As I understand, the Dell Precision T7920 can use the Dell Quad NVMe PCIe adapter to support four m.2 cards up to 4TB (16TB total). I plan on buying (in 2024) a T7920 with the adapter and four Samsung 2TB m.2 980 or 990 EVO (8 TB total). How do I set these drives up to be a RAID (1 or 10) and Windows (10 or 11 Pro) boot drive? I know it is possible because you can order a 7920 from Dell in this configuration (RAID and bootable). Thank you.
are there cpu fan connections? looks like it uses a passive cpu heatsink, but if i wanted to add better cooling, i didnt see anything near the cpu's for power
These workstations are designed to run 24/7. Their built in cooling is purpose built for the machine and changing it might make the rest of the thermal design worse. I would avoid it personally.
@@deanwilliams433 bro… you and I both know just adding a fan would make a world of difference. Plus there are multiple forms with this exact question on the cpu throttling due to heat. Stop fanboying dell and stop telling lies to others
Yes, but you can have a top of the line gaming PC for less than this workstations mid config costs. If you are tempted by how fast these depreciate and buy used, you can put a non-workstation graphics card inside and they will do just fine.
i use my HP xeon z workstation mostly to game on, its a popular choice now to get a xeon cpu based workstation as a gaming pc and are just as good and sometimes better than higher end i5 and i7 cpus that are even several generations ahead of the xeon being used but at a much lower price. the wattage is kinda high when using a workstation to game on and not vary economical depending on the cost of electric in your area. but workstations are a vary good way to go if you want a powerful gaming pc, depending on if you choose the right higher core clock xeon cpu and of course a comparably decent gpu as well

@@ace8656 nah You have no clue how these machines are designed and you are obviously not the target audience for them
@@ace8656😂 you have no idea what you're talking about.
@@Gorilla_Jones yea you right, pushing hot air out of a case does nothing. Silly me
does the RTX 5000 16gb in T7920 has 4 display port?
How much does it cost
My entire house!
the one i want costs as much as a decent new car
a wide range from a few thousands ($5k) to tens of thousands ($50K)
@@chunhualiao8191 no 25000$
i tried the config in dell website and if you go almost full spect it may go even 150'000 $
Can these PC be used for gaming
sure but they are not made for it so with hardware made for gaming you can get the same gaming performance for less money
I don't recommend. The GPU's are optimized for things like machine learning and data science.

@@afrowitchdr this was a long time ago thanks for answering
Hello, my dell 7920t does not turn on and does not send a code, it only has a solid white light, which could be the problem =(
Solid white light means it is on and nothing is wrong.
