You can’t beat a 4 legged friend. They always make you feel like the centre of their world. Daisy loves fetching but not so much going outside to do it. 😂😂🐶👍

Years ago my husband and I would go to a fancy restaurant for special occasions, and they had a coat room. When they took your coat, they gave you a numbered ticket to claim it on the way out. I think that is why there were numbers on the coat stand. I haven't seen a high chair like that in a really long time. Both pieces look fresh and new now Thank you for sharing. So glad to see your Daisy girl up to her tricks. Makes my day!💜💜💜

Grey has been my go to neutral for 30 years, even before it became a fad. It pairs well with so many fun colors. So, excellent choice by your customer and as usual, excellent redo by you. Cheers from the Finger Lakes in New York, USA. 🍷
Hi Kim, I personally like grey but often get a little bored when customers ask for it again and again. I like doing stuff in bold colours if I’m painting but I’m just happy doing what I do 😀😀👍
Forgot to mention that I am a spaniel lover as well ! I have had 5 cocker spaniels since 1988. Sadly, I lost my last one last summer. I am now mom to two rescue cavaliers, Molly and Sadie - they are such a joy. 😊 Your Daisy is so beautiful. I've never seen a coat like hers in the states. She is a gem. ❤

I found an old restaurant highchair similar to this one at a second-hand store. I tried to paint it. It was difficult without a sprayer. The problem was I am quite amateur at this. Improperly prepped, later the paint was peeling off. It was so cute though. I painted it white, and the seat restraints were different colors of webbing straps from the fabric store. It was my granddaughter's. Knowing the mistakes, I am getting better at this.
All you can do is learn from your mistakes. I'm learning new things every day as I make quite a few mistakes 🤣👍

It's nice to see run-of-the-mill furniture get some TLC. The interludes with Daisy are a treat. Does she have a yellow tennis ball? I used to have a terrier-poodle mix dog who lived for her tennis ball, so we made it a big family event when Punkin got a new ball. I'm thoroughly your work! Cheers!!!
Hi Maribob. She has a rubber ball that we throw for her in the park. She’s a little possessive over it and guards it for about 10 minutes after we get back. She really loves sift toys that squeak and has soooo many of them 🤣🤣🐶❤️
Beautiful. Sometimes you have to accept that some wood has had it’s day if it is not quality. This way means it gets to live a loner life.

I’m not a fan of painting over the grain instead of staining, but these items turned out great. The coat stand (by the way, I absolutely LOVE the new coat hooks) is very pretty, and the grey and silver paper is a stroke of genius.
I like the subtle transition between the colors on the high chair, despite the fact that they’re covering that beautiful wood grain. (I can’t deny that the old finish did make it look old and stodgy, but I have to wonder how this piece would look with a grey stain and the silver edges.) I’m sure the old finish and/or the bare wood had some flaws that I didn’t catch in the video, and the new grey and silver color scheme works well.
Overall, this is a very good job, and I’ll bet your customer was delighted. I’m glad you always save old hardware, because you never know when you’ll need exactly that piece of hardware for another project.
Hi Shirley, I actually have another high chair that the customer gave me for myself which i'll probably keep as woodgrain. This one the customer wanted grey paint and she was paying so she the boss 🤣👍
It's amazing Daisy does not chew or swallow and choke on those corks. She's a cutie pie. 🐕💕
She’s funny, she loves taking the corks then just chews it ever so slightly and comes back to me for another one. I might make an appeal to my viewers to send their used wine corks! 😂😂🐶❤️

I wasn’t sure what you could possibly do with these two uninspiring pieces of utilitarian furniture. You managed to clean them up, dress them up, and they will have a new life being useful again.

Daisy is a beautiful girl! Love her sassing barks! Did you use a child safe paint on the highchair? Gray is also popular here in the states as well! I live in NE Ohio, and its gray out alot so, I tend to like more earthy nature inspired color around me. Beautiful job with both pieces!
Hi Tom, I use Water based products pretty much all of the time on my pieces and I certainly did with these. and I know this paint/topcoat is Kid Safe. Grey is definitely still popular here in the UK as its a pretty Safe colour. Thanks for your great comments. Cheers 😀🐶👍

Hi Anna, fortunately Daisy isn't in the Workshop with me all the time, just when my wife is not working at home. Daisy much prefers the warm house than the cold workshop. Good shout on the Dexter thing, I loved that show when it was on and never thought of that when I applied the plastic.......Or did I!!??? hahahhaaha 😂😀🐶👍
