    One of the most comprehensive short reviews of products I have seen on a UA-cam detailing channel in a long time. You always have some of the best and most accurate, and most importantly, the best information for the detailing enthusiast on UA-cam related to saving money and getting the best valued product that actually WORKS as directed on the labeling. A lot of products are just hype and are promoted by all kinds of different ways and through a ton of UA-cam detailers who might possibly be getting a kick back or at least free stuff from the company they are reviewing which we all know leads to biased, even if you are not trying to be biased. Thank you for giving honest and useful reviews and demonstrations. Your channel is one of the best on UA-cam related to detailing products and product demonstrations and "how to's".

    Spotless 02 is excellent!!! it removed water spots from the glass (windshields, windows, glass roof) effortlessly in las then a minute on the first try, water spots on the paint it took 2 sometimes 3 times, and there were some places where it had already merged with the clear coat....

    Thanks for the honest review of these CarPro products. Inside does a good job cleaning up dirty leather surfaces. Darkside is my favorite tire dressing. ReTyre is a good tire cleaner but it’s really overpriced. CarPro needs to review some of their inflated prices if they want to keep up with all their competitors.

    Hey Frank, I have reached a similar conclusion about Spotless. I have ver2 and found it not very effective on water spots. The upside is that it's very safe, so on a very fresh spot on glass, I might try it first. If I need more power on stubborn water spots, there are indeed more potent products, but those will typically require a bit more caution.
    About Tar-X, beyond just a tar remover, I found it to be great at unclogging coatings during winter. I'm also in Montreal, Canada. With the road salt, I found that even after a full decon wash (alkaline prewash, descale, contact wash, iron remover), the lower panels and back hatch still don't bead water. Spray some Tar-X and it brings the water behaviour right back.

    • @Detailing_Dogma
      @Detailing_Dogma  3 місяці тому

      Hey Felipe, nice to talk to you again. I like when the local folks chimes in. Appreciate your feedback on spotless. Be careful Tar-x tends to bead water as it is a solvent, I like to quickly wash after it's application and rinse again. Maybe im wrong for your case though. I get a lot of tar bits from sporty tires stuck on the lower sides, it's very good to remove that if im not claying. I'd recommend DIY water spot remover for your winter regiment, that's so effective for minerals, much better than descale in my experience.

    Thanks for this video, I’ve only tried a few Carpro products. I do frequently use reset and d’escale on my ceramic coated truck. Great foam from both.
    I just started using Darkside so it’s to early to give a long term opinion. So far I love the deep darkness that it gives tires. Unfortunately with all the rain in Quebec and Ontario recently it’s been hard to keep anything clean,
    Thanks for your openness as usual Frank!

      Try Koch Active Foam as pre- wash, Reset as soap or As, Sonax Spray and Seal, finish with DIY Ceramic Gloss on every surface.
      Re-apply Sonax every few washes.
      It offers a true solid base layer that lasts and is easy to use.
      A layer of Collinite 476 or 845 : magic in a can.
      The above is what I use in Belgium.

    FWIW, I like Reset and the Skin Care kit. Sampled most of their offerings. Some of their products, like the original Ech2o were a genuine PITA to work with. Still have almost half of what I originally bought. Truly dislike the intense scent of their Inner QD. Wasn't thrilled with Perl. Multi-X is OK; IMO there are better cleaners. Nothing else truly struck me in one way or another. Almost forgot, I like their soft white pads, too.
    Edit: Forgot to mention Hitemp Products' Tire Cleaner. Serious old school. I started in '06 and it was already a staple for folks. Like Cockpit Premium that's been around for ages and is difficult to beat at its game. Same for HT Tire Cleaner. Pulls out the gunk without agitation. Truly superb. I have ReTyre. It's competitive.

    Awesome video Frank, I’ve tried a lot of Carpro products but the only ones I still keep using are Carpro QD, Reset, Perl and Descale. What do u think about carpro lift? Keep up the great work! 🤝🤝

    • @Detailing_Dogma
      @Detailing_Dogma  3 місяці тому +2

      Hey Mario nice to see you again, it's all solid products, Perl is a staple Ive almost included it in my short list. I love Descale to wash as it's very very slick when used in the right dilution but I have not seen much progress to unclog coatings, I prefer DIY WR for that. Lift is good enough, I have been through 2 one Liter bottle in the past, it isn't as good as my staple KCX Superfoam but works great for most people. CLings real good to the paint but built to not attack coating too much thats why it lacks some power IMO. Cheers man ✌️

    Hey Frank! A good one again my man (a very good idea to rank a ones brand products with an addition of their not so good products! I think it's fresh look on reviewing and very informative and objective!) When I think Carpro I think quality: I agree with te top 5 best - Retyre is amazingly strong, although the price kills this one for me as mostly I just use Surfex Hd ( a LOT cheaper but not so effective), Ironx is a staple in the industry! Really good one, also recommend ironx paste on matte wheels with heavy staining and just massage it with gloved hands into the wheel face! Also good for decon with carpro polyshave in conjunction. I just bought my first Reset as I didn't used it before, hope it's as cool as you say it is :) and darkside.. My gods how this one is great.. No words. I just love it. About those not to good ones, I used elixir (meh) and spotless v2 (super meh) I'm also not a fan. Still they all are fairly priced (except Retyre..) here in the EU and their CQ UK3 is still a go to for many, many ppl here. Cheers!

    I agree. If I had to choice one line of products, CarPro would be on my short list. However, I'm not familiar with their compounds and polishes. As far as product names, they could do better. I've had to make a cheat sheet of what each product is for. Release, Reset, Reload, Relax. WTF?

    • @Detailing_Dogma
      @Detailing_Dogma  3 місяці тому

      Hey Aubrey, nice to see you again on the channel, glad to have you, as far as their compound are concerned, Reflect is a very good finishing polish, fixer is a dust machine i'd avoid and Ultracut is apparently pretty good but havent touched it yet. I think their products name are pretty good, they relate to what the product does, it's original and desirable. But you're right it can get confusing. They shoot for a cool and original name it's of a simple straight forward name.

      I have never used Snowsoap and paste, i dont they fit me well, the soap needs very high dilution, this product was their main soap before they came up with Reset, their original belief was to use some sort iron removal at every wash. La réputation de Carpro n’est plus à refaire mais depuis 2 ans, il y a tellement de jeune compagnie qui font d’excellents produits dès la première année ( DIY Detail et ADS pour en nommer que 2)et qui sont drôlement présent sur les réseaux sociaux que je suis moins enclins à acheter du Carpro.
    Retyre qui est excellent mais trop cher j’utilise maintenant celui de ADS qui est diluable
    Darkside pour le moyen terme sinon c’est le Geyon Tire Express
