    This is perfect. I have a lady at work that hasn’t crocheted in years, but wants to finish a blanket that her gramma started. She can’t remember how to turn… so I’m gonna have her make one of these first so I can show her how to crochet again!!! Thank you Jennifer

      Knitting is a hobby. So boy and girl can do it. It doesn't have to be a girl.

      Many men knit and crochet. One of my best friends does both, as does his wife; and now his almost teenage son is interested. These hobbies are good for your brain (math and spatial thinking) as well as your hands. Always be you, who you are!

      Why don’t you make a granny square shrug for work, use a hook 2 sizes up from Recommended on yarn strip. I made an aran with Wool one, it’s super cosy. I followed another UA-cam tutorial for it, but it’s a popular pattern so you can find it easily.

    Save yourself a lot of grief and crochet Loosely on this one. The puffs can be challenging if they're too tight. And if you have yarn that splits, you'll be in big trouble. I'm doing this to use up some of my stash.

    Jennifer, I was watching the video and Row one you said "DC, Chain 2, DC" in the actual video you did DC, Chain 1, DC" I don't have the actual pattern with me but I thought I point out that little hiccup in the video.

    Would this pattern be for like cooler weather or is it light enough for a warm summer night? I love this pattern I can’t wait to try one.

    • @kimquinn7728
      @kimquinn7728 3 роки тому +1

      You can make that decision yourself by the yarn choices you make. A heavier worsted may be great for fall/ winter, whereas a #3 may be all you need for spring summer. Any shawl pattern is determined heavy or light enough by the yarn we choose to use.

    Your video tutorial has a chain one in your v stitch but the pattern had a chain 2 in the middle. Which is correct?

    • @fiberflux
      @fiberflux  5 років тому +5

      Just modified, but added this note to the pattern too: "Note : In the video and written pattern, I work a ch 1 in between each "V' of the v-stitch. However, if you are getting some tightness or "bunchiness", try working a ch 2 instead. Tension varies between crocheters and that puff is can be slightly bulky, so try both and see what works best for you!"

    i would like to make this for a friend she is probably a size 2x. can you help me with the size ? maybe double the starting chain? not sure what your demo size will fit. maybe a medium ?

    • @kimquinn7728
      @kimquinn7728 3 роки тому +1

      I have several friends and myself, who are definitely plus size. For our preference we like rectangular wraps to be 20-24" wide. I always take them to 70" long. That is generous. 50" x 18", meh. For smaller sizes and narrower shoulders maybe. Just my experience. Hope this helps.

    Just to clarify, when you created the first V stitch, you explained to do a DC chain two and do another DC, however you only chain one when creating the V stitch. The written pattern calls for two chain for the V stitch. Which way is correct? Thanks!

    • @fiberflux
      @fiberflux  5 років тому +1

      You are absolutely correct! I went back into the pattern and changed it to ch 1, but added a little note about a ch 2: From the blog: "Note : In the video and written pattern, I work a ch 1 in between each "V' of the v-stitch. However, if you are getting some tightness or "bunchiness", try working a ch 2 instead. Tension varies between crocheters and that puff is can be slightly bulky, so try both and see what works best for you!"

    Is a puff stitch the same as a bobble?

    • @luwandaartrelle4250
      @luwandaartrelle4250 5 років тому +1

      No. The bobble stitch is 4 or 5 dc together and a puff stitch you yarn over three or 4 times. Hope that helps.
