I stopped caring about what was in or out.. kept all my classic neutral things and I always look put together.. no more buying things every season.. I’m wearing clothes from 20 years ago and nobody would ever guess
So agree, buy from somewhere like Margaret Howell and you can wear the clothes for ever. Yes I clicked on the video, just curious, but there's not much to it.
And those boots are horrid. Square toe went out yrs ago and extremely pointy shoes look ridiculous. Stop getting hung up on someone else’s trends- especially when you can’t pull it off. Do your own thing.
Why don't you incorporate old things with new. There is very upsetting that every single season all is old. Eventhoug I can afford to buy new clothes I love and I like how I look with my old clothes. Pardon my English
You should wear what you like and what feels good to you. Some people like buying tends. I’m with you. I don’t want to spend money on tends. I like more timeless things.
But she does say that fashion is cyclical and things come and go. I personally wear what I like, not what is fashionable. I have pieces that are 15 years old or more and I still wear them.I like "dated" things and if I could afford it, I'd wear 1940's and 50's style clothing. I'm quite good at combining colours and I usually use those to make my outfits, well, mine. I don't like the type of jewellery she recommends here and I won't wear it just because it's fashionable at the moment. And I wouldn't be seen dead in an animal print.
Solid advise and chic fashion. One note: I can appreciate that block heels can make the shoe look heavy, but i just do not find the kitten heels very comfortable or sturdy. I don’t love the kitten heels on their own, but i can see how they are beneficial to the overall look of an outfit. I will keep trying them on in the stores, trying to find a pair that works for me. I find slingbacks to be a similar problem... my heels slide around. I just want shoes with style and comfort. If I can not walk in a moderately brisk manner in footwear, it doesn't pass my practicality test.
Be very careful with kitten heels! They can’t go out of style fast enough for me. I used to sell shoes at Nordstrom’s. When the heel of a shoe cuts away from under the heel, or slants towards the front of the shoe…your heel strike will be very different than what your brain has learned over years of walking on shoes with heels that go mostly straight down. Your brain remembers how you usually walk in a heel, so when you stretch out your leg to walk, your brain “expects” your heel to strike at “A” point, but a kitten heel will strike at “B” point, about 1/2 inch further into your stride…and you can miss that step and fall and break your leg, back or hip. I saw that happen while I was working…the ladies missed the heel strike and fell on hard marble floors. The heel strike caused a longer, unexpected step, the leg stretched out into a very painful SPLIT while going down.. It was awful to see. I did the same thing, and since I was at work in shoes, I immediately bought a newer safer pair of shoes and threw the kitten heel away. Never buy those ❤.
Those screw on style of clip-on earrings used to be very popular in my mom’s day. At that time it wasn’t that common for women to have pierced ears and the screw on style allowed women without pierced ears to wear more delicate looking dangling earrings. I still have quite a few of these earrings that belonged to my mother.
Screw earrings were usually higher end costume and 10 to 14k gold. Cheaper costume pieces has the clips. It wasn't uncommon for a woman to have at least one pair of earrings with tiny precious stones. Screw backs were a bit harder to lose. Bummed to hear skinny jeans are making a return. Ugh!
I have not changed my wardrobe since 2019, and since I work from home, I don't see the point about caring if my style is up to date. I have tons of hand-me-downs from my aunt who already passed away, so I'm keeping them to remember her.
Of course it's a classic and as a (light) warm toned woman, I prefer to wear warm toned clothes and shoes. Especially warm light brown shoes are very harmonious to my hair colour. So it's a match between up and down.😊
Please say that barrel jeans are over as no one looks good in them (reminds me of Yosemite Sam cartoons). Straight dark wash jeans are always fashionable.
Black jeans fade into ugly tones of patched fearless grey if mostly cotton. I like cotton jeans- so I go for darker blue that will fade beautifully. I love jeans. It’s all about accessories.
I'm wearing anime t-shirts from when I was 19, stretch fit skinny jeans in black from when topshop still had stores, bootleg DM's, and a non-label bomber jacket most days. Most of what I still get compliments on are heritage pieces: A fleece lined bomber jacket, old t-shirts that were well cared for, and I do think part of that's just the fact that clothes are poorly made now across the board. Find things that are well made, that'll last (either through vintage, or small business that still care), that suit you.
Donating all my 28" and shorter inseam trousers. Tapered legs are on probation to see which ones I wear with boots this winter. Donating all my 1980s and 1990s vintage (except silk) due to non-stretch discomfort. Only keeping crops that are wide leg and current. Donating selected tired prints.
they'll come back round, and can promise you'll regret it. I bought a Carhartt blanket lined jacket when I was 23 because it was the best I could afford to stay warm, didn't sell it on eBay when everyone was digging for one and I really don't regret it
Acid wash jeans are set to ba a major trend in 2024/2025 Louis Vuitton confirmed. I own a pair and love it. I wear it with a chunky black sweater and black boots.
Actually acid wash jeans just recently came back in style from the 80’s and the ripped jeans were just back on the run ways for 2025 and so many styling videos out are putting out cute ways to still wear skinny jeans with the preppy look being hot again with Ralph Loren etc. I watch influencers videos to get some cool styling ideas here and there but never ever am I influenced with trends it’s all too hypocritical and deceptive in so many ways… I think you are an amazing stylist and that’s all I’m here for I could care less what’s not tending for that week or what in your opinion and other like minded as you feel about certain fashion items I stopped following many influencers because of all that seriously some of us are just here to get styling ideas😘
I love the fitted look of blazers and jackets in general. I am petite, 5’1” and 34D, so I’d rather wear something that makes me look slimmer and taller…boxy blazers are not an option for me plus they are only trendy not classic. 😅
oh my gosh, screw on earings from the 1950s. i'm 79-1/2 my mother wore those. lovely, thank you for your video subscribed, happy new year be safe be well.

They are easy on and off. They protect my legs from summer mosquitos without trapping heat. I can layer with long John’s in really cold days.

I've even taken an art metal jewelry class at the college level several times so that I can have jewelry that's in balance to my frame. (That, and I have direct ancestors who were silversmiths and coppersmiths in Bavaria. I think it's in my genetic structure.)

As I aged, simple or no prints became my favorite.😅 but I am trying to combine colors as long as I follow the 3 color rule. That is why Uniqlo brand is my favorite 😊

I like your classic hair style, mine is the same style. Never goes out of style.
My issue with shoes are the comfort element. My feet no longer can survive in anything that is pointed. At 71 years old my days of wearing pointed shoes are just over and nowhere can I find a fashion influencer who can feature a barefoot style shoe which can look elegant. Even trainers are pointed and for someone who is trying to fix my feet into a natural position with wide toes. I would value a video which would combine barefoot styles.
Just yesterday I bought a pair of expensive jeans from Diesel which are faded and a beautiful grey colour. Fyi faded jeans are very much in trend as most famous brands have them in their latest stock😂
I agree. Being a very petite women, those blazers and sweaters 3× too big on me, make me look even smaller. I have honestly a problem with stylists saying 'clothes have to fit your body style' and then go ahead and advise to wear clothing that just is undermining that concept. And in general can we finally stop having to run along with whatever certain way too overpaid designers in Paris and Co. decide we need to wear for the next several month!!
I have a set of brown pearls and black pearls that I never wear. I think I’ll take them to the jeweler and have them restrung and add the donut piece in the middle.
Excellent video and very well timed subject! Thank you! One question: I noticed that "to keep" jeans in your video were straight leg mostly. Are wide-leg jeans out in 2025? Or do we keep them?
Jeans never out of style depend of how you wear it, as long as you are comfortable. I think better to offer how to enhance outdated to be in to the current style.
I will wear whatever i want to as long as it looks good on me and so comfortable with it. I don’t mind other people’s nonsense opinion. It’s my body, it’s my choice.
Love you looks ! I didn’t see the indigo or the light black jeans linked , or anything else doe that matter except the jewelry . Do you not link your styles ?
What’s out of style? What the influencers and retailers say is out of style! Ignore them. Wear what you love, and maybe add in a few classic styles to update your look. If you chase the “ trends” you’ll be constantly buying new things. And UA-cam is a great resource. Love you skinnies, but have been told they are “out?” Find a video that tells you how to update them by wearing with different silhouettes.
I have to disagree with your views towards subtle fading in jeans. They add interest to an outfit and never look dated. Plain jeans can look boring and a bit frumpy if not styled with a bit of pizzazz!
Unless you really stay still, wearing multiple thin chains/ necklaces will inevitably twist into each other. In the Caribbean, Ohio or Texas USA they twist and look messy. And nobody says long Channel-like clunky pearl strings look cheap. They are totally fun and elegant, and would look great with every one of your looks.
Love your videos..but with being over 70 I would like more mature advice. On updating our wardrobes.. can you do another video for us aging ladies who love fashion ….
Fashion should personal and individual. Everyone should feel free to curate their own style. This is her conservative style. It does not have to be yours!!!
I agree with all the outdated jeans. I have never liked buying them ripped, bleached or dirty washed, it is a bit absurd. I would add paperbag waist jeans to your list. They were really trendy just a few years ago, but now they look really dated
First of all congratulations for your succès with your Channel. Not supprised as the continent is very helpfull. I intend to remove old my old jeans for New ones. Body shape H, with the age (60 year old) I gain wait around the waist. Do you have a link, or a brand, or a model to suggest ? It will be very helpfull. Best regards Stella from Switzerland
The best jeans for mature women are designed and sold by a mature woman…Diane Gilman on HSN. Her DG2 line is fabulous and has a lot of give! They fly out the door when she makes a presentation. Diane is THE person who styled most of the rock bands outfits back in the 60s-70s. She’s an amazing person. I love how her jeans fit, and they are comfy!
THANK YOU for saying that skinnies are going to come back, it's my most flattering fit for cooler weather, when I need layering! But I disagree with chunky heels. What if you aim for this kind of look?
I don't particularly aim for that look, but chunky heels are the only ones that I can tolerate, so I'm keeping them too! 😂 Skinnies and knee-lenght boots are a match made in Heaven
I am 5 ft 5in 149 pounds. Although I am not thin, I don't look like I weigh that much because I am very muscular. I hate skinny jeans because they are seriously tight on my legs. I don't care if skinny jeans come back, but I will never wear them again. I had a few pair, but they were so uncomfortable when sitting because they felt like my legs were wrapped in ace bandages! I personally feel that as far as jean styles go, everyone should wear the style that looks best and is the most comfortable for them!! I have seen women who look WONDERFUL in skinny jeans, but I am not one of them because my legs look like the legs of a mummy in skinny jeans!!!!😂
@@profosborne4501 I'm 5 ft 95 pounds, and although I'm skinny, I have a pear shape. So when both top and bottom is loose, I feel like drowning and I look much heavier and even shorter than I actually am. We don't have cold winters, but I still want chunky sweaters and cardigans to keep me warm. I don't think I look my best in skinnies, but in some cases I look better than in any other fits. But of course it's personal, you can't look good in anything if you feel uncomfortable!
@JillianSiobhanMal I get that they are good for tucking into boots. I have a couple of pair of very slim legged jeans (slim o. my legs at least) that I have kept for that purpose. But the very tight skinny jeans just don't work on my very muscular legs.. lol! I support them for that purpose on those that can wear them and they look great!
Ba tually this is bsed on your complexion and body shape. I think it all depends on different shapes style even the color that this video is talking about.
So much good practical and classic advice but those elongated square toe boots are hideous. Goes to show style and fashiin are so personal. I believe you should wear what makes you feel good and confident for the occasion.

Maybe a very expensive pressed pair of grey jeans would work, but I think black jeans look awful once they start to fade.
Ouch! Those boots at 17.23 have no depth in the toe box. Reminds me of Gru in the minions movies.
Oversized blazers and blouses, sweaters are not for all women.
But they are for many other women. So?
I have a set of brown pearls and black pearls that I never wear. I think I’ll take them to the jeweler and have them restrung and add the donut piece in the middle.
Excellent video and very well timed subject! Thank you! One question: I noticed that "to keep" jeans in your video were straight leg mostly. Are wide-leg jeans out in 2025? Or do we keep them?
Straight legs are timeless,
Wide-legs are on trend
Acid wash jeans can look cheek when you add a luxurious texture top, like, e.g., silk, velvet, linen, 😊🎉❤you get the picture.
@@afisanaa😅
They always look cheap- sorry cheep
What to leave 2024? This over and over and over seen on YT Celine belt! Exactly the same than the GG belt a few years ago. 🙄🫣
I hate elongated toe shoes. Why would I want my feet to look longer and bigger than they are?
Very helpful! Thank You!
Excellent video! Love your white shearling jacket. Could you share where it is from? and how is the sizing?
Looks like Toteme
It’s the reversible one from Petite Studio. She presented it in a previous video. 😀
Please share your diet and fitness regime
Your mocha color Samba is so chic looking❤️
Jeans never out of style depend of how you wear it, as long as you are comfortable. I think better to offer how to enhance outdated to be in to the current style.
Love your style! Can you share the maker of your belt? Thanks
I will wear whatever i want to as long as it looks good on me and so comfortable with it. I don’t mind other people’s nonsense opinion. It’s my body, it’s my choice.
I am new here, and I love the clothes. Where are they linked?
Love your style .🇨🇮🥰
Please let us know when you brought your cardigans, they are absolutely beautiful.
It’s Lily Silk
A leather moto will never go out of style ❤❤
Love you looks ! I didn’t see the indigo or the light black jeans linked , or anything else doe that matter except the jewelry . Do you not link your styles ?
What’s out of style? What the influencers and retailers say is out of style! Ignore them. Wear what you love, and maybe add in a few classic styles to update your look. If you chase the “ trends” you’ll be constantly buying new things. And UA-cam is a great resource. Love you skinnies, but have been told they are “out?” Find a video that tells you how to update them by wearing with different silhouettes.
Absolutely agree!!!
Love everything you suggested
Basically go back to the 80s denims style, regular fitted!
I have a thing about black and grey jeans. They always look so 80’s and masculine. I wish you’d do more feminine ideas. Love your videos
Wear them with a lacy top and some jewelry.
I hate how they fade so quickly.
Thank you so much 👍
I have to disagree with your views towards subtle fading in jeans. They add interest to an outfit and never look dated. Plain jeans can look boring and a bit frumpy if not styled with a bit of pizzazz!
Yes, I agree with you. There's absolutely nothing wrong with light wash jeans.
Great video! Is that brown Row Park tote the medium or the large?
Where is the Light Gray sweater and white jeans from? And what size are you wearing?? 💛
Please tell me what lipstick you are wearing- so pretty!
love your sweater would love a link. Thank you.
Where you get ankle boots 👢 in today show?
Unless you really stay still, wearing multiple thin chains/ necklaces will inevitably twist into each other. In the Caribbean, Ohio or Texas USA they twist and look messy. And nobody says long Channel-like clunky pearl strings look cheap. They are totally fun and elegant, and would look great with every one of your looks.
Living in Europe, Paris / France and Milan / Italy, I absolutely confirm everything Diana explains on in and out jewelry
Love your videos..but with being over 70 I would like more mature advice. On updating our wardrobes.. can you do another video for us aging ladies who love fashion ….
To be honest, I think everything she showed would be elegant and flattering at any age. (But I won't complain if she does another video)
What is the fashion type (casual) for wide hip women like me.
Those are the color jeans that I always buy.
Are turtleneck cashmere tops in? I have a long neck and like the warmth of a turtleneck?
They are timeless.
Always in, never been out
Land’s End has THE best. Double ply. Beautifully made, always on sale. I have most of their colors in turtleneck style as I live in Minnesota.
Will you share the link for your cashmere sweater? TIA
Are there no links to the shops where I could buy one or two of the nice clothes? The white winter jacket is so cute...
It’s the reversible one from Petite Studio. She presented it in a previous video. 😀
Fashion should personal and individual. Everyone should feel free to curate their own style. This is her conservative style. It does not have to be yours!!!
What brand is the white sherling coat ?
Petite studio nyc
I agree with all the outdated jeans. I have never liked buying them ripped, bleached or dirty washed, it is a bit absurd.
I would add paperbag waist jeans to your list. They were really trendy just a few years ago, but now they look really dated
paperwaist look terrible on most women. Very unflattering.
If you have a bit of a tummy, should you still tuck in?
Hi Dianna, please advise where that lovely spotted dress came from in your recent tights video. Happy Xmas x
Best regards
Stella from Switzerland
The best jeans for mature women are designed and sold by a mature woman…Diane Gilman on HSN. Her DG2 line is fabulous and has a lot of give! They fly out the door when she makes a presentation. Diane is THE person who styled most of the rock bands outfits back in the 60s-70s. She’s an amazing person. I love how her jeans fit, and they are comfy!
*amzrepe* versace bag is so cute
Love the black boots , where you bought it?
THANK YOU for saying that skinnies are going to come back, it's my most flattering fit for cooler weather, when I need layering!
But I disagree with chunky heels. What if you aim for this kind of look?
I don't particularly aim for that look, but chunky heels are the only ones that I can tolerate, so I'm keeping them too! 😂
Skinnies and knee-lenght boots are a match made in Heaven
Skinny jeans have never stopped working for easily tucking into boots. It’s all about balance with the rest of your outfit.
@JillianSiobhanMal I get that they are good for tucking into boots. I have a couple of pair of very slim legged jeans (slim o. my legs at least) that I have kept for that purpose. But the very tight skinny jeans just don't work on my very muscular legs.. lol!
I support them for that purpose on those that can wear them and they look great!
do u have any discount code for buying gingiberi?
Where are black kitten heel boots from?
Ba tually this is bsed on your complexion and body shape. I think it all depends on different shapes style even the color that this video is talking about.
So much good practical and classic advice but those elongated square toe boots are hideous. Goes to show style and fashiin are so personal. I believe you should wear what makes you feel good and confident for the occasion.
Thank you
Von welcher Firma ist das sheering jacket ? Danke 🙏
