- In 1963, a new car insurance company would pop up in the United Kingdom called Fire, Auto, and Marine. They advertised astonishingly low rates and people flocked to be covered by them. However, within a few years, the company went bust and it was found out that a man named Emil Savundra had simply taken the money and ran off. It was not the first time he had done something like that.

Ceylon is pronounced "seLON". Berkshire in the UK is pronounced "Barkshur". You cannot apply US pronunciation rules to these names - they've been around for rather longer than the USA and they've passed through The Great Vowel Shift that affected English in the middle ages.
