If you slow down the video 0.5x and watch it step by step, you learn quite a bit. Just do the same thing he's doing for learning purposes.

I enjoyed this video so much, of all the videos I've watched about Chief Architect, you've been the best person to explain things about this software properly. i can’t seem to get the dimensions to show up once i close the floor plan, any way to fix this ?

Will the architectural program give you a B.O.M. list?
Yes, Architectural includes an automatic materials list you can use for cost estimating.
Can this program draw curved walls in different heights ?.

Can you make a split level design with the suite version?

So I have 2021 but curious as to why I should upgrade to 2023? Sad to say but I haven't even used the software I already have. Always overseas and no time to grab home dimensions to start a base drawing.

Hi alltough it's been 1 years if you see this I am new to Chief Architect using X13. little question at around 57.56 on the second level plan you can see a wall that is part of the first level. what is to be done that when you send the second floor this wall does not show. on my plan second level I have a couple of these wall showing up because the high is higher than the second floor. thank you.
Hi Michel. When you adjust your 1st floor ceiling height, it should automatically adjust the 2nd floor to accommodate. Why does my automatic room labels show different dimensions than the interior dimensions tool?
The manual dimensions measure from the framing layer and the interior dimensions measure from the interior drywall layer.
@@ChiefArchitect so the room label is which of those? I was using the interior dimension as my guide but I thought the room label was supposed to match that

how to I set the wall height to 16'?
You can double click in the room to open the specifications, and under the structure panel, there will be options to adjust the height.
Can I change the dimensions from feet to meters?

how to change measurements unit to Foot?
Select Edit> Default Settings to display the Default Settings dialog.
Select the Dimension category to highlight it, then select the Edit button to open the Dimension Defaults dialog.
On the Format panel, use the Units drop-down menu to select feet.

Yes. The software is a single user license but you may download it on as many computers as you would like as long as the software is not being used at the same time.

I've been following the tutorial step by step and when I click open specification it says "You can't open the specification dialog for the selected objects bcoz they are incompatible types".
