This was so relatable because I felt unseen most of my life. So I sometimes search and long to be seen/noticed. These verses came to mind & will help me to remember! To be good and, not worry about being seen. “Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”” 1 Corinthians 1:31 NIV ““And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.” Matthew 6:5 NIV I noticed lately that being seen is a pride thing. Wanting the compliments and the attention. But even if I get those compliments, that will be my reward in full. So I would rather be good and seen/known by God alone!
Interesting that I got the notification for this just about a minute after finishing my evening prayer. I suppose I'll just keep being me to be good and not known. Fame has never been my motivation entirely, and that's good. Comfort and peace that comes from God is all.

I have been wrestling with pride of people knowing me as a great singer, but the songs we sing are for His glory and praise alone. So I won’t be the leader of a song but just a choir member. Make a good sound with the choir but I won’t be known.

I prayed and asked God for what He wanted me to see or hear before I opened my UA-cam after talking with her and having time in the Word with Him. Your video was the first thing to pop up as I opened UA-cam. I appreciate you greatly and praise God for the messages of yours I have listened to. But, I do not watch you regularly because I do not watch anyone regularly. I seek the Word day and night and put my trust in Him. He leads me to what He wants me to see or hear. I’ll choose good over being known by professing my faith to others, then to not and not furthering my faith or my relationship with God by hiding it just for me to be known, I need to let others know His beauty and what He can do then hide for us sinners who have absolutely nothing equivalent or significant as that.
I really want to be able to choose God in my life daily. Cause I feel like if I don't work I'm wasting my time. But I should remember that God owns my life and that nothing will move unless I put him first

Today, I just read a 100+ year old novel called Wind in the Willows. The story shows the life of an unruly and proud character and his transformation from being proud and always wanting to be the center of attention to choosing meekness instead. He is helped by his loyal and wise friends. The story truly made me think about God's grace and His mercy in my life. Also an easy read, so great book for kids. God bless you, brother.
This video is what I NEEDED!!!! I have struggled with people pleasing, specifically the validation of man (Galatians 1:10) for a very long time! The question being known by God or man hit so deep. @@ElizabethOberiko101 To be honest I am still struggling with this, but as I have been surrendering to God this is coming to an end. God is taking me through a season of letting go, specifically with having that pleasing of man as a treasure and fear. What I mean by that is having something as a treasure is not always a good or pleasing thing. If it is above God and it affects me like an idol I need to let it go. I also mention fear because I do not want to offend or make people angry, which is why I have been prone to people please. Through this season God has me caring more about what he thinks than man. The verse that comes to mind is Hebrews 11:6, “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” I recommend reading Hebrews 11 as a whole because it talks about faith which is how we please God. Along with faith it is important to always go back to God and let him have that treasure, that struggle and be willing to commit to letting go in the heart not just with words. I had to realize I had to let go in the heart as well and let Jesus have that space people pleasing has occupied. Through this breakthrough will come. Give yourself grace too because there will be days when we will fall short because we are human and not perfect. God is faithful and will bring you right back and refocus your perspective on him as the true being we need to please. It is a progress sister and it’s like picking up our cross daily and denying ourselves but by the strength, endurance and love of God he got you. Remember Jesus can carry your burdens and his yolk is light - Matthew 11:30. Trust him sis! Praying for you too!

Amen so true and timely word. I can attest to this, all my Christian walk with Christ I've been seeking to be who God called me to be and that's not wrong but my motives was wrong. I know what he called me to be but I've been wanting to step into it so I can get the followers and the likes and wanted people to know who I am or who I was and I was in that spiral of things that when I didn't become who I thought was what God called me to be I just quiver and I lost faith, then trials happened and that pushed me right back out into sin. That's when I came to my senses like the prodigal son and I'm at a place spiritually where I just want to be known by God, I want to know God and not much do ministry because I feel unworthy to take part in his ministry.

This was a good video and simple message I needed from God. I recently opened up my UA-cam Channel out of Obedience (I had been running away from this for a long time) not necessarily running away from opening a channel but what I was to do on that channel which would be to share my life journey as I move in it with Christ Jesus and the gospel as this is what we are called to do. When I finally did I was inclined not to share it on my other social media platform such as my Instagram and instead let it grow organically and let God do with the channel what He may. On several occasions I would, still do (that’s why this video is so good) check numbers and views and likes and think to myself if I just share this on my Instagram story people will come flocking and deep in me I know it’s not for the right reason. It is to be known and not good. Doing good is just putting my head down and uploading the videos I am led to My life, motherhood as a new single mum and most importantly His Word. So thank You for reminding me to reduce myself so He may increase.

Amen, this is so solid. I left IG as well. I let my phonics nonprofit go and seriously looking to stop tutoring all together on Saturdays. I have a tight schedule and right now I feel like on my two off days I need to utilize it for Bible study, especially now that I’ve committed to volunteer with the teens bible study at church on Sundays. I asked the question to God like, how come I’m not passion driven and confident in sharing the gospel why am I so shy over it, but extremely successful with getting kids to read in 4-6 months with patience and passion when I’m tutoring? The answer came to me that I don’t read or study the Bible enough. Letting go of tutoring on Saturdays will allow me access to read focus and study. Especially now since my daughter will be in college in August and I will be an empty nester. People in the Las Vegas community know me for my skills with getting kids to read, but I’m ready to let that go to grow students in the gospel. Once you’re a teacher you’re always a teacher, the material is just changing. Amen.
i find beauty & simplicity in being with Christ & being known & hidden by him. i loved being used by him but i like when it’s him showing through me versus me showing up as myself. it profits a man nothing to gain the world but forfeit his soul. i want Jesus to know me more than the world & be used by him to contribute to the good of the world but do it for him 🙏🏽

hi! I loved this one. I want to be good rather than known. In my heart, I have this evil and sick feeling everyday. Showing up to work, I thought taking care of children would be life changing for me. I thought being known for being a mentor, instructor, friend to these kids would give me that. And God sent me here. I need to dial it back. Find Christ and give Him my presence and time, that’s how things will change. Only through him can I be good, not by my own actions. I need him before I can start work that needs a good heart.
Jesus sees you and says well done my good and faithful servant every day as your ministry with your wife is much more than fame. Nothing beats being known by Jesus Christ!

Amen, this is so solid. I left IG as well. I let my phonics nonprofit go and seriously looking to stop tutoring all together on Saturdays. I have a tight schedule and right now I feel like on my two off days I need to utilize it for Bible study, especially now that I’ve committed to volunteer with the teens bible study at church on Sundays. I asked the question to God like, how come I’m not passion driven and confident in sharing the gospel why am I so shy over it, but extremely successful with getting kids to read in 4-6 months with patience and passion when I’m tutoring?
The answer came to me that I don’t read or study the Bible enough. Letting go of tutoring on Saturdays will allow me access to read focus and study. Especially now since my daughter will be in college in August and I will be an empty nester. People in the Las Vegas community know me for my skills with getting kids to read, but I’m ready to let that go to grow students in the gospel. Once you’re a teacher you’re always a teacher, the material is just changing. Amen.

i find beauty & simplicity in being with Christ & being known & hidden by him. i loved being used by him but i like when it’s him showing through me versus me showing up as myself. it profits a man nothing to gain the world but forfeit his soul. i want Jesus to know me more than the world & be used by him to contribute to the good of the world but do it for him 🙏🏽

hi! I loved this one. I want to be good rather than known. In my heart, I have this evil and sick feeling everyday. Showing up to work, I thought taking care of children would be life changing for me. I thought being known for being a mentor, instructor, friend to these kids would give me that. And God sent me here. I need to dial it back. Find Christ and give Him my presence and time, that’s how things will change. Only through him can I be good, not by my own actions. I need him before I can start work that needs a good heart.
Jesus sees you and says well done my good and faithful servant every day as your ministry with your wife is much more than fame. Nothing beats being known by Jesus Christ!
