far superior and the only thing holding me back from switching..

    Thank you for this informative video. I just received my new Reolink GO Plus LTE camera. This LTE feature is a real game changer and they upgraded the firmware and app so that when you go to view your recorded clips you now have an actual image thumbnail so that you won't waste data sifting through non-critical clips. However, I am very surprised to see that this newest of their camera line does not have the Motion Zone feature where you can draw areas that won't trigger the recording. You explained this feature nicely in your video but it appears that this feature is not available to all of their cameras (like this one) which is disappointing. Do you have any thoughts on this or know of any way to get around this?

      Thank you for your feedback. Because the GO battery camera uses the PIR to detect the motion, it detects changes in the amount of infrared radiation impinging upon it, which varies depending on the temperature and surface characteristics of the objects in front of the sensor. So it doesn't with this function. We are working on the feature to have the AI detection zone for the battery camera with person/vehicle detection. To detect the motion with PIR first and then use the algorithm to detect the person/vehicle. So it is possible to create a detection zone for this kind of camera with person/vehicle detection.

      @@ReolinkCameras Thank you. This is a good explanation and I should have realized that the PIR technology is entirely differant than "disturbing pixels" on an image to detect motion. By the way, now having actual image thumbnails to assist in identifying recorded clips is a real game changer saving data & time!

    Hi there, question, for the first 3 months of my cameras, I would receive a notification from one of the cameras and was able to click on that notification to view that action……now, suddenly it is not allowing me to do so…..when I click on the notification I just received, it goes to live mode, in lieu of the actual activity that just recorded. Can you help tell me what may have changed

    How does the reolink app gain access to my reolink hub? Does it open a port? Is the app pulling all of the visual data when the app is not in use?

    I purchased an Argus 2E to "occasionally" live stream. I also purchased the solar panel. Can I live stream with the camera attached to the solar panel. If not, how long can you live stream before camera cuts off?

      Argus 2E does not support 24-hour preview and live streaming, and it only supports live view on Reolink APP or Reolink Client.

    It is an excellent App. Very Easy to handle. I have got three Reolink Go, one Argus PT and one RLC-811A. all the different cameras work without problems together on the app. I love it.

      Yes, you can.
      1, Download our Reolink App on your phone: reolink.com/software-and-manual/.
      2, Connect the camera with Reolink App via the UID and make sure the camera is connected to the network.
      3, Live view the camera via Reolink App on your phone via cell phone data.

    When you subscribe to the cloud service… My wife and I share the same app log in to view the cameras… but only one of us are able to access the cloud service… is a second subscription needed, in order for both to see the cloud backup videos on separate devices?? Great cams btw… solar power is amazing… i have not had to charge a cam since new… about 5 hours of sun a day keeps the cam batt at 100%… pretty impressive

      Hi Geno, your wifi can try to log into the same account, which is bound with the camera. One camera can only bound with one account. But you can log in the account on different device at the same time. Thank you for your feedback. We will keep on working better.

      I’m so irritated I’ve watched so many videos trying to find out if reolink has a feature. I insured this super boring video and it still answers nothing.
      On the rink app I can see 20 videos in fast motion …. Everything is just fast but if someone approaches my car I can see that so I’ll watch the whole thing.
      I don’t know what that’s called but I don’t know if reolink does it . ?
      Will it do it if I add a card ?

    During playback, the recorded clip don't have thumbnail icons. I only get the time of recording and how many seconds the clip. That's what is suck for me all these years. How come yours have thumbnail icons on the clips?

    Hi, I brouth a Reolink 8 Channel NVR System 4K 8MP Dome PoE Security Camera Night Vision 842A got that up and going which is fantastic unit , So I go to do the Reolink App to my smart phone down load is fine setup my password all good But when I scan the code no good so I put the camera numbers in still no good I tried to put NVR code in no good again so we tried the Lan no good again so I disable my phone carrier and tried WIFI where the internet is connected to the NVR so ran out of ideas can you help me with this .

      If you want to delete the clips, you need to take out the Micro SD card to delete them on the computer.

      If your camera is not bought in the NVR kit, you can put the camera to the PoE switch which is under the same router as the NVR. Then you can add the camera to the NVR and add the camera to the APP as a standalone camera.

    How do you delete captured video? I can go to to the diffent recorderd events, but there is no option to delete. Not that I can see.

      We can not delete the recordings in the SD card from Reolink APP. You need to take out the SD card and delete the recordings on the PC or format the SD card in the APP.     is there a diode between the solar panel and the camera's battery???? and a auto shut off for the battery when fully charged?

      There is no diode between the solar panel and the battery. When the battery is fully charged, the charging integrated circuit will disconnect the load. In this situation, the solar panel will not charge the camera anymore.

    How does the time lapse function work? I'm considering installing solar panels on my very small property and I want to track the light and shadows over time. I want to take a photograph every half hour, or hour, with a date and time stamp on them. Is this possible with this camera? I would be grateful for an answer. Thanks.

    I just purchased the Argus 3 pro. Thought I had everything set up. Could view when I was sitting in the house but when I left the house to pick up food I received a notification. I click on it and it said I wasn’t connected to the Wi-Fi. How do I view when I am away from home. That’s the whole purpose of having the camera.

      @@ReolinkCameras oh I see......so the internet connection to your nvr's main purpose is so you are able to view your hard drive footage online via your mobile app.
      Cloud backup etc. Is there as a secondary measure for example if someone stole your harddrive.

      @@gavinsayer5260 Usually our HDD can't be read by the computer. If your NVR is stolen, you can contact our support team to disable the UID. Then the NVR can't be used anymore.

    I am currently running 11 8K cameras through a Reolink NVR system. I just upgraded three cameras to RLC-823A PTZ POE cameras. The PTZ works great, but since these cameras go through the NVR system I do not get options for “Talk” or setting a siren setting on either the NVR or iPad/iPhone Apps. If you run these cameras through an Reolink NVR system does this cause you to lose the ability to talk to people through your camera - even using the iPhone or iPad app? What about the siren? I know the spotlights work if the alarm is triggered on the RLC-823A cameras, but I don’t hear any siren and do not see any option to turn on or off a siren on either the NVR (television display) or iPad/iPhone app. Also, is it still possible to “Add” these cameras separately to the iPad/iPhone app even if you are using an NVR - that might solve the problem..?

      @@ReolinkCameras I got the same advice from a Reolink technician I dealt with by email. He sent me the file I needed to upgrade the software on my RLN16-410 NVR and now everything works perfectly. I have the ability to turn on/off the siren, pan/tilt/zoom the camera, and turn on the spotlight. I now also have the ability to filter the size of objects that will set off an alarm, as well as other options I never had before. I have used two other surveillance systems in the past and nothing even comes close to this Reolink system, which I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone!

    I have Installed two of the Reolink 3g/4g lte which works perfectly. the only thing that I'm unable to setup properly is the PIR Schedule even with the specific time Input or (Enable) it still recorded every movement outside that selected time. so basically its still on 24/7 which I don't need. I only need recording at night as we have people steeling building materials very late at night and the was the reason I purchased the Camera with Solar power and 3g capabilities.
    how can we troubleshoot this issue.

    How do you view playback on all cameras simultaneously? I have the newest version set up in my store and need to be able to watch when someone is moving quickly from camera view to camera view. Please help

    If I don’t have the QR code on my camera, I scratched it off because I didn’t want else to hook up to it goofy. I know so now I reset the camera and I need to reconnect me and my wife’s phone. Please help anyone. 1:04

    Hi . I have a Reolink 4k camera system and works well on my home network LAN , and the phone must be on WiFi to be able and access the life camera.
    But now have a question and can’t find anything related with my problem.
    Hope you can suggest me what to do,
    My camera on mobile phone as i mentioned earlier, works great but only from my WiFi on home network.
    If i turn off the WiFi and try use 4G , the system stop working.
    I was told Reolink is easy to setup and don’t need extra IP address or anything like that, because will pick automatically for first setup, wich yes hi did and all works fine, except about mobile connection on 4G don’t work, and don’t know what to do to make this works.

    Now if only your manual would look like the firmware and client app.
    I'd like to see the alarm zone masking be transparent so you know exactly what is behind it. If you use your browser to manage the camera, the masking is transparent but not in the desktop client app. The latter is a better approach because you can manage multiple cameras.
    Some cameras mask the alarm zone; some, like Reolink mask the no-alarm zone. I wish you were all a bit more consistent and would be more clear as to what you are masking for.

    On Chromebook (Samsung 4) running android 9. The Reolink app has a major issue, I can't see playback features. Tried adjusting screen sizes/defaults. Chromebook gets no love.

    I'm looking for a new camera system to get away from horrible Wyze Cams and get into wired NVR system. When I look at the mobile Android app the review rating is only 2.7 stars 😢 is it really that bad? Is reolink listening to their customers and making changes from the communities suggestions?

      If it is the battery camera, it doesn't support continuous stream. Because that will drain the battery. If it is other IP cameras, it can stream continuously.

    I still cannot understand how to find and choose the sections with movement through the timeline. When i navigate the timeline, the main video on top does not change to match the current position in the timeline. Also the saved video sections are always 1 hour length so in a day i would have about 24 video sections but nothing to do with movement sensing. Only way to see the movement sections is to use the Client on my Windows laptop.

      You can choose the sections with movement through the timeline.

    I just set up (3) argus 2 cameras, they all show around 1,000 kbps (clear mode) when live streaming in the app. However when I go back to the Devices page all 3 say not connected, with a grayed out still pic. Anyone have a fix?

    Please please please add the ability to “mute” a camera right from reo link Home Screen like blink does! That’s my only complaint about my new reo link NVR.

      Hi there, if your phone is IOS, now you can go to the setting of the NVR on APP, then you will see the "Channel list" setting. In the setting, you can hide the camera under the NVR by clicking the eye.
      If your phone is android, the new APP 4.29 version will come soon. Stay tuned!

      Reolink cameras and NVRs do not support deleting certain video footage stored on the Micro SD card and HDD via Reolink software. If you want to delete the clips, you need to take out the Micro SD card and HDD to delete them on the computer.     Why you dont say how to view playback/recordings? This app had a really incompetent UX designer or none at all. 2 main functions everyone expects from a security camera: access to live view and access to recordings. One of them is nearly impossible to find.

    I believe reolink have some of the best cameras out there for the price. However
    You need to add linux app. I understand viewing can be done via Web browser but this dose not offer the same level of features and functionality as the dedicated apps you have for mac, android, and Windows. Its the only thing holding me back from buying one of your systems at the moment.
    Linux is the future my friend

    Why do reolink hold people to ransom with their camera's. Onvier finds my Floureon ip cams without issue yet reolink tell me that their camera's will only work with their own app but their own app will not find any other brand of ip cam. So i have to use different apps for different camera's. How frecking stupid!!!

      Reolink APP can only support Reolink cameras, just like the other brand's app, which only supports their cameras.
      And for the Onvif, our cameras (except the battery-powered cameras) can compatible with it.

      @@dec23 If you don't put an SD card in the camera, you can't playback in the APP. You can choose to store the recording to the PC, NVR, FTP server, Cloud(if supports), or NAS.

    This should be a little more professional if this is presented by Reolink. The speaker should have a mic on his body since the audio sounds very hollow and difficult to hear, lose the music since it serves no purpose to enhance the presentation. The speak needs to have a little more enthusiasm in his presentation other wise it people don't get involved in the content. Spending almost a minute of the video on an intro isn't helpful to people that are looking for answers instead of being bored by the presenter. Just my 2 cents. By the way almost none of my questions on the Reolink app were answered by this in a way that would be useful.

    This is such a limited service. You can’t even fucking scrub the timeline.
    Nothing in this app is intuitive, it’s utterly awful.
