My dad has a non-black Street Glide as well. It's kind of hilarious you said that, because I always give him crap about that too. I would be envious if my bike held value the same way his did though. It's a great bike to just soak up highway miles, which is what he primarily uses his for.
I said I’d never buy a black street glide. While road king shopping I sat on a used one at a dealer that already was modified nicely. I now own a black street glide. 🤣. It’s the right bike for me. Love the stereo.

Love my 08 SG. Its the perfect balance between style and comfort . I've had smaller bikes in the past, and while yes they are fun, at the end of the day i wanted something where i can go miles and miles with comfort and without feeling beat up
I'm not normally a Harley Davidson fan but I went on a small group ride this weekend and one of the guys had a 2019 HD Softail Slim. I fell in love with that bike. One of the coolest modern Harley's I've seen.

Riding any reasonably piped Noisy Davidson is like playing an instrument on a stage. As you roll on, let off, and shift, you just spend the time listening to the song you are creating. Then you keep looking around to see if your fans are turning to look at you cruise by. It says “look at me , look at me”. And when you ride in a HD group, you all take turns playing solos. “Look at us, look at us”. We are sooooooo cool. Can’t say I miss all that since I got my Triumph 1200 Triple.
Hey Sean, I would have enjoyed this ride much more if I could only see through those leather pouches :) My brother has a Street Glide and it is b-a-d-a-s-s! It's all black. He did rock some new pipes on it and I'm sure when he rides around his mountain community, the sound and reverberation must cause some minor avalanches. Like you I love the sound of the engine with just that classic music of the Harley stock pipes. I owned an '08 FLSTF while living and working in Southern California and regret selling it...got more than what I paid for it, though. I promised my wife that I would quit riding but man, when it's in your blood (since age 19, now 73) it's hard not to falter on a promise. I find myself looking forward to your rides. Don't be surprised that I make a journey up to your shop to pick up a bike.

I have a 2012 ember red sunglow. I bought it because I didn't want to be like everyone else and I wanted to be seen by other drivers. I also wanted to be able to go on long rides in comfort. 6 gal fuel tank gives them incredible range.
Decided not to ride the rest of this season and I sold my 09 Busa. Maybe at 30 years old it's time 2 buy my first Harley Davidson. The Street Glide really sounds like a winner.🤔😎

Well you know Suzuki makes a m109, go try one out before you sit on a toilet. The M or boulevard series comes in different flavors as well. They are in the cruiser class. Don't get a m50 though those are just disappointments unless you plan to travel from California to New York, then they have REALLY good fuel efficiency but they are slower than a fully loaded 93 civic and struggle to hit 60-70.
Another non-black street glide owner is here. Have had my 2020 Street Glide special since she was new and I can easily see me riding her for another 10 years!
I'm going to look at a 2013 streetglide this afternoon. Wasnt in the market for one. I buy and sell bikes but generally on a much cheaper scale. Havnt found much lately and saw this streetglide advertised and threw out an offer I didn't think would be accepted and seller is willing to deal. Hopefully its as clean as the pictures. Book value is between 3k and 7k more than im paying so I should be able to make some cash and have fun riding until it sells. Has 17k miles, stage 1 upgrades with rinehart true duals. Just a nice clean streetglide.
I rented a Street Glide from Eaglerider a couple of years ago. It looked cool, sounded cool and was pretty decent at going straight. Definitely the type of motorcycle I'd prefer to rent rather than own.
I have the same bike (I went for the "Power Package" upgrade to the 103ci), color and year! I've upgraded the sound system too. I can't hear the bikes 101hp exhaust coming out the Vance & Hines 2 into 1 High Output Pro Pipe With the sound up. I love Metallica and have been known to pump up the volume. I might be getting old but, I'm not dead yet! It's the BEST Harley-Davidson I've owned!
Had a 2009 SG, Really liked it. Sold it and paid the house off 5 years sooner. Yeah it was real temping to go buy me another one....But old bones heal lot slower then younger bones.....

I have a black 2014 Street Glide 😂It's a firefighter special edition . I've thrown the HD and Kuryakyn catalog at it . Black and chrome and I absolutely love it . I did rent like a 2007 model in 2007.when i came to the States on holiday because I lived in England at the time. Fast forward in the States now got the 2014 but WOW felt like a different bike . Why? Well they did the project Rushmore on it bigger motor 103 thicker forks ect ect , it felt a LOT HEAVER . Its. Great on the move but I have to watch it paddling around the car park. Also my friend just bought essentially the same bike , BLACK 😂with the M8 107 in it . In my opinion Black is the best color for a slammed SG.
It's great that this bike is for sale unfortunately they won't get back to you. I have tried to contact him a couple times about a goldwing that they had for sale and they never got back to me ever.
Most guys who buy the streetglide will buy a tourpak so their ridin partner has more room to take more stuff!! I have tank straps for my 05 Deuce..they work awesome!! The words of wisdom is the main reason I did subscribe!..You guys rock it!!

I had a Sedona Orange 2011 Street Glide. The compensator had to be changed every 6,000 miles. That's right, we had to crack open the engine every year and fix the crappy compensator that Harley "designed". I loved the color and the feel of the bike. I drove mine for two years and only lost $1,500. Not bad as far as that goes.
These bikes are heavy with slow movements around town. These are made for straight line highways. Just like Detroit only makes straight line cars that have trouble turning vs European cars.
Your right about some american cars strait line but not all. Even way back in the 80s when they would do the mustang camero shoot out the mustang always won in a strait line but put them in the cones and the camero was years ahead of the mustang in suspension and breaks. The mustangs ass would start to skid out at 60mph in stock form nose heavy ass light just like all muscle cars. But the iroc was perfectly balanced had better wheels and bigger tires better springs and 4 wheel disk when mustang still had rear drum. It would stay stable in the cones up to 120 b4 ass started to try and kick out. Not bad for a 80s all stock american car. I've always been a mustang guy have a 90 hatch in the garage now but I owned a 89 iroc when I was a kid and I could stomp the gas send it sideways and let go of the wheel and long as I stayed in it and didnt get it to far out the car would correct its self. You tried that with a stock fox body of the same era and you would be in the ditch.
Long story. I live in Japan as a missionary. I plan to take my first vacation in 6 years to visit the states again this year. My goal is to do a road trip from Washington state to Florida for fundraising for the mission field. My dream bike to do it on Is a goldwing with a drivers backrest and camp my way. My yearly income is about $12k. And I would love to know what you recommend for the journey?
I just got my first harley davidson it's a 2022 street glide standard in Midnight Crimson the black is nice but I found it scratches to easily but that's just my opinion from when I road a black suzuki bolavard C50t

prob one of the best Harley's on the roads nowadays. but heck even a gold wing weighs less then this like 780 lbs?. You don't really see them come out of a garage until bike week or the occasional group rides etc. you guys should do a comparison road trip on bikes and beards using the street glide vs Yamaha FJR, gold wing, heck toss in a duke 1290, etc for best road trip bikes for the dollar. what could possibly go wrong lol.
I've never understood a stereo on a bike, i like the sound of the bike and the wind rushing past. If you want to listen to music get a helmet with Bluetooth speakers and hook it up to your phone!
Hey I have one of those limited edition Vivid black ultra classic bikes. And it isn’t 65 it is 55 and up that likes pinstripes lol. I got a great deal on a black one with gray pinstripe. I wish it was another color. Keep an eye on a good yellow Goldwing

What in the world was the person using those pouches for? Those are the biggest waste of space and money. Can you see over the windshield? The camera would make it seem like you can't see over the windshield. ...and those pouches alone give Harley owners a bad name.
I have the low profile pouches and windshield on mine have no trouble seeing over them and they are handy as hell for sun glasses and other small items you like having withing a quick grab.

Better then a Road Glide. It feels like the shark nose fairing is WAY to far away for me . 5’8. The Road Glide is better for taller riders.
Put 13 inch rear shocks on and lowers and u can ride accross country an be 100lbs lighter then an Electra Glide.

That orange color is amazing.
That’s not an Ultra! The Ultra has rear speakers on the Tour Pak, Fairing Lowers, along with electronic crude control. That is just an Electra Glide.

I've always been a mustang guy have a 90 hatch in the garage now but I owned a 89 iroc when I was a kid and I could stomp the gas send it sideways and let go of the wheel and long as I stayed in it and didnt get it to far out the car would correct its self. You tried that with a stock fox body of the same era and you would be in the ditch.

Long story. I live in Japan as a missionary. I plan to take my first vacation in 6 years to visit the states again this year. My goal is to do a road trip from Washington state to Florida for fundraising for the mission field. My dream bike to do it on Is a goldwing with a drivers backrest and camp my way. My yearly income is about $12k. And I would love to know what you recommend for the journey?

I just got my first harley davidson it's a 2022 street glide standard in Midnight Crimson the black is nice but I found it scratches to easily but that's just my opinion from when I road a black suzuki bolavard C50t

prob one of the best Harley's on the roads nowadays. but heck even a gold wing weighs less then this like 780 lbs?. You don't really see them come out of a garage until bike week or the occasional group rides etc. you guys should do a comparison road trip on bikes and beards using the street glide vs Yamaha FJR, gold wing, heck toss in a duke 1290, etc for best road trip bikes for the dollar. what could possibly go wrong lol.

I've never understood a stereo on a bike, i like the sound of the bike and the wind rushing past. If you want to listen to music get a helmet with Bluetooth speakers and hook it up to your phone!
You make a good point! But.... when your bike has two 10” subs, four tweeters and two 6.5’s you may want to pull up to your friends and show out lol

What in the world was the person using those pouches for? Those are the biggest waste of space and money. Can you see over the windshield? The camera would make it seem like you can't see over the windshield.
...and those pouches alone give Harley owners a bad name.
Pouches come in handy on road trips.. the camera is mounted at his chin. It’s a tad lower.
I have the low profile pouches and windshield on mine have no trouble seeing over them and they are handy as hell for sun glasses and other small items you like having withing a quick grab.
