Yes yes yes! Makeup is next for me to switch over to low waste/ecofriendly/diy-for-the-fun-of-it once my current products run out. Thank you for sharing your recipe!
Thank you for the video! It really works! But be careful with cocoa powder though. I found out it made mascara gone bad and I tried one without it and it’s still perfect (yes, I made an experiment 😁) PS. Absolutely love your house plants! Keep going with your interesting content!
i have been on the look out for colorfull mascaras, but they dont really exist or if they are on amazon they are suspicious ( like it could be pva glue) also clear mascara to mix with colors is expensive, and so i have been thinking, instead of throwing out eyeshadows that i dont really use ( since sometimes you get kits for a few shades then the rest is similar to others you dont have....) i was thinking to slowly make them into mascara over time. its both less wastefull and i have some control over then ingredients and also i do get more product for less money, i was wondering, i already have liquid coconut oil that i use to remove my makeup, do you thing i could use that instead of vitamin oil ? i have found pure aloe that has a little glycerin in it... i find it hard to find good aloe thats pure enough but not literal water. i would use the clay, aloe, bees wax, eyeshadow and coconut oil. i just dont see myself using vitamin E much... and the clay i could make mask, the aloe is always good for skin and the bees wax can become candles at worst.
Hello! Love your video thank you for the infomation 🥰 i know this is an old post, but may I ask you how long can this DIY natural mascara be stored? must it be kept in the fridge? Thank you so much!
@@eco.amical thank you for this awesome recipe! It really works! I used mica powder instead of the charcoal just because I didn't have any and it worked great! ♥️ I will now be able to save a lot of money, plastic being released into the environment while not damaging my eye lashes with harsh chemicals
@@barbaratakacs1520 I am so happy you tried the recipe and that you can now make your own to reduce waste 🌎 your comment make my day. Thank you so much!
I tried both jojoba oil and castor oil but it doesn't give the same effect. Vitamin e oil makes it stick better on eyelashes castor oil made it run. Vitamin e oil also acts as a preservative 😊
Can i add Castor oil to the ingredients? Because i try it on my hair it i got some amazing results and my hair got thicker but kinda scared to put it on my eyelashes incase if it gets to my eyes

This is awesome! Mascara is one of the items I really struggle with in terms of finding a low waste option.
Thanks so much for watching. I tried so many recipes without sucess. Glad I finally created one that works for me :)
@@eco.amical Is the consistency solid?

I know it's years late, but would not the mascara be too firm/hard because there is no oil to smoothe the wax a little bit? Thank you.
How long can this last? Does it expire?
Is it possible to use only activated charcoal + aloe vera gel?
I love this video and all ur videos 🥰 can't wait for a new one
Thank you I’ll try it ❤❤
Hi where can i find your new updated recipe?? Thankyou :)
Apparently waterproof mascara curls better. So perhaps one can put a waterproof layer off sorts over the top.
Please guide, do we have to add 2 tbl spoon of vit e and the amount of charcoal powder and bentonite clay less than 1/4 if then how much to add?
hey! awesome video! Does Carnauba wax work too?
Thanks for the video!! Do you dilute the lavender essential oil or just put in a small drop?
Plz tell substitute of lavander oil
Hi! Can I put this in mascara bottles? Or does it have a different consistency

Ths will last up to 6 months washing the wand inbetween uses to degrease bacteria growth
Do you use Calcium or sodium bentonite clay, Christine?
I used calcium bentonite clay 😊

Do you use natural aloe Vera gel or from the store? And if I where to use natural aloe Vera wouldn’t it go bad fast?
Replacement for beeswax
Soy wax
Candelila wax
this is amazing!
Took me 2 years to develop this recipe 😍
Can I use coconut oil instead of lavender ?
What can I use instead of beeswax ?
Can i use jojoba or castor oil instead of vitamin e oil?

Great video except vitamin E is an antioxidant NOT a preservative.

no unfortunately for me it didn't work with castor oil and would smudge
@@eco.amical Ow thank you 🥰
Interestingly, things I'm interested in doing just line up with zero waste. I'm just here because i like making things.
I followed your recipe and my mascara is not doing anything on my lashes 😔 the consistency is in clumps and I followed the exact measurements 😞
this is a more waxy texture I have changed the recipe on my end adding more vitamin e oil and reducing charcoal and bentonite.
Ur so pretty!
😀👍🏼
