I think God is removing me from letting my day be defined by what things I accomplish that the world says make a good day. For example, getting a workout done early in the morning. I think instead of that being the first thing on my mind to get done when I wake up, I should focus on reading God's word and praying to Him. ❤

"Where am I finding my security?" I am finding my security in God, I am trying to. Worldy things get in the way sometimes but I always try to obey God and his word daily. Amen! Just like what I did with my new job. I started even though I dont know what I will earn, when I will get paid or how much I have to work. I just did it. Even though I have made stupid money decisions and "should" go for a job where i know all of this. But I knew that I only want to rely on the security of god and not be a slave to all the other things. God is good. God is gracious.

if i am going to be honest, i find my securities on a financial basis. My wife graduates next summer and we have been waiting to have kids until after college/when we feel like enough money will support the kids. I felt this message as well with what i do when i get home, some days it’s netflixing throughout the night and some days i look at my wife and we haven’t even touched the Word or gotten into our quiet time. Thank you guys ❤️

This caused me to search my heart, to truly question myself my decisions and my heart posture about some decisions I’ve already made, my MOTIVES in doing what I do. Am k burying the dead? Or trusting in “man’s security”/ false security, am I trusting in Christ or in myself….. this was so good I am in tears almost…. I’m ready to cry bc of some hard things I may have to do, and how deeply drastically my future could potentially be changed. Pray for me please!

I'm 27 and a first year student at varsity. Maaan my security has been placed in my marks and my financial aid. And I recently found myself so distressed and anxious when my allowance didn't come through and my marks dropped. I'm learning that real security only comes from God and serving Him with all my heart and soul.

Thank you for this message and helping us rest in God. I would say whether buying a home or renting has nothing to do with living righteously. It’s more about understanding what you wanted and taking the risks. Whether do you want to rent or own a home fit for you. I do understand the fomo feeling and feeling like we may did something wrong or God punishing us. But it’s 2 different thing. Someone who’s buying a home may also be living righteously.
It’s also what can I afford at the moment.
Hi there! Thank you for your feedback! We were not saying that owning or renting a home determines whether or not you’re living righteously. I was just sharing my struggle in desiring to own a home, but not being in the place to do so and that regardless if we rent or own God will take care of us because His word says, “I have been young and now I am old, yet I have not seen the righteous abandoned or his children begging for bread” (Psalm 37:25). :)

Although I only train Jiu Jitsu two days a week, I spend a lot of time watching instructionals in between, but often I get carried away and allow it to interfere with my time with God. This one was for me.
Im crying for the people of Hawaii who lost their homes. Let us know if there are any mission trips we can do to help. I cant afford to donate and it breaks my heart.

Prayer request: I am struggling severely with anxiety. I started to have panic attacks almost two years ago now and not sure of how to get out of this cycle. I became a believer 3-4 years ago now and didn’t have issues with anxiety like this and I am unsure of how to pray for this situation I’m in since I have prayed for healing but not sure if that is the right thing to pray or if I need to pray this situation differently.

Don’t really agree with this message. I’ve been following your channel for a year or so and everything you guys post is fantastic and it has helped to get closer to God but certain comments like “ No need to worry about how many kids we are going to have or about the money” that seems irresponsible
God does not provide materialistic things but then you say we do not need to worry because God will provide. How so? Isn’t that a contradiction?
Don’t we have free will? I think is our responsibility to provide for ourselves and our families without asking to much from God other than just being thankful
This episode leave me with a bitterness feeling. What I get is that we should get used to live a mediocre life because God will provide at some point and even if he never does in this life, that’s OK because he will provide in the next life, personally this seems rather pessimistic that optimistic.
As a Christian I don’t believe in this doctrine, we should approach life with humbleness and put God in the centre of our life so he can be glorify but in the meantime we should work hard to try to have a good life here so when the time is due we can live a better life in eternity together with Jesus
This sounds a lot like The poverty gospel, is funny how you guys complain about the prosperity gospel but then tend to lean to the poverty gospel.

26:04 I want to clarify since I myself got confused but he's not saying you shouldn't plan your life to be successful or flourishing enough to raise up your kids into the Christians they need to be but he's saying that in that planning you should put the security of success in God's hands as he is the One who gives, so can he take.
As you put security in God and live in his ways you'll find yourself naturally acquiring the life that's required to raise them up. Why?, because when you walk in the way of the Lord so shall you find his goodness.
Sure, they may be storms on the way but He'll make you make it through them and in the end you'll be rewarded for the perseverance. 🫶🏾
