They basically added more AutoCAD features to allow you to create full plan sets. I've been using HDP to create my floorplans and 3D renders then export them into AutoCAD to complete the plan set.

Wish I'd found this video before buying HDP 2021. Been in CAD since 1985, and it never occurred to me that a 3D software as advanced as HDP is, would NOT have the ability to have saved Layer Sets and multiple Sheet layout printing. Silly me just assumed it would, and basically it's wasted money. It's a deliberate business strategy to get consumers to upgrade to CA for $200 a month.
Not having just those 2 features as standard is like buying a car, then finding out the wheels are another $200 a month.

Could the difference be one’s for a full time architect or designer and the other is for homeowners and interior designer?

I am not in the business, but I would be grateful for your input.
I just need something that will let me draw a 3d floor-plan and drop in cabinets that I can resize in all 3 dimensions to make them fit so I can figure out what I want to do remodeling a room for locations and sizes of cabinets and furniture.
I do not want a subscription or anything that takes months to learn. Just a one time buy for a lay person.
Any feed back is appreciated, thank you.

I hope my question does not offend. We have a basic L-shaped ranch home. We are in the very early thought stages of considering a 13’ x 13’ master bath addition. I am a very visual person. Do you know of very basic rudimentary software, or possibly an app that will allow me to play with different roof ideas?? My artistic skills are nonexistent and frustrating. I don’t need anything at this stage that would include electrical or plumbing schematics. Thank you

      It's a Windows 10 machine:
      Core(TM) i7-9700K CPU @ 3.60GHz, 3600 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)
GeForce GTX 1070 (Waiting for the RTX 3080 or above to be available again)
      32 GB RAM
      Solid State Drive
It's about 5 years old and I plan on replacing it soon. It works fine but it's about time to start cleaning things up again.
