"If you want to know my credentials to speak about this...I'm Canadian." 🤣 As someone who lives in Southern California but loves to dress in layers, I loved this video. Beautiful outfits; great style! 💖🏝
Great video as always! So happy to see you featured Ukrainian brand “Bazhane” which means “desired” in our language. And that coat looks so chic on you 😍
"And this is me being adventurous..." TOTALLY relate! Recently purchased a blue spruce/pine green top. My adult son exclaimed, 'WHAT!?! No NAVY?!? Who are you and what have you done to my mother!' Thanks for another fun and informative video!
Your hair looks amazing in this video, Christina! I’d love to know how you styled it (curling iron, flat iron, products, etc)? Love the casual soft waves.
"and this is me being adventurous" LOL for real, i wear a lot of simple black and bluejeans color clothing but i got a bright hot orange beanie for work, and my coworkers love it, they r very proud of me 😂
Great video. I have just upgraded my thermal base layers to merino, and it's been a game changer! A woolen headband is a staple for me, as it keeps my head warm, but vents, so not too hot. I love merino socks too. That red jumper is perfect on you - a better shade than the red cardigan you have been undecided about. Thanks Christina. In Cornwall UK a winter staple is also a warm and WATERPROOF coat -it's really wet here! Merry Christmas.
I found a khaki blazer like yours at a thrift store, I was so thankful I had seen how nice yours looks! It’s so nice to have a piece that is comfy and chic and also practically able to throw on over any outfit! Always love your videos while I meal prep after church! ⛪️ thanks!
Also your videos have totally changed the way I shop (majority thrift). Now I’m looking intentionally for timeless, well made pieces that can be worn with all of my pieces and not “create a problem” that I have to fix by buying even more things. Thank you!
I bought the UniQlo HeatTech shirts with the 9% cashmere and oh my lanta do they keep me warm! I hate wearing coats during the winter unless absolutely needed, so their shirts are amazing and a steal for the price too! I'm counting down the days until they come out with a legging version, but who knows if that'll happen.
this is where Sweater Weather coziness gets real. i dont mind a bit of chilly weather and love love love winter fashion, but winter gets too real in Jan and Feb and wool is sacred. got me a Duckworth wool-lined hooded jacket a couple years ago and its been all i need thru the winter, its amazing. and i got me a tripple-boiled wool work jacket which is very thick and warm just in case.
Here in Scottsdale, Arizona we don't have extreme winter weather. In fact, the last few days high temperatures were 80 degrees. It's so hard, because I love winter clothes over summer clothes. It does get cold in the early mornings and evenings averaging 45 degrees. So, your ideas about layering come in handy for me here. Thanks for the video.
Wool socks (sometimes I double layer them), wool beanies, silk or wool blend scarves, leather and wool lined gloves, shearling earmuffs, merino wool blend cami and capri as under garments. These are my go-to for sub zero weather. A wool cashmere blend oversized long coat is truly a hero piece. It has to be light in weight otherwise I wouldn’t use it. I prefer it than a long puffer. I wear puffer sweater like Patagonia or TNF under the long coat, too.
Another great video! I live in Alberta, Canada so yes a video on ultra warm pieces and how to style them would be great. I love Uniqlo for its timeless simplistic styles, the quality of their garments, and the extensive offering of natural fibres/blends. Their Heat Tech pieces are wonderful, my husband has also discovered how great they are!
Your hair looks HEALTHY! I luv that you're not overly gurlie but you still take care to project femininity. That's the balance I need to fine. I think I project too much masculinity and thst not my intention.
Thank you for your video! I am highly allergic to wool and alpaca fabric. I can’t not even wear merino wool without breaking into hives. Luckily I live in Los Angeles where I don’t really need these type of fabric. I guess I will need those special items from places like Uniqlo and/or Columbia for under my clothing so I don’t freeze when traveling to cold weather countries. Thank you again for your video
Hi Christina! For a future video idea, how about offering your ideas on alternatives to boots for cold weather outfits. I'm in the US midsouth and it never gets too cold here. Thanks❤
I am packing for Christmas in Pennsylvania. As you were speaking about polyester, I went and pulled one of the pair of pants I was going to take and swapped in another pair of dark wash jeans! 😁
In fact all this is still for the fall/spring in my region. By the way, it's not so cold here yet, there are places in my country where it's much colder. Unfortunately, no one has yet suggested really warm clothes with down jackets that we have to wear. Anyway your outfits look amazing.
Living in a warm climate, winter is really only season I feel I get to look stylish. Sadly, I’ll never need gloves. 😥 Another fab video! ❤️ Love the Ukraine coat!
I feel this, even though weather is pretty moderate where I live, winter is the only time I feel like I can follow along participating in all the cute layering looks and lots more accessories. It is warm a lot where I am and some fabrics and items only make sense when it is colder.
@@seltzermint5I’d wear a blazer every day if I lived in a cooler climate. Sadly, it’s only maybe 30 days a year. Hard to feel stylish in a pair of shorts and tee.
@@marieoliphant8305 I have so many big chunky sweaters that are like an entire outfit all by themselves, but the past couple years I feel like I only get to wear each of them 1-2 times and then it's spring weather!
Christina I really really obsessed with your Lifestyle so so so much♥️♥️♥️ and thank you for always being such a sweetest youtuber ever in the world God Bless You Always Always sending you lots of love to you
I live in South Florida so don’t need too many cool weather pieces, but I have 4 pairs of tall boots and 6 pairs of booties 😆. I think I’m living in the wrong climate!
Love your style and the fact that you are Canadian (love my American friends, but unless they live in Alaska they haven’t experienced the winters we have!)
It's not just AK, it's also MN, WI, ND, SD, MI - we get some brutal winters too -20 and windchill, etc. Last winter was a complete anomaly (warmer, no snow), we'll see what happens this year.
@@juliehanson1175Yep, these states and also NY, VT, NH, and ME share the same climate as the lower parts of Canada where most people live. We can all be cold buddies. 🥶
I've recently gained weight that I really want to shift (and that's harder to do as you age, so great.). I have some lovely winter clothes... for my smaller self. So annoying. Still haven't found the perfect coat, although I have found a really lovely vintage brown leather bomber jacket that is super warm and that will go over practically anything I want to wear under it. Great for my more casual style, not so great when I want to dress up and need a more dressy coat. But. I'm trying to remember that I don't need to buy All The Things all at once. You're such an inspiration for how changing habits can really help change a lifestyle for the better. Now... if all the lovely colours that are in will still be in when I'm back down to my ideal weight, that'll be perfect...
This is my first winter with wide legged pants (you may say I’m a little bit late to the fashion party). I used to wear straight legs only. How are we supposed to deal with pants bottom full of snow turning wet in the office ? 😂 I have chelsea boots that I love and don’t plan on buying others, but I just don’t see any tricks on how to avoid this situation.
Thanks for the vid. I was wondering if you found that the heattech pills pretty quickly. One person had said that the heaviest weight did but she just used a shaver to clean it up. I have the cashmere blend turtleneck (very soft, very warm, easy care) but was thinking about the ultra warm turtleneck and leggings. It’s cold out here in Edmonton! Any advice most appreciated ❤
Leggings/tights with knee high boots and a skirt that goes at least to your knees or lower. That way your legs have at least 2 layers on from top to bottom but no one ever sees the leggings. Also wearing more than one skirt (aka petticoats/slips/underskirts etc.) is a secret lost to time for real, so few people ever bring this up.
I’m always very confused by base layers. I also do not like to buy anything that is more than 30% non natural fibers. Uniqlo heat tech is 57% Acrylic, 28% Rayon, 9% Cashmere, 6% Spandex. That blend to me says non breathable- will sweat and then get cold. You said yours is 5 years old… maybe they have changed the blend since you had yours. Can you please look?
No to a wool coat --- you have to waterproof it -- and it's not warm at -10° cdn. 🙀You forgot the waterproof puffer 😂. With a hood. Not black or get a few little bike lights to put on your bag at night. And big waterproof boots. Waterproof mitts. Flannel lined jeans. (Wear leggings and socks under long skirts.) Use Waterproof Spray on bags. Now you are Canadian ready to walk home cuz the bus is stuck somewhere... far away. 🎉

Things I always turn to Canadians for advice with:
Winter wardrobe
Lip balm 😂
What is the material of the Uniqlo heat tech?
How do you get your Quince pieces, Christina, if they don’t ship to Canada?
Does anyone here have suggestions for a brand to buy tailored trousers from for a short girl like me? 🥹 Like 4'11 and 3/4 short 🥲

It’s quite IMPOSSIBLE to find a true WHITE, long, 100% wool coat. They are all off white, ivory, and a polyester’s blend.
I feel tights are essential if you want to wear dresses or skirts in the winter, and I just think solid black tights are too jarring

It's too bad that Roots or an etsy seller, Salato designs, can't sponsor you. They have the best long lasting purses/bags in my opinion

I have all types of Heat Tech layers and you do not sweat, you just stay warm.
I use dilling for merino wool base layers. I see lots of ‘influencers’ pushing Uniqlo heat tech but I’m sure it’s because they get them for free.
