My only request would be to consider giving a perspective on how wonderful it would be for senior's or families who heed to do day surgeries and need a place to hang out while these medical issues are being taken care of.. there is lots of room for portable wheelchairs, overnight changes of clothing, snacks, and the 110 volt outlet coolers portable medical equipment, and if you live in the county emergency supplies without having an SUV that looks like or is jamed with stuff.. We are senior's and the Traverse meets all of our needs as seniors 💙
Best review so far! We were dead set on getting a Grand Highlander but after watching your review of the Traverse we have now decided to take a Traverse for a test drive.
Me and my husband are considering the Grand Highlander or the Traverse as my next vehicle. I think we are going with the Traverse, comparable space but has more features for the price point!
I found my new favorite with you. I appreciate how intuitive you are and you don't rush thru your dialogue. I know sometimes reviewers have a very limited time with a vehicle and they have to cram so much info in a short amount of time but too often they speak fast when they don't have to. I think you're doing a great job and I look forward to your future car reviews. I like what I'm seeing with this new video but I'm not a fan of the thick C-pillar and no available heads-up display but I'm nit-picking. You do get a lot of high-end features for your money and it looks great. I like a lot of space around me but I'm not looking for a Tahoe or Suburban sized vehicle and Telluride and Palisade look too small to me.
Thanks for watching! Yes our time is usually very limited… I enjoyed this one because it was “mine” for two full days so I really got to experience it as an owner.
Not usually a Chevy fan but they are doing pretty good lately. Also you are doing a great job! Getting better and better with every review! Keep it up!
Wow this appear to have more room than my 19 Palisade when third row seat is up. I can barely squueze in a large size stroller in the palisade. The traverse appears to have a bit more room. Or at least it appears as so
I can’t for the life of me figure out why Chevy didn’t see fit to put ventilated seats in the Z71 trim. I’m currently driving a Telluride SX X-Pro, which is similar trim level to Z71 Traverse but I have heated/ventilated front seats, and a power passenger front seat as well. Seems like a huge miss on that aspect. It’s a great looking SUV though!
Nice job R.M. and I like the female perspective as most reviewers are guys. I especially like the SuperCruise feature General Motors is putting in many of their vehicles. Maybe review the GMC Acadia in the future. It’s very very similar but slightly more upscale.
Only dark interior. You have to go to Acadia or Buick to get a light interior for dealing with the hot months of summer. No rear window shades or ventilated rear seats. GM glosses over the unproven turbo 4 cylinder to get you to take the risk. Prices are higher for less vehicle. Which 4 cylinder has the best history of reliability, GM, Ford, or Toyota? Don’t be manipulated, think about it or negotiate a longer drivetrain warranty !
I'm interested in this vehicle but will wait a year or two and see how the 2.5 liter 4 cylinder turbo holds out. It all looks good until it ends up in the shop for warranty issues. All that technology could spell a heap of troubleshooting for a dealership and the car owner who goes without a vehicle if something goes wrong. Even though I've owned several GM's they're not known for keeping their customers happy.
Tough question. If I wanted a hybrid, I would get the GH. I think the pilot is amazing and if you wanted an optional bench that would turn into Captains chairs then I would go with the pilot. But if you love to buy American made, and you want good value for nice features, I say traverse all the way. 🙃
I don’t love the Honda tech, but for some people it’s all about the engine and that one is incredible as you already know. I have had two Toyota Highlanders back to back so I am a fan of that brand. But I was sincerely impressed with traverse and I would absolutely enjoy as my daily driver ! I wish it had massaging seats and a HUD
All the hype over the new Traverse gadgets to cover up the small 4 cylinder turbo engine. Turbo says the engine is too small, they are pressurizing the small engine to make it produce more power giving false impression you have power. We were interested in a new Traverse but never with a 4 cylinder. We have a 2017 GMC Acadia with a V-6 and have gotten 34 MPG on the highway. No way will the 4-cylinder be able to maintain its power over the life of the vehicle, as the engine wears it will be much less than a V-6 as it wears.
Tell me what no reviews tell me so far....how is the lower tilt range of the drivers seat? I drive Palisade and Grand Highlander yesterday and neither one has enough tilt upward that my legs felt rested and supported while driving.
Thank you. Actually the leg extender on the Palisade just pushed into my calves. I don't need extension, but I need to lift the end of the seat upwards enough. @@realmomcartours
these 360 view is great but you have go into the menu.. Who's going to do that? WE need a button on a steering wheel to get a direct access, just push to get the view instead of select the desired view. example: Push three times to get side view,,, two times to get front,,, such that
I have give you a thumbs up because you delivered the information that’s important. I usually watch the men and they are busy talking about things that only motorheads are interested. I care about the engine and torque but I don’t need 10 minutes spent on tires and rims. You covered the reasons to buy.
Thank you for your honest review! I put down a deposit for a Z71, but recently I heard that the third row seat won't fold down if the 2nd row seat is all the way pushed back due to the poor design of the headrest of the 3rd row seat. I wonder if you experience the same thing? Thanks!
I think I understand what you are asking and this is very common and basically every third row vehicle. If the second row is on rails and it’s pushed all the way back it will not give enough clearance for the third row to fold. This should not be a dealbreaker for you in my opinion!
I just test drove one and the third seat headrest would not fold down at all (broken). I’ve heard this has been an issue. Do you have your traverse yet? I’m looking at the Z71.
Best review I have watched so far! 👏And I watched a lot lol. I got one today and agree with it all. I absolutely love it and was so pleasantly surprised with all they did to it. ❤ it’s like a mini Tahoe for sure. I actually found the seat more comfortable than the Tahoe!
@@realmomcartours thanks! I got the RS. I’m almost six feet tall and grateful to find it for my neck and back and it’s more manageable for me. Love your channel!
Yes, but when you pay more you should get more power. From the lower line we have a 2.5L with Turbo Charger and for that reason it sucks. Transmission problems with these. Tow 5000 pounds. What? Everyone in there and then a trailer and a Tractor Lawn Mower? Not much to go on. But what blows me is this engine. Sure it has 328 HP but as I said when you pay for the top of the line you should get a V6 Twin Turbo or something and no this is nowhere near a Palisade or Telluride. RS should have more than what you get. A console that should have a button for every thing the touch screen has because you don't want to take this on a vacation and that goes out. So now after last year this isn't any better. It just looks good. Thats all.
What i love about my encore is the lower dash you see so much road vs dash in your face. It has been a point for me to find integrated screen not one popped up. Im excited to test drive one of these. I do hope its not too much hood, i dislike that about my husband's ram.
Other features I appreciate is the rear view camera. Climate pulled out. The headrest in the center 3rd row. I like all rear seats having tethers, latch would be nice but tether is the deal breaker. I'd like to see a 40/20/40 bench. And built in shades.
I found it pretty comfortable. Good bolstering, etc. Getting in a new car always takes some getting used to and I fiddle with the steering wheel and adjust the seat 20x to get it "just right" haha
Tough call!! I like the Chevy tech better. The screen …. It’s better. IMO Spacing wise they are very similar. But traverse is going to have more storage behind the third row and it’s going to generate more horsepower. But where I come from people are absolutely in one camp or the other. They’re either all in on Ford or Chevy. Lol so that may make her break your decision.

Excellent video and the review is spot on, keep it up...This is a great looking vehicle and I love the size, just perfect for me.
Thanks for watching. It IS a great size. :)
Great review. I would love to see your LT review. That’s what most people want to get I think. Keep up the great work. Love your channel. 🥂
Very detailed and well-explained. Keep up the good work.
Wow this appear to have more room than my 19 Palisade when third row seat is up. I can barely squueze in a large size stroller in the palisade. The traverse appears to have a bit more room. Or at least it appears as so
What a great review showing real case scenarios and not only specs and gimmick information.
Thanks!

Whaoo. The truck looks great too.😉

Chevy Traverse fantástico 👍👍
Does it have a spare tire? Full size or donut size? What is the length of the cargo floor with both rows of seats folded down?
18” spare tire and 97 cubic feet with 2nd & 3rd rows down
It’s interesting that none of the reviewers mention that super cruise is a subscription service.
True. You get a free trial period I don’t recalll how long it lasts
And super cruise can be purchased in the months you need and want it. No contracts or annual plan unless you want an annual.
When you changed the colors I couldn't notice where the changes were reflected.

Can you also do LT model also. Thanks
I have done Z71. I will see if I can get my hands on the LT.
I will post the Z71 tomorrow. it's a good one.
Loving mine.
Oh that’s good to hear!
When she said "Boy Mom"...i was like a what now ?
A mom to two boys. 😄😃
Nice video, but you didn’t put up the MPG??
Estimated 17 city / 25 highway according to release info. I did mostly highway driving and averaged 22 on my short 2 day test between two trim levels.
Does the auto start/stop stay off once pressed or do you have to turn if off evrerytime you start the vehicle?
A homerun from Chevy.
Agreed.

Are the front seat more comfortable than the Tahoe. The Tahoe has very little cushion. Ty
Not sitting in them back to back, it’s hard to tell. I found this seat to be okay …. Not the lap of luxury but not uncomfortable either.
As soon as you mentioned your sign I was out

Which Trims offer Bench Seating? Does RS offer Bench Seats as an option?
I don’t think so. I believe it’s LT
