🌴Aloha to our wonderful Ohana! Thank you for joining us today and tell us if you like the light green or think the original Fusion Bayberry color would have looked better! Take care, Dani and Sherry
First! I love how you two love each other!!! Its precious! Second! I love the tea cart and I like the lighter color better Mama! ;-) Good job girls!!! God bless you and all your hard work!
I love it! It turned out so great! My friend Amanda who flips furniture just picked up a cart just like this. So I sent her your video for some inspiration! I love the stencil! As far as the green goes at first I didn’t think I’d like the lighter green but at the end I really did! Way to go ladies 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you, Larissa! It really was a fun, little piece to work on and it turned out so sweet! It was screaming for some embellishment but we didn't want it too over the top. I think the stencil just gave it just the right amount of personality. Tell Amanda, "Good luck and have fun with it!"🤗
It's fabulous. Such a great job ladies. I'm in love. I love bayberry - painting my base kitchen units in it at mo. However, in this instance that beautiful light green was definitely the right choice. It's a beautiful colour. Good call Mom.
That cart is absolutely gorgeous!! You did an outstanding job. Now....for a little suggestion - NEVER use a power tool on your lap! This could be disastrous. ALWAYS put the item you are working on onto a solid surface before beginning work. Power tools have a way of getting away from you. Keep up the beautiful restorations.
Oh wow Ladies, Awesome saved! I love so much the wood and sage tones, the stencil make this tea cart stunning 🥂. Also Dani before you apply your stain, clean your piece with mineral spirits, this help the stain move around and make it even! I’m still in the learn process lol but I got that tip and works. Great job ladies ❤️❤️
For future issues with big slits use the saw dust with glue. Meaning the dust from the same project. So u will get a close match when staining that's if you're choosing to stain it also thank you for the tip you guys shared I have a t car that's been sitting for almost 2 years I'm dreading it you gave me hope so thank you ladies
Thanks Brittany! We have tried that trick before and it worked pretty good but we use a dust extractor with our sanders and end up with mixed dust from many different pieces so the color seems to be a bit different. We have a couple of pieces that we are dreading, too...Good luck with it!🤗
You saved this from certain doom! What a beautiful transformation ladies. 😍 The 2 tone is my jam no matter what color! Gotta love Arizona for the driest wood that ever existed though! A tip for the next time you have this happen - use splines. You can even create them from veneer sheets if it's getting stain. Cut a few strips in a matching wood tone then glue and use them like a shim - push into the crack until it's basically full. If you're painting instead of staining you can use actual shims (lower grade wood). Once the glue dries and everything sets, shave off the excess with a Chisel. 💕
😮 Thanks Jenn! That's a great idea to use splines. We ended up doing multiple layers of filler to build it up and it worked fine but of course, you have to let each layer dry and that takes time....there were a ton of cracks everywhere, some large and some small. in the end, it looks so much better but still a little "rustic".🤗
Hi Lee! Thank you! That is so cool that you have one! They really can be used in so many ways... as a table, a tea or coffee server, a bar cart or even as a plant stand. Even my husband loves it...😀
I Always look forward to your videos ....and I absolutely love how this cute Teacart came out Soo pretty ..I Enjoyed doing that Teacart I did in honor of breast cancer survivors...y'all did an amazing job 🥰❣️❣️
Thanks, Debra! Your tea cart turned out soooo pretty! I love the color and the transfer! And we love the fact that it was in honor of breast cancer survivors!💖💖💖
@@secondchanceohana you Both are My Heart. I Hope one day maybe you and mom's and Cactus Cutie etc Can Come to Tucson to Go to a lunch and Antique Mall that's Across the street from Me ..🥰🙏🙏❣️
This is just beautiful! I’m not a huge fan of stencils, but once again, you changed my mind. I love this, the color, contrast and stencil! Thank you again! ❤️❤️
Thanks, Mrs. Jax! Yes, we are curious about how long it will take to sell and how much we will get for it .... there are quite a few out there but I haven't seen any that have a stencil design in our area. 😀
Why didn't you spray the wood with water? Add ing moisture back into the wood will help the wood close. If the wood is to dry eventually it will pull away from the wood filler too!
Hi Ginger, Yes, we sure do. Matter-of-fact, we are spraying poly on the tea cart today at the same time as another piece. It saves a little time and cleaning to do 2 pieces at once. 🤗

So adorable I love that sage color! Some pieces are going to bring more profit than others but it's okay! It's a labor of love 💚💚💚
Thank you so much, Ali! It really was a fun and easy piece and it makes our hearts glad to give it more years to be loved.🤗
Really cute! Love the colors and stencils! Someone is going to love having that in thier home....priceless!
Thank you so much, Jim and Cindy!!!! We are thrilled with the way it turned out. It is soooo sweet.... (totally Mom's style)!😀
Such a beautiful transformation! That tops looks 100 times better! Well done you two!
Thank you, Walessa! Yes, we certainly had our doubts about that table top. It was such a mess!😬
I'm on team Bayberry. I think it would've contrasted with the wood better. But it is a lovely cart.
Thanks, Lisa! I think we were split about 50/50 on this one....😊

Such a sweet tea cart! Loved the tip of staining the wood fill before adding it to the piece.
Also…”wheely wheely hard” 🤣🤣🤣 you guys crack me up
Thank you, Sarah! 😂 Our husbands tell us we aren't funny (and we really aren't) but we like to have fun and definitely can be a bit quirky...😮

Not gonna lie, I would have loved to see it in the dark green.

I was going to say the same thing regarding the splines 👍😊
I have a special antique tea cart in my dining room my parents gave me so it was nice to see you bring this one back to life. So cute!

We are so blessed! 💖Even when we don't feel it (or act like it) we are assured that we have been made new because Christ lives in us!
Very cool. I just saw one of these and an antique booth for sale.

awesome transformation!
🌴Thanks, Janet! It was a very satisfying project, for sure!
How adorable 😍!!
😊Thanks so much, Marie! So glad you like it!!!
It looks so much better
😊 Thank you, Kathleen! Glad you like it!
The sage is very pretty, but the original Bayberry may have been more dramatic. It's a toss up 💜
😀 I think you are right, Laura! It was a hard decision... Thanks for watching!
Very pretty I'm going for the darker paint though
Thanks, Susan!!! Yay! It seems that both greens are very popular!😀
Why didn't you spray the wood with water? Add ing moisture back into the wood will help the wood close. If the wood is to dry eventually it will pull away from the wood filler too!
Does adding water into the wood work? It seems like it would just dry out again. Especially here in Phoenix....🤔😀
I gotta go with Mom! I like the lighter color. 😂😂. Its spring!
😍😘 Thanks Vickie! (This is Mom...) I think so too! 🌷🌹🌼
I like the lighter green ❤
Yay! Thanks, Paula!
Wouldn't soaking the wood, then clamping it together, After, then glue the cracks?
That sounds like a good technique to try. We have very limited experience with this type of wood damage, always like to try new things though! thanks
love the lighter color !
🤗 Hi, Lori! Thanks for weighing in and thanks for watching!😊
Yay for the LIGHT green!!!!!🤣😂
😬😂 Thanks for watching, Mom!!!
Someone else did a cart just like this one but found beautiful designs under the paint.
That one turned out great! The design was beautiful!
😵 Really? I didn't see that one! Sounds very cool!!!

🤗😘 Hi Caroline!!! (This is Mom) Dani is going to be so happy to hear that. And its true it would have looked lovely in either color!🙃😊
@@secondchanceohana I thought so too but I put barberry trees near my home and they have such beautiful colors as they change.
Great channel
Thanks so much!!
Sorry Sherry. I prefer the darker Bayberry this time
😬😂 Well .... I can't win them all!!!!😀 Thanks for watching, Ellen!
