I don't think the gauge reacts quickly to the amount of fuel in the tank. We were cruising the 1,000 Islands and the gauge was showing 8 bars. We stopped for a swim and upon restarting showed 7 bars. Might be coincidence, but the same thing occurred on another trip. Guessing mileage is tricky, best guess is about 4 mpg or 56 l/100km on a 18' 170 Hp Cruise.
I do love my Switch, but the Switch fuel gauge accuracy is ridiculous! I always top off the tank whenever we have a long trip planned. Adding passengers really hurts fuel mileage big time on these boats.
